This really blows. I may not have been around for that long, but I have met some truly AMAZING people on here, that I have since then spent countless hours playing both DBD and other games with, and just spent some very nice time with.
Thanks to this forum, we have gathered a large group of people from around the world.. quite literally, who share the same love and passion for DBD as I (and probably many others) do.
It is sad to come to know that the OG forums are being shut down, but we do have alternatives.
I will greatly miss this place though 🥺
Sincerely: THE_Crazy_Hyena

Survivor is not lucrative enough, especially in soloQ. This is due to several factors like killer power creep, matchmaking and MMR.
During SWF-hours, the queue times do go down, but it is generally less fun to play during that time.
-
You have played with me enough to know my style (at least as survivor). But since this is about the killer role, I will go more in depth.
Game approach: I start out analyzing the kinds of survivors I am facing. Flashlights, tollboxes, medkits etc. If I see two or more toolboxes, I tend to fish for a more favorable lobby if the queue time is not too long. Once loading into the match, I pay attention to my spawn point, and if I spawn away from the center of the map, I will go towards the opposite side. However, if I spawn near the center, I will circle around near the generators.
I play with a laxed playstyle for the most part, going for chases primarily, unless I lose too much gen pressure. I will then focus primarily on gen defense, and apply as much pressure as possible. I generally avoid tunneling, unless absolutely necessary to regain control. I also avoid slugging, unless it is the end game, and all bets are off, especially if I know there are more survivors nearby, who can potentially end up dropping the ball (if they are being greedy). But you will never see me tunnel someone at 5 gens, or 4-man bleedout slug anyone. Those tactics are scummy.
Perks / Add-ons: I usually run generalist (jack of all trades) kind of builds that help in more than one aspect. I do like stealth builds too, and it is always funny building around Secret Project or something like that.
I also run chase oriented builds at times. And as for add-ons I generally run add ons that enhances the power or alters the power in some way. Examples: Trickster reload speed, Scratched Mirror Myers / Classic Myers, Demo shred cooldown and so on.
Mentality: Relaxed, unless the survivors are being like mosquitoes. For me a 3K is a win, and I don't care if the last survivor gets out via the hatch or if they manage to open a door (I often give them the escape anyways). However, if the survivor team is trying shenanigans against me (sabo, head on, flashlights w/Champion and so on), I don't feel sorry about going for the 4K. Read: being like mosquitoes. Currently, I am going a bit harder, due to having a 30-day challenge going.
Killers: Trickster, Myers, Demo, and for 30 days: Houndmaster
-
Community modding could also mean community-made maps. Like what is the case with games like Counter-Strike, where some community maps got so popular that they became permanent additions.
Some notable examples are de_cache, and de_cpl_strike (which became known as de_mirage), where Valve actually bought out the rights to the maps from the creators
-
How about no.
Legion is obnoxious as is already, and buffing them to Nurse-tier won't really help. I mean, there IS a reason why that character got removed from 2v8.
We really don't need any more powercreep on the killer side

Yeah I think the problem was them ever thinking it was good to nerf it in the first place regardless because again its the anniversary. The cakes are a even bigger appeal than the event itself. Nerfing their drop rate we see whats happening now is killing the event more than the events balancing imo (which is horrendous as well ofc)
Indeed, the cakes are the big appeal
-
A step in the right direction, but it is still not enough as compared to other years.
The rarity needs to be changed to Common. Or rather re-introducing the special "Event" rarity we used to have before the whole rarity nonsense we got last year.
-
@IronKnight55 said:
Honestly, this doesn’t bother me, probably because I rarely have extra cakes left over since I don’t usually play much during events, and I’ve gotten a decent amount so far. I can see why people are upset though. This is the 10th anniversary, and it does feel a bit stingy of them. It should be a huge celebration with tons of BPs.
A bit stingy? This year has been cake crumbs in comparison to any other year imo.
Worst event of all time, in a game that would take tens of thousands of hours to grind out enough points for all the characters.
Don't know why BHVR has been so stingy with BP lately, but they faced a lot of backlash when they changed the quest system, and especially the daily ones (max 20k BP vs. up to 180k). They faced massive backlash when the Christmas reward calendar got changed to give less BP and shards. They faced backlash when the blood moon event rolled around, and the BP gains got halved for a lot of the event stuff.
Percentage based multipliers got changed, and that resulted in less BP overall.
And now, the 10 year anniversary event hardly gives any cakes at all. Who is the bright soul who has made the decision to neuter every BP gain? Because we players are growing tired of this horrid practice, in a game that gets grindier with every patch. I know for a fact that I won't spend a dime, or any time on this until they fix the drop rates for cakes to be on par with every previous year.

Lol that's rich…except this forum is literally fighting for attention and influence the developers to side with killers. Don't just "It's just a game". If it's just a game, then killers should stop their whining about strong survivor perks. You're just dismissing the issue completely with that statement. You know what, join him, you detestable human…my goodness, how many times do you need to speak your mind on this forum to change the game to the way you want it? Because that's the only way I can see how the game has developed over the years of gutting the survivors. 1144 posts…jeez, got nothing better to do huh. I don't get on this forum much, but I can tell that you guys influence the developers to hard nerf and when survivors adapt, you guys still complain complain complain…like stop the bitchin already. I have faced actual good killers and I respect their cleverness, but the game has evolved to the point where you idiots just get our heads on a silver platter. So stop conveniently saying it's just a game and getting into a dumb tangent. I could have said that pre-nerf as well. It's just a game killer, deal with the op survivors bro.
Do you have a problem with people who has been around for longer?
And how do you know what @hermitkermit is playing? I have never seen them play killer. But it is totally possible to see both sides of the gameplay aspect

I worry doing it that way will just lead too continuing of dodging but now people who dont dodge will be forced to wait longer in lobbies as it backfills for the correct bracket (and if its same dude we gotta wait longer as person dodging can freely shop for lobby)
I think the only way to fairly make the issue stop is to lock people into the lobbies, or penalities for agreesive dodging (repeatedly doing it over and over) so people still have a freebe for genuine reasons but cant abuse it without penalty. OR remove killer info from lobby so they cant see oppenents but i know thats unpolular take.
I dont think its the main reason but think its a pretty major reason that is offten overlooked. i dont think it even gets the chance to work correctly in alot of matches due to dodging and if it goes unchanged when MMR rework happens thoes matches will continue to have issues and people will still complain about the MMR
I have always said that the loose MMR and backfilling of lobbies has created an unhealthy loop. I really wish they can change the system for the better. Or as someone else pointed out, bring us back to the "good ole' days"

It's not cheese at all and it's not exploiting anything. Everyone uses the bad matchmaking and it's extremely counterable, not even to a difficult degree. I'm sorry you don't agree, but it's very skillful.
Well for one, we already know the majority of matches are not solo queue first of all. Secondly you just look for the survivor on the ground. It's not hard. Takes time yes, but he's also not getting all the regression benefit that he would get from hooking with the meta regression perks. I won't really get into perks since you want base kit references but vigil hard counters it and is literally meta atm. How do they know where the killer is? Literal game sense. I don't run aura perks on survivor and I generally know the rough location of the killer most the time. This isn't a 12k hour thing either, it's basic. You're literally comparing apples to oranges. This is a silly comparison that doesn't work at all.
Painting someone as a heartless robot for a play style is quite ridiculous. People being irrational isn't my problem. I'm not accountable for instability. I would rather always be slugged than hooked. Me having fun isn't the killers responsibility. Especially when nothing is being done with malintent and simply strategy. Just because I think it's ridiculous to be bothered by slugging doesn't mean I'm going to shame or mock those people, they can feel how they want to feel. Trying to paint someone that slugs as a bad person is wild. That is part of the problem right there.
To be fair, 4-man slugging isn't skillful at all. It is abusing a mechanic that is in most cases completely uncounterable.
I mean, who are always running things like Unbreakable, WGLF, Made For This, etc.
It is not very common at all. Most survivors I see nowadays are running the usual SB+Vigil, Finesse and chase-oriented builds. Maybe the odd Deliverance or Shoulder the Burden, but I hardly ever encounter anti-slug in my games.
So this is clearly abusing a pretty uncounterable mechanic, that is really unfun and uninteractive to play against

I just came back from a longer "break", and now I see this.

I feel the map is okay, but it definitely needs some adjustments to play better.
Aesthetically, it is a solid 10, but gameplay wise, it really doesn't feel all that well. -

do you have to loop on the left side over there?

Ghoul doesn't fit in 2v8, due to the same reason as why Legion didn't.
Getting that first hit, and applying deep wounds is WAY too easy.Trickster on the other hand isn't nearly as offensive as Legion or Ghoul, and thus can work in 2v8.
Not exactly sure how he'd work in conjunction with Huntress, but I am sure the lockers could be different from the players' perspectives (huntress sees hatchets, and trickster sees knives).Freddy.. I am not sure how the whole dream world mechanic would work, and how it would affect the second killer. How would the lullaby mechanic work if he was paired with Huntress?
I think Freddy is best left to 1v4 -
No, just no!
He was removed for a good reason.
-
I think this issue is directly linked to framerate. If you are playing on 120 fps, and are able to maintain a stable 120 fps, then the skillchecks does feel smooth and responsive.
However, once this framerate starts to fluctuate, that is when you are noticing inconsistency in the skillchecks. -
On one hand, a system like this would be good if you were to run into cheaters, and being able to outright blocking them from showing up in your games again.
But on the other hand… I know for a fact that a system like this would be heavily abused by players wanting to avoid better players, and thereby messing with queue times.
And I have a feeling that the bad will outweigh the good when it comes to something like this. -

Outfits with bright colors and shiny attachments like glowing wings/tails, are for flex, not stealth. They're basically a big bright banner in all caps saying "CATCH ME IF YOU CAN!", or in essence a statement that you are so good at chases/looping that you're bold enough to stand out, and won't even try to sneak around. If you're not that good at looping, or just prefer a stealthier approach, as good as the cosmetic is, it's not your best option. I'm not trying to gatekeep here, tbh I main killer, and I have learned to avoid the flashy outfits and go for the more normal or muted colored ones, because I know the bright ones are on players who want me to chase them first, whereas the more normal/muted ones tend to be easier to catch.
This is my own opinion of course, and may not be true for everyone, but so far from my experiences… it's mostly true. Sometimes I do run into the occasional Flashy player who is much worse at chases than their teammates, but this is much more rare for me. However in High SBMM/MMR matches, it doesn't matter what cosmetics they bring, I just know I'm in for a rough time if I'm not playing any of the A-S tier killers.
Seeing as you're new to the forums and this is your first post, I feel obligated to warn you that most Survivor players/mains are very vocally opposed to Stealth Favoring survivors, who they often call "Rats" due to their habits of hiding in corners, not doing gens, or going for rescues in order to try and survive the trials… There is a good way to play survivor stealthily, but it's very rare to meet a good one vs a rat. They may assume you to be one, and respond in kind with some vitriol while encouraging you to play more brazenly and take more risks.
Bottom line: Welcome to the forums, there's nothing wrong for wanting to play stealthily, but a flashy cosmetic won't help that playstyle no matter how much you like it, so save it for a bold playstyle rather than stealth, and ignore any criticism you may get from other survivor players who might harangue you for choosing stealth over boldness. Play however you want to play and enjoy the game!😊
Edit: Also, Fortunately for you, the outfit is not a tie in to any licenses like many of the recent Darkest Dungeon themed cosmetics are, so The devs may actually consider you're request, but, sigh… it's unlikely unless the request gets a lot of support, so I voted up your post, and hopefully many supporters will agree and follow in suit.
Pretty much this yeah.
Outfits like "Winged Sable". "Pixel Feng" and "Kitsune Yui" (you know which ones I mean), are definitely visually loud, and meant to draw attention. -

I was Wesker with a Hillbilly who was trying his best but he was either new or just new to Billy. He couldn't get a down.
The game was the most competitive I've played in a while with both me and the Survivors sweating, teabagging, flashlight clicks.
It was fun and very intense but poor Billy couldn't get a down.
After a minute of no action, I found Sable welcoming me to a bonfire with her teammates. I went and got Billy and for about 3 minutes we just watched the fire...
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/1A2OCH86P6Y7/1000040948.jpg
After a few head nods, we went back to playing like our lives depended on it which makes this more special to me - they intentionally gave Billy a couple kills and free downs during endgame.
A beautiful moment from our game and a reminder that despite how competitive or new or try hard or whatever - we all can be respectful and appreciate that we have our community.
Quite the wholesome moment. That screenshot really summed up that we are more than just the characters on the screen.
Props to the survivors for making the billy feel better -
@GeneralV said:
Glad we are moving past the idea that the killer side is wholesome and free of toxicity while survivors are all toxic, at least.
Both sides have their unfortunate share of toxic players and they both have it in equal measure. That has always been the case.
More often than not, I see players who has bad rep in both roles. Being toxic just for the sake of it.
It's really not a side-issue, it is respectfully a player issue. -

A time based asym and survivors are given every advantage to waste the killers time yet the killer has almost zero agency left after nerfs. Gen speeds get buffed while gen regression gets nerfed. Sloppy butcher gets nerfed to 70 seconds making it to where survivors dont have to worry about their macro play while heal speeds get buffed to oblivion. Tunneling was an effective strategy in a game with no rules but the devs caved to made up survivor rules and added anti tunnel mechanics and then buff basekit borrowed time to 15 second. Please explain to me how this isnt a survivor sided game again? Every patch we just have to adapt to new things survivors get to do and just be told to get better as killer. Survivors have never been told by the devs to get better but every patch, the devs tell us to adapt. Ghoul got nerfed because of trash tier survivors lol a killer we paid money for just to be gutted a week later because of survivor tears
I feel like all you do is complaining, so I am going to make this brief.
It sounds to me that you are having too easy of a time at your actual MMR, so the game gives you competent survivors as a result.
Think about it, if you keep winning by tunneling, you will eventually get to the point where you are facing players who can counterplay your "strategy". So change up the way you play. Change your build, and change the gameplay loop to work in your favor again. This is called adapting to the situation.
-
Highly dependant on the situation.
If the killer is far away, and preferably in a chase with someone else, then yes, heal under hook.
If the killer is closer (first layer of TR), then moving away from the hook is the better idea.
If the killer is very close (less than 16 meters) you need to ask yourself, why did I do this?Perks also play into this a lot.
If the unhooked has Resurgence, and you yourself has We'll Make it or Botany, or if a CoH is set up nearby, then sure, heal right away.
If you run We'll Make it or Botany, you can also debate if healing under hook is the right play, especially if the killer is far away, and doesn't possess a high-mobility power, like Kaneki or Billy. -
I've had some decent success with Trickster, running Blood Favor, Mindbreaker, Iron Maiden and Darkness Revealed.
While I haven't played that much DBD over the past 30 days, 70% KR over 16 matches isn't that bad. -

Theres a particular few id love to see but have been mostly forgotten by everyone these days.
Dino Crisis : Resident evil's dinosaur variant thats been locked away since the first xbox, but seems to still have a fanbase hoping for capcom to revive the series either with remakes or a reboot. Has less characters than resident evil but the main heroine Regina is certainly a popular choice for a survivor, enough so that itd fit even as a survivor only chapter, if dinosaurs were being held off for jurassic park or something.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/BLBNXMVJ1TYX/dinocrisis.jpg
Turok : started out as comics, about native americans fighting dinosaurs/aliens/mutants etc with futuristic weapons and traveling through time. More about a specific native appointed as a kind of hero of sorts, the position being called Turok. On nintendo 64 they created one of the most brutal, gory horror shooters at the time in an entire trilogy for n64. Mostly known for its very unique guns and weapons like the Cerebral Bore (fires a homing projectile that drills into your head and explodes). It has a rather interesting cast of native characters particularly in turok 3, which could fit dbd well. With many monsters/dinosaurs etc to choose for a killer.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/S2CA71PSKYGU/turok-3-artwork.jpg
The X-Files : everyones heard of Supernatural, but they were clearly inspired by the X-Files. Not many survivors to choose from but theres 2 main characters as it is a show entirely about a duo of fbi agents trying to solve supernatural cases that were never finnished before. Agents Dana Skully (she believes in all things practical and doesn't believe in supernatural things) and Fox Mulder (who had firsthand experience of the supernatural at a young age and believes firmly in the supernatural) they would certainly fit well in dbd, as theyve also alredy had their own survival horror game back in the day on ps2. Basically the show was like a giant set of mini horror movies sometimes even taking inspiration from other movies like The Thing.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/GQ0FIB7WXWP3/91uxiwycaal-ac-uf894-2c1000-ql80.jpg
X-COM : one of the most brutal horror themed squad based tactics games. It took the old "grey big eyed martians taking over the world" thing and twisted it into a realistic horror game where there are no main characters because people die so easily in that series. You create your own base and elite squad much like a swat team, and shoot down U.F.Os, then secure the crash sights, mostly with aliens still alive and hiding amongst the wreckage where you have to hunt them down without any knowledge of what they are capable of, where they are, or even what they are. My favorite in the series was xcom: terror from the deep. Most seemed to find its idea funny rather than scary but it involved hunting the aliens in shot down ufos, at the bottom of the ocean. So just imagine having to walk at the bottom of the ocean, in pitch blacn darkness, hunting aliens that can see in the dark, breathe underwater, and are equipped with high tech weapons quite easily able to puncture your high pressure suit. And all you got is a harpoon gun. Seemed pretty intimidating to me. They could fit into dbd as original made survivors much like aestri and baemar with dnd, with a host of alien monsters to choose from.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/HLF2UETZ7NLM/wp9ddvfvxls2fl8wti1opg3okielnqkl.jpeg
I have also said that Dino Crisis would be a MUCH better IP for DBD than Jurassic Park ever would.
Dino Crisis (at least the first game) was made in a similar way to the classic Resident Evil games, being a survival horror game.
And Regina is like the Dino Crisis version of Jill Valentine, so that would be a great fit.
As for the killer, the Dino Crisis version of the human-sized Velociraptor would be an excellent candidate, much more so than the Indoraptor from Jurassic Park, as that would need to be scaled down a lot.Another license I would love to see in DBD would be "Fritt Vilt" (Cold Prey). A Norwegian made slasher movie series, inspired by classics like Halloween and Friday 13th.
The characters are also well established and recognizable, with the main character "Jannicke" (last name unknown) as the survivor, and the Mountain Man as the killer.Imagine seeing that guy coming after you. Tall as Myers, with a giant pickaxe as a weapon.

Here we go with the gaslighting from the survivor community once again. Nah man thats survivors. The only role who can consistently mess around, not do the objective and still win is the survivor role. Thats why they nerfed mangled into the ground. Why should survivors have to worry about their macro play, goof off and not heal, do a whole gen and then get to heal for free after only 70 seconds? Lol survivors heal meta is insane right now because of resurgence but they nerf sloppy into the ground.
Who said Rulebreaker is a survivor main?
His breakdown of your argument was great and detailed, and showcased how the different mechanics prevents one side from completely denying the other one to even play the game.
And it's not like the survivor side doesn't have limitations as well. Like if someone decides to hard-tunnel you or a teammate, proxy camp the basement, or 4-man slug happening, then the survivor team is (pardon my language) shite out of luck, unless the other 3 survivors are glued to generators without managing to 3-gen themselves.I have during my well over 2000 hours in the game seen both the best and the worst of this community, and trust me, the killer can also mess around.
But it seems to me that you'd rather stick to a stale meta (that the other side knows how to play around), instead of innovating and trying new builds that might work better for your choice of killer. -

I agree.
And even if something does get fixed, it is way too little and far too late. Besides, for every problem fixed a new one appears. It has been an unfortunate truth for years and it is unlikely to change anytime soon.
The game has felt like a big bowl of spaghetti, ever since they moved from UE4 to UE5.
The code-base BHVR made back in 2016 has really overstayed its welcome, and I think it is high time that we get a rebuilt game from the ground up.@Shroompy said:
I am not one to complain very much, those who know me can probably even back me up on that. Even during some of the most infamous times of the games history I still pushed through because of the love I have for this game. But lately? This game is actually becoming so damn unbearable. Well over half of my games (60-70%) in the past week has had someone DC or give up at the very start/early in the match for the most dumb ######### which just spoils the rest of the match for everyone. Even when there wasn't a disconnect penalty and killing yourself on hook was much easier, it wasn't NEARLY as bad as it is today. There NEEDS to be proper punishment for these people because they are the most insufferable PoS. I had one who immediately threw themselves at me the moment the game started, I simply slugged him until he bled out (because ######### him for ruining the game) and then decided to farm with the rest of the team so that we could at least get something from the game. This guy waited THE ENTIRE TIME just to talk ######### in the end. We need MUCH harsher penalties than what we currently have and blatant giving up from the beginning of the game needs to be made a reportable offense because its getting ridiculous.
Then there's the new update where everything is just going to ######### with a lot more bugs that just make you question how the ######### does it even make it to live. In some cases it takes ONE. ONE GAME and you would realize something is wrong. Trickster for example, his spawn in animation is broken and he doesn't laugh when ranking up. Several killers having audio issues where they are WAY louder than they should be, and then of course there's the good ol' performance issues and crashing. Despite how buggy the game is I still decide to play it, I enjoy the game enough for it to not bother me enough. But now the game quite literally crashes every time it launches. These past few months were meant to be a "project health" and NOTHING changed. The quality of life features we have gotten are great don't get me wrong, but the game it self is still riddled with bugs and it really sucks to say that they probably aren't gonna be fixed any time soon.
And then cheaters.. I luckily have been lucky enough to not encounter to many of them but I know there are some people out there who unfortunately run into them quite frequently and it really makes you wonder how they've been able to get away with it for so long. I know its a never ending battle but it feels like the same cheats have been in play for SO long and it really feels as if nothing is being done to fix it.
It really does break my heart to write this. I've been a consistent player since 2017 and am reaching 8k hours, but I am so tired man. I just want to be able to jump into the game and have a good time, but it is literally impossible to do so. Please BHVR, get your ######### together.
And @Shroompy I absolutely feel your frustration with the game. Players (and especially survivor players) outright giving up has been a bigger issue ever since 6.1.0 came around, but I guess it is getting worse and worse with every new update.
One more reason why I won't touch soloQ survivor these days
I would also call for more things to be reportable offenses, because the categories are a little vague.
As for cheaters, I still don't understand why the anti-cheat hasn't been improved, ever since the Epic free weekend, that brought in a slew of cheaters. Granted, I have not been running into them as much, but I have seen a few (mostly survivors insta-finishing gens or locking the killer in place), and videos of the terminator bots.
It also breaks my heart to see the game that I have spent over 2000 hours in is starting to crumble like this. I have been playing on and off since Halloween 2018, and I have been through big updates like the EGC, the MMR update, dedicated servers and 6.1.0 to name a few, but none has ever been as buggy or broken as the updates that has come after the Unreal Engine 5.0 update. -

Or blast mine. Or fireworks. Or flashbangs. But you can literally see the flashlight in the lobby. This argument would only make sense if killers couldn't see survivors in the lobby.
It semi-works with Blast Mine, since you still would eat the stun from it.

Survivors on the other hand react to such topics in another way. Many Survivors think that BHVR should make playsstyles they don´t like unusable and get mad at BHVR if they don´t do it right after the suggestion came in. From time to time I try to reason with some players in this forum that "If slugging is in 10 of 10 games why won´t you take anti slug perks?" and always the answer tend to be something like "I don´t want to use a perk for BHVRs bad game desing".
These aren't comparable. Lightborn not only deletes an item's usability with just one slot taken, it even gives undeserved aura read. Yet you could bring a whole anti-slug build and still get slugged over and over, especially in soloq. Unbreakable is one-time use, Exponential can be snuffed, Conviction and WGLF require coordination to be really useful. Most of these just prolong things. All the killer needs is Infectious Fright and your anti-alug build just give them more info to keep slugging.
Killers decide how the match will feel far more than survivors. A genuine bully squad is rare, and a competent one even more so. They're usually just a nuisance anyway. Slugging and tunneling killers are constant and far less easy to deal with. I just played 4 survivor matches, 2 with killers going for full team slugs, 1 with someone trying to tunnel me. Then I logged off. DCing and being frustrated aren't survivor problems, they're game problems.
And about getting mad when changes don't come through right away—it's been 10 years. Slugging and tunneling are still being complained about. What's the acceptable waiting period? A quarter of a century?
As you said Cogs, it is impossible to fully compare both sides.
As killer, you can play around most, if not everything the survivors do, aside from very co-ordinated teams that are super efficient. Bully-squads are few and far between, and like you said, the competent ones, even more so.
I faced a wannabe bully squad the other day when playing as MiNA, but they got promptly destroyed, and couldn't capitalize on the single flashlight save and the one sabo they managed to pull off. Too easy to play around.
I just call them a "minor annoyance" these days. The killer player has to mess up really bad, nerf themselves or get the most unfavored maps in existence to have a bad match. Usually, you are able to secure at least one kill, even in those scenarios.
The average survivors, whether it be solos, duos, trios or a full SWF, they need to play their best to even stand a chance against the average killer these days.
From my 20 or so killer matches over the past few days, I lost 4 (two were 0K's). One where I went in perkless and addonless and got Nostromo as Trickster, and one where I played Myers and was sent to Eyrie. The rest of the matches were either draws, 3K's or full 4Ks, giving me a total kill-rate of 66.67% - All this while going for 8 hooks before killing off anyone.
And I faced against survivors that ranged from a few hundred hours, all the way up to 6k hours. Blame the matchmaking for that one.So yes.. I also really want BHVR to properly address tunneling and slugging. It's been too long of an issue. Let's hope we don't have to wait a quarter of a century before it gets properly rectified

dark mode is back for me
They fixed dark mode, but the issue of not being able to change profile avatars is still present
-
What if Lights Out came back, but without killers that has Killer Instinct in their powers.

As a nurse main, she needs a complete and total rework. Every "nerf" you could possibly propose, doesn't do anything other than make her more out of reach for your average DBD player (which is most people by the way) and makes it so the ones who are really good with her aren't going to feel the nerf.
The only other option would be nerfing her to literal uselessness like Skull merchant, by like, halving her blinks or something ridiculous, and just making her completely bad and unplayable. Which that isn't really good for the game either.
Even the blight nerf is short sighted, because again, those top tier blights getting 2k winstreaks? They are still gonna get 2k win streaks. Its just going to hurt timmy who isn't very good at this game and will make him switch off blight. But timmy was never the problem.
On a slight tangent, i think a nurse rework would be one that nerfs her chase power, but buffs her map control, and making her a little easier to play.
About a nurse rework. Would she become more accessible if she defaulted to 115% movespeed, but was locked out of her blinks until she got a hit. A reverse Spasmodic Breath if you like.

what happened to avatars? does this mean I can't change from Pinhead anymore?
There was a workaround floating around some months ago, but I am not sure if it works anymore.

"Tryhards" would never click that button, because if there's one thing tryhards hate it's going against other tryhards
No one would ever click that button, in all seriousness

In any case, that third one has been a talking point for a while, since it broke many months ago at this point, and profile avatars is something that every other forum has, and some even allows uploads of custom avatars

we live in the shadows again
On a more serious note: Was it a techical issue at Vanilla (the hosting platform), that caused everything to become bright white?
And also, the various things like points, views and stuff we normally don't see, it really added more depth into the scoring system, and how things work.
Third: When will the ability to change profile avatars be a thing again? -
I have been playing more killer lately, and I have not noticed anything out of the ordinary.
The majority of matches, I get the typical soloQ'ers, and a few matches of SWF's sprinkled in. -
I genuinely dislike what they did to Kaneki, by giving him that annoying scream every time he lands his kagune leap.
He did not sound anything like it in the anime, bar that one scene where he got tortured. Note: This does not apply to RizeAs for survivors, I don't have any strong dislikes. If anything, I'd say Taurie, due to the "It should have been me" line, making her sound like she's doing nothing but complaining.

You know, that wouldn't surprise me

No more flashbangs going off in my eyes. I can finally read the text again

It is a bug. I had this happen about a week ago.
It feels like being blinded by a flashbang -
I love me some phasmo. Pretty cool that they also have an Alan Wake crossover

Has there been a YouTube video on slugging billy or something? I keep getting matched with killers who slug at 5 gens, like that's the goal of the game. Anyone else getting them? I've just started going AFK now, cause trying to deal with that in solo queue is a nightmare.
I ran into one of those slugging billys once when I was playing with @For_The_People and a common friend of ours. He was a streamer with 18,000 hours in game.
For having that many hours, and being P100, he really messed up a lot. -
I miss the days where most Doctors were running the imposssible generator builds instead of the Coulrophobia one 😏

Simple Ghoul fix:
- Canceling power after a leap slows the Ghoul down significantly for 3 seconds, with a ramping movespeed over this duration, and locks him out from using M1 until the power token has replenished.
There you go, that simple fix should make Ghoul less frustrating to play against.

This game relies too much on consistent and stable framerates for 200 fps to be considered.
If all the hardware in the world could run the game at a solid 120 fps, regardless of resolution, then it would be feasible to have that as the limit, including on consoles. -
For now, there aren't any ways to add skins to legendary characters, but there has been some conceptual ideas floating around about a way to implement this feature
