  • Killer Queues continue to get longer, notice how they even have an option when you try to queue up as killer to play a game as survivors while you wait LMAO. If that doesn't tell you the state of the game.

Also, these killer mains still refuse to directly even debate me on the standalone topic of Jason requiring an exhaust add-on for 13 seconds. Every single time he teleports to a pallet or window that gets blocked, all of your get away perks are made useless.

Here I state facts, but always faced with IMOs from these yappers. I am just waiting for the "It takes skill to play Jason" LOL.

    Jason needs a massive nerf.
I've been hit by a spear through tiny cracks between blocks. It's insane.

The biggest problem is his reload has no animation and he can pick up from miles away from a station.
Out of everything, he needs to stop when reloading.

Ghouls was a stupid addition as he's not even a killer but, I don't even want to play against this trash.

All Jason has to do is Hex: Ruin and the game is over.

Until he's nerfed, I'm out. It's boring AF.
    Later.

It's simple math. If survivors don't want to play, killer ques are longer.

  • I am genuinely not trying to argue either, but some of the comments are baseless and I wonder whether people actually are trolling because it seems to me progressively over the years, survivors get nerfed…now I don't mind most of the nerfs because I thought I was having a ball. However, when you bring in a character that literally takes away every thing possible for an escape and really oppressive every aspect of the survival game…most notably just our 1 sliver of a ticket out of a bad situation (exhaust perk)…it just makes you wonder, dang I really got play my utmost best…I really don't think I am having the greatest of times. It just became that extra high stakes.

Obviously my memory is a bit foggy on what happened over 1000s of hours of gameplay, but I remember it being triggered twice, so sorry if I got that confused. Mind you, those nerfs happened a long time ago. But the main nerf to it was completely shutting it off at the final gen pop.

Yes, it is pretty strong, if you play a strong early game as the insurance is really nice to have, but at the same time, you have killers still tunneling and still camping. So get off my nuts is what I say to those that do and eat some DS.

  • If you missed it the first time, you get a second chance to do it on your second hook.

Jesus, now you are actually going for my writing mistakes. This is becoming more and more amusing. Also not sure when I analyzed any sentences, but I guess just reading what other people wrote seems like analyzing to someone as stupid as you.

But good idea, you probably generally need some time off the internet when other people can trigger you so easily with different opinions.

No you're actually the one triggered by my comment on your game style. The same goes for you…you can't handle the truth or my opinion…IDC which you choose at this point.

Again I am guessing you wanted to reply to me? Seems like you aren't even able to quote people properly.

Not even sure what you are trying to say with that second sentence. I simply post comments on these forums to have discussions, mainly about the balance of the game, and give my feedback about the game. Of course I would never expect the devs to only listen to me, or people like me, that would be stupid.

Also, I really don't care whether you take me seriously or not. You are clearly not the type of person I would ever listen to or care about. I just find it interesting how butthurt some people get over other people's opinions, and called you out on it.

Can't quote properly you said. Let's be tit for tat so I poked at your grammar…not that difficult to assess…

All I hear is you supporting that this killer isn't overpowered, and I think you're absolutely wrong and that is based on your subjective gameplay and experience. Now I am sorry I had to make a quick assessment of your gaming aptitude when you speak with authority.

The truth is survivors are getting gutted. No more exhaust perks allowed at the highest level of gameplay, but you refuse to recognize it and just simply say "Oh, he's just A tier at best" without actually commenting on the mechanics. No supporting evidence or reasoning, so why should anyone take you seriously…because you have more posts? That's what you're banking on.

Let me know when you get 7k posts buddy.

Yeah I mean posting a few sentences isn't really that time consuming. And admittedily, I always find it interesting to converse on the internet with people like you that seem to stupid to be true.

In the end you are the one with the problem if you get triggered by differing opinions so easily.

From the guy who needs to analyze sentences and how people respond…maybe get your to, too, and twos in order. I am getting off before I become like you detestable human where your only interaction is on a forum.

  • I wonder if you are doing the same…but just in case…dead hard used to move you like 3 meters upon use. Decisive strike u used to get over maybe 90 seconds and you got 2 of them. Now I don't mind it being 1, but allow me the choice of when i want to activate it. You used to be able to use ds after the last gen…not anymore. yawn.

Did you just argue I care about what you think of me because I have so many posts on these forums? Or am I misunderstanding you here? Because I am pretty sure those 6k posts I have weren't ever about you.

Also, considering you are the one who got all personal because I have a different opinion than you on a killer in DBD, I'd say you are the one without a life taking this game maybe a bit too serious. Just because I have made many posts among the many past years on these forums doesn't mean I am wasting my time not playing the game.

I'm just poking you, you just keep on with the diatribes and the paragraphs…haha. Got'em. And guess what…if I get banned on this forum….oh man the humanity~~~

Clearly you do because thats why you have spent 114 hours to discuss about a game and have no life about it instead of playing it.

  • I speak from facts.

The fact is…killers keep getting stronger and more advantages, meanwhile survivors are getting gutted.

You say people complaining on the forums don't lead to changes in the game…WHAT?!

OK how did Dead Hard and Decisive Strike just get nerfed?

    Magic right? Just a coincidence…

  • Again, by whose authority are you speaking from? This is not how it works? Oh really? Why are you even speaking like you know it all….

This is a forum, what else are we supposed to do on here, dont need to be rude

You can always complain about the game and your validated by what you think, however you dont need to be brash about it. were all showing our opinions on here

No, the problem is, BHVR sees how many times you post and consider your opinions over those that don't post as often without regard to level of skill. And thus, we have this disparity of how killers are overwhelmingly taking precedence in the comment section resulting into their influence on how the game should work mechanically.

  • I knew that post would grind your gears, but honestly, I would be embarassed to have as many thoughts and posts like yourself on a text based website….jeez 961….get a life.

I only get on here to complain about the balance…clearly I am outmatched, I salute you internet influencing muggles.

  • You mean your B Tier Skilled mechanics with an S tier killer averages to A tier killer. That makes more sense.

    @ad19970 said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4090463#Comment_4090463

That sounds like serious overkill for Jason. To me he seems like a solid A tier killer, and A tier killers don't really need to be nerfed in any impactful way. The only nerf I would suggest is him not being able to see survivors in Omnipresent Evil when they work on totems. And maybe a very small cooldown increase for his Omnipresent Evil mode.

Again, I stress that most of you guys are S tier yappers because you post a lot and believe you have the authority to speak from experience…when you just are that…yappers…

  • LOL windows of oppor what? what opportunity is there when he blocks it for a few seconds? The troll builds and troll counterplay builds are insane…calm spirit and then they run ungodly hex totems. Windows of opportunity and then crowd control or bamboozle or blood favor…He literally spawns on the pallet or the window?

Here is what I have found as a solo Q survivor:

Finesse - not saying it guarantees anything, but it definitely helps to retain your first hit health seeing how once Jason teleports, you get EXHAUSTED. You Lithe on beta.

Quick and Quiet WITH Head On - So you're doing a generator, and then he goes into the foggy whispers…jump into the nearest locker immediately. Wait it out…Not saying it's perfect as they can run IRON MAIDEN…but it's a great middle finger to the killer.

I take it back, you actually get EXHAUSTED IN A LOCKER! WILD!!! You would think….

THE ONLY RELIABLE EXHAUST PERK - SPRINT BURST- You preemptively make noise to bait him, and then start your exhaust perk.

Sadly, you're going to need Calm Spirit, but the counter play to is so EASY FOR HIM.

Resilience/Reactive Healing/Prove thyself/Teamwork:throwdown/Teamwork:collective stealth….BHVR wants you to use the new perks. While this is great, nobody should be forced to do anything.

Actually, Teamwork:Throwdown is garbage - I take it back…like when are you going to get a pallet stun off the spear chucker…never.

4th perk is ultimately how you jive.

lol windows….you take this if you actually suck at the game as a survivor.

If you can afford it - any health kit with SYRINGE and anything other add on - This is for you diehard exhaust perk users…since you're indefinitely going to get hit by Jason. Those of you who are like NUH UH I'm just that good I can dodge it, just get good. Seriously, the average DBD survivor is not FLEXCAM or S Tier Survivor. I think I am a pretty good survivor, but nowhere to the level of moonwalking consistently.

Taking the syringe is NOT COUNTERPLAY when you have to take a hit to activate it!

Counterplay means a direct denial of Jason, which absolutely trumps him as a killer.

But hey, if this is what it takes for BHVR to get more money to make it a better game in the long run…so be it.

  • Jason grabs a spear like instantly…what other killer instantly grabs their projectile? UH NONE OF THEM. Also, most killers need to CHARGE UP their special attacks so that the survivor can get ready to dodge and be like oh here it comes…NOT SO with Jason! DBD DEVs itching for that cash!

  • Seriously, posting should be like this…

    What u main:
    # of game hours played:
    Perks most often used:
    Screenshots for proof

Then what you have to say…because a lot of you guys just yap with authority because you post so damn much.

  • Also can you guys think of a better reason than…"Oh man, I am having a lot of fun playing Jason, don't nerf him"

Because I was having a lot of fun too when dead hard was dead hard and when decisive strike could be used as a trump card for that end game. Especially paired with the deliverance. I used to be unstoppable. Man I miss having that kind of fun.

  • For me it's 2 things -
Get rid of the exhaust add-on or nerf it to 7 seconds. It really is that overpowered.
Spears should not hit over a square tile just like other projectiles when I am crouched. It actually dips so stop comparing it to other projectiles. It is wickedly fast like an instant almost.

Oh, and how convenient it is that almost every Jason game I play, 2 pallets are just non-existent. SERIOUSLY HOW MANY CRUTCHES DO YOU IDIOTS NEED!!!!

Oh yeah, this is why I remembered…10th Anniversary…BHVR is basically saying hey killers, you wanna win more? Buy JASON NOW! LOL and you guys fell right into their cash grab! Probably they aren't coming out with great enough epic survivors to buy.

  • I believe it. Now they had to actually try and convince me that the projectile is "no different from a huntress hatchet or a gunslinger shot." Actually it is different and it can shoot at crazy angles even while you are crouched. So don't give me that bull that it's the same because you can crouch to dodge huntress and gunslinger hits.

  • It's a 2 way street…you can't say one side or the other is responsible for the state of the game. The game encourages killers to tunnel or camp. The game encourages survivors to gen rush. Well when you really don't have an end game insurance policy as a survivor…I mention this in a couple of my posts, the best policy is gen rushing. I shouldn't have to tell you that gen rushing leads to less people being hooked or having more chances to escape.

YET, THE GAME IS DESIGNED TO GIVE AN OVERWHELMING SUPPORT TO KILLERS TO GET AT LEAST 1 KILL THROUGH CAMPING AT THE END GAME.

Sooooo yeah, you play terrible aaaaallll game, yet you're allowed to camp just 1 last guy and now you have an opportunity to get more. Also, it's pretty easy to get 2 or more after that last guy is hooked and is being camped when the killer is either ranged or can 1 shot you! Survivors are forced to auto concede that last survivor that got hooked for the majority win. THIS HAPPENS EVERY SINGLE TIME UNLESS IT'S AN M1 KILLER.

It's pretty lame and unfair for this last survivor to just take one for the team when he's been doing his respective job to win.

Also complaining about SWF is extremely toxic. You make it sound like survivors are so devious in their ways to work together and take down the killer. Get over yourselves. Most people just play with their friends because of Discord and that rapid intel is a nice to have. Not that they are organizing their perks to work perfectly. That probably happens 1% of the time. OHHH POOR YOU THE KILLER…now you need to make survivors pre-exhausted and be able to 1 shot them. If this sentence alone does not tell you how unfair it is, you're just flat out crazy.

  • Sorry didn't know there was a specific way to respond to a post…

  • Also, all I ever hear are ragebaiting/gaslighting comments of loop better from people who are for these op builds. How about you chase better because over half of the games I enter are killers who abuse the ping at 100ms….crazy how much crutches you guys need.

  • Yeah let's crouch all day….yawn…spirit of the game dying. The adrenaline rush of taking chase…completely obsolete. Nobody jumps on DBD as a survivor to crouch and hide all day. THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE SAYING. THE COUNTERPLAY = DON'T PLAY….YIKES #########!!!

  • Devs continue to disregard the depth of knowledge required and skill level required to face these tough killers. STILL NOT A NOOB FRIENDLY GAME!

  • Each one of those killers you just mentioned does not have an exhaustion add on. Did I complain about those other killers you mentioned…no. ou just admitted that the "counter perks" are useless, so what options do we have if a survivor wants to get away asides from taking damage? You didn't even express what is the counterplay. I can't wait for the nerfs, but seeing how he is p2w, I think we are going to get another Kaneki.

  • Apparently me taking Balanced Landing, Dead Hard, Adrenaline and Resilience was so toxic to one killer that he had to tunnel me. Amazing I have literally only 1 perk at full health, 2 when in injured, 3 once I am hooked, and 4 when we finish the very last gen was just soooo toxic. LMAO!

  • Yeah, I wonder why he has no counterplay? Why don't survivors have an ace up their sleeves? Oh right, because Jason has an ability to deny exhaust get away perks that lasts ungodly amount of time. It feels like Jason always has a spear to throw which funny enough has a velocity that is faster than a hatchet or a gunslinger shot.

Oh yeah lets counter him by taking - Urban Evasion, Calm Spirit…blah blah…all C tier perks….wow so much fun. Forcing survivors to play a specific type of way is ridiculously boring. Limit survivor options, but increase killer options….nice.

  • I personally feel BHVR is killing the spirit of the game. It used to be really fun going for chases and an exhilarating experience of adrenaline rush. Now it's like…hey just expect that it is this oppressive and hide. It's just not fun any more. Do those gens in silence. Hide more.

  • Except Jason and Kaneki are the epitome of overpowered or P2W. Even strong survivor streamers agree. OP is not trolling, you're just side with killers because you lose plenty. Survivors do not have an insurance policy to survive end game, yet Killers do have an end game strat to get at least 1 kill. But hey lets keep giving killers more abilities and inherent add-ons to get make your lives easier.

  • lol the killer moves across the map and it's a skill issue, forget that it's op…."survivor you should have seen it coming"….

  • I will tell you that westerners from my experience focus on farming points at your expense. As you have mentioned that generator progress is prioritized to ensure exiting, many players in the western servers attempt to play for the flashlight save or some playstyle that ensures you struggle off the killer's shoulder or a sabotage build. The especially bad ones are always hiding and doing nothing. Then you have those that immediately go to save you to get that 1000 bonus blood point at your expense even when the killer is within range. But, just like how NA players never gets to the finals of major competitive gaming, they also fail at this game pretty hard…so it is to be expected. Hence, why you have so many whiny killer mains that need free hits.

Also, you mention some of the more common perks that Asian players pick. However, I can tell you that NA players commonly and almost at least 2 of the players in your lobby never pick an exhaust perk (SB) or some sort of guarantee temporary survival perk (OTR, DS). The always pick 4 B tier perks to play for FUNSIES.

  • BTW, why can't you killer main's express why you deserve to get free hits?

  • I think I pretty much expressed it, why should a killer get a free hit? My goodness, no wonder you need everything on a silver platter.

How about a chase where I can at least contest your first hit without having to immediately use my exhaust perk and even then it's like it doesn't even matter.

  • Free hits are gross…have fun playing with bots…I doubt there will be many survivors wanting to play this game now.

  • This is the problem with you folks….his leap simply is not enough. If his ranged attack was completely gutted, then it would be balanced.

  • And I hope it does not feel the same because as of right now there aren't any safe loops. You are going to get deep wounded every time no matter how early you start running away and how much distance you traverse. He is able to L shape his way with one leap. Then L shape again to ensure he can lock on to you for a deep wound.

No, it's perfectly fine that some things are easy to play. This might be a strange concept, but not every Killer should have a high barrier to entry before you can have fun with them, and there is no reason aside from snobbery to go "well, if it's easy to pick up, then it should suck long term". I don't even follow how Survivor perks come into it; perks that are easy to use don't need to be weak (the problem with old DH wasn't ease of use, it was how many effects it basically had at once).

And no, right now Kaneki's a weird beast, because he's more like a legion-blight-deathslinger mix, but doesn't really do the same thing as any of them. More Blight than Wesker, and the vaulting just as easily fits under Legion. Your proposals basically take out the Blight aspect (mobility and can use power to manoeuvre to get downs) and would leave us with a nonfunctional version of Deathslinger+Legion.

Mmm, I think Ghoul's current range is 32m, whereas DS is 24m, so -15 would be nearly half. For a power centred on grabbing objects to use as mobility, limiting that part so drastically guts it: the actual distance traversed compared to walking is quite low, and the ability to latch onto things becomes very poor. DBD has really weird distance judgement sometimes, but to put it one way: the smallest tile is 16x16m; you'd require that you be basically in a tile before the mobility aspect of the power is usable. That's terrible.

A massive cooldown before you can take action after using the power for mobility makes it even worse: no matter where you stop, that's plenty of time to get away, and because of your cooldowns and short range, that's no beating someone to another tile (or using it around a tile, because this kills both aspects).

So, now that we have those numbers out of the way, let's revisit my conclusion: if we took all of your nerfs, we would have a character as hard to aim as Deathslinger, who can only get an injury when travelling at speed – so, already harder than Deathslinger to use just for that part of their power – who can't use their power to directly down anyone; this power can't be used around loops because the cooldowns are terrible, forcing you to be an M1 Killer; can't really use the ability for map traversal in exterior maps because the range is too short and is limited in indoor maps because oh hey there's a wall (same as it is now, tbh); and can't use the ability in chase to bodyblock because again the range and cooldown have been nerfed to hell.

This wouldn't be a character that's fun to play, let alone master, because every part of the kit will feel bad. If it counts as "fun to play against", then that's only because it'd be trivial to deal with. Avoiding the first hit? Well, it's deathslinger-level aim that requires the Killer to use their power on an object first, so that's super telegraphed and easy to avoid. Avoiding downs? Any loop. Any loop and you're an M1 Killer.

Where exactly do you get the idea that having 3 different killers combined in 1 is not enough? So stupid.

  • Except that the tunnel strat will inevitably make it 100%. There are some killers that even if you tunnel, the killer loses, but I don't see it happening with this one.

  • I have also had it where my dead hard is actually not working and I timed it perfectly.

  • except that it's still a free hit and can hit through tiles….at least with legion you can somewhat predict that you are about to get hit with the power and you can prevent it if you get lucky.

  • Hmm I think I am mostly concerned with end game camp...do killers really need such a strong recourse when they played so badly in every aspect of the game? If you play to camp you are pretty pathetic anyways and why are you in this conversation anyways. With so many resources - bloodlust, 1 shot downs, gap closers, slows, thanataphobia, scourge hook pain resonance, jolt, nerf to nearly all the best solo q perks of survivors, what more do you need? And then you say you need to camp? I shouldn't have to team up with some other person to win. I get that it's a team game, but I shouldn't have to be forced to correspond with anyone to win. People who justify camping basically are probably the same privileged loser in life saying, "I deserve at least 1 kill" moaning that they should have an even easier time winning. Then you have the nerve to say gg at the end of the game because you abuse the simplest game mechanic. GTFO here. Meanwhile, survivors have to play nearly a perfect way. Yes, I agree, do the gens....no ######### sherlock. And the only way that actually gets done is if everyone solo staggers gens. Oh, but wait, that's an even more reason for killers to camp. What do survivors get? We need to perfectly time a pallet, we need to perfectly time a dh, we need to perfectly time a ds, we need to perfectly stagger gens, we need to perfectly time the flashlight save, we need to perfectly loop to get value for pallets. I can go on about the skill level that is required to be a good survivor vs the easy skill level to camp.

Answer the question: Why do you deserve a free kill by camping in the end game?

Again I hear some stupid logics like use reassurance...can you please read? What does that have to do with my post of trade hooks? Why do killers deserve a mechanic to be able to get free hooks?

Trade smartly? The queue is basically programmed against survivors. I don't know if you remember, but queues are matched up so that killers get a chance by facing a balance of noobs and skilled players. The killers easily find the noobs and it's basically 2v1 end game. All that's left is to camp.
