  • Why is there no option to apply the settings you make in the settings menu. It is really annoying, having to change the settings every time you boot up the game. Game boots with these settings for me, even though I have changed them around since I got a new graphics card, which should be like this: Notice how th

  • Since we always seems to bicker about killers, survivors, tunneling, genrushing and whatnot. I wanted to ask everyone who they think are the most iconic members on the forums these days. As for me, I'd say the following: Legendary: @Pulsar 🤴 @Aven_Fallen @GeneralV @Nazzzak @Nun_So_Vile 🐽 @GoodBoyKaru @UndeddJester @AmpersandUnderscore Iconic: @crogers271

  • With Chaos Shuffle returning soon, it will now also feature random add-ons for killers and survivor items. But I was thinking. What if we took it a step further and made EVERYTHING randomized. Perks = Random Add-ons = Random Survivor items = Random Survivors = Random Killer = Random Roles = Random* Players can still select universal offerings, such as BP, maps, hatch/basement and so on.

  • As the title suggests, how would the game balance have turned out if perks scaled based on team size for survivor, or relative strength as a killer? So let's say that you take a perk like Sprint Burst, and subtract 5% Haste for each survivor in your party (if the party size is 3 or more) and a 10% increase if you play solo, or make Pain Res only regress a gen by 15% for a killer like Blight or

  • Tunneling, or getting tunnel-vision. That is the definition used when the killer targets one specific survivor until they are dead/sacrificed. Sometimes it happens right away, even at 5 gens left, and other times it is used as a last ditch measure to slow the game down. Personally, I see this happen in around 75% of my survivor games since patch 9.3.0 dropped, because the survivor role got nerf

  • Recent discussions with @cogsturning and some other players has made me wonder about what some actual good QoL changes might be. The most debated topic: Tunneling. As has been the case ever since the 9.2.0 PTB, the discussion around tunneling, prevention of said tunneling, and not being too punishing has been like a rollercoaster to say the least. My refined idea of anti-tunneling would be s

  • So, here we are again, talking about the map balance. Now that I have had more time to fully test out the maps, and fairly extensively too, I can make a better judgement on how (at least) I feel about the current state of the maps. The TL:DR is in the image A more in-depth breakdown below Pretty balanced for both sides Ormond Lake Mine - Not much cha

  • No killer instinct when throwing the axe on a locker with a survivor inside. No killer instinct activation upon throwing the axe in the vicinity of a Survivor. Audible footsteps in the trial when traveling in between security doors (both Springtrap and survivors) Axe gets removed from lockers when a survivor exits You get stuck in the match whenever a Survivor leaves the trial via the Hatch

  • I noticed in another discussion with @jesterkind toolboxes being mentioned as a problem, and I can see why, especially when it comes to gen-rushing. I think there needs to be a pass done to toolboxes, in a similar fashion to the recent map and key reworks. Here's how my idea would be like: Removed: Worn-out Tools (brown), Mechanic's Toolbox (green/blue), Commodious Toolbox (green/blue). C

  • So, after watching a map-related video posted on Youtube, I wasn't all that impressed with the rankings, clearly showing a bias towards the more killer-sided maps, ranking them a lot higher than the ones that skews more towards survivors. Therefore I figured I'd make my own tier-list. An in-depth description, and reasoning for each map's placement (from

  • Take a close look at the neck. Notice the difference in skin tone and texture, which causes a "seam" where the head model connects to the body.

  • Or lack thereof. 3 prestiges worth of levels (150 levels for those who wonder), and I could only get THREE party streamers out of those bloodwebs. Did BHVR change the bloodweb RNG to favor maps, keys and fog vials, and add-ons for those things after the update, as I keep getting those left and right. Why are those damn party streamers rarer to get than syringes, brand new parts and those ki

  • Or has anyone else noticed how LOUD the sound effects in the waiting lobby is? Like, you are normally able to hear the survivors' menu theme over the ambience, but this time, the ambience overwhelms even the Iron Maiden song.

  • So, I know there has been some talks about maps lately, and I decided to make a tier-list based on own observations from looking at the forums, to gameplay itself over the past few weeks, and came up with this: Maps that are well-balanced for both sides to play: RPD East Wing. Has enough for both sides to utilize. And matches can easily go both ways.

  • This still shows in the game when hovering over your total BP, and it may be a bit misleading. Edit: This is now rectified. Well done BHVR

  • Fair warning - This will be a long post! Myself, and probably many others on the forums has noticed a lot of talks about MMR and matchmaking in general lately. Why is this the case? and what could be done on BHVR's part to rectify the problems that people are having? I have a few ideas of my own, but I will write them later in this chapter. What is MMR? In an ideal world, it is a hidden rat

  • * mods can move this to another discussion forum if it does not fit here . So, I was thinking. In 2V8 mode, survivors has the ability to rebuild broken pallets, so what if this gameplay mechanic could be built upon and made into a general survivor perk for the standard mode. My idea would be the following: Carpenter <rarity> Perk Allows the user to rebuild a broken pallet or create a t

  • I'll start with these suggestions to better spread BP gains across categories, since the new changes moves too much over to the survival category, and leaves the Boldness category with scraps. Screenshot of the PTB notes below: My take on this would hopefully be a more even balance between the categories Actions that directly interacts with, or imp

  • So, back when I started playing the game, around Halloween 2018, many killers ran Hex: Ruin (to slow the game down, just a lil' bit). Looking back at that got me thinking about recent discussions on the forums, talking about hook incentives. What better perk to incentivice hooking than a new take on Hex: Ruin Hex: Ruin (Hag): Full rework: Now works off of a token system, similar to Devour Hope

  • 9/10 games I have played today has been nothing but tunnel, tunnel, tunnel, and pain res + pop and one or two lockdown perks Trying to do any of the tome challenges has been an impossible task. I'm sick of this sweating for 4K's all the time, as if the killer player's life was on the line. Seriously, relax and try to have fun instead. I just needed to vent some frustration around the BP event,

  • Disclaimer: This will be a long post. The current issues: It should come to no one's surprise that the matchmaking system we have today is fundamentally flawed, where matches can wildly vary from game to game. i.e. No consistency whatsoever. Points of interest below: The algorithm prioritizes speed over quality, therefore being inconsistent. MMR is being determined by a single factor per

  • So, after watching a video from CoconutRTS where he sort of reacts to another DBD content creator's video. It made me question whether or not the game is getting stale, like having all skill expression and fun sucked out of it. Some questions and reflections of my own below. Is SBMM to blame for the stagnation? - Like, most negative changes has happened after the transition from traditional DBD

  • So, after reading about an FOV slider being added, I think it is about high time that there should be added better graphics and resolution options. Not any that would give an unfair advantage to any player mind you. Resulution - A menu with clear resolution settings (1920x1080, 2560x1440, 3840x2160 etc.) so that the players could choose their preferred resolution. Refresh rate - There should d

  • I mean, why play like scum who camps the hooks and tunnel the person getting unhooked. It's boring for everyone, and especially these days when the event is on. Come on guys, relax and stop sweating. That also applies to the console survivor players especially.

  • Why create a killer who can easily slug and tunnel people. I met a real toxic one today, running knock out, forced hesitation and some other BS perks. I was afraid that this was one way people could abuse his power.

  • Since the healing nerfs went live, it is hard seeing anyone running Circle of Healing or med kits for that matter. What was even the point of making self-healing with medkits 35% slower than having someone else heal you. I think the efficiency nerfs were enough. It had a huge and negative impact on solo players especially, if you could not find anyone who could heal you, you'd be a massive liab

  • There is a tipped over locker on the new map that has normal interactions, where a killer can search and survivors can "hide" within. It is located in the jungle-gym next to the killer shack.
