That's what I was thinking
Clown but no Kate? If we gonna have skins we can't unlink, can we at least link the killer/survivor chapter?
-
He still got that weird animation from before though

Believe it or not there are more than a single problem in the game right now. One shot hatchets is one of them, killers with no counter play is another. Try looking at other discussions, maybe getting out of your killer main bubble would benefit you.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/175825/simple-idea-for-a-iri-head-rework
I don't agree iridescent addons should be straight up buffs to abilities, then there wouldn't be any balance left in the game. It should be something that changes the playstyle of the killer like Hags, Myers's or Ghostface's iridescent addons. If other addons couldn't increase the magazine size I believe it would be good enough.
Guess I'm a killer main.
lol
You tried.

Back to Clown's release.
Now that was a good time play. Then Legion happened....
Yikes...

The old addons was insanely overpowered, but now instead of making cool addons and not strong ones, they just make bad desined addons, looks like they are scared of doing new things
Chainsaw charge time addons were overpowered, especially when combined.
Now there is only one, and it makes Billy move at 4.4m/s if you do use it. So basically, not worth it.
At least it has a trade off unlike before.
-
We still complaining about this?
Wasn't Death Slinger or Spirit the thing to complain about rn? Or something stupid like that?
-
Gee, sure am glad I got 60 LoPro Chains!
-
Generally I use steering addons + move speed, it's probably the most fun, even after the nerf. Otherwise, usually overheat cooldown.

@ClickyClicky said:
Killer mains a few months ago: "Billy is perfectly balanced at basekit, only his add ons need a nerf"
Killer mains after Billy plays exactly the same but had his add ons nerfed: "OMG HE'S TRASH!! RIP BILLY!!! THEY KILLED HIM!111"
It shows how disingenuous the entire DBD community is. Everybody ran Billy with add ons, everybody. Especially for charge time, cooldown, or speed. Now he doesn't have those people want to trash on him. Basically they just want broken OP Billy back.
That's a pretty one sided point of view, most people said his basekit was fine, and that his specifically, addons that decreased chainsaw charge time, was the problem child here.
No one is complaining about his chainsaw charge time addons being tossed, literally no one cares about that, cause that is what we were suggesting for years.
What we do care about, is how there are multiple addons, that are completely useless is most situations and gimmicky and best. So now, there are only a handful that are actually worth while, namely the overheat addons and steering addons.
Stop taking things out of context and read properly please.

Auras are bad on Ormond, as per usual.

Well, they listened to the issues to Billy's basekit. That's more than I was expecting. And new Bubba is enjoyable enough. Everything else in the patch is pretty #########, though. Just thought I'd call out the add-ons since everyone else is focusing on the auras, bugs, and FPS drops.
Basekit wasn't the issue...
-
I think you confused everything for anything.
-
I had a hard time around when Ghost Face was released with the Auras for Gens, Hooks, and Survivors on Ormond, they were so hard to see.
A bit after they were fixed and actually visible. But now they are back to how they used to be as of P Heads update.
Anyone else having a problem?

Who?

Yeah exactly thats mostly what I was trying to say. Some of the linked ones should just be standard but if its a complete transformation like the oni skin it needs to be linked
And that's very fair.
I can see the struggles of that whole ordeal. Especially clipping.
-
@ShrekTheThird69 said:
LIke some of the other posters in this thread said yeah money is part of it. Although the other part is it allows the devs to be more creative with outfit design by not needing to worry about clipping issues with other cosmetics if it was mix and match. If the devs said all cosmetics were fixed from now on that would be bullshit but by having a couple be fixed and still have the normal mix and match ones I think it is a fine balance between the two. I mean how could they have made the oni Minotaur outfit not be a fixed one, the outfit would look really silly and out of place if it was a standard outfit that was mixed with other cosmetics.
I could give an exception, if the change is drastic enough sure they would probably need to be locked together.
But no way will that the case for all of them. Unless it's something super form altering, that straight up wouldn't work with the original body design. What's the real harm?

Well, I hope I can somehow find this list because now I'm really curious.
It's true though, Billy has gotten pretty shafted when it comes to cosmetics. I think all of the premium ones he has right now are all locked behind a paywall, there's no even balance between what you can earn and what you're forced to buy at all.
But I mean there are other characters who have it worse. Up until just today Clown had a total of seven cosmetics in the store, seven total. And four of them were locked behind a paywall. Almost 60% of his cosmetics locked unless you shovel a full 10$ BHVR's way
Today Clown got his first premium cosmetic that you could buy with 21,600 iridescent shards. So a few good things there, 1. the fact he got a new cosmetic at all and 2. you don't have to buy it with money. But a few negatives that hamper this: 1. It's 21,600 which is an immense grind which I've done several times myself, it takes hours upon hours upon hours to get to that much and 2. it's an outfit set, meaning you can't purchase the pieces individually you have to get the full thing.
I like outfit sets, but for a character that has virtually NO cosmetics to begin with unless you shell out some real cash, is dumb to me. Billy has it rough, but Clown has been experiencing a cycle of neglect for a long long time now and I'm sick of it.
True, I feel bad for Clown, I don't play him often though unfortunately. I did like the skin he got in the Battle Pass, but yes, he has also gotten the shaft. The only time I actually grinded it out actually.
Another great killer to. Unfortunate.

Honestly I love BHVR, but just don't support those skins.
When they notice the difference in sales, I think they'll realize that players just aren't into them.
I wouldn't even say that I'm not into them personally. I like the designs, they look nice, animation changes are always welcome.
But linking them together, and forcing them to be bought all together. That's just incorrect.

@Schmierbach said:
As long as survivors are given the same rule in the future, this doesn't bother me.
Exactly this.
Survivors should get locked to, no more last second swapping.

Yeah I've heard about and seen the Greek Legends collection they're releasing, but this is the first time I've heard about them releasing a list of characters that are going to be receiving legendary skins
Sounds a lot more like a DBD Leaks thing instead of an official message from the devs.
Well, like I said, I remember seeing a post about it from the developers, but it's lost in all the patch notes and what not.
Even if it was a leak, which I know there is a leaking site, so far all the skins from Greek Legends are on that. But I cannot confirm if it was all connected. I don't pay attention to leaks though. Since that is speculation. And as I said, the post was on the forum.
Either way. Why do they neglect Billy? Even at the launch of the cosmetics store he got the short end of the stick.
-
What?
Still having that hard of a time against Hill Billy?

Wdym?
The DEVs listed a bunch of Legendary skins they were going to release for various characters I am assuming over the rest of this year.
I would link it if I could find it, I am sure it's on the forums somewhere.
The Greek Legends outfits were just shown today. And 2 released. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gg5Ubv1roQc
Some of the characters that were on said list.
-
Dunno, but don't do it to much with certain perks or killers.
Because that would be overperforming apparently.
-
Imagine an auto-save taking so long for this game. What?
Then again, not surprised.
-
@ClickyClicky said:
Remember when everyone said basekit Billy was balanced and just needed his add ons nerfed?
Weeks on everyone begging for his chainsaw affecting add ons back lmao Shows you what Billy players were really like
No one is asking for the charge addons though... In fact, those are the ones everyone even Billy players, said is what needed to be nerfed. Basekit, was just fine.
No, we are complaining about how the vast majority of his addons are actually dogshit, like Nurse now, it's pretty obvious what everyone is talking about.
-
I wonder what overperforming even means to the DEVs, they can barely perform playing as killer anyways.
-
lol
-
But did they make his roar sound better when he chainsaws?
Or does it still sound as bad as in PTB? (Can't play rn)
-
Guess Hill Billy got buffed?
Your dreaming bud.
-
Mobile...
They would need the extra help
-
Uh huh...
-
The post itself sounds pretty biased.
-
Tell that to the ones, that thinking saving with a flashlight and body blocking are always 100% toxic, and not maybe because I want to try to save someone.
-
That loud ass wooshing sound? (When your not in heartbeat radius)
She starts standing still a lil' to long?
Grass randomly moving, and crows flying away for no reason?
Good god what the hell could that all mean? God forbid you use your eyes, ears, and a little bit of forward thinking!
-
The game is boring

Lol what a leap you took there. Awfully defensive. You don't even know my opinion of the changes. Nice try, tho.
Doubt you play him that much
Not saying your opinions on the matter, don't matter. But not as much as someone who actually plays him.

I mean there are reasons. Just because you disagree with them doesn't mean they don't exist.
Sorry 90% of the community and yes, even the DEVs would agree, that he is a fair and balanced killer.
Also very sorry you can't play against a balanced character bud.

@EmpireWinner said:
Ooo,i wonder if my nurse can use a chainsaw
LF didn't actually use hatchets, however it is not showing the perks they used, nor the correct power. I found it odd.
But it does remind me of Chainsaw Myers. Simpler times.

Vocal minority, reasons Billy got nerfed for no reason.

“3 stacks means 2 gens left” So?
All that matters at that point is how many survivors are left alive, which has to do with how well/poorly a killer played, or how well/poorly the survivors played, and has nothing to do with the perk Fire Up.
1% increase in M/S per stack would be broken. It’s not the first time Peanits has said this. 5 stacks would equal 1 PWYF stack, which we already know makes a significant impact on any chase, let alone 2 or 3 PWYF stacks.
Imagine a killer stacking Fire Up & PWYF?!
Even just at 3 Fire Up stacks and 1 PWYF stack that would be entirely OP on most killers. And even worse, NOED’s 4% and 5 Fire Up stacks AND any PWYF tokens.
The only way Fire Up would be fair if it included m/s buffs if it were micro percentages, like 0.3% or 0.2% per token.
Anything to shake up this crappy meta TBH, it's so stagnant.
Nerf the gen perks to hell for all I care, move speed meta let's go!

@Onyx_Blue said:
Lol it seems "viable" is the word of the year, folks.
Fire Up is a very cool perk as it is. You have to have strategies and tile outplays in mind when you put it on. Use it on Doc and never be outplayed at Shack again; you're welcome.
Fire Up is the fun version of Bamboozle with added action buffs.
Viable simply means capable of working successfully.
While technically, you can apply this to most matches, at the highest rank of play, it is not "capable of working successfully" in most cases. It is out classed by other perks that are viable or "capable of working successfully".
It works in gimmicks and in low ranks the best because that is where once tricks shine, but the higher up you get, the less of a success rate you will have. And at peak performance by both sides, it's not even worth considering, for pretty simple reasons.
I am not sure if my idea for a buff is even all that great, or maybe it is OP as so many people believe. But how will you know without testing it out?
Answer, you really can't. You can theorize all you wan't, but until there is solid evidence, you cannot conclude, simple as that.

Getting a "free" passive 15% movement speed permanently is insane. That's blood lust 3 levels of speed we're talking about here. Stack that with Play with your food and everyone's going to be moving at 140~145% speed without blood lust.
That's very, very fast, in case you are wondering. Like nearly, Spirit phasing levels of fast (without add-ons).
Honestly, I feel like Fire Up would be slightly better if the numbers were tweaked slightly and it gave some benefit right from the start of the game. Right now it's a late game perk that simply does too little for being a late game perk. If it was more of a medium game perk, it would probably be fine. Perhaps half of the benefit right from the beginning of the match and the perk provides the other half of the benefit as it currently does, with tokens gained as each generator is completed.
Or additionally, just make the max token count 3 instead of 5, and adjust the numbers based on that, so it reaches full power at 3 gens done instead of 5 when the match is basically already over.
4% increase total though. 1% for each gen, up to stackable 4%
Unless I a completely reading it wrong. The killer should be 115% - 119% and 110% to 114%, but this is how I am thinking about it. Which is good late game sure, but pretty much useless early.
If I am reading it wrong, my b in that case.

Fire Up is fine, the perk is already OP
Yes, that's clearly why everyone uses it, and totally not on gimmick builds.
-
But I like reading their poor excuses for me being the reason they lost.
Technically I am the reason they lost I guess. But it's funny to read still.
-
Stop playing, boom, no more struggle.
-
We will see, I think it will be fairly even, aside from a case of like, the Nurse for example.
I have plenty of friends who play exclusively on console, that do play DBD fairly regularly. By the sound of it, they are not concerned.
Doesn't matter what platform you are playing on, there will always be "tryhards", people who play more than you, and people who play far less than you. The only thing separating anything is control scheme, and most people seem to think it's a non-factor for the vast majority of games.
Put in the time, you'll be fine.
-
Yes, because I heard people breathing.
Shocking I know.
