Changes they are
Improvements they are not
Specifically the animation and UI changes
No one asked for it

This new UI is atrocious. Portraits and Hook Counter is great but having everything spread out it feels like I'm playing a mobile game
Exactly, it's just got such an odd feeling to it. It's not THE WORST thing ever, but it just doesn't sit right for some reason.

To buy CIV5
-
It's alright
Come and play some CIV 5 with me, been about a year.

Why was Meg the one to get the mask, anyway?

Oni 1 shot is pretty ridiculous
Lot's of hits you shouldn't be able to make just hit, because hit boxes, compared to Billy who was nerfed multiple times because of his hit boxes, but we let Oni's stay because he "has to earn the 1 shot ability". Even though if you are worth a damn, injured survivors basically give you a free Deer Stalker/Blood Hound of sorts.

The new ones need *a lot* of work
They look so robotic it's actually amazing they considered these over the ones we already have.
Yeh, they need some work

The new ones need some work.
-
Just play Spirit, less practice, less predictions, and 1 sided mind games.
-
If you do the gen ruin doesn't affect it
Magic

I wouldn't say I dropped him, but I play wayyy less Hill Billy than I used to.
I don't care about his nerf, never really used addons, insisted the basekit remain the same, but we all know these DEVs. They just gotta change something.
I actually despise the sound he makes when he charges... Every... Single... Time...
It's sooo annoying and it sounds bad!
And I feel like his music could've been better.
BUT AGAIN THE DEVS DON'T LISTEN. They just want to do something to hush people up whether or not it's actually a good final product. But hey what's new?
-
Because the DEVs don't play killer
I would actually like to see which ones play killer if there are any, and if they have made it passed rank 15 or not.
-
I will never not have fun with Hill Billy, long as I get to zoom around the map.
-
Much like Clown, he is an honest killer.
But unlike Clown he has mobility to make him useful.
-
lol
-
So are survivors who run meta perks every game
But I just beat them instead of complaining
-
How is an underserved escape balanced?
Imma let you figure that one out champ
The only time I accept a key escape is if the survivors get all the gens done and proceed to escape through the hatch instead of a door, at that point it really doesn't matter, they did a solid job and deserve the win.
But if I am playing well and the last guy brought a key in or happens to get one, and proceeds to get out for no reason at all, it's kind of stupid. Even more so if there is 2 and they get a free escape, just because they did 3 gens. In what world do that deserve an escape?
There are multiple scenarios where the key is more of a of a kick in the crotch and where I don't have a problem with it. But most of the time, it is an undeserved win.
-
You just have to take care of more objectives and think it through a bit more carefully with killer, also time constraints.
Survivors you get to deadass run in a circle and hold m1, so stressful
Granted I don't find killer very stressful either, but some people handle pressure differently

If the survivors can't easily avoid the killer's power there would be a lot of people crying on the forums
Said killers exist, but you see the complaints
-
Only used moris for dailies before the nerf, will probably be the same now that they ARE weaker, but I couldn't care less, I would rather sell them back for more BP.
I feel the same way with keys. Barely ever used them, and they are a free crutch throw in just like how moris were. I would also rather sell all my keys for BP, since I have plenty that I will never end up using.
As always though, killer gets the stick first, and survivors stick will eventually come at some indiscriminate time. At the very least, we know it comes at some point.
Basically, the mori got nerfed, get over it, the key will to, so get over it.
As a wise DEV Moderator once said "Nintendo is not telling us how to design the game." lmao
-
We are talking about the same game right?

Because that's not how most people even want the perk to be nerfed. Just decreasing the time will make it less effective as an anti tunnel perk as well.
People don't like the fact that DS can be used as more than an anti tunnel perk. Nerfing the anti tunel aspect of the perk isn't the answer then.

Dear lord, are people still on board of this "devs only care for survivors" crap? You don't even need to think that hard to understand that DS shouldn't just get a simple number nerf.
Chill man, just a jab
-
Well your missing the point..
That would be a survivor perk nerf. How dare you make it sound like a "simple" number change.

I think we have different definitions of useless...by using a mori even after a second hooking you are still saving yourself the flashlight save attempts, pallet stun save attempts, firecracker save attempts, sabo save attempts, plus the survivor won't be able to body block a hook - nor do you lose a strategic hook as no survivor would have died on the hook so no permanent hook loss. That to me sounds far from useless.
Edited to add - not forgetting DS.
When do we finally get a sell back system in place for offerings and/or addons?
I have used hardly any Moris over the years, and now I really won't need them, the extra BP for the ever extensive grind would be much more useful. Oh and selling all the bad addons for Nurse and Billy would be great to, even more BP!
-
It's not a big deal
The handful of times I bothered to burn a Mori offering instead of a BP one, I forget to use it half the time, or hooking was a better idea.
-
Hmm
-
YESSS BILLY UGLY SWEATER!!!!!
-
Something happening to Nurse again?
She's got a few useful addons, and her basekit is decent enough, people still having trouble facing her after over 4 years even with the nerf she got?
-
Doesn't affect me personally, but does that mean it is safe for me to open my closet of 100+ Moris I have been stacking up?
Or are they going to complain that I didn't drag them to a hook or they couldn't use their DS?
-
I only nod at the ones who drop a pallet and feel the need to T-Bag whether they stun me or not.
Then proceed to body them, because they aren't worth their salt
-
Funny enough, the less of any perk you use, the less reliant you become on the perk.
Instead you play more thoughtfully, carefully, and much more optimal.
Your not forced to run anything, but could you have played differently or better?
Just a thought...
-
You can't make a system that fixes the camping problem, that good players wouldn't abuse when full diving a hook to save their friend before the killer has a chance to leave.
And that is most of my "Your camping cases". I literally didn't get to leave cause someone was either chasing me, I saw them coming as I went to leave, or I ran into someone nearby.
Killers do lose points on the chaser emblem if they are to close to a hooked survivor, but if they are just in it to be an arse, then they don't care.
I believe most people don't camp on purpose, but there is no fix all that won't break the balance that we do have going.
-
Just for a little bit guys calm down.
Perfect time to take a break and play CIV 5, then we can go back to complaining about Spirit and DS all we want.
-
Should straight up get rid of the red stain for 30 seconds when you start a chase with like a 90 second CD or something. Beast Of Prey has been bad since forever.
Either make the perk useful or don't even bother, that's the problem the DEVs have. And that's why there are so many almost good perks, but are outclassed by the actually good perks.
-
PH gets one sooo...
-
Blame the devs
-
Good for you...?
-
I play like, 5 times a month maybe?
Can't find a good reason to play a lot.
-
I play him plenty, but I hate the roaring it sounds so bad, and he does it every time you finish revving up the chainsaw!
And his animations are still weird from before the Billy nerf.
His addons need to be changed as well, handful of them are complete garbage no takes. And honestly, they should get rid of Tuned Carburettor, it's a complete joke.
LoPro Chains are probably the more fun addon that they added, but honestly the Ultra Rares are also a complete joke, but at least somewhat useful compared to Tuned Carburettor.
It's funny though, survivors still get mad when I chainsaw them in the back. Oh well, just dodge it :P
-
The tournament showed gens done super quickly and many of the killers tunneling to win (Because of how the tournament rules worked)
I didn't watch it live and found it because I like to watch Otz, but honestly the tournament was laughable and it wasn't very entertaining gameplay wise, plus the horrible spectator camera didn't help.
-
Depends on the killer your playing really.
Some do it better than others and some excel at getting one person over hitting a bunch.
-
I think the entire time I have ever played DBD, I have only ran into one hacker.
-
I can tell you, something is off.
It's more than one thing though, and it isn't recent either. They messed with stuff a while back for sure.
They can keep quiet or deny it for all I care, but it's pretty obvious.
-
My favorite is when the match has been an absolute slog of a match because SWF, I finally think it's over, I played really well, the survivors did survivor things, and yet, they still get lucky enough, for 2 of them to jump off the hook. Needless to say, one of them gets away, because... Game.
I swear, the better I do, the more likely they are to get a jump off the hook as well, 1 person jumping off has happened so many times in my matches, I would say a proper 5/10 matches honestly has someone jumping off. I will say, there are some matches where there are a few lucky offerings, and I have witnessed some with slippery meat action (But they are never the ones to jump off funny enough), but that's still an uncanny amount as far as I am concerned.
-
Tunneling, Looping... About the same.
-
He's cool, but I'll probably stick to Death Slinger, Billy and Nurse
Waiting for that next killer that will really blow me away. Whenever we will get that. Maybe I'll stay hooked to the game more than a week again.
-
I want to see some nice trees.
I keep getting stuck in swamp.
Send halp.
-
From a game play perspective yeah they should.
-
Just get rid of it, why didn't I think of that?
-
I agree with OP for point #1 and #3, I have never understood the cap, it is pretty pointless, and a trade in for addons or offerings for BP that don't get used/can't be used because they are exclusive to an event would be nice.
I don't think perk tiers are going anywhere though, and I can't say I really care if they stay the way they are or not. I won't deny that it does create quite a bit of the grind though, especially if you are actively buying killers and survivors to get perks, it can take while, especially for new players.
I know a lot of people dislike the BP cap.
