Don't assume something is going to be bad until you try it.
Don't like it after you try it? You have the right to complain, but wait until you try it.
You don't have to try out the changes, when the overheating is such a clear limiting factor to Billy's gen pressure, even from the video sample it's clear. There are things that are just obvious, and it is quite obvious that it will affect him.
-
Trust me, it is a nerf.
Not really warranted either. The addons rework I can see, that's fine. But the chainsaw does not need to overheat.
The fact that it can overheat and then has to wait on a cooldown, limits his time roaming the map quickly. It is so obviously a nerf, but everyone says "rework rework" a nerf is a nerf.
Those are the facts.
-
The design idea they have taken with Spirit and Nurse and now Hill Billy and Leather Face is just so stupid.
With the numbers and cool down thing. Unnecessary garbage.

I won't stop playing Hill Billy
However, with this nerf, and yes it is a nerf.
I will be playing the game itself far less than I already do.

Don't worry it'll be just like Nurse.
Because so many people enjoyed changes that included only limitations and nothing else. It made her the most played and bug free killer! You'll see it's great for Billy!
/s
See I can understand the Nurse needing a tone down. Don't get me wrong.
However, Billy was nowhere near Nurse's level ever. I want to hear their real reason for wanting to "rework" him.

Thank you

Guess I'm not gonna be playing DBD for much longer it sounds like. It was scarce enough for me to play I'll be honest. But time for the nail.
Hey guys BHVR here, let's nerf balanced killers.
I swear dude, he gets nerfed i'm good as gone.
-
I will be very critical of any Hill Billy changes.
-
Before I talk.
Would I be able to get a source? Was there a post or video? Are they really planning on changing Hill Billy?
The Addons could use a change.
Being able to stack Primer Bulb and Carburettor Tuning Guide is pretty crazy. Or Thompson's Mix with the Bulb or Guide is also very strong. Especially in maps with fewer pallets/harder to find, or maybe someone used a lot of them. That is when stacking these addons can shred about any team, as the reaction time has to be known, and the Billy can trick you still with the revving time. Needless to say, it is quite strong in certain scenarios, and it makes short work of pallets in general.
He does not need such stacking to be strong. His base-kit is good enough. I say give him some sort of Ultra Rare or 2, since every killer gets that. Make Thompson's Mix not have the "Chainsaw Charge Time" effect, and remove Primer Bulb. Then the only one with "Chainsaw Charge Time" reduction is Tuning Guide. One effect like this is plenty. Of course, it would slightly nerf him, at least in the Addon department. Billy is quite balanced without addons as I said before though, and I do think even with addons he is still very balanced. But he can still get looped into oblivion by any competent survivor.
I do not think Billy should be one of their main focus's of concern, but what do I know.
Those are just my suggestions. Regardless, I will be highly critical of any and all changes they might make to my personal favorite and go to killer of the past 4 years. I can guarantee you that.
-
I don't see a big problem with it.
It can be pretty abusable by good survivors and bombarding hooks in SWF. But you don't have to worry about that to often.
It mostly effects hardcore campers, and if you want to try to counter them, then go for the perk.
-
Then don't complain about NOed and just do the totems.
-
Billy at 120% would be busted.
Huntress, Spirit, and Death Slinger moving at 115% would also be very broken.
Play with your food basically allows you to do this, of course however you have to earn the tokens and can lose them. Which balances it out. Permanent speed boost would be busted.
-
4 years of dealing with basically the same thing over and over, often ends with people not wanting to play.
There is a reason people deem survivors to be more fun and what not. Solo queue survivor is terrible. SWF is unbalanced. And playing killer is a coin toss. Killer beats solos basically every time, SWF beats killer almost always. Which makes less people want to solo queue, it becomes as stressful as playing killer. So they hope to SWF, and I can't blame them. It's more fun with friends, you have people you can trust and communicate with, instead of random people that are usually twice baked potatoes. But this whole situation is what causes so many of the balancing issues. And nothing can be buffed or nerfed without severe backlash of some sort.
It is an unfortunate truth, that killer can be very stressful and unfun to play, more often than survivor. It has gotten better over the years, don't get me wrong. I would be lying if I said otherwise. But that doesn't mean killer isn't still stressful and sometimes infuriating to play.
The big draw for playing killer, at least for me. Is that it is much for unique than survivor. All the survivors are the same, the only thing is the perks and what they look like. Each killer is very different, and not just a skin. But with the imbalance, it has pretty much made me stop playing the game altogether.
I feel SWF is an unfair advantage so I don't commonly play SWF. Solo is stomped to easily, which made me not want to play solo queue. So I go to killer, which has felt more like a chore than an enjoyable experience the last year or so.
So I left instead of putting myself through this unnecessary annoyance.
I will always have hope for the game though.
Maybe next patch will make me want to come back. 10th times the charm?
-
I don't even bother trying to go for it.
The free track isn't worth while at all. And it's more like a chore than just being part of the game. And to even warrant buying it, I would have to finish it.
It sucks.
-
Yes, they are...
But $$$
If the Battle Pass was evidence enough. Sort of saw this coming.
Lot's of games have this sort of shtick going on.
-
Yeah.
Let me stop playing the game and let the sparkly survivors escape for free.

I think the one silently taking it is the one sucking it, though. It's a forum. I can talk about stuff I consider to be an issue in this game.
Trust me, after 4 years you get used to it. Plus, it's not nearly as bad as it used to be. Don't know if you were around at the time, but the killer used to be able to literally block the action for unhooking. Good times.
But no, please add more complaints about, surely it will change everything in another 4 years.
-
I'm tired of them to.
Don't see me making a forum post every time it happens tho...
Suck it bud.

Okay-ish

First we had people spamming IT
Now we got Fnaf
Sick
-
"So... now that the killes have proven they are NOT going to play fair during this event"
Basically, let the survivors live if they get the crown.
How about play the game and escape?
-
6 hours?
There is no chance you haven't left many matches prior. Otherwise it should only be like 5 minutes.
Highly improbable that it's a bug.

Are you a killer main? Because thats a ######### lie i just got face camped lbs
I play both quite often actually.
And no, face camping does not exist, let me explain.
Back when the game first launched, the killer could literally stand in front of a hooked survivor, and block the prompt to rescue. Now that the hook rotates, face camping does not work. At least not it's original definition, therefore, anything you come up with for it now, is probably just camping. Also, the trapper used to be able to put traps right under people on the hook, making rescue also impossible.
And now that people get a few invincibility frames right off of hook, plus hook rotating, face camping doesn't exist. Trust me, if you call this "face camping" you would hate actual face camping even more.
-
But what does the tier list for someone that plays the game for a living look like. Possibly 4,000+ hours.
VS
Someone who has put in hours (like 1,000-2,000 maybe a bit higher) but didn't make it a career, which is what I think most of us fall under.
VS
Someone who plays it on the occasion, has put some decent hours in, but doesn't commit to the game a whole lot.
Just saying, the extreme top 1% players wouldn't be better with Leatherface or Ghost face, that most of use would be with Huntress. or Billy. I feel the tier lists would very quite a bit. At least for certain killers.
-
Camping is fine to do in scenarios. But it can ruin peoples fun as it were, so it is considered by many to be toxic, no matter the situation, even though that is just factually false.
However
Toxicity + what is considered toxic by many, makes things more toxic.
Tread those waters carefully.

I still think she is the best killer by far.
Her addons add basically nothing, but she didn't need them before.
After playing her and getting used to her rework. I can say with confidence, that she isn't as overwhelming as she used to be. However, being able to teleport through objects is just so strong. There are a few addons that can make her a little bit closer to how her old self was, but not quite.
Having to gain charges for your blink is what really did it to her. Very good survivors can get away a bit easier now with the extended wait time for double blinks. Granted these players are few and far between.
She is still an extremely strong killer, and personally I think she is still the best, even after her nerf.
-
If they are camping, punish them by not feeding all 3 of yourselves to the killer. Killer won't pip up and learn that maybe it's not such a good idea. The only way people think camping actually works, is when you willingly reward the killer. Punish instead.
If they are new players I can understand why they camp and or tunnel. Why wouldn't you want to kill the guy you downed? It's pretty simple really. As they get better, they won't need to tunnel or camp as much as when they start off. Learning experience and all.
Past a certain point, most killers won't camp, simply because there are 3 others they want to also catch and sacrifice. Because of this reason alone they won't camp. The only time they would really "camp" is when they know the other survivors are near by, which means not working on generators. So why would he leave? Because he's making you upset? That's not how this works.
Tunneling is quite subjective. All I will say is this. If your team isn't willing to take a chase so you don't get 3rd hooked and die even though they have all only been hooked one time. Sorry but your gone bud. Just strategy, 3v1 is easier than 4v1, plain and simple. It's part of the game, it happens.
That being said, going after one guy all game and completely ignoring others on purpose to kill the one person, is a jerk move. That or as I said before, they are probably a newer player, in which they will learn eventually, I am sure it's not their intention to ruin the game for people. But there are some, I won't deny that.
This is why it is an acceptable thing. I am not sure what rank or how long you have been playing the game. But if even small instances of "camping" or "tunneling" were punished, this game would be nigh impossible for the killer. It just has to happen in some scenarios.
Also, face camping does not exist anymore. Not since the changes to the hook.
-
I think I play the game 2-4 times a day tops.
There are those weeks though where I play 2 times total, or not at all.
The game isn't rewarding, there is no incentive to play. That goes for the Battle Pass to.
Survivor is a stale and boring, looping, button mashing, M1 holding disaster. And Killer is an annoying, frustrating, and sometimes infuriating gameplay experience, that makes me want to take a break from the game after 2 or so matches.
I launch the game sometimes going in with a positive attitude. But then I sit there, look at my killers and survivors, check out my perks. Thinking of what I want to do. And then for whatever reason, even though I am not in a bad mood, I exit the game and don't boot it up for a day or 2. And so the cycle continues.
I cannot, get myself to play this game anymore.
-
Tier 16
I don't play the game much these days. Maybe 2-4 matches a day at most. At least 1 match for each side for bonus Devotion on first match.
I honestly don't feel any incentive at all to play the game anymore, at least not much. Battle Passes just don't do it for me. They feel empty and the grind isn't worth it, at least not for me and certainly not from a game play perspective. Have to max it to warrant buying it.
I did take took almost a half year break from the game, and when I came back, it felt like nothing at all changed. A lot has changed since release. But anymore it's just the same thing over and over. No real new perks to shift anything, maybe 1 every so often, but more often than not, all 6 new perks from a survivor and killer are average at best, but not viable enough.
Every chapter, we get a mid grade killer that a ton of people deem OP before learning to play against it. Others try to hype it up more than it's actually worth calling it a "game changer", then most of them stop playing it after a month or maxing out it's prestige, or whatever. If the DEVs nerf it because no one wants to learn how to face it, then they get reprimanded. And if they do nothing they get berated anyways.
But hey, maybe I just need to play some more CIV 5.
Might be a hidden motivational tool in there somewhere?
-
Death Slinger 3rd to last?
Hmm....
-
Do we still get the items 2 months down the road even though I haven't logged in for the past 3 weeks?
-
If you don't like it, don't buy it.
Ranting won't do anything.
Money will speak 100x louder than words.

I get you started in 2018 and I'm not going to be mean but... What about the Switch players? Can we get at least some love?? We never got the events because the game came out in 2019, Switch is too forgotten but it still exists! That's also a reason why I hate people, some of them can be entitled and it pisses me off, Switch community wanted it, we now have it and it's still nice fron them!^^
Sounding like you deserve just for owning the game also sounds pretty entitled though.
The whole point of event exclusives is you had to be there. Otherwise there is literally no point to hosting the event, especially if they are just going to give it out. And if that's the case with future events, why even bother playing the event to get the cosmetics, if I will just receive them for not even playing the game later?

Wow. Super disappointed. Well I guess Legacy is next right? Since earning it doesnt matter...
Yeh you thought. They'll do it to everything else.
Specifically not Legacy though. Which, if we are being honest. Don't make sense, it would fall under the same premise.
People will defend their move till you bring up Legacy, it's ever so special I guess.
-
In the end, it doesn't matter a hell of a lot. Most of the event skins aren't nearly as good as what is in The Rift or the store for that matter. But it does leave a sour taste in the mouth of older players. To grind something and then just have them handed out at a later date doesn't feel good at all.
It sort of makes me sad. And why would I want to participate in later events if they are just going to be given out. What is the point? Why grind? Why even have an event?
Just toss the skins into the store or something. Or give them out form the get go, and don't make a grind for it.
It may seem like a lesser issue to be upset about, but it does matter. It sort of affected how much effort I am willing to put into the game, and playing it as a whole.
-
I would love one for Hill Billy.
Just not sure what he could get.

Slap it on Small Game. It's just the buff that perk needs.
That is actually a really good idea.
Thrill of the Hunt for survivors basically. And it's a good perk for newer players to learn totem spots. This will make it more valuable, to more than just newer players.
-
Bummer.
What are exclusives anyways? Why bother having events?
I wouldn't say it's a super big deal. But my issue is, the people who had to grind to earn it.
And then new players get it as a free handout because... Why exactly?
-
Probably Hill Billy. Been playing him since June 22, 2016. Ahh first kills. Good times.
I like to think i'm at least decent anyways. :/
-
The only problem I have with the Doctor, is when I am mid vault and the shock sends me backwards instead of letting me vault. Because... Reasons...
That's the only instance I have a real issue with. It's complete bs.
Shock me before and I can't vault or drop pallets? Fine, that's the power, that's how it works. But the thing listed above is a load of crap. That I will say.
-
Sometimes it's better to finish off the one guy with 1 hook left instead of hooking everyone else 2 more times to make it more
"fun" and "fair", and then hooking him.
-
Legacy handouts when?
lol jk, the only thing they won't do that with.
-
lol

Killer got easier, survivor got harder. What's new?

How about, we practice some more first.
Instead of decreasing the "difficulty" for the bad players?

So...
Your not good at facing the new killer yet?
Shocker.
Play some more.
