That's extremely lazy of them. The community has spoken and they need to listen. Is it really too much to ask for them to refine their own model? This is an insult to the person who spent all this time on creating the skin. That's like robbing them of their reward.
...that's exactly what they're doing. The community disliked the original design, so they held it back to make it closer to the artist's original vision. It's still coming.

I agree I've had it reset games before. When it works it's a free deliverance, no perk slot required.
There's a 96% chance they're actively helping you get your objective done quicker, why are you complaining.

Cool so I'm gonna go slug a bunch of survivors until death we'll see what everyone thinks to the rules then yea
Go for it. It's just as reportable as hooking Survivors and repairing Generators.
i.e not at all.
-
That seems like it would take way too much effort and development time dedicated to custom games when the majority of people aren't going to use that feature.
I think most people would rather they make content and fix the main game.
You can already use every single perk, item and add-ons on top of selecting the map and setting custom restrictions to the lobby's loadouts for a competitive match.
-
I have already seen that however it's so unclear it says slugging is non reportable except this wasn't slugging this was mass slugging. Any other game has clear rules that if you do these things you're gone but not dead by daylight the rules are too flexible they need to update their rules otherwise too many toxic people will get away with this kind of thing.
It is clear. You got your answer. Slugging is not bannable. Otherwise you'd have to make hooking Survivors bannable, and that is ridiculous.
Slugging is doing the Killer's objective. Their goal is to kill (hence the name) the Survivors by any means necessary, whether that is by Sacrificing them, leaving them to bleed out on the floor or executing them with a Mori.
And to conclude this rant I say devs if by some miracle you read this fix your damn game before another company launches one of the same kind because there's will most likely be better and your game will die.
I don't think they need to worry, considering I can think of at least four other games of the same genre that have released and have died since DBD released.
-
Who said it was ever meant to mean anything? They do meme posts like that frequently.
For example:
-
With the amount of nonsensical theory crafting going on recently, I'm going to come out of this rich!
-
Well yes, that's the idea of the perk. It's an anti-momentum and anti-tunnel perk, not a free minute of invulnerability.
People who used it because they get frequently tunnelled (genuinely tunnelled) aren't going to be affected by the nerf at all, because they're not going to be in a situation to heal/repair generators anyway.

This one is actually thinking about how they are nerfing it rather than asking for the nerf to come sooner.
Maybe try not to be condescending next time buddy :)
Except that OP already said their exact thoughts in the other post. There's nothing new about this 'thread', it's just spam at this point.
:)

Two posts about the same topic in one day. A topic they've already acknowledged and are working, no less.
Nice.

It's a video game. If you're genuinely feeling like it is taking a toll on your mental health, then stop playing it. It's not a job, you don't have to keep playing it if you don't want to.

I'm sorry, but you have no idea why DS was even nerfed in the first place if you think this is a ''non-issue''.
That's a pretty big assumption my guy.
DS was nerfed in the way it has been because it allows Survivors to fully heal another Survivor to full (16 seconds), run to a generator, fix it for a good thirty seconds and still have it active for when the Killer comes back. The Killer can be punished for picking them up at 59 seconds despite not having tunnelled them at all, which isn't good design. That's the issue with the Perk.
The ones you highlighted are avoided by the Killer just smacking them down. If the Survivor hops on a generator in your face right after getting off a hook, then it is 100% your fault for not downing them and instead letting them get that full minute of generator progress.
DS does not prevent you from going down. Ignoring them altogether because they can stab you when you pick them up is ridiculous.
-
Sitting on generators right in front of the killer
Then hit them and don't pick them up? I don't see the problem there. They're only working on it because you're ignoring them.
unhooking right in front of me and shoving it in my face that they're untouchable despite there being absolutely no presence of tunnelling.
Again, just down them. You don't lose anything by letting them bleed for the duration.
I'm fully on board with the DS nerf, don't get me wrong, but it looks like you're complaining about nonissues, and not actually the ones DS provides.
-
They managed to repair **at least** four of five generators, and were able to avoid you long enough for all three of them to find and make it to the hatch.
They've already said they're going to nerf Keys at some point in the near future, so what's the point in still complaining and asking for nerfs?

Me: explains TWICE that a wiggle change should NOT be a free escape
DBD Forums: avoids reading that entirely and only views it as a "toxic survivor buff"
Aight guys... you win. Enjoy your circle jerk.
You can say it's a circle jerk as much as you want, but that doesn't make it true. There's nothing to discuss about the mechanic. It works 100% as intended. It is by no means meant to be a free escape even 10% of the time, and it doesn't need to be looked at.
and I say this as a complete Survivor main, so I'm not speaking out of bias. It's simply something that doesn't need to be changed.
-
No thank you. We've already got two Chapters with almost identical themes. I'd rather they branch out a bit more, and look into some other cultures they could draw inspiration from.

Figures... I can't even put two disclaimers without people neglecting them. That's what I get for posting here.
No one's missing your point, it's just that you don't have a good one to begin with.
Like Seraphor said, the mechanic is in place to prevent the Killer from taking you to the basement every single hook. it's not there to give you an escape every time, or even one in ten times.
The perks you mentioned like Breakout and Boil Over are meant to assist in escaping, and is in no way meant to be a guarantee of doing so.
-
Because the Chapter theme typically suits the Killer far more than the Survivor.
Do you think accordion carnival music would suit Kate, or Yui is into a traditional Samurai motif?
Jeff would fit with the Legion's I suppose, being a metalhead, but that's really it.
-
Nope. it's not designed to give you a free escape, it's to stop the Killer from taking you to the basement every single down.

doesn't matter who it is as long it's a content creator.
As long as there are negative things said about a content creator, even if a name if not provided.
OP said it himself it's a content creator, so I'm inclined to believe him it's a content creator.
Edit: It's a shame you weren't yesterday to witness something similar.
The point is, no one is being named in the original post, so there's no (valid) reason it should be taken down for naming and shaming.
Sure, you could probably find out who the censored name is with a little bit of detective work, but you can do that for basically anything on the internet.

I did specify male character, but the Deathslinger got one for the Lunar New Year.

Well there's only three onesies in the game, and one of them is indeed on a male character.
One third isn't a bad, especially one the sample size is only three to begin with.

Not a great idea.
The Killer would always bring offerings that will take them to the exact map that favours them. You can already bring an offering that negates the map offerings the Survivor's bring. No need to remove their input altogether.
-
Is it something to do with Konami or something?
Most likely. Konami has a reputation for being notoriously picky on how their licenses are used.
Could that change later?
Most likely not.

@Superyoshiegg Well, the nurse wears a nurse outfit IN GAME. the doctor uses shock therapy which is a real thing, Clown laughs, and dresses like a clown IN GAME, and legion(well he doesn't count, I cant believe you even mentioned him) Trickster doesn't even dress like a trickster.
You must've missed this part.
anything to do with their respective powers?
Everything you just mentioned was about their visual design, bar the Doctor using electroshock therapy (but you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who thinks of that when you say the word 'doctor').
The Trickster got his name because he does knife tricks. That's not hard to understand.
He even does them in his Mori animation, so it's integrated into gameplay as well. More so then the Nurse and Clown, who don't do anything indicative of those professions in gameplay.

It's not Behavior's fault you refuse to engage the Bubba.
The Leatherface is actively not playing the game. How is that the Survivor's fault?
What's next, you're going to blame the Survivors for "not engaging" with an AFK Killer?
-
So were taking names from the killers lore now.
In what way does the 'Nurse', 'Doctor', 'Clown', & 'Legion' have anything to do with their respective powers? Nothing, but their names make sense because they all fit their lore.
This is not a new thing.

No real different to people who play in the same room on two different systems, really.

Freddy's lullaby is not affected by Perks and Add-Ons that utilise the terror radius, Monitor & Abuse included.
Some other examples include Borrowed Time and Stake Out on the Survivor's Side, and Coulrophobia and Distressing on the Killer's side.

@Superyoshiegg all that would be avoided.. IF YOU GET BETTER..
Not all spirit users are good, so unless you are below mediocre you still have good chance to have fun..
But then again.. you are a quitter run..
Keep running it's not fun to play weak survivors anyway..
Alright buddy, whatever you say.
Seeing as you keep ignoring my points, evidently there's no point continuing this discussion.

@Superyoshiegg so good enough that you run from games..
That's just weak..
I already explained that I refuse to participate in matches against Spirits running Stridor.
Not only is that pretty uncommon (so it's not like I'm suiciding every second match), but if you had actually read my post before deciding you would hit me with an innane 'gotcha' comment, you would have noticed that I don't like playing against bad Spirits just as much as good Spirits. It's not a case of "not good enough to beat her", but more of a "I don't enjoy playing this kind of match, I don't play video games to have a bad time so why should I keep playing".
I'll gladly cop a five minute disconnect penalty. Watching it tick down is more interactive and enjoyable than playing against a Stridor Spirit, after all.
-
I think I'll pass on your 'solution' thanks. I feel I'm already suitably good enough at both roles for my taste.

I dunno, it's always been an issue.
As for an LGBTq character, I'd like to see a source, and I wouldn't be too expectant. The next chapter is probably going to be a licensed character, and so we'll have a long time to wait.

Don´t get me wrong. I was just curious. As i doubt that the DS nerf will reduce the usage of Unbreakable DS.
I just wondered, because the devs said, that they base their nerfs on overusage of certain perks.
The DS/Unbreakable combo is strong because it forces the Killer to make one of three choices, none of which are ideal.
A) Pick up the Survivor to prevent them from recovering with Unbreakable, but having to take the stun.
B) Leave the Survivor on the ground to avoid DS, but letting them revive themselves when you walk away to hunt other targets.
C) Slug the Survivor and stick around so they can't revive themselves, but this means you're not pressuring the other Survivors away from gens.
The nerf Decisive Strike is copping is going to greatly reduce the effectiveness of this combo, because now the Survivor can't work on generators or heal after reviving themselves, lest they want to use DS if you come back (should you choose option B).
Unbreakable doesn't need a change now that Decisive Strike is getting one. UB on its own is a situational perk, and isn't going to be as powerful when combined with DS.
-
The only time I will do this is against a Spirit running Stridor. I simply don't find her fun or balanced, so I refuse to participate in that match.
There's no interactivity in that match. As soon as you get injured, the chase is over. Might as well give you a Deep Wound timer that doesn't pause while running, because there's no way to avoid even a mediocre Spirit player who has good hearing.
I'd rather face a 5000 hour Nurse main who hasn't left their computer chair in three weeks. At least those players have to have a modicum of skill and game knowledge to play her well.
Even in a match where the Spirit player is bad and all the Survivors escape, that match still wasn't fun anyway. I don't get anything out of it except minimal Bloodpoints and most likely a safety pip because the Killer played poorly enough that you'll get barely any Benevolent and Evader points.

You see i think 2k and 2 escape is a lost for the killer. If at least 1 survivor escape through the exit gate for me its a win for the survivor
Two kills and two escapes is defined by the developers as a win for the Killer and escapees, but a loss for the sacrificed.
Anything more than two kills is considered above average play.
