Tell me why would a non-billy main give a ######### about a billy nerf, is it fun to watch your team go down in seconds and then have no chance since this is a 4v1 game?
Same with people who called Nurse "fun" just because she took a load of skill while falling to her without a chance unless SWF'd up. If nobody told you back then that nurse was "fun" and required a ton of skill then you'd certainly not have fun playing against a character that warps through every defense that you have, same with billy but ofc in a much more believable context.
The nerfs given to billy are showing people the direction that the devs may intend on taking when making new killers and addons, or when reworking old ones. Non billy mains have just as much of a right to be vocal about the nerfs as billy mains. If we look at billys addons, nearly all of them are either usless or come with tremendous drawbacks. This is nearly the exact same as the nurse nerfs. The both had cooldowns slapped onto their kits and were given a lot of useless addons. It boils down to the idea that, "My main isn't being nerfed, but what will happen if/when they are nerfed/reworked."
Nurses power is fundementally broken. It's not something that you can compare to other killers powers as it removed a core feature if used properly, that being looping. Billy can't be compared to nurse as their are places where he can't use his saw. Billy also doesn't have to rely on his power for chases while nurse does.

No it's not, if he has no clue about billy then he's literally bandwagoning most likely for views as many streamers and youtubers will milk the ######### out of this.
Ah yes I see.
If your a billy main who disagrees with the nerfs, then you're just whinning about you're main getting nerfed.
If you don't main billy, then your're just hopping on the bandwagon.
-
1. Adding cooldowns to killer abilities is not a good solution to balance them. Look at what happened to nurse. She got a cooldown to her power and now most people have been detered from playing her.
2. Some killers need flat out reworks. For example, legion could very easily be made into a busted killer with just a few number changes. He can also be made useless with a few number changes.
3. Some of these suggested buffs may not seem like a lot, but they could make a huge difference. If Myres could move faster in T3 then he would likely need to be nerfed somewhere else, unless the speed increase was so small that it would be almost unnoticable.
-
Out of all of the charecters in fnaf, I feel that springtrap would be the best fit for dbd.
Most people probably don't want him to be added as most people would prefer to stay aeay from the fnaf community. The people that are still a part of that community are generally regarded as very cringy.

I remember seeing the other post about this bug, and it still baffles me. How could something so gamebreaking even become a bug.

Prove that. Prove how many hours you have in the game. Im betting youre sitting around 20
I bet that they've got no time put into the game, or they have a lot of time and this is a bait post from an alt account.

No.

I don't know what you mean by jumping out in time, but the killer can get a grab off on you while you're in the animation of jumping out of a locker.

Why not both along with ruin. Been my new go to on most everything.
If ruin is up you can't use pop though. Pop wouldn't be effective until ruin goes down.

I don't understand why you directed this post specifically at killers when using a vpn for a ping advantage can be applied to both sides.
-
Why are you hating on pinwheels.
-
Old ruin would provide a very large slowdown in low ranked games. When put up against survivors that could hit great skillchecks though, it became relatively useless.
New ruin does practicaly nothing against gen speeds as only high mobility killers are truly able to create pressure and capitalize on its effect. In most games though, it's gone before it can really be utilized.
In my opinion, new ruin is better than the old one as it can be really strong if used properly in certain builds.

The bleedout timer is just so ridiculous. Being forced to sit there and wait because some toxic troll wants to get a buzz by leaving players to bleed out.
and that’s the problem really. Thats why killer mains kick up a fuss whenever the idea of shortening it is brought up. They can’t be toxic then. So the devs wont change it because the game is all about killer fun
If the timer was lowered to 2 minutes, the you would see a possible slugging meta. It would make it much easier to slig people to death. These "toxic" killers you speak of would probably slug even harder than they already did.

I mean they were using comms that completely breaks the balance and nurse still win. Im wrong? How many games were against nurse at all?
If nurse winning is an outlier in the data, then you really can't draw any conclusions from it.
-
While it can ne really anoying for survivors, I don't believe that being afk is bannable.
-
Indeed
-
I don't see them comming back anytime soon due to the amount of complaints when they were implemented. P2P will probably work better than any dedicated servers that we could get in the near future anyway.
-
Their's no point in asking for it back as we all know that old ruin is gone and that it will likely never come back. You're just going to have to find better ways to play if you want to preform well.

US West (N. California)
South America (São Paulo)

So I have no idea about what is this sidney server you talk about.
Also... isn't xbox still p2p?
He's saying that there aren't any servers in Austrailia.
Also, xbox recently got deticated servers.

I would assume that any fall that causes you to stagger would be considered a great height.

Because if you gave him a cooldown the people that use him might actually have to git gud in order to win. We can’t be having that can we? They want to be the power role after all.
Because people who play billy well aren't already good at him.

If he smacks you with FF it should restart your game.

DS - not if used correctly. Actually used against campers/tunnellers properly.
Adrenaline - Small temporary boost. Rewards staying alive and punishes greedy killers closing hatch.
Unbreakable - Killer left you. Their loss.
Borrowed Time - CAN be abused, but still useful anti-camper perk. Abusable too since it relies on terror radius.
Spine Chill - Stealth killers, genius. Try spotting a cloaked Wraith at 20m with terrain. No audio notification.
Sprint Burst - Walk everywhere for a 3 second boost that you can still get hit in.
Dead Hard - Smaller than you think and works even less.
Balanced Landing - 3 second boost, and killers have zero effect from heights. Find a high point in half the maps.
Self-Care - Play solo in anything below red. Nobody heals you. It's an insurance policy.
Boil Over - Can be used to a killer's advantage and you're going to get one escape in a hundred games instead of a thousand.
Iron Will - Maybe I'm a little sick of hearing Jane's thirsty moans.
Breakdown - 2 uses. Nobody runs it. You'll get your hook back anyway.
Deliverance - One use only . With conditions. Leaves you broken after.
Hope - Used for an Archives challenge. Terrible perk.
Inner Strength - Leaves you vulnerable with maximum 5 uses.
Flip-Flop - Terrible perk. Relies on bad killer play.
Now. NoED
NoED free kills - You can't win a chase normally, so here's a free hidden Exposed effect and a movement speed buff for free.
Rewards failure - No requirements on your end as killer. Just be bad and get to endgame.
Cleansing totems - Can't always find them! Can't exactly use Small Game when I'm limited with Archives for perk slots either.
Noed isn't really free though as you have to make sure that a dull totem lasts untill the endgame. If the killer can't do that, then they wasted the perk slot.

This post is about a negative effect of a addon.
My post was about a killer perk that could also have a negative effect.
Ruin has been ruined and will never be the same again *unless Devs make it decent.
You sound like a survivor main telling me what I can and can't do?
Still, your comment was completely irrelevant to the op. You could go post it on a separate post that is about ruin. Or, you could make your own post to express your idea.
Also, what relevance would it have if they were in fact a survivor main. Do you just associate all survivors with the idea that they are evil and controlling?
-
Also, there already weren't very many red ranked killers due to how busted the emblem system is. Whenever skill based matchmaking is implemented though, rank will be irrelevant.
-
It's been so long since I've seen a red ranked killer that I believe that most killers are going to drop out of red ranks.

Imagine removing the rank system from your game 😂
With matchmaking as it currently is, I doubt the game would change much.
-
I doubt that you usually get 100,000 bp every game. It's literally impossible unless a survivor has party streamers.
How does changing the direction your moving while swinging a chainsaw defy the laws of physics.
You would blow my mind if you genuinely think this way.
Overall, 6/10.
-
You don't make a claim and ask people to provide evidence to disprove you. When you make a claim you're supposed to provide evidence that supports the claim that you have made. You have provided no evidence, therefore your point is invalid.

I used to play like 5+ games every day, but then I started to lose the motivation to come back and keep playing. As it is right now I might play a game or 2 every week.

Some of the people in the community are creating their own chase music for some killers. Is their any chance that you might use some of these in the game.

And to get 2k you need 6 hooks, that's one hook per minute, plus the odds being in your favor; coming across the same survivors you've already hooked.
A 2k with only six hooks would basically just be a killer tunneling 2 people for the whole game.

I played 4 hours of survivor last night. Had about 10 games total and none of the killers were red rank.
Over the past week or two I’ve gone up against maybe 5 or 6 red rank killers. They have already begun leaving if you ask me. Too little too late.
I stopped playing the game for awhile and came back to being around rank 12. I've gotten up to rank 9 so far and have constantly been put up against red and high purple ranks. I don't know if it's a matchmaking issue or a player base issue though.
-
I thought you were serious until you said that thanataphobia was game breaking. Now I really hope that this post is satire.

Yes, the ranking system would need to change, but not only that, maps also need to change. This just isn't the right time to nerf ruin.
And I think the idea is that you would lose access to certain perks, maybe items and add ons if you derank. Maybe even limit the amount of perks you can use; something similar to killing floor.
In my opinion, balanced anything around rank is just a bad idea in general. It would be really annoying for a rank reset to screw you over because you lose a perk slot or access to a perk.

I expect killers are gonna become more and more rare at red rank unless you play DBD for a living or something. But they are becoming rarer at higher ranks as well
I feel like the ruin nerf is going to drop a lot of killers out of red ranks and boost a lot of survivors into red ranks. If that does happen, then matchmaking will be screwed more than it already is.
-
How the turns have tabled.
-
Games like this make me believe that red rank killers just don't exist anymore.
-
@Xerge said:
No, it wasn't.
@ppo8820 came up with a simple idea that would've been much better; instead of nerfing ruin they could've just made the perk available for purple/red ranks killers. Other perks could recieve the same treatment for both sides and actually make ranking up more rewarding.
I honestly don't think this is a bad idea and the way I see it, I don't know how it's possible that nobody at BHVR came up with something like this.
If perks were based on rank, then the ranking system would definitely be in need of changes. As it is right now, rank is basically just time played and hardly represents skill.
Perks based off of rank would also encourage deranking and smurf accounts. If you had to a rank 8+ to use ruin, then survivors would just derank to avoid ruin.
Matchmaking would also be an issue as it is in it's current state. It wouldn't be fair for a green rank to go up against a red rank who has access to all perks while the green rank can't use certain perks.
-
You should consider buying him to unlock PGTW because that's all he's good for anymore.
-
Most of them are within 6 ranks of each other, so by the matchmaking standards that would be a fair game.
-
With gens being able to go so fast, ruin was more like a crutch for someone who broke both of their legs.
-
MoM was an overdone nerf, which a majority of people would agree with.
BL was changed to be similar to other exhaustion perks. It also could create some insanely strong loops.
BT has been buffed multiple times and is still meta.
DS is still meta.

Oni- 4.6m/s or 115%
Alright, I'll continue to not bother you now. XD
Nurse and Myers are definitely incorrect. Nurse moves somewhere around 98% and Myers tier 1 moves at 105% if I'm not mistaken.
-
Out of curiosity, I would like to ask you what rank you are and if you are a newer player. By the fact that you didn't know how to quickly exit a locker I would assume that you're just a newer player.
-
@TheObamacare said:
Why not have it where all gens currently being worked on are locked after a hook, That would give it synergy and still track. I personally think that would be the best way for it to work. Useful in most situations and situationally useful haha
If it worked like that, then survivors could just hop off their gen whenever they see someone go down to completely negate the effect.
-
Slugging isn't really that good on Oni anymore. Every time he downs someone with his power he loses a lot of charge on it. When he picks up a downed survivor he can save the rest of his charge. In no way, shape, or form does he encourage slugging.
The lunge on his dash is honestly comparable to trying to turn a bus, and the demon strike is relatively difficult to land. He is nowhere near being a top tier killer. He isn't necessarily bad, he just isn't that good.
-
Sound in general was bugged on the ptb I think, so it may still be bugged on live servers.

Isn’t it an exploit though using something like that to your advantage knowing it blinds the survivors?
Unless an official announcement is made, it isn't really bannable as most killers don't know about it. Their isn't any feedback to the killer that let's them know it happened. The tomes also have basement challenges, so someone might go for that without knowing about the bug.
-
No one should be banned for it since most people don't even know about it. A killer could just be using a basement build just because they want to, without knowing that this is a bug.
