She feels extremely clunky and unresponsive to play her. It's like playing in massive 300 ping lag or something when using her power. But it isn't lag. It's just the natural delay and slowdown baked into the killer. The problem is it feels awful. There's a delay where I can't summon crows too close to the hook, a delay putting crows down, a delay firing them, a delay on them hitting their target etc etc etc. She is full of "delays" that all come together to make her power feel unresponsive and clunky to use. I don't enjoy summoning crows, pressing ctrl like 15 times and it not doing anything because the game has some arbitrary timer I must wait before I am allowed to. I'm not saying she needs buffs. Something just needs to be done to smooth out how these delays and restrictions feel. I'm not sure how you do that but yeah, my feeling with her is that using her power is akin to playing in lag, but it's not lag, it's just a design feature. And that's not really fun. I like her look, I like the idea of her power. I don't like feeling like there's a 5 second timer between "I want to fire some birds at a guy" to actually getting there.
-
The game is starting to become unplayable for me. Once hour of the witch hit I began having bad texture pop in unless I turn my settings UP higher, and got intermittent lag and frame drops on certain maps. Since the latest patch it's actually becoming unplayable. I randomly drop to 45 FPS average after playing for say an hour and restarting doesn't do anything. Game is fine and then suddenly just constant frame drops. It makes an already frustrating game that much more frustrating. I have stayed despite the laundry list of game issues, but I genuinely will quit if I am just forced to play at like 40 FPS now when there was no such problem until a recent update, because I don't consider the game playable anymore.
-
I like bird lady because you can fire crows at them from across map and they tend to just leave once they get swarmed and damaged from across map.

I never asked for sbmm.
I said it from the start that it would be a bad idea.
Plenty didn't want it. Others were almost gleeful for it because they felt it would make streamers miserable.

I'd say the amount of people dead from gates being 99'd is far higher than the amount killed by a surprise blood warden with the gates open.

You said you were learning her. Of course you’re not going to win against a high level squad in that case
Why is he going against a high level squad with a brand new killer he has 3 matches on?
-
Only had a few matches on the PTB. On live, My opinion after quite a few matches with her is that she feels clunky. I liken it to playing in 500 ping lag or something. There's a delay to summon the crows, a block on summoning near a hook, a delay to place them all, a delay to fire, a travel time. All of this lends to her power feeling clunky to me as everything feels "slow" and delayed. I hook someone and I have to walk far away from the hook to even use my power. I place down birds and need to hard read since the act of summon mode+put crows down+fire takes so much time. I don't find her weak, I just don't find it very good design and feel she needs to be streamlined because as is it feels slow. It sucks that I can place crows and get through like 50 mashes of my ctrl key before they'll actually fire. There has to be a better way to bake in cooldowns on her without making her power feel unresponsive. I don't really enjoy lag and I sure don't like it when the effect of what lag does is basically baked into the character as a feature of her power or something. I don't think she is weak or needs nerfs and so far I don't think she needs buffs either. She just needs to feel smoother to play. Quality of life improvements needed big time.

Hit Validation is just refunding hits you shouldnt of gotten in the first place, a survivor cant consistently abuse this, and every refunded hit counts as a miss. Sure you have people claiming that they received the succesfull hit cooldown, but I have yet to experience this, nor have I seen video proof.
Also that Dead Hard turning thing was in for a week... and it was on a PTB... and it was confirmed a bug
Why are we still going on about this when it's been proven the perk is broken and needs fixing? Like, multiple times. It's really quite frustrating to see people keep ignoring clear facts because they don't want it fixed. Kind of makes it seem there's no point arguing.
https://twitter.com/PixelBushYT/status/1465494911835422732 survivors keep telling me the perk was specifically designed as a counter to a handful of specific killers though, even though this sure doesn't look right to me.

No, people just don't want to acknowledge that being on the receiving end of a t bag is not the end of the world.
The same can be said of slurs and various other forms of mental torture. Just sounds like you're making excuses is all. We could, you know, ban it instead? But I know people who are into DBD hate actually attempting to fix issues. Much better to let it fester.
-
People still don't want killers buffed though. I honestly think if push came to shove, most players would prefer 20 minute to 1 hour long queues over every killer actually being strong and competitive. I saw one guy elsewhere complaining about it and was adamant there should be more nerfs for killer, not buffs, and the correct solution would be to put in a "survivor coin" system where you get "survivor coins" for playing killer and can use them to play survivor. No coins=no survivor for you lmao.
Just funny the lengths some people will go. "I want this solved but I don't actually want to do anything to help solve it."
Also my survivor queues are still 6 minutes

I like the idea of the rewards system. But the ultimate solution to this unfortunately is to just grow a thicker skin online. Sounds harsh I know, but it's just a game and you have power to not take it personally
It's terrible advice.

Like I get what you're saying, people shouldn't be so terrible. But the fact is, it's gonna happen. So unless you are doing somethjng to deal with the issue yourself, you've got no right to complain
By this logic why have laws since people are going to break them anyway?

You don't get that I don't magically understand how you've concluded a tactic is unfair?
Because the only reasoning that seems to be presented is "You haven't given the people who you're told to kill equal attention and time to do things", but that doesn't make any sense as a claim that a tactic is unfair. It's not cheating, it's not playing dirty. It can be indistinguishable from random chance or opportunism. And it's completely antithetical to the notion of a competitive multiplayer experience to tell one side their job is to literally play inefficiently.
This is the only game I know of where you are expected to play badly and are a big meanie head if you play efficiently
-
Actually ban people for being toxic instead of acting like it's okay/acceptable would be a start. This game and dev team are the embodiment of that Simpsons scene. "We've tried nothing and we're all out of ideas!"

Not terrible. About on par with Cenobite - a bit stronger base, a bit weaker addons.
Just - people were going on about her like she was a Nurse with a Pyramid Head in each hand.
Because she requires more than a day to learn. It's like picking up a character in street fighter and expecting to be mastering every tech and combo with them in an hour. People are so quick to scream "KILLER BAD" on every killer, especially the ones intentionally made harder to learn and that require you to learn them. It's like people expect every killer to be Spirit. Not just in power but in blatant ease of use. The same people I've had tell me artist is bad seem to be the same people who tell me Nem zombies don't do anything and Cenobite is bad because of his posessed chains.
If she was on par with Cenobite pre-nerf then I'd consider her A tier at least. If we're talking post nerf then maybe C

I have Adept on every killer, 1300 hours played, rank 1(for what little it's worth), 2-3 kills a game, 4 if I'm feeling mean, and I don't get it.
Either I am the luckiest person in the world and I've skipped over all the bullshit, or y'all are blowing this way out of proportion.
- You complain about Dead Hard doing it's one of two jobs. How would you like it done? Would you like to see more survivors with exhaustion on the ground? The only change they need to make is to not include the blood or the noise of the successful hit, because it's carrot-and-sticking killers.
- Circle of Healing has some problems - in that it completely obsolesces Inner Strength, for example - but the largest problem with Circle of Healing is not Circle of Healing, but Boon Totems in general. But I'm not a game designer, so I can't speak to a solution.
- I do pretty well for myself, thank you.
- As long as online games exist, DDoS's will happen. It's an unfortunate, immensely pathetic part of the online landscape.
- I hear this a lot, but in my thirteen hundred hours I have not experienced a hacker. I might have faced one with a minor speed boost or something, but I couldn't speak to that because it'd be an assumption - I may have just been outplayed.
- I ######### love indoor maps. they add variety. 75% of this game I'm getting stuff like Corn, Cars, or Mines. Miss me with that #########. Give me Ormond any day, killer or survivor. I'd take RPD, Hawkins(RIP) or the Game over bland-ass Shelter Woods.
- Damn, the developers can't perfectly balance a, by definition, imbalanced game. Balance is a suicide cult - because once everyone is 100% viable, people will find ways to pick preferences, and things will be considered imbalanced again, and so on, and so on, et al. There will always be a weak link. That's just how video games are. Look at any fighting games. Look at Smash Brothers - Pikachu is the top tier fighter at 463 points. Do you know the lowest tier? Ganondorf at 304. But I still love playing Ganondorf. There is always an outlier.
If the options are have dead hard negate killer powers and specifically work as a counter to killers like twins, or have the exhausted on the ground, well the latter is the less impactful choice. But I get it's 4 wallets vs 1

If you massively buff killers first every single survivor will quit the game. You need to do both at the same time. In one patch you need to get rid of camping and tunneling while also buffing killers
That's really impossible and you should instead be asking for a sequel game.
-
Man PTB really is worthless, isn't it? Day of PTB everyone including content creators screamed she was amazing, super strong, possibly S tier, needs serious toning down etc. Then she releases and now everyone is saying she's terrible. Then again, people have said that about every character released in the past 2 years.
-
It's one of those killers they made and was a failed design so the devs just try to sweep them under the rug and pretend they don't exist. Many killers suffer this fate. You also won't see anyone caring because "lmao I don't like twins so who cares if a killer has been gutted or nerfed and people who do like them can't play them? It's all about meeeee!"

This does fix the problem killers have though. You get rid of these things then killers can be buffed massively to actually be powerful again without having to abuse unfair strats
Cool. Do that first, then we'll talk.
-
Sue Clive Barker then?
-
I mean if you do that without fixing the massive novel sized issue killers have with the game, it's a sure fire way to quadruple the already 5+ minute survivor queues.
-
You and virtually every other killer going by how the killer queue is 2 seconds despite a new killer release lol
-
But all the content creators and the forum told me she was extremely OP S tier with more potential than the Nurse!

I'm more mocking the general sense of these forums. It's rather pathetic. Any perk survivors get that might be worth running gets massive outrage on these forums. I mean... The suggestion that after 20 seconds of running you should basically just drop dead doesn't really lend these forums even the slightest bit of credibility. That's a real thing someone said on here tonight.
Don't act like the people around you haven't made these forums a joke.
I Don't see why you want survivor to take zero skill. Which is what holding W takes. Zero skill. All I want is for looping to be the primary way of playing survivor since it, you know, takes some modicum of skill. Holding W is also just boring to play against or to do. I play like 80% survivor these days. I want to loop and mind game, not hold W. A game with zero skill involved isn't fun unless you just like seeing "YOU ESCAPED!" and feeling like you somehow accomplished something.
-
Might be why there's still instant killer queues despite a new killer having been released. I remember killer queues being much longer during Nemesis and Tricksters releases.
-
I'll never agree Bubba is anywhere near as easy as people want to believe he is unless you feel face camping is the only way to play. It's like since the character is canonically "simple" that means the character is simple to play. Every single M1 killer is easier to use. Blight belongs either hard to use or extremely, unless we're pretending people who slide off everything and just use the rush just for movement are how blight is meant to be played.

Get good at doing something like half the killer roster counters now. Brilliant. Before we only had a few killers where you were pretty much guaranteed to get hit when you dropped a pallet, now they're becoming the majority. You say adapt and learn how to deal with new killers. We do that and you cry too.
Pretty sure the killers in this forum won't be happy until you need to fix 8 gens, but only 7 spawn still, and there are no pallets, windows, or perks. We just run around honking like geese while you butcher us. I imaging you'd then complain that the honking is toxic.
You're too stuck in an us vs them mindset to be worth arguing with.
-
I have now had the honor of having someone go to a random screenshot from another game entirely to comment about me and DBD, because my profile comments are private but screenshots aren't private. It wasn't even a DBD screenshot. So I guess I got that.

I'll never understand people stigmatising 'Holding W' aka running away from the killer
I get why people dislike it, why they think it's unfair or "has no counterplay" but the thing that enables survivors to do it (Post hit speed boost) has been in the game since the very beginning I believe and the maps have only (more or less) gotten a bit more balanced over the years
Here's a question for you people who hate 'W holders'. What do you want them to do? Commit to the closest loop? Waste their speed boost on an animation lock (Which a lot of the killers punish heavily)? Like what do you want?
imo the real problem isn't holding W, it's that chases can take too long making committing not worth it but sometimes you have no other option. It's a lose lose
It requires zero skill to do. Like it can be done by a salt shaker on the W key and a drinking bird toy to hit space bar now and then. The issue is it's too good and what is the point of learning to loop or anything when I am wasting more of the killers time and thus contributing more, by just holding W? And unless against certain killers, there's no way you're going to somehow mess up and go down early like you might at a loop. My issue is it invalidates survivor skill. You know how to loop? Cool. I know how to hold W and press space at the colored wood pieces, and that is more effective, more helpful to the team, and uses more time than actually looping. Usually people want games to be skillful and not lack any skill.
So what do I want them to do? Get good at looping and do that, and to make W holding objectively worse than looping, rather than better than looping. On a lot of maps vs M1 killers it's a better choice to just mindlessly hold W over utilizing skill and mind games to win a chase. I'm unsure how you cannot get why people find that boring and unrewarding.
-
Exponential seems so-so. I did get it to activate twice in one game but the killer was seeming to intentionally let me do it. I'm not sure it will be an issue like COH. Collective action is garbage unless you're with a new player in your swf. Overcome seems unhealthy for the game since it encourages holding W, which is boring. However I have doubts people will use it over DH. Pentimento is a perk out of time. It wants to exist a year ago, not now. I cannot see a reason to use it in a boon meta. Grim embrace is too much work for way too little reward or impact especially for a once a game effect. It needs serious buffing to be usable at all. Pain resonance I have been extremely impressed with and IMO is a solid gen regression perk. It will find its way to many of my builds.
So IMO Killer got one good perk and two bad ones. Survivor got one good perk, one okay perk, one bad perk.

I don't understand why people even said she was overpowered. I would say the nerfs she was given don't really affect her, and are 100% healthy changes.
However, I do believe we should give the new killer some time instead of calling her weak, we don't know what she's fully capable of... yet.
Lots of content creators made click bait videos about her being OP or S tier. Content creators do a lot to affect the direction of opinion in the community.
-
Also if I am killer and catch wind you are trying to do this to your teammates and clearly just want to give up and die to avoid DC penalty, I will bleed you out to ensure you have to waste time waiting. If you're going to ruin your teams game I may as well ensure you either eat the 5 minute penalty or sit on the ground for a while. I had a Feng once just give up trying to kill herself and start playing normally again because of it.
-
She got nuked and is probably a solid mid B tier down from high A on the PTB. New killers are not allowed to be any good after all.
-
Would be if boons didn't exist.
-
Why should I let you go when you're trying to ruin my game? lol
-
It's weird. Survivors tell me chases are the one fun thing in DBD and that sitting on gens isn't fun. Yet when a killer gives them chases an entire game and doesn't leave them alone to sit on gens, survivors get mad. Why is this?

Because we aren't allowed strong killers they have to be able to bullied into submission by survivors. I swear bhvr don't even test viability against swfs etc.
I do not believe this game is tested for anything besides the newest players because that's the only thing behavior cares about

We are not changing that perk over her introduction. That's like changing Hoarder just because of that 1 Pinhead build.
Plus numerous killers can utilize LP to great effect. Nurse, Blight, Billy, Huntress can all utilize LP better than others. Blight and Nurse can use to to initiate a chase within the first 5 seconds of a match since they can on most maps make it to the survivors auras in the 9 seconds

Activate-able Perk.
You can take a beaking.
When Injured, tap into your adrenaline bank and dash forward quickly to avoid damage.
- Press the Active Ability button while running to dash forward.
- Avoid any damage during the Dash.
Dead Hard causes the Exhausted
Status Effect for 60/50/40 seconds.
Dead Hard cannot be used when Exhausted.

so it work as intended Sorry . i still see many ppl using it wrong and make mistakes with it take advantage for soloQ players, if youre against a full squad you already know that is an Other Story and getting an hard Game XD

Why do you think losing 3 survivors despite the game not being over is fun for the killer? This isn't a co-op game with an AI enemy.

It's pretty entertaining to watch Survivor do their crouching rituals and then cleanse your totem right in front of your eyes since it spawned beside them and you physically can't do anything to reach it and can only die inside.

I equipped VHS tape and rule set number 2 and then crouched infront of a box so the survivors that were unlucky and had their key in there were doomed from the start.
