Neither deserve a nerf.
Ruin could see a nerf from 2.0x to 1.5x. Undying is fine as is.
-
It is Feng Min. She’s the smallest.
-
Hag could probably have the Exec treatment applied. He cannot leave trails around hooks or generators. I think it’d be a good change as she is one of the hook camping champs as you’re seeing and I do not care for the mechanic either.
-
I sometimes go through phases on my favorite killers. At the moment it is hands down Hillbilly. My build is:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOdd52u1hqE&t=635sEnduring is my favorite chase perk on Hillbilly. I prefer pallets down and it works really well with Mother's Helpers if I ever feel the urge to use them.
Ruin/Undying to slow the game down. The aura reading gives me chase clues as well.
Barbecue and Chili for bloodpoints and to find the next chase with.
My "flex" perk is usually Enduring. Base on the addons I bring with Hillbilly, I will often switch out Enduring for Monitor and Abuse because it works so well with the "silent" builds like Belt Buckle, Off Brand Motor Oil, Engravings, Apex Muffler, etc.

I'm going to be real with you. I main solo and I see it a lot in Red Ranks but at the same time its swf gen jockeys playing by themselves. I don't mean all swf teams by saying this but a good majority are in a rank they shouldn't be because they ride their friends win streaks while their friends ride the Killer they sit on gens and totems until its time to escape. Then when they want to play and their friends aren't on they play solo and we get this crap shoot.
My favorite theory in this thread.

Self care is in it’s proper form currently. Two survivors to heal each other is sixteen seconds. Remove one, thirty-two seconds.
Proper.
The problem is as stated above, bad timing of use. Like teammates dying on hook. Claudia SC’ing in a corner.

what are you dumb? PGTW your only really use it 5 times and you have to down someone then hook them then kick the gen to get it work for ds you just have to unhooked and you can use ds 4 times in a match if your entire team brings it ds has no counter play just jump into the locker killer cant do anything about it ds can add 20 seconds into the game (if you count all 4 stuns)
If you’re eating four DS’s a game. Well, I would say that’s not very smart. Guess not every killer should be expected to know how to play against DS.

Too much counter play to DS what? It is not a strong perk? The only counter play would be to slug the DS user, but it doesn't even matter if they have unbreakable. If everyone ran DS, what do you think the outcome of the match would be?
I play a lot of red rank matches against survivors with DS. I rarely get DS’d. Because of the forum complainers, I check end game screens to count the DS’s that amazingly didn’t activate.
If it doesn’t activate, it’s an empty perk slot. Empty perk slots are not strong.
I can show you plenty of my matches where I play against four DS’s and multiple UB’s. They were empty perk slots in a 4k trial. And I cannot say my matches were perfect gameplay. Just know the game.

Quick question though wasnt pop nerfed because you could chase and down another survivor and still be able to pop a gen? And the fact "60 seconds is a long time for a perk to be active". Seems kinda funny when all pop does is add like 15 seconds to one gen if it happens to be there. Not gonna say the same logic should apply to ds+ub but getting stunned for 5 seconds is a lot more impactful then adding 15 seconds to one gen. And im well aware of the ability to keep track but when im snowballing and downing multiple people at a time because they make a mistake. (This mostly happens with my oni with infectious fright because i can snowball and down multiple survivors if they happen to be in the area) to lose so much momentum to one perk combo seems alittle annoying. We all know how the old anti momentum MoM was. I hope even survivors understood it was busted.
Bad what about-ism. PGTW can be used easily eight plus times in a trial. DS, once. DS is not a strong perk. Too much counter play.
-
The common speculation is December 1st as that is three weeks after the PTB, which is the trend.

Ive hooked another survivor and still got hit by ds but noone ever talks about that i guess.
We do talk about this. There's a part of the HUD in the bottom left that tells every player in a trial the health state and name of each survivor. The killer does not even have to see a survivor to know if they are injured or hooked still. This is why players on the forums are saying the killers complaining about DS are not paying attention. Because the killer has the opportunity to know who was hooked and how long since the survivor they put into dying state has been unhooked.
Too often players come on here to excuse bad play with game mechanics when the game mechanics are solid and are the things that keep the game interesting.

Pay attention.
If you get DS'ed, it's your fault.
I really, really, really want this to become the mantra on this forum. Concise, true. I like it.

Red rank killer (and survivor) here. The competitive scene of this game can be unforgiving. You win some and you lose some, but every now and then, human nature comes into play. I am 1 match into my current play session and I feel like getting off. Why? Because playing killer + toxic SWF = zero fun. I try to ignore it, and tell myself to just play for fun, but it doesn't work. If there is no chance of winning, I'm not having fun. That is especially true when sadistic people, who use this game as an online bullying tool, have to rub salt in the wound. When winning isn't enough for you, you've got a problem.
But my biggest issue is: where's the pushback? As individual players, all we can do is ignore the toxicity. Toxic people will be toxic, but maybe there would be less of them if they were at least told that what they're doing is wrong.
To my knowledge, the devs haven't said a word about unsportsmanlike behavior, despite the useless in-game report feature. Why not? Do they approve of it or what? Because frankly it's pushing longtime players, as well as new ones, away from the game. These toxic players, confident in knowing that their behavior is a back burner issue to the devs, if even that, is ruining this game and it's image.
So I say: If toxicity is wrong, let's hear it. Give us something.
Winning and then stating that you won despite the excuses of the losing party (SWF, etc.) is pretty normal and I am not ready to agree that that is toxic.
We should all remember that we are dealing with kids and immaturity on these games. Mean kids and complainers.

I think Legion is solid as is. Does not need buffs.
-
I do not like this thread anymore :(((
-
Wait what? I personally don’t think DS is this gawd perk so many on here say it is, but what are you saying, OP?
-
Why am I going to play the Twins? Because I have Prestiged Three’d the first 21 killers. Looking forward to the mix up. Even if it’s a weaker killer. It’s a new challenge to master.
-
Because they are not bait. It’s player’s real thoughts and they need solid answers. I’d say too many on the board can’t provide solid answers, so instead they make threads like this.
-
There is no game mechanic to fix for SWF. Play better. Prevent good plays. Have situational awareness.
-
DS doesn’t work because the killer tunneled. Go be a lawyer elsewhere, both of you. It works by picking up a downed survivor up to sixty seconds after unhook.
If the killer is unknowingly eating a DS, that’s the killer’s fault. The bottom left of the HUD gives every player info on who was injured, hooked, and names to track.
If the survivor stopped a chase to go into a locker, chances are the chase would’ve lasted longer than the five second stun. Advantage, killer. But please. Continue complaining.
-
Might be just too strong. Legions power is very good at getting first hits. Then you have to M1 killer the survivor(s) down. Maybe pretty similar but also Victors really good against injured survivors too
-
I 4k’d all my killer matches today 🤷♂️
Played Ghostface and Hillbilly mostly.
-
The Prestiged cosmetics are some of the hardest to notice/see for many survivors and killers. They do provide something unique.
-
It’s an interesting idea. I lean towards a shorter timer but we’ll see. Victor seems quite strong as it is with these changes
-
I’m looking at those terror radius unhooks like:

I repeat, FIRST MATCH. BHVR, get this joke that you call a matchmaking system fixed. This is utterly ridiculous. Is it really that hard to wonder why new players don't stick around?

Nevermind!

Yesterday I played against a Dwight with a Broken Key. He was definitely going for the Balanced Landing challenge.
-
Bunch of bologna.
-
My guess is either rush job (Adam and Clown both have new unique outfits to unlock in the rift and challenges as pointed out) or they have a part in the last piece of lore that isn’t dedicated to one character.

Because maybe some don't need it? I don't ever really run it.
I agree. I rarely have to use it, too, but I like having that insurance. For that one in twenty match.
-
I legit don’t understand why survivors wouldn’t bring DS.
-
This is called ‘Funneling’ or ‘Forced Tunneling.’ Killer only had the one option. It is sadly a common place scenario and is hardly a good critique in the post game.
@Zaytex said:
-I, as Killer, hook a survivor, and walk probably half the map away to scout some generators and give them the chance for the unhook despite having no BBQ & Chili auras, etc.
-Survivor gets unhooked, so I'll go back to the hook as that's my only lead/option.
-Healthy survivor who rescued proceeds to stealth & hide, leaving me with no choice but to chase the injured survivor who was just on the hook and since he can't stealth.
-Proceed to post-game where they complained that I only tunnelled despite clearly limiting my options to only being able to chase the guy who was just hooked.
=)
-
Wraith is addon dependent, I’ll admit that. Anything beyond that and we disagree about how good/not-a-push-over Wraith is.

It's actually a huge deal. If you team up with other survivors and already know where the hatch is going to spawn, it can be pretty much a guaranteed escape if you bring one or more keys. It forces you to tryhard and sweat even more. Also keep in mind, you brought an A tier killer. Imagine weaker killers or less experienced killers.
It's unnecessary, and it's unfair.
Cannibal because I had a daily. I personally do not mind survivors going all out because if I beat them despite the handicaps. Well, in the words of Simba: slimy yet satisfying. Especially when people like to remind me that I should’ve lossed horribly in these unfair circumstances.
The talk of less experienced killers is not a problem of game design.
It is fair because we all know loading in where it will spawn. Besides, you get the moral victory when losing to a key and that’s what’s really important, amirite?
-
I love these posts. We’ll see what Cashel puts out to compare but 460,000 is a good haul!
-
I’ve played against this a ton in the last few weeks and in my opinion, not a big deal. I got to know where the hatch was too. Most of the time, my worst case scenario is one escapes through hatch.
Here’s a game yesterday. Cannibal against two keys and a killshack hatch offering:

I think it’s ‘refusing to participate in normal gameplay.’ The problem is the line that people draw for this to become an offense is too short in too many minds. Which makes me lean to not making it bannable in all cases.
But yeah, slugging all four then AFKing is bad and I would like recourse on players who do this.

I really don't understand why so many people tryhard against survivors who literally don't try at all. I just played against a hag that tunneled and mori'd everyone in a three-man at five gens, after someone dc'd. Literally everyone else in the game was chilling and that hag just wanted to ruin that like bruh
On a serious note: if I find myself in a trial where I am massively outclassing the group I happened upon, it's not very fun. I do not want to babysit to help them learn or farm throughout the match either. I am a red rank player. So I prefer to just win as fast as possible so I can get to the next trial where maybe it will be competitive and fun.
Hope this helps you understand the "tryhards."

That is true in some cases as well but for example in endgame while doors are opened ds is life savior for survivors but if they use ds in midlle of game and you yet lose that's all on you I agree
The example you listed here (in EGC) is exactly what I meant in my quote.
-
DS is just the cherry on top to these killers losing their trials. They aren’t losing because of DS. It’s just the easiest excuse.
-
Post-nerf Hillbilly is so underrated.
-
The rift: I play the game so much as it is that it’s a net zero cost for me. All the auric cells are ‘earned’ back and just saved for the next Tome.
Regular cosmetics: cause it’s cool. I like having it.

the blood webs are actually fine the way they are. I feel like I’m going pretty fast through them getting the perks. Maybe you don’t play enough or something, but I do definitely think that games need a BP increase. It’s soo bad going from a double bloodpoint weekend back to playing normally. It feels like the double bloodpoint weekends SHOULD be the normal, but that might be too much if they have bloodpoint weekends so maybe just a little more. Like 40k max or something
Agreed. Webs are fine and this was one of the nicest ways of putting it.

Oh young child, you have much to learn (I've been playing since release). I will commemorate you though. It is ALOT easier now to get bloodpoints than it was a long time ago. However comparitively at the same time there ALOT more perks and characters (Killers) now than there was a long time ago, needing for another - and better update.
I’ve only been playing for about a year and a half (PS4 and PC) and I have probably prestige three’d somewheres around 38 killers and fifteen survivors (both platforms). I think I know some things.

I feel like I have to play on low graphics settings just because of how dark many of the maps are as low settings makes the game a lot brighter.
Most egregious for me are the swamp maps. Whenever I run underneath the structures I can't see any of the exits half the time.
I play on low too now a days. It is brighter than high and no one blends in low settings.

Yeah, tell that to the people that just started to play the game :]
The grind is pretty much THE biggest reason why i can't recommend this game to other people.
I started in February on PC. You can use shards on the shrine, complete all the Tome challenges, and live it up during the blood point events and easily max out multiple characters.
The game could do better at explaining how to get bloodpoints, but there are a ton of methods to.

How the perk is works right now is either a super strong anti-momentum and anti-tunneling perk. It must be balanced absolutely
How the perk works, survivors might use it one in ten matches. If a killer is unknowingly eating a lot of DS’s in multiple matches, it’s either them not paying attention (which makes a lot of sense of twitch streamers who read chat) or they are playing the exact playstyle that it was created for.
DS is not strong or too strong. It’s an empty perk slot most matches. Right next to unbreakable.
-
Hard pass from me. DS doesn’t even kinda sorta lose my matches. The playstyle of killers that DS bonks is worth the occasional five second stun.
