I would prefer people can say more things in chat and the others to choose to engage or not. Map names are hidden by the censor. Character names are hidden by the censor.
I am often left wondering what the other players are saying and left doubting that anything offensive was actually washed by the filter.

This isn't even agree to disagree.
I'm just flabbergasted that you could say that, tbh.
-
To OP - the censor only works when in a public lobby or EGC. The censor doesn’t work when we click on survivor from the main menu. This might be why you think it’s off.
-
Had it happen yesterday too. Figure it’s a bug.
-
Got my doubts about this one.

The addon has confused me for a long time, because I could never figure out what it did exactly. The wording of the addon is not very helpful and is very clearly missing important information.
Earlier today OhTofu uploaded a video about this addon and explained what the addon does. Tofu isn't a Trickster player and his performance in the games shouldn't be used as a judge for how good the addon is.
OhTofu vid: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CXn2viIjK14
Basically the further away a survivor is when you hit them with a blade, the more laceration damage you do. At close range you do 50% laceration damage and we don't know what the distance scaling is and if there is a cap for the extra laceration damage.
It also increases the laceration damage dealt for each consecutive blade hit up to 200% laceration damage. This seems to take a couple of knives to hit the cap so it's scaling is actually pretty good. If you miss a blade then the damage is completely reset.
I just can't see how this is ever useful? It's an addon that rewards you for long range shots and high accuracy and punishes you for trying to go for spam shots at close range. It just seems counterintuitive to Trickster's design.
I’m going off memory here but I do not believe there’s a range component to this addon.
My guess, and it’s just a guess, is it goes per blade: 50% - 100 - 150 - 200 - 200 - etc
This means three hits in a row is same as base kit, but quickly builds into health states after. Only taking six hits for a health state and ten for a down. Base is sixteen.
If the green addon that reduces laceration is included, this figure changes to five and nine.
When combined with the other iri, it’s five blades straight and a swing.
-
Shadowborn should just be a toggle for killers.
-
Players do not feel the same way as you do about this just being a party game. I really like their rank reset ideas they put out (reset to R20 and bloodpoint rewards) but they need to loosen matchmaking on the SBMM because it is truly terrible how long the queues got for the ‘high MMR’ players.
-
They should just combine the two kinds of bottles. It feels like old Doctor.
Noone talks about how weak Doctor is anymore.
-
4king the SWF I regularly played with.
They win a lot too. Have a hard time dealing with losing 😂
-
I haven’t had any trouble. Some of the challenges can be thought around.
Like the Dark Devotion one you mentioned can be done with Ghostface. When in his ability, the GF gains the undetectable status effect and can hit out of it. Scratch mirror could also do this.
If you do unlock her teachables, I would recommend this.
-
I think they could increase base overheat reduction back to 5 charges/sec like on release and turn his four overheat related addons into something interesting.
Remove the movement speed penalty and activation requirements on the charge time addons.
Remove the bump penalty from spiked boots. Reduce the turn speed slightly. Add a rare turn speed addon as a halfway point between spiked boots and dads boots.
Buff big buckle and black grease. BB reduces Hillbillies terror radius by six meters while sprinting. Black grease becomes the rare turn speed addon.
Pighouse gloves adds a difficult skillcheck to survivors on generators when Hillbilly sprints towards them.
Muffler becomes a combination of two of the common addons or a worse lopro (chainsaw always does one health state instead of two).
Air filter slightly increases turn speed.

If you get it once as killer or survivor do you automatically get it on every killer and survivor?
You do. Killer is easier.
-
At the start of a chainsaw sprint, there’s a 0.5 second window of a high sensitivity turn rate. This is muscle memory for the good Hillbillies. The player just gets used to turning in that half second.
After the curve window passes, the turn rate drastically reduces.
-
This is often just as much the killers play as the survivors in my experience.
-
I’ve been thinking about the Big Buckle addon and I think it should just reduce his terror radius while chainsaw sprinting.
The new ideas can be built on. Just give him more good addons
-
Well, you can just remember all the good times you had in the prior hundred games, right?
-
Wraith
-
With the censor, you’re not missing much. I can tell you PS network issued me a warning for a very laughable reason though, so there’s no good place to talk I guess.
-
I don’t know how necessary it is to discuss players addresses but I don’t think it should be censored.
-
Of this list, it’s:
Nurse
Hag
Huntress
Hillbilly
Doctor
Wraith
Trapper
-
This thread made me realize that at least five killers could use touch ups. Myers and Hillbilly are my top addon passes. Pig. Then ghost face. Finally, Hag needs limitations to her power.

Never dodge.

Either way it won't grant the ability to see things killer can't normally by turning , the fov is too low for that
Nurse players are known for using this to see over the fatigue. I feel BHVR could stop this by putting in borders around the FOV like they do when the maps load.
-
Shadowborn should become basekit and given a new ability. Monitor’s FOV changes can be tiresome.
-
I change my playstyle based on how the trial progresses. If it’s a SWF, I have five hooks and five gens left, I ease up. Let them reset.
-
It would make it more interesting for sure.
-
I personally think players with flashlights are counterproductive to winning. If they get a save, great, but as a killer I know how easy it is to catch these kinds of players off guard and through these methods, create a bigger snowball then I would’ve earned if they played without a flashlight.
Its probably a great feeling to get a save and I have benefited from flashlight saves before but my feeling is if my teammates were doing more than chasing the killer as the killer chased another player, our matches would go far more smoothly.
So yes, I think flashlight horny survivors are detriments to the team. As killer. As a SWFer. As a solo survivor.
I’ve been the aggravating teammate on comms explaining why this is bad to my online buddies while we were winning a lot of matches and then, when by chance I’ve gotten to play my teammates later as killer, absolutely demolished them.
You do not need lightborn as killer. You want them to be baited into making the always bad decision.

@Nameless Its not that hard to get bp on survivor maybe people aren't doing more than what they should be doing. I always get 20-32k bp when I play survivor because I do my objectives, get altruism, good chases and etc instead of playing so immersed ( hiding all game, scared to do gens, scared to get saves, basically being a failure to the team). If you want more bps start running prove thyself and we're going to farm forever or whatever helps you get bps.
It’s extremely hard to get survival bloodpoints on survivor. It’s pretty much only 5k for escape or nothing.
Some killers have abilities that give survivors bloodpoints (Freddy, Deathslinger, Legion, Plague). But for the most part it’s zero or five thousand.
-
The censor is a failure in my opinion. It's their decision to include it as a company but I very much do not like it.
-
Oni and Huntress are great. I like Demo’s arm tendrils.
Survivor or killer, the character typically gets darker and less noticeable.
-
Here’s my list for reference if anyone’s curious.
-
I like prestiging. Seventeen killers on PS4; all twenty-three on PC.
I based my prestige order on PC based on what perks I wanted most (so first four killers), then what killers I enjoyed most. After you get a handful of prestiged killers, you can use those to farm up bloodpoints on any new ones.
-
Because it doesn’t feel survivor or killer sided. It’s just a normal simple map. The god house is weaker than most with easy counters.
The only complaints I’ve heard of this map is about the car stacks with OoO but doubt that matters anymore.
-
I like it 🤷♂️
-
The totem and hatch placements along the edges of the map are my only complaint. Without those factors, I really enjoy the map when not playing Blight.

Those were my games when they tested mmr.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/248278/me-a-red-rank-killer-vs-green-rank-survivors
I think the idea is to drop them on the hatch, not divebomb'em into making one in the ground.
A moral conundrum. Do I let them go because clearly outmatched and I feel sorry (thus giving them an escape against a red rank killer)
OR
Kill them. No remorse to make sure they’re properly ranked in MMR?
Truth is how much deviousness bloodpoints I’ve accumulated in the trial usually makes the decision for me. Hard to pass up the +2,500.

Maybe we need an FAQ

Pick rate.

i understand that but the way to address that isn't to punish players for hitting attacks and making the character to feel bad to play and clunky when it comes to playing them, i understand a lot of survivors dislike the twins but that isn't how you balance a character.
What’s it going to take to get Twins players to use Charlotte more? The answer to this question is probably the adjustment needed for the Twins.
-
Nice. I used a lot of these early on to quicken up my prestiging. I still enjoy these 250k ones but not the 150s so much now a days.
-
You get used to it. Just be more gentle with movements during it. It lasts about half a second and we think of it as a ‘curve window’ like Yords was describing above.
Trust, this curve window is very good for Billy.
-
Match making is based on whois in the queue just as much as rank. Being able to play against higher ranks is a good thing and the best people to learn from. If things aren’t working, try to figure out what you can do to make it work.

It's funny how killer mains always find an "intended way" to use survivors perks just to justify demanding completely unreasonable nerfs. Dead Hard was "intended" to be what it is and to work how it works. At no point did they say "you have to bait or DH into the killer".
Just stop with this nonsense.
It’s not even killer mains. Just a few sore losers who blame the wrong factors for why they lost/are losing.
-
Oni’s cosmetic from the last Tome is grueling to look at. And the first time I saw the face on his winter weapon my stomach turned.

Dead hard, is far from fine dude. because unlike every other exhaustion perk, It literally gives you a second chance after you mess up during a chase, lithe and balanced landing are more used to get to a stronger loop and such, dead hard is pathetic. If you think dead hard is fine then man you've never played killer or experienced the power of it against you
DH is fine. This forum is full of killer mains and they are explaining above how to deal with it.
The last sentence quoted above is asinine.
-
Right now, just Hillbilly. His addons are ridiculous and/or not strong.
-
Because the devs don’t want Twin players using Victor for mass slugging. His power is incapacitating and snitching out other survivors. Many of the addons cause effects when removing Victor.
Use Charlotte more.

On average you will get way more value from WGLF than even Unbreakable. WGLF is a default on all my survivor builds.
The true equivalent to BBQ since the buff
-
Survivors were already pretty much unable to dodge a fully charged hatchet. This is just another way of getting there quicker. I think it’s a good new addon.
-
It’s -2 pips on your hundredth DC, too. Don’t DC.
If the game crashed, it could be something on the players end. Network. Hardware issues. Weather. Those are the players responsibility too imo.
