I thought this was at least worked on?

hi whoever is reading this. im coming back to dbd because some buds of mine have got it on ps5. i want to get back into playing killer, and after hearing about the stuff with ranks and MMR and all that jazz i thought id be against lower ranks (im pretty rusty, used to be rank 8 now rank 18). but...

against a rank 10. is it because of crossplay being enabled? i really dont want to re-live the days of playing against those 10+ ranks higher than me. any and all help is appreciated. thanks for your time.

ps. i know im playing myers, and he's seen as outdated, but i find him cool as hell.

  • Best bet is to play during the earlier hours if possible. Matchmaking isn’t as terrible then

  • Match making is based on whois in the queue just as much as rank. Being able to play against higher ranks is a good thing and the best people to learn from. If things aren’t working, try to figure out what you can do to make it work.

  • The new MMR system isn't out yet, its being worked on and has only been active in temporary tests.

Your matchmaking should be all over the place like everyone else so don't be surprised, but know that rank doesn't mean anything and is not an accurate measure of skill.

  • That actually isn't anywhere near as bad as what I've seen others post before. That's three players who pretty much exactly at the rank of the killer. A Rank 10 isn't that far removed from the ranks of the other players, and since there were three crossplay players, they might have been playing with one of the other two (or both), pulling them into the lobby.
