I do agree if either NoED or Adrenaline gets nerfed, the other would have to be as well.

I’d just like to know more counter play than “guess where the invisible lady is” and “just run iron will”.
Well, if she's not wearing prayer beads, listen for the phasing hum.
If you suspect she's phasing, try not to make loud noises or leave scratch marks.
Although, if your with a group of people and the Spirit is phasing, make as many scratch marks as possible, intertwined with your teammates. It should confuse the Spirit tremendously.
Other than that, she's a 110% Killer with a breathing sequence that's loud as fudge.

I think he still lacks actual counterplay, he can just activate his power and vault or stuff so maybe looking at him and disabling his power would fix this.
Are we talking about Legion or Ghostface?
If anything, being looked at by the survivor, especially one he's in chase with, should BOOST his power. You know, FERAL FRENZY?

If the alternative is muting it, playing at an even greater disadvantage in solo queue, what else would you call it? The game would become unplayable. Someone in this thread literally posted that it would be fair if teammates screw you over if you are the one guy who is on mute lol. Do you know how idiotic that is to say?
i do not have an answer, but what I do know is this is horrible and isn’t it.
Okay, no. This whole "literally unplayable" argument you're using doesn't help anything.

Fact: if they implement in game voice comms with any limitations like proximity, survivors will still use Discord to get around it, so "balancing around in game voice coms" is wishful thinking.
While area chat is an idea, I personally think there should be no area limit.

Forcing people (yes, you essentially ARE forcing them) to play with voice chat will absolutely result in the loss of players. I would not play anymore myself. This is completely the wrong way to go about it.
'Forcing' is a little hyoerbolic dont ya think?
If this IS the wrong way to go about this, please think of an alternative.

Even then its a terrible idea honestly it is people have suggested this before you and im sure you wont be the last dbd is not a competitive game it does not need voice chat plus the levels of toxicity are off the charts i couldnt imagine the stuff people would say on voice chat the game is fine where its at let it be.
If you want communication discord and skype are a thing id rather leave it at that im sure others feel the same. The devs suggested it awhile back and got a storm of people begging for it to never become a thing.
The game was, wholeheartedly, not built to be competative, but whether you think so or not, IT IS. The ranking system wouldnt exist if it wasnt.
But the thing is, the game wasnt built with communication in mind, and people are doing so anyway. That's not healthy for a game. Especially if the devs KNOW their game is not being played the way they intended.
Lets be honest, this game is horror themed, but it's not a horror game.
-
Hex, arguably yes. BBQ, not really. In fact it can be used to disadvantage the killer.
If the perks were Spirit Fury/Enduring, then my answer would a whole Yes.

We dont want voice chat, its enough for us killers facing SWF teams talking on discord or teamspeak and saying where is the killer going... if you want to talk then add people who has DbD on steam and play with them, but voice chat is too much, not fair.

ADD IN:
To alleviate the rairty issue of the perks im the bloodweb (since they can't really be listed by rarity in this) they perks would cost 4k BP Rank 1, 5k BP Rank 2, and 6k BP Rank 3.
-
Head On hardly works as is, you expect a cool down AND Exhaustion?
-
Using the highest form of play to bolster your argument isn't going to achieve much.
Te'll me when midranks start performing like this, and then we can talk.
-
While having Jigsaw skin would be kinda fun, he wouldn't kill on his own. Amanda, in the movies, killed for her benefit, while Jigsaw only set up the traps and put the victims inside to "teach them a lesson" or some #########.
Basically what I'm saying is Amanda is the better candidate to be the Killer. Jigsaw would actually work better as a survivor who makes his team temporarily suffer, only to buff the wazoo out of them later on.
*EDIT: Though having his other male apprentices would be cool, I think Amanda is the most memorable since she was in the starting trilogy.
-
Holy Hell, what have I started lol
-
Jeff will never be forgotten
-
I would imagine a quick hotfix could handle the issue as soon as it's found, yet they take weeks to do anything about it.
They likely have it fixed already, but are waiting for a hotfix date or something. IMO they should have disabled the perk as soon as the exploit got traction, but I can only dream.

@StarMoral I feel like running enduring on Clown to force survivors to stick around these unsafe pallets could be a VERY effective playstyle with him with these palletloops in play.
I couldnt tell you one thing about clown lol
I still have him at level 1.
I'm more of a rushdown/stealth killer guy

No there not programming a game is very hard and they want a clean game it will be fixed in the next update on Tuesday so there not lazy
Yes, programming is hard, but mind you these are people who have likely been programming for years now. They should really know what they're doing when it comes to this stuff.
We have not been bug free for weeks now, and it seems when they fix one another pops up. (Legion's voice bug for example, which, admittedly not priority, is still in the game with the Sprint bug)
The coders are just doing their jobs, yes, but whoever is telling them to keep this game held together by a spaghetti code needs to really reevaluate their decisions.
-
@LordGlint said:
I honestly think we might wanna wait to change him too much until the reworked maps. I TRIED playing him on PTB on the new preschool maps with the new pallet changes, but... Due to ranks being all over the place in PTB, I only got to play against potatoes. Clown is good at forcing the pallet down early on pallet loops. If more pallet loops in the game are playable, meaning you dont HAVE to kick it and can get a hit on a survivor working around the thrown pallet... That could work fine.
That's very true, a lot of the "weaker killers" only suffer because of the garbage map design. (Hence Enduring/Spirit Fury being so popular on the """M1""" killers)
-
Ebony Moris should be harder to achieve.
Instas should be harder to achieve.
Keys should be changed, likely nerfed to only open the hatch AFTER it has been closed.
Prayer beads should either be Pink rarity or reduce her phasing sound to 8 meters.
Iridescent Head can be annoying, but only if the Huntress hits her shots.
These seems to be one half of the Insta-saw Billy setup, and that ain't changin soon like speedy Spirit or full duration Legion. But to bring a suggestion, just don't let the addons stack.
Nurse addons are odd in that they are busted as hell but ruin the muscle memory she needs. They honestly do need changing to keep a consistant playstyle.
Map Reworks are on the way.
I'd prefer adding a survivor perk that discourages camping. Counterplay. (Plus when was the last time you saw someone run Insidious on a non-meme build.
While I agree that Dying Light encourages tunneling, that's the way of the beast. Plus there are so many anti-tunnel perks that using Dying Light without a huge game plan isn't smart.
Object is completely based on the survivor. Both his skills and communication with his team (if any for both) depend if Object is used right. They may see you, but you see them. Now of we're going to talk about how the Object user can tell his team where the killer is, then that's a discussion on how this game was built for strict solo play but encourages and rewards group play. (As a competetive team game should, but DbD wasnt built for that, so it puts wrenches into a lot of bike spokes).
-
While I'm not sure about the "My friend had a situation", matchmaking is very odd when it comes to SWF (almost like the game wasnt built with it in mind)
Simply pairing with one lower rank can make the killers you go against tremendously easier. A team of red ranks can have a rank 19 in the group and they will still find Rank 15 killers.
-
Cold Dirt and Filthy Blade are his best purples, necause they're just stronger versions of his other add-ons.
Frank's Mix Tape and Stab Wound Study are addons meant for an old version of Legion. The killer no longer needs these because using them doesn't benefit him whatsoever. Frenzying the same person over and over takes over twice the ampunt of time it does to just M1 them, and Stab Wound Study is pointless because Deep Wounds doesn't go down unless outside of the terror radius and/or when not Mending.
I love Legion, I really do, but those addons are pointless.

And what caused you to come to that conclusion?
People only got banned for using legion blades glitch because it was game breaking. It held games hostage. Devs were fair and put out a warning before banning. It wasn’t because devs are supposedly biased towards survivors.
Survivor bugs are minor, they haven’t held games hostage and if anything just causes an annoyance to the killer. The wake up bug and the sprint burst bug don’t hold the game hostage, I’m not saying it’s alright to abuse it but it isn’t as bad as legion bug.
Also it’s funny seeing endless threads from Killer mains complaining about SB bug. Calling the devs biased towards survivors for not banning for these small bugs.
Just deal with it. Survivors had to deal with bugs from killers that were a lot worse, like aforementioned legion blades bug and tinkerer 2 bug.
"Deal with our game breaking bug because we had to deal with your game breaking bug."
You're the reason ######### doesn't get fixed.
-
That's why whenever you go against a Legion, it's likely Suzie.
-
Hey all!
Too easy to use for what it's worth.
Cypress, meh.
Ivory, good and can destabalize a team pretty quick.
Ebony, needs another prerequisite. If the closest thing to an Ebony is a Hex Totem that can be destroyed within seconds, then I think it's a little too strong.
-
They mentioned they were working on a new vaulting animation (don't know why it takes 3 months to make a new vault but whatever) to make it feel a little quicker, but keep it the same time.
Personally, I wanna see how that turns out first and THEN make my decision on whether going gung-ho with a Vault buff. (They'll probably find a that bug slows his speed down tremendously when they impliment the vault animation anyway)
-
Funny conundrum Rank Reset is.
You get paired with people who do dramatically less than they're supposed to, still win, and just black pip.
When playing survivor, the killer doesn't injure or hook enough people for your Altruism points, or keeps losing you in chases, affevting your Boldness points.
When Killer, survivors arent altruistic enough to save their teammate getting One-Hooked and chases end way to quickly.
It's almost like rank reset serves little purpose.
-
This is a bad idea.
Simply because whenever a killer breaks a pallet, they lose Bloodlust.
Safe or Unsafe, if they break it, they lose that speed.
-
It'd be funny if a survivor triggers several loud noise notifications in a shirt amount of time, their aura is revealed and the entity blocks the window or locker, and maybe even destroys the pallet they're vaulting.
-
Thing is, Survivor BP gains deter me from playing then and just playing killers I knownhow to play (Ghostface, Pig, Wraith, and lots and lots of Legion). I do still play Survivor a lot, but if I'm trying to level one of them, there's no real point in playing them to do so. Just slap on a BP Build for Legion and go to town.
-
The best solution to fixing SFW is to balance the game with communication in mind, and possibly even adding communication within the game itself.
Right now, the reason why SFW works so well is because it's implimented in a game where you are supposed to be alone.
-
This perk honestly sounds like a bad version of Distortion. While it would be cool to get another stealth perk for survivors, I don't think replicating Insidious would be too good.
-
The thing with Object is that it's okay when solo, but insanely overpowered with teams.
Even with that in mind, the Object user has to be really good with their chase or die wothin the first 2 minutes of the game.
-
Spine Chill doesn't do much to the killer within a chase, just outside of chases.
And this is coming from a guy who ADORES spine chill.
-
The risk with a lot of unsafe pallets is that... They're unsafe. Most of the time you just stun the killer and year to the next pallet.
-
I do find it a little odd I can see their stain through solid wall.
BUT that would also cause an indirect nerf to killers because they can't mindgame as well around walls.
-
I really like using Lithe, but I think I should try to get Dead Hard since I already have David King to level 30. Wouldn't hurt to get that cru- I mean, meta perk.
-
I unhooked a Jake and we ran to the Meat Tree so I can heal him with WMI, and Ghostface just wizzed by us, literally stabbing distance, and rotated the tree before finally noticing us.
-
People mistake camping for a lot of other #########. I just had a game today where a Bubba was patrolling a hook because there were three healthy survivors, two around the hook, and the other opening the exit further from the feud... And no he didn't have NoED.
In that instance, he's just trying to stop the other two survivors from getting the unhook and body blocking there way to the exit (Which they in fact did).
-
Killer.
While I agree solo is hard, it doesn't take too much to be able to black pip at minimum. You can be sacrificed and still pip.
Killer... It takes a lot just to safety pip.

So I've been seeing a lot of topics about Nurse being 'unbalanced' or 'unfair for players', and that she needs a nerf.
Base is fine. Addons could do some adjustments if not reworks.
-
Nurse ignores a lot of the obstacles and maneuvers survivors use to avoid a killer, which can and has been nearly perfected. Nurse, Spirit, and sometimes Billy are basically the only killers viable at the highest ranks, where more often than not are consistant of well put together Survivor teams.
If you know how to counter the team mixed with perfect blinks and jukes, I would say you are a God Nurse.
-
From my play, it seems the survivor has a rough 120° angle to spot GF. Run Spine Chill if you want to get the upper hand and gain some distance while looking for him.
My experience was getting Marked around 4 times, getting hit twice, and knocking him out of stealth around 16 times. Most lf these matches being in Coldwond Farm, mind you. I hardly saw ######### but still knocked him out.

Ruin is a joke, even in the community it is known as a joke. You talk about skill but you can't hit a great skillcheck? The thing with skill in the name? Also Ruin can be destroyed immediately. I've got a video where 4 survivors spawned on my totem, Ruin is a meme stop pretending it does anything. If it does, you're not that stellar sorry.
NOED? Do. The. #########. Totems. It's so easy. There is a perk that tells you where they are, they all spawn in the same spots, on the same select tiles. Survivors don't even need perks to do well, so don't pretend like you can't slot in Small Game to learn spawns.
Nurse's Calling...You're actually complaining about Nurse's Calling? Hear TR? Don't heal. NC got nerfed so only killers with a lower TR/M&A will be able to catch you off guard. You even have Distortion if that's too hard for you to stop holding m1.
BBQ? You mean the perk that was already pretty much just used for extra BP, that was given multiple counters that you whiners STILL aren't happy with and don't use? Hide behind a gen, wait 4s and go a different direction, get in the killer's TR, run Distortion, or hide in a locker. You have that many counters, and you don't want killers to tunnel, but no BBC is a problem.
This is why a lot of killer mains don't take survivors seriously. It's not hard to play and you act like EVERYTHING a killer has is somehow insanely op cuz you refuse to adapt or do the simple things the devs gave you to deal with it. DS was bumped to 5s due to Enduring working on it which is hilarious cuz god forbid we actually have a counter for ANYTHING survivors do. Now Enduring doesn't work on it, so it shouldn't be 5s anymore. That's as the devs put it, "A logical change."
Cleansing for NoED actually rewards you more now, SO GET CLEANING, YOU GENRUSHING HIPPIES.
I'M TIRED OF DOING 3 OUT IF 5 TOTEMS ONLY TO REALIZE NOBODY ELSE DID ANY.As you can see I have gone through this a plethora of times.Ruin isn't even that bad to go against, just stop holding M1 until the gen stops sparking and you can get on your way. Or just get better with skillchecks. And with these garbage totem spots lately, it shouldn't be that hard to find it.
You can afford to stop healing if you hear TR, even though you should have healed much further away ANYWAY. And if you get hit anyway, maybe you should have watched your surroundings instead of just sticking your face in a Z wall by the corner of the map.
I wanna know who's complaining about BBQ, because they... Mmmm... I wanna know how to be that full of #########. 40. Meters. 4. Seconds. Literally, this perk is only used for Bloodpoints. The aura reading is just a minor plus to reward anti-tunneling/anti-camping.
-
All I know is Spirit herself is, in fact, balanced.
To say otherwise is just ignorance towards her mechanics.
Excluding add-ons, her power is very noticable. If you hear her hum, it may be a good call to run or at least hide. If you're eyeing each other down at a pallet, you either run, vault to the husk, or stay.
Just because she can get to point A to B quickly doesn't mean she needs nerfed.
-
Why are you trying so hard to kill stealth? You know,Im just curious.
Yes, I'm All Ears would counter Dance with Me/Quick and Quiet/Lithe combo, but if you're running three perks for a little bit of stealth...
...Let's just say a niche counters a niche.
