@Tricksters_Wife I actually have seen a clip of survivor being stealthy around a gen which was just kicked by the killer who was sticking around and the survivor was tapping the gen to not make repair noise. NGL this was pretty cool and I don't have problem with it, but mid-chase tapping is stupid.
And it is super illogical that gens take 0 damage on initial kick :P. Well... back in the day gens couldn't be regressed or kicked so let's be glad we have what we have now, but it could be better and more fair/logical.

I think that just adding 50 auric cells for reaching Iridescent Grade 1 would work fine.
Max 100 auric cells perk month so it's not big amount, but over time it will build up for free skin or dlc. Most people would actually end up buying more auric cells, because they already have some and want that beloved skin faster. And people would actually really try to reach and stay on Grade 1 Iri for a premium currency, no matter how small the amount. Keys would need a nerf though (just add 5 seconds hatch opening action, like opening a chest).
Or give people shards. Bloodpoints are really not an issue with WGLFE, BBQ, all the offerings and challanges being avaible. Even Tutorial gives ######### tons of points.
Edit: I mean, I'm happy we get anything, let's not cry for now and see where devs are going with it.
-
If you DC against killer who does anything you don't like... YOU HELP THE KILLER.
Don't like something? Start penalizing it. Run Kindred and just watch and laugh at them being genrushed. Same goes for DS or Small Game if you don't like noed.
You have tools, use them.
-
The words that are consored are baffling, often not being even near a slur.
-
I think this would be actually a big hit to the perk (hell I miss old tinkerer just buffing addons). I would put a cooldown on gens, each generator being able to proc tinkerer only once like a minute or two.
Someone does watch Scott Jund :).
-
@TheGannMan Because survivor mains cry louder than people who play both sides. I'm not even joking, remember the patch when flashlight didn't need timing and ALWAYS resulted in save?
-
I don't know if it's matchmaking, but on both sides I very often see letting people reach second stage of sacrfice without killer even being there (as person who always has Kindred on it's just painful to watch...) and a massive increase of keys being brought in. Like way, way more often than before.
When it comes to matchmaking I can't really tell, because I have a lot of games when I will trade hooks for someone close to dying when I wasn't hooked yet... just to die on my first hook with Kindred on so I can see why I often see potato survivors in my team... but as killer it is ALWAYS one of these three:
- 1 really good looper (who I will ignore most of the time), 2 people who have no idea what is going on and 4th person who is there for the memes.
- 2 people, obviously in swf with only meta perks either bringing keys with Haddonfield offering (seriously, played against this setup 5 times today) or last second switching to flashlight with 2 other randos who seem to be matched well.
- Weird players who kind of genrush, literally letting people die on the hooks when I'm not even there, but who fall for the basic mindgame 95% of times and end up dcing or killing themselves on the hook.
-
Spirit - results of a Nurse with way, way lower skill required.
Freddy - game delay for just existing. I miss old Freddy, it was very interesting concept for a killer.
-
The only thing you don't have access to in custom is killer's power. All the new perks are there to test out.
Wanna use killer, buy dlc. Half of them can be bought with shards.
-
Just hold the box hostage and solve it when he is carrying or trying to zone the hook. Bye bye chain hunt :)
-
@NekoTorvic I think your attitude is not that good. Yeah sure, you can leave and good luck in general, but this game is arcade at best with all the randomness, different maps, perks and abilities. People try to treat it like it's competetive, but it's just wrong. Makes no sense :). This doesn't mean devs should try reaching balance though.
-
@justbecause Devs made it that killer see survivors and not the other way around. Imagine seeing stealth killer and removing him by equipping spine chill. The most bs argument you could have made <3.
-
@justbecause Now turn this around. Maybe new killer didn't want to deal with full flashlight lobby? Oh? What's that? Double standards?
-
@Freddy96 It's to prevent eventual ds or sabo at the very end. Nothing less, nothing more.
@Aven_Fallen @xenotimebong It's not about flashlights, it's about last second switching, especially when they know they are most likely going to face newbie killer. Wanna bring item? Cool, bring 4keys, map offering, mist and hatch spawn offering, but killer should see what's coming and be able to prepare. Doing this against newbies is just low and actually starts the circle of trying to be toxic to one another.
-
@TicTac I am sure it affects matchmaking due to all the potato survivors I've been seeing today as well. Like 95% sure.
-
You know that grade system is only for the reward, while you get opponnets based on SBMM... right?
-
Can comment on memes, but still can't point out a thing I adressed. Yeah, very mature debating <3.
-
@ImmersedNurse Yes, it's quite telling and sad. So many people finding noed strong is hilarious xD.
-
Bye <3. Don't need a person who throws accusation of me not adressing points, but who can't actually quote what I did not adress. Even a single thing. So yeah. Byeeee.
@Elena "You do realise only a minority run that?" -> "I don't care"
I see a ping while writing something so I respond... and If someone makes a thread to which they don't want to even respond... what's the point??
I really don't care about people who don't use tools which were giving to them for free. And since you do use anti-totem perk it clearly was not directed at you? What did you feel attacked by this if you are not in the group I am poking fun of? Weird.
-
Point a single thing I didn't adress already. Come on.
And if you want to go into swf discussion remove the game, because they get unfair advantage no matter what you change. How does this apply to noed being good/bad perk? Every perk is ######### if you devide things between swf and solo with the difference of noed having specific counters you can run for free.
Edit: Also I mentioned that all you actually have to do is cleanse dulls as you run from objective to objective. It's literally all you have to do.
-
Also you seem to ignore that Small game provied counter of how many totems are in game and literally points in direction of the totem... If we are throwing 'you seem to ignore card'. My precious posts adresses every single of the points you guys made. You have tools, but you refuse to use them. That's about it.
-
@ImmersedNurse If they are so scared about noed? Then using totem perk sounds... I don't know... reasonable?
-
@ImmersedNurse You sound like kind of person who would refuse to cleanse dulls even if old undying was back. It's not my objective, so I don't do it UGH. That's how you sound now I'f me using general perks is sounding like one sided player.
-
@Apollos With Small Game it really is a simple operation. Counterforce + map even easier, because you see no totem aura when lest is finished.
-
Noed gives you one additional hook if it procs, that's it. Then it's cleansed or people leave. If anything else happens you just play against bad survivors or are not too smart yourself. High risk, smoll reward.
Oh yes, using perks avaible without any dlc to counter things you know are common is such a 'play only one side mindset'. :)
-
@ImmersedNurse I don't, because I am literally this one person who actually tries to counter things instead of mindlessly genrushing, 3genning the team or bombing the hook.
-
Ok, just don't cleanse totems, guys, and keep crying about noed. I already made a post how you sound to me when refusing to use tools devs gave you.
-
I play more survivor than killer actually and play swf like once a year so yeah, valid points.
How is cleansing totems unrealistic in solo play? Especially with all the tools survivors have for it? I really don't see where you are coming from.
-
@ImmersedNurse How cleansing totems applies only to swf?
???
-
@Elena I don't care? Survivors have tools to counter literally everything a killer can do, but refuse to use them... It is really not my problem. "I need slots for my 4 meta perks, uga buga!" That's how they sound to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Small Game (which even have counter of totems in game) is a general perk, there is literally no excuse of not running it if you are so scared of Noed. Hate Spirit or any stealth killer? Spine Chill makes them useless and is a general perk as well. Hate being camped? Use Kindred and laught at them loosing... which is general perk, again.
Above all else, you don't need any perk as survivor to counter noed. You run to gen or somewhere and see a dull on the way? Cleanse it. Oh god... so hard...
-
@Phasmamain @ImmersedNurse @GoodBoyKaru
- Doesn't help killer untill the very end
- Can be cleansed
- It's possible it won't even proc, because it's super easy to cleanse all totems with Small Game or Counterforce + map. Also cleansing all 5 prolongs the game by 20 seconds, so yeah...
- Killer can still be looped easily unless it's Nurse, Spirit, Hag or Slinger
- Was nerfed twice already
- Even in solo squad, it takes literally one person with brains to make it useless
How is it a good perk? I dunno, maybe I'm biased, because when I don't like something I actually... bare with me... try to counter it. That's why my standard build is Kindred, Spine Chill, DS and counterforce with map. Oh you're camping me? Enjoying one hook defeat. Oh you tunnel? Enjoy stun and lack of momentum.
-
@ARTRA No, no, no. I can't aree. You have Small Game for this. Right now if you want to prevent noed in soloq it's best to bring either Small Game, or Counterforce with map which can trace totems so you seen the one's near you too. The shear speed buff is good and it's okay that it only gets bigger when YOU cleanse the totems and not other people.
We can't make older perks useless, my dude.
-
It is a casual game due to all the randomness and differences between stuff people can bring into the trial, but for some reason many people do treat it competetively.
-
Update
-
@NekoTorvic In devs minds, having power that is countered by everything means 'being interactive'. I don't really have hope though, because Trickster needed buffs, but they took the buffs literally in the opposite direction. He needed map pressure (which making knives not go away on their own and just be able to be mended away would fix) and some change to no have to tunnel one guy (becuase all the knives put in the person you then abandon and the time it took is basically wasted), so they instead made him even more opressive in 1/1 chases xD. Let's see, maybe something will happen.
-
@SasukeKun I think you are underrating effort they put in here. All the new animations (this killer literally has no animation he shares with any other killer), completely new mechanics for power, every perk tackling new mechanic... In my opinion they did decent job, killer is cool, he is just a bit buggy and simply weak gameplay wise. I still think that removal of his iconic lines is simply stupid though
-
@SasukeKun If you are mentioning his "You opened the box, I came" I kind of agree, it should stay in game. It's iconic and even though I don't like Hellraiser that much it shouldn't be removed just because some 12yo made couple of jokes about it on streams...
-
Glass bead is super strong and usefull, one of my favourite addons in game. It's ok as it is now.
-
@IlliterateGenocide This is a weird approach tbh, especially that seconds wind is rather weak perk and buffing any healing perk makes it more useless. I don't see a way to buff Second Wind appropriately without making it op though, as it is a free, no time heal after all. Resurgence is guaranteed and has no conditions, but only heals a portion while Second Wind has requirement and even when active, can fail if killer simply tunnels. Higher risk, higher reward, I would leave it as it is, if I'm to be honest.
Edit: Maybe add some kind of mechanic, that will let you fill the meter if you are literally 99% and can't find someone to heal. Maybe finishing a gen (Not repairing full gen, just being on it when it pops) giving 10% of Second WInd meter?
-
@TacitusKilgore @Seraphor I literally adressed your reasoning in the first post and why I think We'll make it better. Do you want to actually try reading it?
-
@Seraphor exactly, basically worse We'll make it.
-
I didn't say good survivor. Just not braindead. Oh stunning him with pallets works against me... maybe I should throw them early? Isn't it like common sense?
-
I used Kindred from the literally first day I was playing. It was OP back in the day when didn't give you any vision, just the allies. Then it got buffed twice and most survivors still don't care - about literally the strongest perk in game.
Killer camps? Boom we do gens and leave. Killer goes specific direction after the hook? Boom, you know it. Killer disappeared while in the range? Boom, you know they have undetectable, propably insidious or tinkerer.
Oh, noone is going for save? I will. Oh, someone is going for save? Let's rush gens...
There's no more underrated perk in game. Unless I go full meme builds it's always in the kit, even in swf.
PS: Fun fact, if you can coordinate, having 3 Kindreds in team is exactly the same as having 4. You're welcome, free slot for your second chance, not too big peepee perk.
-
None. Both maps just look good, but are absolute dogshit when it comes to gameplay. I don't really like dcing when I'm survivor (3/1 in 99% of the times unwinable) so I don't do it... but when I see offerings to either of the map as killer I either camp the person who burned it or just go afk. God damn Hawkings is ten times better than both of these.
Edit: The most bs part about offerings for those maps is fact, that you are guaranteed to get this specific map and are able to prepare for it, while Red Forest for example has two maps - one super survivor sided and the other balanced, which makes the offering okayish.
-
You made goblet OP as it combined his best addons into one with new functionality on top of it. I agree his Ultra Rares are dogshit, but you overswung into opposite direction.
-
You can have the best build in the world and most broken addons - but if you play braindead against not braindead survivors you get genrushed in 4 minutes. And how is this braindead build anyway? Just anti pallet - god windows are still in game, not to mention mind games and stealth or simply throwing pallet early. Ah yes... it does need to think for longer than 3 seconds as a survivor to figure it out...
-
@ad19970 I would slightly disagree. Playing around bt, ds, flashlights and all other seconds chances like soul guard, flip flop into power struggle and such does require a decent amount of skill. Especially to actually get grab and correctly zone survivors.
It is still super ######### boring xD. Survivors, please just do gens and stop killing the guy on the hook...
-
@DieGräfin No, my dude. 90% or more players stop doing anything once someone gets hooked and either crouch around and teabag the killer.
-
@Aven_Fallen Hmm are you aware that stretched resolution does not benefit killer at all? It's just survivor thing that can actually be useful, like seeing over medium height loops and such.
-
@Adjatha Your idea could actually work quite well. Scourge hooks in general havin some effect which would be doubled for basement. It would fit your theme quite nicely, but It might break Leatherface, Huntress and Trickster in some way. I would like to at least see it on PTB to test it out.
