How is this not obvious to understand?
Let me use the word experienced instead of good.
When I say good survivors, I'm referring to survivors who know how to abuse core issues with the game. And that's exactly what the sweatier teams do.
I'm not saying we punish good survivors. There are certain actions that are skillful on their part. The problem is the devs give survivors too much to work with. Survivors can afford to play mind games at various loops because they know there are stronger loops they can rely on if things aren't going their way. And with some maps, the loops are absolutely ridiculous. But you can be sure survivors will take advantage.
"How is this not obvious to understand?"
When its one side deciding what are 'issues' or what 'abusing' the game is. That's where it stops being about balance and more about self catering the game to skill levels.
The fact of the matter is, survivors didn't make the game, they didn't make the perks or mechanics and I think it is laughable that people actually think they shouldn't have used them because killers decided they weren't fair. I'm not going to debate as to whether they were indeed fair or not, but i can all but guarantee, that if killer were suddenly turned into a bot position, every single person who complained about perks, looping, gen times and any other imagined slight the survivors have apparently done to the 'oppressed Killers'...would be using the same things they are screaming about now if they had to play survivor.
I have no issues with the new changes, but i have a huge problem with this massive victim complex people have seemed to have gathered around them, and those same people having influence on how their OPPOSING side should play.
I didn't like it when the devs caved and gutted the nurse because survivors whined (I LOVED playing against nurse)
And I don't like it now, where a good percentage of the killer population are acting like utter d***s because they got what they wanted, while simultaneously calling every survivor braindead, abusers of mechanics and taunting. I mean...were your ego's really that lacking over a forum/game?
TL:DR I have no issues with the current changes, but the general perceived 'victim complex' killers have gained, does not give the licence to act like complete jerks. And if you do anything 'because survivors did this' then you are no better.

I have to confess...I can't play ghost face unless i have a bps offering to make up for the absolute child I turn into when in charge of a character who can constantly teabag!
I do pretty much what a ghostface does on a normal killing spree, but it's all done while teabagging....I swear I can almost see the players looks of confusion as I teabag in hot pursuit across a cornfield for my first sweaty kill!
I also let them escape and don't really bother anyone who isn't interested in memeing, even though it only happens when i have BPS.
I can't help it, I am a massive kid in some circumstances.

No because the game is unfair for killers (when good survivors are involved).
See this is where I hit a brick wall with the killer argument. This statement right here, and it works in reverse when survivors use it against killers, but i mostly see it in killer arguments.
"The game is unfair to killers **when survivors are good**"
So you are saying that players who worked hard to get good at the game...and I'm sorry but that includes using perks/items/offerings as much as a killer depends on theirs....makes it unfair because....they are good at the game?
How is that fair logic that can be reasonably argued?
So the goal is to keep moving the goalposts so that the "Good survivors" aren't winning anymore and you feel better rather than say....killers having difficulties getting better themselves?
Now let me be clear, I very regularly advocate for both sides, I consider other peoples arguments very carefully and I am all for fair play, even if that means drastic changes, like the ones coming, that I will have to adapt to. But i do not get how this type of argument helps killers.
"The survivors are getting too good at the game so we have to change that. What happens if the killers start absolutely dominating, are you seriously going to agree to the same argument if it is in reverse?
I agree balance changes need to be made, but the wording of this statement suggests that even if survivors play their very best, if they play optimally and achieve their goal.....then that isn't fair to the killer. And that's not how games work.

Survivors have been allowed to get out of matches for four years. Maybe the game didn't go their way, they got hooked first so they give up. The killer they're facing is good, quit. Avoid him getting BBQ stacks, quit. QUIT QUIT QUIT. It's been going on for four years. And someone brings up the idea of the killer getting a surrender button and the first thing brought up is how survivors would feel? Four freaking years of quitting out of games and that was fine. Holy damn. Not that I agree with the idea. But that's just ridiculous. The millions of d/c's. You used to have multiple a match.
While I mostly agree with you, please don't make it sound like killers never DC'd because quite a few of us know this to be different. Game isn't going their way...quit, Someone popped your totem, Quit, all 5 gens get done, quit. And while i haven't been here 4 years, it sure as hell has been both sides doing it since I've been around for about two years.
Survivors and killers have been doing it for years, and sure you're going to see more survivors doing it when there are 4 compared to 1, the math is never going to add up to anyone's ratio with that number difference.
Yes survivor opinions can be very self centred, but looking around on these forums and playing in a lot of matches, I can't say the other side is behaving much differently.
Nobody should be leaving the match because things aren't going their way, it's childish and selfish and if it was ever implemented barely any survivor would make it out the exit gates again and no freddy, doctor or legion would get to play a game. Heck I'd also advocate for no hook suicides if there was a way to implement it. As always with both sides, the true gamers would take their losses on the chin and the children would abuse the f**k out of it.

By default, survivors will ALWAYS spawn in either groups of 3 or 4. This way, if they all hop in the nearest generator, they are all hit with the now increased diminishing returns. But, if they want to avoid the penalty, they will have to run away from each other, both wasting time, and increasing the chance of the killer finding them.
Shroud of separation: Is now a survivor offering, and forces all survivor to spawn in groups of 1 or 2.
Shroud of union: Is now a killer offering
Once the new patch comes out, most survivors with half a brain cell will separate anyway, since its quite common for 2 or more survivors to spawn near each other in the first place. Some survivors, like myself, already head off to find a new gen because it just makes sense. Yours is not a terrible idea but honestly pointless given how this patch is going to change things.

It's because this is not a game anymore, it literally became a war. The amount of toxic, biased and stupid people on this planet is just crazy and I always have to SMH because most of the threads and posts here in this forum are plain digital brainless and stupid trash. But sadly it's always the same, the players are the ones that ruin an actually decent game in the end.
I have to agree. It's become a stupid tally system where the war now, is to count up who got the most nerfs / buffs and decide who 'deserves' to win on that. If one side is doing well any given game, well that must be down to some perceived unfairness. It's become less of a game and more of a battle ground for a collective of Digital Karen's who believe they are owed something because they got outplayed and refuse to learn the game, when instead they can just complain bitterly about a certain perk / addon/ item /tactic.
-
You know. As a survivor main (according to some this automatically makes me inherently evil), I sometimes wish I had a meme handy to state "I'm not with stupid" when reading threads like these.
NOED is fine. Whether you consider it a bad perk or not, whether you are a solo survivor or not, it's counter-able, risky to take into game and even when it procs its even easier to counter because it's lit the heck up.
You don't even have to break 5 totems, which seems to be the hot debate being thrown around. Yes it is hard to break 5 in solo, but it's just as easy to stop rushing the gates when someone gets hit, 99% them and go looking for that totem. 80% of the time killers will now camp the NOED victim, giving you ample time to do a search. Totems can be well hidden, but there is a finite amount of places they can be and you can learn their positions just as well as you memorise loops.
Half the team wipes gained by NOED, has been either risky saves, or people have just stuck to the gates when the first guy goes down and are easily found by the patrolling killer if he doesn't camp.
-
Unless you are wearing a Mod or Dev badge, who gets to complain or comment on this forum is quite frankly, none of your business.
The forums are not here to be your echo chamber, whatever side you are on. There is no checklist that you have to meet in order to post here, it is a forum, not a place you have to jump through hoops in order to have an opinion. Of course this doesn't make any given opinion worth looking at, but the fun thing about the forums is you can ignore a post if it isn't relevant.
Attempting to Gate Keep a forum because you don't like the opposing opinions is utterly self indulgent and the silliest thing I've heard all day.

Until killers start going to my steam profile and wishing me a slow and painful death because they had a single bad game. They will never, EVER! be as bad as the survivors.
R*pe threats, death threats, wishing cancer and other incurable diseases....need I go on?
All these from killers to a player who doesn't use a single 'meta perk', key or flashlight (im bad at aiming). Someone who doesn't BM, and is VERY lucky if they get a decent loop. Wanna know what I did to deserve most of this 'non existent killer player nastiness?" I am very good at getting people off hooks safely. That is it. I run perks specifically for good hook saves that aren't in the killers face and don't require the apparently 'crutch perk' BT.
So...I'm afraid that "Until Killers" moment is already here.

You know, part of me almost wishes SWF was turned off for maybe two months. Just so I could see the complaints about the huge wait times and what would replace SWF as "TOTALLY UNFAIR, DEVS BIASED TO SURVIVORS, SURVIVORS OP, KILLERS NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE FUN", I'm pretty sure it'd be something spectacular, maybe it'll be lockers....

That is not a valid argument. Everyone sees the "secret" offering.
And even then, after you mori someone, the other 3 are still alive and playing the game normally.
While a key will suddenly stop the game because all survivors that are left escape in 5 seconds with no room for counterplay.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1207638#Comment_1207638
You can only do a 3gen if the survivors allow it. So yeah... very little skill on their part.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1207745#Comment_1207745
So... you want the killer to play bad? And let the person that can end the game sooner alive when there's 1 or 2 gen left?
If you bring such a powerful item, you better be ready to survive.
What you want, is like asking survivors to unhook in front of bubba. An objectively bad play.
Please point out where in my post I Specifically said I wanted killers to play bad.
If a killer tunnels a key bearer, that is fair and square, tactically it makes sense. Most killers do it and most survivors expect it. So please, don't assume what I want based on how you want me to look, which i assume is "Classic entitled survivor"
I simply look at things objectively, and in an environment where we have hatch challenges appear in the rift survivors should still have the chance of finding a key.
Once again, personally I'd rather be rid of both keys and Mori's, but until then, if one stays, so should the other. Just my opinion as it is. No 'ulterior motives' intended, so please don't put words in my mouth to further your argument.
-
Sorry but as long as killers choose to tunnel the ever living heck out of people who have a key in the lobby, then chests should have the potential of keys.
Personally i don't use them, and I'd prefer to see both keys and ebonies gone. But until then, keys in chests should stay.

Yes its cheating using comms in a game not designed for it it wasn't put in until the devs were bullied into putting it in you must be one of scrub survivors that depends on comms to wins must suck to need such a big crutch
That's the best you have? Ignore the facts and blindly push on with an untruth and insult someone because they don't agree with you? Hah, yeah Imma peace out on this particular argument. I wish you luck in your attempts at getting every SWF comm user banned. Let me know how that goes for you.

@elvangulley said:
If survivors cant play the game without cheating on comms they shouldn't play at all i say bye to anybody that would quit we dont need cheats in this game
Just because you don't like it, doesn't make it a cheat. I mean you can keep calling it a cheat till you are blue in the face but nobody is going to be banned for it because it is not a cheat, ergo not a bannable offence.
You can say the sky is lime green over and over with utter conviction, ain't gonna change the sky green. Devs have said repeatedly that using comms is not cheating. They have refused to ban people for using comms multiple times sooooo....you know, keep on pushing that 'cheat' thing i guess, in a time when all games have some form of in game comms....I'm sure you'll get there eventually...maybe..

I dont think you can understand how in a 4v1 situation how unfair it is to be able to communicate at all times. No matter how good a player you can be. 4 people who can say when you are chasing them to rush gens or say hey he gone get me off hook. Or say hey I'm across the map heal me. You can state perks like bond to cherry pick your argument against me but these are perks that take slots away from you.
So by this statement, you are either trying to say that nobody has ever played a 4 v 1 SWF and can't possibly understand, or they have played 4 v 1 SWF, but their opinions are invalid if they don't match yours?
I'm not going to get into the debate of SWF, i'm just going to point out that whatever else DBD is, it is a business. And it would be bad business to invade peoples privacy, stop them from using coms and suddenly penalise a lot of players for daring to play in an SWF, an option the devs themselves implemented.
Balance changes are coming, but the call of "NERF THE HELL OUT OF THEM" is unrealistic, selfish and not at all thinking about balance. SWF's exist, we have all faced them. Some can be beaten, some can't. That's how a game works. Killer is always stressful, but unless you want to switch to playing against bots, it will always be stressful, because thats the other side of playing with actual people, they can be unpredictable, and they can eventually learn to play the game to their advantage.
I'm all for balance changes, but when people suggest, ban this and nerf that with no payoff to the side you want nerfed, you aren't talking balance, you're asking for another advantage.

No I am the same. I never bring in either one myself.
But if I find one and come across the hatch I'll take it. But I won't change my gameplay to do it. Just happens by accident.
I did find a pink key and a purple key in the same match once running plounderers. Showed my teammate the purple and kept the pink. Didn't need em tho. We got out the exit gates at the end. Just put it back in my inventory
I have so many keys sitting in my characters at the moment because I just don't bring them in. If I find one in a chest and stumble on the hatch then groovy. But I won't go looking for a hatch unless I'm last in game, and even then I'll do my damn best to rescue the next to last survivor. I don't think keys are either bad or great, but I just treat them like a circumstantial tool that might come in handy, rather than positioning my entire strategy of the game around it.

Red ranks, now, we're talking about red ranks. I want it to stop 5-minute games/unwinnable killer games from happening. Currently, the killer can see the medkits, flashlights, etc but they haven't the slightest clue what rarity or add-ons they're using. So essentially right now, seeing items in a lobby does nothing. If you pick a weak-average killer and the survivors bring OP stuff, oh well, you lose no matter what. If you don't bring that much gen defense because you think they're being a brown toolboxes instead of purple ones, oh well, you get a 5-minute game and lose. It's the survivors' game to lose. They can just choose whether they want to win or not. Maybe if gen speed wasn't ludicrous, the game wouldn't be like this.
Sorry but that's not an excuse. Survivors get NO indication of what they are about to face until they are in the game. They could be facing a pair of brown addons or a pair of pinks and a Mori. They don't know if they are going to face a camper or a slugger, and if they don't bring the right perks, well tough luck. It works both ways. And I have seen and been in enough games as both sides to know that it isn't always that survivors are in the power role.
You are essentially asking for something you would never agree to the survivors having for reasons that could be turned around and quoted back at you. The old argument of 'survivors are the power role' is wearing pretty thin of late. Survivors are in the process of being balanced, quite a bit over the last few patches. And I'm fine with that. But it seems like always its a case of give an inch and then demand a mile and it's just silly.
Out of curiosity @Peanits Is this a feature the devs would consider or have considered implementing into the game?
-
@danielmaster87 said:

Because they can take it. Instead of all survivors bringing OP stuff that the killer has no idea about, it will force them to sparingly use OP stuff. Like they'll have a green toolbox with BNP but no other OP items as to not bait the killer into bringing a mori. Even without any items, survivors can escape easily, so it's not game breaking like you make it sound.
So you basically want it to stop survivors using Items/Addons that are part of the game, have been nerfed and which players have spent their own BP on?

How can i fully prepare when i m already loading into a game?
By prepare, i mean you know there is a mori in the game, so prepare to play a little more cautiously? At least most players I know get a whole lot more careful when they know a mori is in play. Chances are it's an ebony mori and players think twice about risky plays. I'm not sure what you thought I meant..

What i mean is in a game if i have thana the second a survivor is hit everyone know i have thana its the same for devour of hope when i have 3 stack etc... survivor dont need to guess which perk i have the game tell them its the same with some addon
Like I said, even without the HUD display, which wasn't around when I started playing, It was fairly easy to guess. Someone gets hit and the gens go slower....Thana, Killer is running away from the hook right away without stopping to check for survivors or seek out an aura on BBQ....probably a devour hope user who wants to get away from the hook asap so they can get their stack.
Addons have their tell tale signs too.

That's would kill hex perks altogether. If they know it's Plague, they won't bring medkits. Survivors seeing what the killer has would kill the role.
So why can't the same be said for the other role?
-
@batax90 said:
What killer need to be able to see are the survivor perk just like the survivor are able to see the killer perk in a match and it should be the same for the addon
The only time anybody see's the opposing side's perks, is when the game is over. Killer perks are hidden, even to a dead survivor, until the game is finished. If you are talking about guessing the killers perks due to their actions in game, I believe Killers have just as much opportunity to do the same. If you have an Issue with the HuD design giving away perks, that's on the devs, though even without it, most can be guessed because even Killers have their meta and if you play long enough you start to recognise playstyles of various perks being used.
If you want to know your opponents perks and addons before you start a game, you don't want to play DBD, you want to play a single player game where catering the game to yourself doesn't royally screw over 4 other players. I'm all for balance and killers not being frustrated, but this is a ridiculous and utterly selfish ask.

@Fibijean said:
I'd just like to add to the above that slugging is overrated as a method of applying pressure. What I mean by that is that slugging every time you down someone is more likely to lose you the game than win it. If you can get another down by slugging, by all means go for it, but it's a strategy that needs to be employed strategically and requires a lot of game awareness to do right, such that it actually does work to increase pressure and doesn't just waste your time.
A much more reliable way of applying pressure after you've downed a survivor is hooking them. Not only will this get you closer to the best means of applying pressure (kills) in a way that slugging will not, but it is also, for that reason, a far better way of compelling survivors to get off generators and go for the save.
As a survivor main, I can tell you that most of the time when someone is downed, I ignore it, because I assume the killer is hanging around nearby or about to pick them up and it would be too dangerous. Plus, it's possible that they have Unbreakable and will get themselves up. If the person is lying on the ground for maybe 20 seconds or more, and/or the killer is clearly in a chase with someone else, then I might consider going to pick them up. If they were hooked, I would know that they can't rescue themselves, the killer is probably not hanging around near them, and it could seriously hurt my chances of survival if I ignore them and let them die, so I am much more likely to get off my generator sooner and go save them in that situation. Basically, from the survivor perspective, a hooked teammate feels a lot more threatening than a downed one does, and that's what pressure is all about - making the survivors feel threatened.
Have to agree here for much the same reason. If someone isn't picked up fairly soon after they are downed, I'm going to assume they are bait unless my empathy shows that the killer is chasing someone else, and if that chase is too close to the downed survivor, I'm staying where I am. I don't feed slugging anymore than I would feed Camping.
If someone is on the hook, I am far more likely to stop what I'm doing to go help.

@sulaiman said:
But still, if you dont know its an SWF, you can bring perks like hex:the third seal or knockout that are useless against swf.
Some solution should be found here.
I'm sorry but why?
Killers lobbied very hard for their perks to be hidden until everyone in the match was dead, they did not think it was fair that the survivors who died could relay info on the killers perks that could make them adjust their gameplay accordingly. And I've always whole heatedly agreed with it because neither side should have any more information than they currently have.
Now you are asking for information on survivors that would allow you to adjust your gameplay accordingly?
And even if it could be persuaded that killers deserve this, it would be massively abused. If you put an SWF indicator at the start of the game two things will happen. Killers will dodge the f**k out of SWF lobbies, and survivors will go back to lobby dodging separately to end up in the same team. Why would the Devs add a function that would cause known issues in lobbies that are already having issues?

There should be something that would let survivors know of mori
To be fair 99% of secret killer offerings in games are covering mori's, so it's fairly easy to tell. If you see a hidden killer offering, prepare yourself for a mori game. At worst you're wrong and you played a little more cautiously, at best you played a little mor cautiously and made it harder for the killer to get momentum.
-
Pretty sure that killer perks were covered for dead survivors so that they couldn't relay perk info to the team, because killers said, rather vehemently, that it wasn't fair. Which it wasn't.
So why should you get all that info 4 times over for nothing?

The easiest mind set to have is to keep telling yourself that it is just a game and that everyone loses some matches. The ranking system is unfair and it really isn't worth ranking up, but inevitably you will rank up so reminding yourself that everything will be fine and that one loss doesn't mean anything will be a life saver. If you ever reach a boiling point where you feel you want to rage quit, take a break, do something else for a while and come back refreshed with a new attitude
This is pretty much the same advice I would give. It's okay to be competitive, but when a game gets to the point of making you angry, it sort of defeats the purpose of playing. Be competitive, but remember it is a game, you will lose some, you will win some and you'll learn new tricks every game. And it's okay to put the controller down once in a while.
-
Dear Killers. It's okay. Mori is an Offering in the game. You are ALLOWED to use it despite what anyone says. You don't need to make a new "If survivors do this" rule every week in order to feel justified in using it.
-
Using a perk designed by the game is not toxic, not matter how annoying it is.
The rest of the stuff. Standard childish behaviour. I'm one of the people that turned off their messages because of the god awful threats I used to get from both sides. It's the only thing you can do unless you can just ignore the trash talk. It shouldn't be like that, but unfortunately it is and most of us just have to find a way to deal with the real toxic crap. Either by working through it, ignoring the toxicity to not give them a reaction, or just turn your messages off.
Not a great set of choices, but presently it's all we have.
-
Sorry but no. Either your internet is terrible to be kicked off that many times in a time period, which means the game is unplayable for you anyway, or you aren't telling the whole truth. You have to do a LOT of disconnecting to get a 48h ban, which again means either you can't play anyway because your internet is bad, or you keep doing it on purpose.
The ban isn't just there for killers. It's there for the survivors who got fed up with 1 - 3 team mates DC'ing in 8 out of every ten matches. If you want someone to blame, blame the people who abused the old system when the devs tried giving people the benefit of the doubt and treated us like adults. Now we get bans because as it turned out, people weren't very grown up about being allowed to DC a certain percentage of games without consequence.

I don't dare use DS, BT, Adrenaline or anything like that because that's apparently (According to several posts and in game actions) reason enough to be considered toxic and worthy of being tunnelled out of the game. I just want time to figure out what perks won't offend anyone a few months down the line when this seasons hottest 'nerf ticket' comes into fashion.
Thanks! :)

Thanks for the replies guys. While I'd love to play the game with better fps, perhaps waiting might be a good idea. If I had only just a few characters i wouldn't mind, but I have pretty much every killer aside from clown. If there is even the idea of crossplay floating around it may indeed be a better option to see where that goes.
I'd be fine with starting again as a noob against noobs, but really not up for spending a fair bit of money and time getting my roster back.

I teabag to greet players. To thank players. I don't do it to the killer at gates, i prefer to drop my item and spin, especially if they're just letting me go. I may teabag under the hook if its endgame and i know I won't win or more than 1 person DC'd and i think the killer deserves the hook for being d***ed over.
Mori spamming had no other function than to p**s people of for whatever arbitrary reason the killer made up. And before it's said "You were probably being toxic" I suck at looping, I don't use meta perks because my ambulance build suits my playstyle to the ground. I don't bring keys and I don't hook swarm.
And yet I'd still get Mori spammed. So to sum it up. F**k no.

Oh for goodness sake, this is stupid. You get a decent quality of life buff and your reaction is to come on here and try to antagonise people? What's the point? Most of us really don't care. The game changes back and forth so often we've all gotten used to adapting to whatever comes next. No big deal.

That isn't what OP was asking though.
Yeah. Nobody is yelling BOO HISS TO THE NEW NERFS in this post. They are simply asking why a mechanic implemented and left in the game for years, is now suddenly being called an exploit by the people who made them. Language does matter when its an official capacity, especially in this community where people will grasp at anything to shove in the opposing sides face to prove a point.

Probably because "Super powerful, unmindgamable window that every Survivor knows they are incredibly safe using." took up more space.
Regardless of whether it was super powerful or unmindgameable , and I do not disagree, the survivors didn't design them, nor did they leave them in game for years. The question here isn't whether they should have been nerfed or why they were nerfed. Its about why they are now being called exploits when they certainly weren't for years. I ignore either side calling each others mechanics exploits, but when the devs do it out of the blue, to a mechanic they designed and left in the game, it has an impact and implies people have been cheating by using the game as it was given to them.

Hard to say, that phrasing confused me too. For exactly the reason you have just outlined. I have no issues with the proposed changes, but should we now start worrying that anything in the game design that we use is now going to qualify as an exploit? Doesn't exactly help survivor/killer relations when even the devs are telling us that using design they implemented and only now just changed, is now exploiting.
I'd be quite interested in the reasoning for this language being used in the patch notes @Peanits

The forums are known for being killer sided. There are a bunch of smurf accounts that try to bait and interrupt serious discussions with inappropriate comments too. Just ignore the haters and share love!!! <3
I love your forum name!
@toxicnancymain Honestly people on this forum have gotten so used to feeding on each others hate that it's actually quite sad. I take regular breaks from this place because I'm genuinely just not a hateful person and it often shocks me just how nasty people are to each other because they have the anonymity of the internet to protect them.
Just be better than that. It's the only thing you can do

And yet it's still a "hold M1" game for survivor mains. It's uninteresting. You go through gens way too fast. You rush. You make the game boring for the killer. You don't have empathy for your opposition, it's not sportsmanlike. Saying "gg" to compensate to make yourself feel better isn't a good plan. Have respect for people, play the game reasonably. If you had done that, maybe these changes wouldn't be so necessary. Survivor gameplay is way too easy. I hover between red and purple ranks (because sometimes good killers have their day) and it's fine to take the L. But when everyone just rushes each gen and the killer never even finds anyone? That's not fun. You don't get chases, you don't get unhooks, can't really drop pallets for any reason, it's boring. Do you enjoy boring games that much? Survivors are pretty OP, they have so many perks that can just punish the killer's mistakes EASILY and EFFECTIVELY. They're even throwing in buffs for two survivor perks into this update to compensate but that's not enough for mains. Lol...
It is the KILLERS job to find people. It is the survivors job to do gens. Gen times being to short is down to the devs, they made them that way, survivors simply adapted to be efficient at it. If a killer doesn't find someone its on them, unless you think 'fair' is survivors jumping into them middle of the map, waving jazz hands and screaming "I'm over here!"
Is that what "Empathy to the killer" means. Are we supposed to sit on our butts and give killers a 2 minute head start to achieve that blessed status?
Also the two 'buffs' to the perks are simply to bring them in line with the new gen speeds.
I have no problem with the gen speeds being changed, or anything else for that matter, games adapt and so will I. But the petty viciousness been thrown around by both sides due to this change coming, is f***ing incredible, since it's apparently coming from a bunch of supposed adults.
Stop blaming each other for playing the game the way it was presented to them by the dev team. It's literally stupid.

Its people like that make me not want to associate with Killer Mains on here.
Don't take stuff like this as gospel for all killers. This is just an edgelord swinging his E-peen around because they think all the other killers will come in here and agree with them under the current climate. Its the internet equivalent of "Nyah Nyah" and is honestly both funny and sad at the same time. I'll be interested to see how this effects the game, hopefully for the better, but too soon to tell. Most of us will adapt i should imagine. Letthe children think its punishment or retribution if it fits their fantasy, and just move on.

everyone who has responded more or less have been trying to rag on my ideology cause of how i feel about the game my rank dont matter my skills do while not polished does not matter i dont care what others say i made this post for the sake of taking comms into consideration not to have a petty argument or people trying to defend surviors rights to come cause ur a survivor main i dont care who what where when why the fact is its a 3rd party device be it console comms or discord or other forms of communication im not asking for a rewrite of the game i dont care if ur solo or u think ur rank matters
I ONLY ASKED FOR 3RD PARTY COMMS TO BE CONSIDERED IN GAME BALANCING
do not respond to this post do not think ur entitled to defend ur opinion if u already posted i made this post as a suggestion and i do not care about ur butt hurt feelings of entitlement
AGAIN DO NOT RESPOND I WONT BE VIEWING THIS POST ANYMORE... that means for self centered entitled plebs ur opinions will be ignored
Soooo you're throwing a huff because people are pointing out the truth? At the end of the day perhaps voice coms should be taken under consideration, but not by means of punishing players for using a function that is allowed and not considered cheating. Unfortunatly you buried your point in untrue accusations of players abusing the game by simply playing it the way it has been handed to them. Survivors don't make the perks or the rules. So it makes it difficult for anyone to take the topic seriously because all they see is another killer accusing them of abusing mechanics by simply playing the game.
Pointing out the truth of your ideology is not 'ragging' on you. It's simply refusing to be told that using in game mechanics not abuse.
If there is anything petty or butthurt about this thread....then I'm sad to say it is this post.

Nah survivors are definitely more self entitled than killers but not by much. I've tried my best to understand survivors' point of view but i can't get around it. and i'm rank 4 survivor btw
I think the first step to understanding is noting that 'survivors' aren't a single entity. There are always different opinions and some of them even unbiased. Unfortunately its always the efforts of the blatantly biased that are adopted as the entire population's point of view. It makes a decent dialogue about things like balance, really hard when generalisations such as "Babies" "Entitled" and "Dev bias" get thrown around, even when a differing point of view is well articulated and not full of whining.

OH BOI i cannot wait for these changes and now survivors are really showing their true colours. Please all survivor mains complain right here i want to see more of it. To all survivor mains with some decency thank you truly
Lets be honest here. Both are as bad as each other. If the survivors had just been given a couple of good QOL buff and killers got buffs to perks to accommodate the survivor buffs, killers would be losing their s**t to.
Now personally I am not bothered about the changes, I'll adapt as I always do. I do look at problems from both sides and do my best to remain unbiased. But i could go back on many pages of the forums and run out of fingers when it comes to killer outrage posts.

Shhhhh. I don't think that bit of reality is allowed to exist here ;)
*Hands @I_am_Negan a pitch fork*
Remember the lines "Survivors....boo...hiss"
At the end of the day people whine. It just seems convenient to disregard that when convenient. For both sides.

Meh, my usual way of thinking is whether it affects my game play or not, I will adapt as I have with every other nerf / buff.
