Crossplay turned on and I'm immediately outmatched by all of my games.

I sincerely love it. Like, yes, please make the game harder. I LOVE IT.

Plus, when I 4k a team of red ranks as bubba I feel extra accomplished. :D

My point is that the amount of fun I have in dbd has been impacted very little by all the recent hiccups. If I encounter something extra bad, I just take a break.

And then it's like it's not even happening~

    1. Your username speaks 100 percent truth!!
    2. I agree on taking a break. Hence why i have. The only reason i come to the forums still is to keep an eye on things and maybe jump back in once things have settled down.

XO I'm sorry to hear that it's always been this way. I was hoping it was a recent turn of events. HUGS Come back and suffer along side us!

I can handle game bugs, bugs are bugs and they happen.

    but this...

this is actually half-planned and deliberate. A bug happens. No big. This is not a bug - it's poor thinking and execution in spades and absolutely should NOT be happening. Ever.

I got a shiny new laptop, was actually considering getting the game on pc, actually got excited when i found out cross progression might well happen....but nope. And I refuse to pay more money just for the privilege to play on something that doesn't have an FPS powered by an arthritic hamster. (Seriously i have all but 3 killers and a good chunk of survivors)

I hold out hope that ######### will eventually be gotten together, but that might mostly be my love for the game making me optimistic.

As someone who plays on both PS4 and PC. I think your overestimating PC players by a long shot.

Most of my friends so far are unimpressed with the crossplay. They see even more of the less than skilled players. Assuming there all console players is a joke 🤣

The only killers who really get a buff between PC and console are Nurse, Clown, Huntress, Plague, Slinger, and Legion.

Enjoy that superiority complex you got going though.

Worded it better than i could.

...until you can get your act together.

Honest to goodness I've not seen so many ClusterF's done by one company in such a short period of time it must break some kind of record.

You launch something half-arsed. Unlaunch it, re-launch it. Launch something else that's not ready - unlaunch it too soon. Launch something new.

Holy Christ on toast that's simply insane.

You wonder why you have hackers? It should be painfully obvious why you do.

    Just stop.

    Think.

    Plan.

    Test.

    Retest.

Or maybe the reason it's done this way is you're the type that loves chaos and toxicicity?

    In which case.

Hats tipped to you - Well done! XO Mission accomplished in spades.

    LMAO

And if anyone thinks I'm being harsh right now. Understand I'm literally laughing my head off because it's accurate and it is quite hilarious what a bloody disaster this has been the last couple months I've been around. I wonder if it's always been this way.

    Wow.

    Holy cow.

    #########

    LMAO.

You just underlined why I haven't played in months. Every time the dust settles on one issue, another cloud arises.

It's not an attack, it's factual. There is literally nothing to complain about with survivor crossplay, so people make up reasons.

And where is the basis of this 'factual' data? Are you in possession of everyone else's gaming experience, or have you in fact just made a generalized statement, ignoring issue that others have posted while adding the stock 'Crybaby survivor mains' insult?

At the end of the day, everyone's experiences seem to differ, and honestly who cares if they play crossplay or not? Some will choose to, some won't, why do the latter deserve a personal attack because they choose not to for whatever reason? It boggles the mind as to how many silly reasons people jump on in order to insult the other side.

  • @woundcowboy said:

Yea Pc vs console makes literally no difference for survivors. The mobility and mindgames are the same. This is yet another thing for entitled survivor mains to whine about.

Ahhh, so the new 'thing' is attacking people for not wanting to engage in cross play. Yeah that'll encourage people to try it out.

No read again. If he had flashlights any other time no problem. He could have left he was right there.

And you could have turned your back?

Don't get me wrong i commend you for not pulling a d**k move on a player that's bugged, I'd do the same. But I'm confused as to why you seem surprised that they then carried on with their objectives, such as gens. Flashlights at the gate are crummy, I've faced a few, but I've never felt the need to play toxic after or post about it.

When crap like that happens you have a choice I guess. I could indeed use it as an excuse to play toxic myself, or i can just judge them for the childish idiots they are and move on. Both are reasonable responses, but i know which one I'd prefer.w

  • Thank you to the Bubba who walked away and let me have a chance when i spawned 2 feet away from him at the start of a match. I did not mind dying that day.

Thank you to the first ever ghost face i met who made the game a huge, hilarious meme fest ending with a 4 man slug race at the exit gate. I still watch him stream from time to time and loved the video you made of us all.

Thank you to the nurse (still a good friend to this day) who didn't slaughter us right away even when we offered ourselves up when two other team members DC'd after getting caught within half a minute! (He also took the time to teach me nurse)

Thank you to the devs who, despite having to work from home, pulled off a 3 week BP event to encourage people to stay inside. You had no obligation to do so and it was appreciated.

  • @WARW0LF said:

DC will always be a thing until they address why people are DC, stupid OP killer addons, terrible map design and nurse and spirit, i find these acceptable reasons to DC and when someone does, my thoughts aren't hate, it's understanding, i'll go too, np

The problem with this idea is that both sides will DC for absoloutely anything. So for Devs to actually get rid of all the reasons why people DC, which includes getting found/hit first, having two gens pop because you spent 2 mins chasing one person, don't like the map, don't like the killer. survivors are about to win e.t.c, they would have to dismantle the entire game, pack up and go home.

Both sides are NEVER going to agree on what should or shouldn't be taken out of the game, because both sides will mostly lobby for their own side and describe everything from the other side as "A reason to DC"

You proved my point here by only mentioning things on the killer side.

  • I mean, you're entitled to your opinion, but personally when i hear that roar and see him thundering across the map with the intent of turning me into survivor jam, I'm plenty fkn scared!

i can’t tell how how much I agree with this post, like what else are survivors gonna do to get out , try to break the gate? Use a shovel to dig out?

Can the shovel play the 'Great Escape' theme tune while you do?

Honestly, while there are a 'few' dedicated 'ignore everything else including solos on hook' types, Gen rushing is pretty much survivors doing their main objective effectively. The term gets thrown around sometimes (not always) as an excuse as to why someone lost the game and occasionally as a slur at survivors who dared to complete their objective quickly.

I always found the latter odd when i ran into so many Mori games....

Getting the hatch isn't really winning, the killer still won the match.

If a survivor feels the need to BM for jumping into a hole, i presume they feel they won something? A win is subjective in this case, which is why you see so many "what do you consider a win?" posts.

I mean if you want to argue semantics that's cool I guess, I merely answered your question dude.

  • @TheLastGreatStar said:

Every single killer in the game is strong in the right hands, it all comes down to personal preference. I don’t touch Spirit as I don’t like her play style. Michael, Deathslinger, Clown, Legion and Pyramid Head are my mains.

People are too quick to call certain killers ‘weak’ when they’re not. Clown is always put at the bottom of tier lists but I do well as him and I’ve also faced Clowns who had no problem wiping out my lobby.

This. Too many people confuse 'takes practice', with 'not strong'.

I sucked big time when i first started playing with hag, because i did the usual strategy of just trapping the hell out of hooks, gens and pallets. Time after time i got my butt kicked. So i pumped more time into practicing, used my knowledge as a survivor to predict where people would run to and learned how to fake out at loops to end the merry go round. I varied my perk selections and FINALLY i was getting 3-4 k's most games, and the teams i did loose to were pretty good and deserved their wins.

At the end of the day if people just want to jump on an easier to use killer, that's perfectly fine, some people don't have the time or patience to deal with all the losses that come with learning a slightly more difficult killer. Nothing wrong with it. But as stated here already, ANY killer has the potential to be a powerhouse if enough effort is applied.

And yes, i've died at the hands of plenty of decent clown players who have utterly wiped the floor with my teams corpses.

It sucks to drag out a more nuanced killer into public matches knowing you might well suck to begin with, and yeah toxic tits don't make it any easier. But the more you play, the more you learn and it's just oh so much more satisfying when you wreck a team with something uncommon.

  • Probably for the same reason killers drop survivors in front of the hatch then shut it in their faces?

People sometimes feel the need to gloat for winning, its nothing new in gaming and its definitely not one sided.

  • @MalEducado said:

If a survivor need to genrush, it means that the survivor is a noob ... It's not necessary to rush gens for winning ...

Every time i read comments like this, a few of my brain cells die out of sheer protest. Nobody, not even killers (unless they are spending time setting up) is going to 'hold back' on their objective for cool points. I see a gen in front of me , i'm going to do that gen. If as a killer, i'm lucky enough to get a chance to snowball fast and furious, then that's what I'll do. As the OP stated, this thread is not for bashing either side, a point you seem to have missed with your stock "Grrr. Survivors Noobs because, reason No.55"

If doing any task efficiently means you are a noob just because you could complete that task in a less efficient way, yeah i'll go ahead and wear my noob cap thanks!

As for the hows and why's, well someone has already provided a pretty in depth guide. Sometimes it takes a perfect set of happy accidents, other times it's a swat team with dedicated perks, tools and a runner to entertain you while they work away. Add the fact that changes were already made to the start game, which made splitting up on separate gens the smarter idea.

  • Yea i'm not subbing to watch this video, also i don't believe the forum rules allow for posting up other players profiles, i suggest you remove them from the post.

If you have a complaint or suspect cheating, you need to go through the proper channels.

  • @BigTimeGamer said:

Ya know, if survivors cant change items/perks etc after hitting Search, then I would Okay with this somewhat

As a mostly survivor player I'd be okay with this too. Makes very little sense to lock the killers and not the survivors. At the end of the day if you didn't prep the right perks and items beforehand, that's on you. Would save killers the pain of last second switch survivors.

This is how I approach solo.

I like to be altruistic and run “medic” builds, but never at the expense of being a greedy, reckless farmer.

    BUT...

I am a petty #########, and will hold a grudge. If I there are any terrible teammates being intentional jerks or sandbaggers (there’s a difference between understandably leaving me on the hook because of NOED, and ignoring me despite Kindred or tapping/spamming unhook just to troll me).

So I take names, and I’ll do things such as if finding them on a hook in a future game, I’ll run up to the hook, point at them, then run off, making a clear point of “once burned, forever scorned”. I’m much more inclined to behave this way if I had previously saved them and healed them/looked out for them, and they were still a total scumbag to me.

I can appreciate this a lot. My 'ambulance' build means I'm literally kitted out to save people quickly and efficiently, i leave the looping and such to those that are better at it. But oh boy, if you screw me or a team mate over you are so very much left in the dust as far as I'm concerned.

I'm altruistic because it's a niche that has worked out well for me and the team I'm playing in. If I'm in SWF, unless stated, they know to carry on with what their doing when someone goes down because the fabulous Jane and her We'll make it / Kindred combo is on the case! It's a little more frustrating when you're solo and can see 3 people running to a hook with the killer still there, even more so when you're on the hook and they can clearly SEE that you are there.

The only time i will abandon you is probably when there is less than a minute left on the EGC and the NOED totem is in a really well hidden place. Then again with roles reversed I'd rather sacrafice on hook than let a 1k game turn into a 4k.

OP, I'm sorry you've been saddled with selfish players, we aren't all jerks but i can understand how that doesn't mean much at the time when you're just tired of being the sacrificial lamb for someone else's team. I'm very much an advocate of treat people how they treat you on a game by game basis, but in reality, there is nothing to say that you 'have' to help people, especially if you're worn down by previous games.

  • @Kellie said:

Instead of adding a penalty, they should look into why players DC.

They can't do that because people DC for EVERYTHING.

Perks, maps, powers, tactics, because im not winning, items, they might be swf, i dont like stealth killers, i dont wanna be morid, that player changed last second.

At some point, nearly every damn aspect of this game has been labelled as 'not fun' and a viable reason to DC in peoples eyes.

As @Reaver_Raziel and @TWiXT have rather elegantly said, people usually DC for petty reasons, and justify it with "I have the right to leave". "You can't force me to stay" conveniently forgetting that it works both ways and the poor buggers you just left in the lurch because you don't like a certain killer or survivor tactic, have a right not to have their time wasted.

The amount of entitlement while simultaneously ignoring the fact that DCing screws over everyone else, is frankly stunning. Digital Karen's everywhere, trying to justify a move that they themselves would likely complain about if their game was going well and their opposition pulled the same stunt on them.

  • Simple answer, yes it is fair.

If both sides were allowed to remove/change every single thing from the other side that they perceived 'unfair' , then this game would be reduced to one killer and one survivor taking it in turns to throw rolled up socks at each other.

And then someone would of course complain that the other side's sock is FAR more aerodynamic.

  • Ok how about this as a compromise then.

You want to be allowed to DC for any game mechanic you perceive to be 'unfair' without being punished for screwing over 4 other players?

    Fair enough.

You are now placed in teams of only survivors and killers that follow your philosophy. Anybody can DC for any purile reason they desire, but they no longer allowed the privilege of playing with people who take the game the way it is presented and roll with the punches.

Now, the only people who have to deal with having to do 5 gens with 3 maybe even 2 survivors, is you. The only people who have to endure working well together and getting the gens done only for the killer to DC, is you. Now it's YOU who has long waits in lobbies only to have someone dc 30 seconds in because this match's setup isn't to their liking.

You're all so gung ho about having the right to leave a match if you don't like how its going, well fair enough everyone is allowed their own playstyle, but now you have to deal with someone else's reasoning of unfair = DC and it doesn't match yours, and if you complain, you're a hypocrite.

Perhaps you do have rights within a game, but if that's true, so do the people you regularly screw over for playing the game in a way that doesn't make you feel good about yourself and if you want the "Right" to DC, and BHVR can't optomize DC penalties, then perhaps the people who don't want to endure this crap game in and game out, should have the right to be separated from Susie survivor and Kevin killer who want to DC because the world wasn't arranged to their liking this time.

Enjoy your DC paradise because honestly, the rest of us would be hugely happy to not be forced into matches where we wonder how we'll be screwed this time.

  • Nothing. Anything derogatory i say in return makes me just as bad. If its particularly nasty, i simply report them, whichever side they are playing.

  • Hag is perfectly fine, when you don't play her in the obvious meme manner of putting 6 traps at the base of a hook.

If you play survivor often or are a killer who is decent at predicting moves you can trap all sorts of places that survivors often run to thinking their safe. Most survivors are smart enough to know to crouch walk to the hook or crouch immediately when they get off the hook, especially when they see you placing the traps right in front of them.

If you play against me as hag, i'll get you when you think you're safe, might even fake draw a few markers around the hook base to make you waste your time getting to and from the hook.

Hag has a LOT of versatility as she is, please don't touch my twiglet, she's the only killer im reasonably decent at!!

  • Oh good grief, are we still having this bullcrap argument?

Doesn't matter whether we like or dislike NOED, whether you think its bad for a killer to use it, it's a perk, and just like any perk we load up, they can use it if they choose.

You don't even have to cleanse all or even one totem while doing gens if you don't want to. Just don't run at the hooked NOED victim, 99% the gates and find the brightly lit totem that ends the issue.

BOTH sides have second chance perks but it seems they are only 'crutch perks' and 'used by bad players' when its the other side using them. And yes, i am aware killers do the same, and my opinion on that is also the same.

  • I don't want to be forced to do 5 gens with only 3 people because someone didn't like map/killer/getting caught/colour of the grass...

Nobody is forcing you to do anything. You have a choice, its just that one of those choices comes with a consequence you don't like.

  • If i'm stupid enough not to rotate my gen positions and end up 3 genned, that's on me and you are doing your job by then patrolling those gens rather than skipping off to an area where you KNOW there will be no action.

It's not camping, and while i loathe being camped, i accept that its a legitimate course of action either way.

Sounds like you met some sore losers who don't wish to admit they fudged up.

    You do you.

  • I'll never forget the day I tried to suicide on hook when a brave but silly jake was determined to get me off the hook with a patrolling NOED Bubba hanging around, while jake had a clear run to follow the rest of the team out of the gate.

It was my first hook and he had some damn near misses. So the next time he got chased away i tried to suicide on hook so he didn't end up on a hook next to me.

At that point, i received my first honest-to-goodness kobe and legged it out the opposite gate.

I don't suicide for needless reasons, but i will if i feel the team are just gonna land themselves in a 4k for the killer by trying to save me.

  • Put quite simply, i have won and lost against both bad and good spirits. I play stealthy, I play her in in our KWF games so i have a broad idea of what the tactics are and I pay attention to certain tells that might alert me to what perks they are using.

Sometimes I will get utterly flattened, either by my own stupidity or because they are pretty damn good at predicting what I'M going to do. Other times i'm out the gate and considering it a good if somewhat tense game.

My experiences may not be your experiences, but frankly, I'll pee my pants over a Zoom Zoom Billy or a gen grab Myers before i worry over a spirit.

  • There have been a couple of conversations broaching the subject. Unfortunately the authors of said posts began shouting "White privilege" when people were not immediately demanding the Claudette face be removed, or while they tried to calmly explain, again, the meaning of intent and the backlash of leaving the skin out.

Hence some people being a bit acerbic about the subject being broached. But as i mentioned, it's clear you are trying to talk about this with a good deal more maturity than previous posts.

  • I've seen this conversation before, although i must say that OP has broached this with FAR more maturity and respect than most people who see fit to declare that anyone who does not agree with them must of course be racist.

The thing is, intent IS a big factor when it comes to the subject of Claudette being used as a leather face cosmetic. Of course there are nasty little cowards who will use the anonymity of the internet to spread stupid hate. I've lost count of the times someone has seen my username and decided that threats of sexual assault are clearly the order of the day. Put quite simply, those people are massive d**ks and should never be used as an example to encompass a whole community.

I'll be honest, I'm usually too busy running the heck away from leatherface to notice much about who's face he's wearing, but the act of wearing claudettes skin was never meant as an act of racism, if anything it would have been branded as racist if they hadn't included it. The intent of the devs was NEVER to be racist. The intent of MOST decent human beings who wear it is NEVER to be racist.

The kind of people who will go out of their way to be degenerate butt hats to people for playing a black character, are not going to stop simply because their accessory got taken away.

I'm not going to advise you to tell your friend to just 'ignore it', i know stuff like that hurts. What i can say is that you or anyone else affected by this, have the power over how much you let them get to you. Report them every damn time they do it, if you are in a team, send multiple reports every damn time. Include the screenshots. Don't respond to them, because what they want more than anything else is that minuscule power of knowing they upset you. Don't give it to them. That doesn't mean you shouldn't get upset at all, that stuff is reactionary, just DON'T give them the power.

Taking away the Claudette skin won't do a damn thing to people like that. Hate will find a way, but its up to the rest of us to give it the middle finger and carry on regardless.

    Just my two pennies...

  • There is only ever a problem with 'Meta' when someone on the opposite side uses it.

Doesn't really matter which side you are on, if you are using a method proven to work then you are (Insert childish name here) and that's about the long and the short of it.

  • Meh, not really sure why you feel you need to justify yourself or your playstyle. Both sides can play however they like, despite the fact that people say this then go ahead and complain about EVERYTHING the opposite side does.

But in the end the moral of the story is this: You do you.

It doesn't get much more complicated than that.

  • I'll say what i said about the idea of swimwear for characters.

I'm game, but only if you scream out loud and leave a brief aura infectious fright style, every time you step on / brush against something sharp in your Lacey negligee , and girls wearing high heels to complete the outfit have a 5% chance to fall and trip while sprinting like they do in all the movies!

  • See, i enjoy the odd 'silly fun' moments with killers who maybe just want a brief break in the murder train to be silly. But I never assume a little points farming is going to end in me escaping, in fact i prefer to let the killer get that third hook.

Don't trust Myers? Don't trust survivors! Here he is thinking you're being all friendly and letting him stalk you when all of a sudden you're running away!

  • They are part of the game so i simply don't worry about it and learn to work around it. At the end of the day we can say, remove this, nerf that, make this an X,Y,Z condition perk, but while there is still a chance of the other side winning, people will have something to complain about no matter how much stuff is changed/nerfed to someones liking.

And yes, it works both ways for both sides.

  • It mystifies me how many survivors think their role is over because they have been slugged. No i agree it isn't 'fun', but you really don't have to lie there and 'take it'. In fact slugging can be just as punishable as camping if you're in the mood for not just lying there.

If im in a group slug on the few occasions i play with friends, we all crawl off in opposite directions. Killer can't follow us all and who knows which one of us might be picked up by player number 4 who's still up.

Killer leaves me out in the open and camps me....well i'm gonna take said killer for a walk, as far away from everyone else as possible. Killer then has a few choices. Follow me in the hopes im ratting out the very sensible team mates not coming to get me and allowing the killer to snowball. Just stand over me the entire time, thereby giving my team mates time to do things, or they worry about me getting away to a team mate, realise how much time their wasting following me, and hook me.

I'm not saying these are strategies you have to use, it might not be your cup of tea. But much like the good old 'i dont wanna waste time getting rid of totems' debate a while back, the choice of what you do is in your hands. It isn't the duty of either side to stop using a perk or strategy just because you don't want to deal with it.

Killer slugs me, killer is coming for a walk. Killer slugs me and tries to stealth hide near me, I'm going to crawl after you and make that very hard, especially as a ghost face.

I'd rather go for any of these over DCing because things didn't go my way, or vilify killers because they used a perfectly legitimate strategy. And yes i say legitimate. It doesn't matter if you, I or the queen doesn't like it, its allowed in the game until stated otherwise. Same goes for any legitmate perk or strategy used by survivors. Let me underline that this means the feature was intended for use this way. DCing for the hatch was never intended as gameplay strategy, no matter how many ways you want to paint it. If you DC outside of a real life need, even for tactical reasons, you're a sore looser. That's unfortunately the blunt truth coming from a mostly survivor main.

Make of it what you will.

  • I mean, yeah you can hate on the perk as much as you like, that's why opinions are allowed and why we have a large array of perks and playstyles to utilize. But the reality is, its a game, people are going to use whatever the heck they like one way or another, that's the risk of playing with random players.

  • Because they want to?

I mean you can attach all sorts of reasons, such as they have no skill, they are boring and just want to win, they want to bully you. At the end of the day none of it really matters because what it all boils down to is choice, and in most cases BOTH sides are going to choose the perks they think will help them win.

Personally my playstyle fits the non meta, but I'm not going to concern myself with what the other side has even if it becomes an annoyance. While i kind of agree with you that the same thing over and over is boring, at the end of the day it is a game, people want to win and will choose the best method, particularly any method that appears to work well, in order to achieve that.

Perhaps this is a good enough reason to take a look at perks, and if they are changed then hopefully it would be an actual balanced one rather than heading directly to nerf town.

  • And?

I can guarantee that i'll see just as many "Survivor perk OP" posts as "Killer OP" posts. I personally, as always, roll with the punches whatever I'm playing. But i see an awful lot posts like this and while i don't mind them its interesting to see people act as if its only 'pesky survivors' who complain every update.

  • The new changes were not made in order to make the survivors hop onto your weapon. You still have to put the work in.

The update wasn't put in to stop 'gen rush' that's still your job as the killer, survivors are doing theirs. It was implemented to give you more time at the start of the match.

It has already been stated that more maps will be changed later. It would be the height of assumption and stupidity to change ALL the maps at once without first testing how these currently changed maps affect the gameplay outside of PTB over a longer period. If it ended up a disaster, they would have to change all the maps again, and considering it took this long to do 2, I'd rather wait a little longer. And map changes were not made in order to stop looping but to end chases earlier, if you are having trouble utilizing those changes....that's really not on the devs.

I'm not opposed to changes in the game, heck add another survivor objective if it helps. But when there ARE gen slow down perks, and there ARE plenty of killers that are adapting well while survivors are finding it a little harder (not impossible, which seems to be what some people want, but harder), then i just can't take stuff like this seriously.

  • Unfortunately you could try a number of things to get people to change up the meta, but the dirty truth is that a large chunk of players will always rely on a 'meta', something that has worked time and time again for a large number of the playerbase. That's just how gaming is, in any game you are going to rely on what you know works, and while yes i do agree with you, its very boring, that's how most of us have played games for years. You don't bring a feather duster to a boss fight because the rocket launcher wasn't fun enough....most of the time.

Again, i agree with you, and my own build tends to steer away from the meta because im not much of a fan of hex or exhaustion perks. But if you try getting the die hard meta fans to change it up, you're going to be swimming against a big tide there. Even when you take things away, like the ruin change or the MoM nerf....players find a way to a new meta.

    Hello,

topic says all. Survivors have enough perks or playstyles to counter it. I know it can be frustrating but stop complain about it. It´s like with Noed, Bloodwarden and stuff like this. Theres is no day survivors didn´t complain about stuff that exists since release the game.

Pretty sure Killers have various way to counter gens, yet they called for a nerf rather than 'having to waste a perk slot'. Now don't get me wrong, i have no issue with the changes, but that sword you're waving about while dictating who does and does not get to complain? Yeah...that thing cuts both ways.

  • As a killer I....

Don't take it personally, I am nearly 40 years old and it's a damn game

Don't tunnel (but if you stupidly run into me after being saved, you're fair game)

Limit myself to maybe one ebony mori every now and again (i dont play killer often so your talking maybe once every month or so)

Punish anybody who hook farms/sandbags/ points out someones location. You are an ass and will be treated as such.

Don't take a DC out on the rest of the team, especially if more than one person does it. I allow for some point farming or perhaps slow my roll a little so they can get some points

    As a survivor I....

Don't take it personally, I am nearly 40 years old and it's a damn game

Don't BM. It's asinine and really not something im interested in doing as a full grown adult.

Will not chase you halfway across the damn map to heal you, if its safe i will heal you under hook (we'll make it for the win) if it isn't we'll sneak away, but im not chasing you.

If NOED is active i will find the totem before coming for the rescue. If I can't find it and the killer is camping...you are on your own. Otherwise its a case of no man left behind.

In the matter of gens v's healing, I will 95% a gen before stopping and healing you. A gen popping alerts the killer and limits the time i have to heal you.

If i am crawling away from the killer to later be picked up, for the love of god DON'T stop to heal me while the killer is chasing you, because now they know where i am again. ( I am the absolute worst person to leave slugged)

If you try to screw over your team mates in any way, I will let you swing.

  • never used it so i can't attest to its power but i'd say pretty much the same if it's truly that lame. I'm actually not adverse to making changes even gen speed changes so this isn't a killer perk v's survivor perk issue for me. But the whole idea of looking at a gen to slow it down is silly.

  • Asking to slow down gens simply by looking at them is pretty much the definition of lazy game play.

  • "Some would say ''But what about if my team play badly'' Well guess what, you play the side of the game that are in a team, you should lose if your team do badly."

Ok fair enough. But...if that is to be true then...

Guess what, you chose the side of the game that involves high pressure and have rely on your own skill. You should lose if you play badly.

Your ideas, whether you believe they are bad or good, would drive away about 80% of the survivor player base.

You want to nerf any perks that allow survivors to counter tunelling, slugging or camping.

You want to nerf healing that has already been nerfed.

You want ONLY buffs to killer perks to combat the survivors main objectives while taking away their perks for countering yours.

You want BASE KIT GEN SLOW DOWN, quite possibly your most ridiculous suggestion

You want survivors to die on second hook

You want to take away a survivor perk slot.

Are you seriously going to sit there with a straight face and say ANY survivor would stick around after one or more of these ludicrous ideas? Because I'm fairly sure they'd go ahead and give BHVR the middle finger. If you are serious about balance, then go back to your drawing board and look for serious balanced suggestions, not just more ways to stick it to survivors because you are struggling.

And are Killers supposed to remember Ruin and Nurse getting gutted when they buy a cosmetic?

Edit: Nvm this seems to be about toxicity. Of course, it's an issue the instant killers find a way to be toxic. Never mind the ######### Survivors have been doing for years.

Killers have been doing toxic crap for years too, they just didn't have a way to teabag unless you went slo-mo teabag with piggy. The second they got the opportunity, everyone was doing it, and would have been doing it right from the start if it had been available. Wearing the killer or survivor hat doesn't make you instantly angel or demon. People are toxic. End of story.

Killer or survivor if you do this childish asinine stuff....you're a bit of a twit.

Oh like this lol ok so you feel its ok to force people to play as a rank 12 killer against rank 1 and 2s or a full 4 man swf where it becomes no fun at all. The ######### is wrong with this community being so complacent to the facknthese devs dont give a ######### about you as a player just their wallets .

The ironic thing is, the DC ban was made for people exactly like you.

People that will use any excuse in the book to make DCing sound like something they have to do. If you are not willing to be patient about game changes, if you dislike playing the game so much that you desperately want the ability to DC on a whim...perhaps this is not the game for you. Yes the matchmaking system sucks....and yet people are managing while its being sorted out. Killers still win games, and nobody has yet to come up with definitive proof that every game is a 4 man SWF, even in red ranks.

Everyone is annoyed with how long it's taking for matchmaking to be less crappy, but until then those who don't want to wait have moved on to other games, and those that grin and bear it, don't seem to need the magic DC button, and still win games.

The excuses made for the ability to DC are ridiculous and utterly selfish. People abused the old system, this is the new system and its unlikely to change because DC's are overwhelmingly hated compared to those who cry that it isnt fair they can't just exit stage left when things get tough.

It's not going anywhere. Adapt or move on....or you know....just keep insulting people on the forums who disagree with you because I'm sure that'll work out well for you.

  • I mean....what did you expect to happen?

You change bits of the game, survivors will adapt thats the way its always been. Honestly I don't mind the changes one way or another, I was never big on looping because i sucked at it and found my own niche in the game. But once you change something in a game, survivors are going to adapt.

You nerf healing, survivors will choose a build that compliments doing gens in place of self healing.

You nerf toolboxes, smart survivors will save that toolbox for the last gens

You nerf one meta perk, survivors will move on to a new meta.

This newest change has pretty much made it smart gameplay, from a survivor perspective, to split up on gens, and I'm sorry but you can't fault survivors for that. They aren't in the game purely as decoration, they want to win as much as you and will adjust tactics to do so every time there is a change.

Again, not complaining about the changes, but i think its unfair to expect the goalposts to be moved again and again when it turns out that the patch didn't suddenly solve all your problems, in this case, not stopping the gens going by too fast.
