I don’t see any effects from it either. If you like give props to survivers and killers send them a simple gg. Just be careful some people will find this comment rubbing salt to a wound
which is why I feel like seeing a small stat that shows props gotten would be a small encouragement
like "youre doin great keep going"
idk

I've been hyped for it since it was announced
just the lore alone excites me
Im so ready!!! :D

Ok, Fine, I'll retract this suggestion. 3 up-votes out of 34 views must mean that its not as good of a QoL change as I thought it would be. Sorry for wasting everyone's time.
it takes time and most of the views are just lurkers (like me) they saw your suggestion but didnt say anything and thats ok
just give it time and more people will see it

Its in no way reportable. Unless your teammates went out of their way to get you killed, such as pointing out your location to the killer...you cant report them. The killer just as well is allowed to be friendly towards whomever. The killer choosing to farm points at the end instead of just finishing the game is not reportable as long as its consensual (as long as they arnt forcing the remaining survivors to do it).
so farming me in front of the killer and body blocking my escape isnt working with the killer?
and even if this is still the case that just means its another glaring problem with the game
like "Ill just go into this game and kill 1 guy then go stand in a corner"
no that makes the game less fun for way too many people

So it was full for 20 seconds?
By the way I do recommend Flip Flop, quite underrated and when you get slugged, I find that most times by wiggle bar is at 99% before I get hooked, one more second... Even if you are able to get a little charge in, the littlest bit counts, always wanted a perk like that.
its great to get IF you can get it (not everyone is gonna pay money and rng for us if it ends up in shrine)
also yes full for the 20 seconds

I just realised this was posted as a question
I don't know why or how to fix that -_-
oh well I guess

REALLY???? thats kinda cool (new skin ideas??? :D )

I dont know the rarity or name because Im not creative but maybe something to carry a second item when exit gates open
just cause it only takes 1 hand to hold each item so why not take something else with you

Trapdoor can easily be countered by not letting the survivors repair enough gens, it doesnt even spawn then
really? you try going into mid-high ranks swf and get somewhere if you believe you can get them all before the hatch spawns then good for you but as a survivor main playing killer is a bit harder (especially since I dont have all the killers or even close to all the perks)
-
@Kurisataru said:
This thread is trash because you deliberately stayed in a hatch stand off.
You KNOW if claudette jumped, you could grab her and get a 4k.
You KNOW if you hit Claudette before she jumps, she can go in and get her win.
But what do you do? Expect the survivor to let you win, and when they don't you come to the forums to complain that the survivor started the hatch standoff and "held the game hostage".
You both were competing to win and that's the end of that.
As a survivor main, I don't want to be punished because my team decided to DC or die after 2 gens were done and the killer thinks they're entitled to a kill. Hatches are perfectly fine by me. You should be grateful that it's super uncommon to see games where survivors run with keys to open the hatches early after busting your totems and opening chests instead of complaining about an alternate escape when the conditions are met.
if youd like to read the rest of the discussion youd see that this person literally didnt do anything
its one thing if its worked for its another thing if you spend all game hiding and go for hatch when everyone dies
and as a survivor main I still think its a broken system that needs to be fixed
-
@DudeDelicious I was off by one segment I literally could have pipped from one more anything or even just a little more chase

That’s not a loss. You’d still gain rank progression and its likely you’ve netted a load of BP by this point in the trial.
tell that to my safety pip I didnt get any rank up because the system is broken

If the killer was allowed to close the hatch in a normal situation. There would be no end to survivor salt.
However, it might be fair if a new Ultra Rate offering allowed the killer to close the hatch and have it be reopened with a key.
and thats another good point
maybe multiple levels on it? like one closes it for a minute then one for 3 minutes and the ultra rare that closes it permanantly without key but all of which have to be activated manually
-
@Jaarthan said:
Yeah if you think hatch is a pressing matter, you should play survivor and see how fun lobbies with bad pings are, or survivors that dc moment they get downed, of 1v3's, etc, killer imbalance, etc.
I play both and trust me I know Im p3 Jake
the fact is that its a problem that was fixed until survivors complained
if you failed to survive then thats your fault if I failed to kill thats my fault but I shouldnt fail BECAUSE I killed
-
@GrootDude said:
The hatch is fine, you aren’t entitled to four kills.
If the game boils down to one survivor looking for the hatch then just look for them.
You can also bring deerstalker and nurse’s so you can slug for the 4K easier.
Freddy is good for preventing the hatch game if you put the time into learning him.
thats a good idea let me just dump a bunch of bloodpoints into a killer I dont use
and besides telling me not to try to get 4 kills is like telling survivors not to work on gens
its the entire point of the game
-
@Jaarthan said:
I mean, if you're in a situation where there is only one survivor left and they are trying for hatch, then not all gens were done and all other survivors were eliminated, why is one going through the hatch a total failure? Like clearly you kicked ass for that match. Also you can't say killers are punished for taking action on a hatch standoff because then a survivor who takes action and tries to jump in is also punished in the same manner. Standoffs suck for both parties, and whenever I play killer, and from the really high ranked killers that stream, tend to just hit the survivor and watch them jump down because it's just one of hundreds of matches you will play.
There is one of the big problems
I did great that match so why should I have to lose in the end?
Im not super high ranked I suck at this game so if I finally do good why do I have to be punished for something like this
even still this problem affects all tiers not just new player not just veterans everyone is affected

Honestly, I'd have still gave it to her, less experienced survivors tend to struggle more and it's nice to let them do something for once. If she got so little points, then she's probably finding her feet and learnt to do a hatch standoff from Ochido. Unless it was a toxic team, I never camp the hatch.
Good day. ☺
in any normal case Id agree with you but she was rank 12 and brought an insta heal
she wasnt inexperienced she was lazy and didnt want to do the work
edit: personal thought being every swf is a bit toxic
-
@Poweas said:
Aren't you holding it hostage by being too arrogant to let them leave? She made it too one gen, let her live, you're not entitled to a 4k every time. Not to be offensive, but that's my view on it.
Run a slugging build on Nurse or Spirit if you want a 4k.
first off I dont have spirit and I suck as nurse
secondly Im not entitled but if I could get one EVER thatd be nice
third the game is not on hold if I do nothing because they can still do gens and escape via exit
lastly she did escape and had the lowest score she didnt earn it and was not entitled to escape just because the game has a flaw
my point in posting this is to ask for a possible change and advice on how to prevent hatch standoff
I apologize if I come off as a -Donkey of sorts- Im just upset that the game being broken prevents me from actually playing the game
-
I feel like you did good enough
the game is unfair sometimes. My condolences
-
so just give up because the game has no solution to a blaring problem? got it great thanks

I would love one... but with how the current game operates I don't think it could be implemented super well

it can also serve as training for things like flashlights/pallet saves

"will take a long time to get there but at the end of the game when all survivors are maxed out and have every perk"
How long is that? I'm at almost 400 hours and I have like 42 perks on Feng Min. I wonder if there is such a player as someone who has gotten all perks for all Survivors.
well as it stands you could pick just 1 survivor and all teachables to max out and it makes no difference
then again I know people with 2-3k hours into it and they have several maxed survivors

It is kind of Obscure as the only thing we have left from his Writing was that The Entity found him, we don't know if this means he was killed or sent to The Void.
how would people feel if he was "captured" and turned into a new killer/survivor?
-
an additional thing I thought of that Im curious on is the origin of the currencies and the storys behind them
being bloodpoints the iridescent shards and the auric cells
@Detective_Jonathan from what Ive seen youre an expert on much of this stuff do you have any answers?
-
I’m sure this has been discussed many times, but if each killer has a different ability, it would be nice for survivors to have some differentiation as well.
a likewise idea (as youve seen) was a 4th unique perk that is instead not teachable
it gives the survivors their own thing without being too over the top
personally Id like both of these ideas
-
could I ask for the addition of some more obscure lore?
Ive seen the name in game and in the forums but who is Vigo? and apparently there were experiments on killer? whats that about?
-
@Robb_Stark said:
They should give each Survivor a 4th Unique Perk. This Perk is unlocked at Level 50 and like any other Perk, it has 3 tiers. However, unlike the other 3 Perks each Survivor has, this one is not a Teachable, it is truly unique so only that particular Survivor has the opportunity to equip it (if they wish). The Perk won't appear in the Bloodwebs of any other Survivor.
I like that idea and I think itd work well if made properly

I had a similar idea but I thought it would be cool if there was a story mode thing for each characters. Each character gets a chapter that’s roughly 30-60 mins worth of gameplay that’s give the backstory of each character, like it shows the night they got taken and what they were thinking when they arrived at the campfire. And they all have different gameplays according to their perks or their backstory we currently have
Like nea would have be like a parkour theme game with her being at the asylum
Claudette would be a choice making game similar to life is strange
jakes would be a survival game
Hillbilly and hags would been them escaping their situation
wraith would be kinda of detective case sorta LA noire how you solve cases like that since he found out that his boss was killing people
It would be cool if it was implemented but it will never happen because that’s all of work and stuff
maybe an in-between
something preset for you to play as them through set events and short cutscenes to bring together the lore but each unique to their own backstory
Example: (cause its the first to come to mind) the hag
we get a cutscene that shows a small amount of what happens then you get a "preset scene" in which she hunts kills (specifically mori) each of the cannibals that had captured her
Id like it even if it was a separate DLC and Im sure others would probably pay money for it (at least their respective favourite characters)

@Eross1b said:
Survivors are meant to be cosmetic. Devs said they don't want to make every survivor unique, since everyone will just play Meg or Claudette then.
well if theyre not unique in any way then whats stopping people from unlocking the teachables and changing to an immersed claudette? she can hide on literally every map
this isnt me calling out or shots fired or whatever Im just confused on why

@Aven_Fallen said:
Yeah, this should not happen. The Killer is an #########, but dont worry, not all are like that. I also had games were I was together with brown Rank Survivors and the Killer apologized for the Matchmaking.
Of course a Red Rank Killer should not be ranked vs green and yellow Survivors, but this is due to the new Pipping System... Nearly no Red Rank Survivors left and Killers also need people to play against.
Far from ideal.
such is life I suppose

1) delete the names unless you want the post removed

Same build? Do you mean like killers, survivors should have something unique (Like Meg-has 2% haste on base)?
I mean if every character has learned all teachable perks then theres no difference between them
killers have different powers to change how they play but suvivors dont have that
and yes something like the 2% haste but something unique to them
an example would be Jake always having lvl1 sabotage or claudette always having lvl 1 self heal or botany
just something to set the characters apart

If the people aren't leaving I just chill in a corner of the map and watch YouTube or something
understandable I suppose but its still annoying to not be able to play just cause a survivor is rude

they could add a trophy to dbd called Insinuation. This trophey would be obtained by sacrificing a survivor in order to kill the killer.
This idea although somewhat half baked does have potential. maybe not for killing the killers but and add-on to the game as an easter egg would be nice. personal opinion though so think what you will
(I dont mean an in-game add-on as if it were an item I mean in addition *insert paranoia and anxiety of my own problems*)

@Soulslayer618 Okay. If you don't hit with hatchets, it can be pretty hard to hit a good looper with the normal attack at only 110% speed. Nevertheless, that's how it is supposed to be at the moment. You should force the survivors out.
About one or two weeks ago, we had a discussion here in the forum about a "give up" option for killers after the gens are done. If such a feature would exist, it would be a big help. Let me see if I can find that thread again.
Edit: Here is the thread: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/52730/let-killers-leave-after-gates-open/p1
If you'd like to have the "give up" function, you can write it in the thread. I think it's a great idea. ☺️
made my claim on the statement so thanks for helping me out. :D
but my question still remains for others in what they would do in that situation because Im genuinely curious
-
I think this would be great for the game simply because there are players who will refuse to leave and attempt to farm points. If you're an unskilled killer (like me) be chased and harassed for another 10-20 minutes after the game is over feels bad and makes the game less fun. Otherwise your options are go AFK, which sucks if you want to just go to the next game instead of waiting, or leave match which makes you lose those precious bloodpoints.
correct me if Im wrong but I don't think people like being harassed blinded and trolled by toxic players

Wow you must be stupid, ah?
don't be rude everyone has an opinion and a large portion of people who play the game have no clue on any lore.
thats why we're here to try and learn
-
@NoShinyPony I was huntress and Im just bad at the game. As much as Id like to practice I literally cant when my hatchets miss point blank. I understand that might be me nitpicking but still I tried and failed. (besides who wants to spend another 15 minutes on an already 20 minute game)
