Boons on a whole is fine it's just the healing speed of coh that gets out of hand.
Drop it to 33% increase so self cares take 24 seconds and healing other 12 and it's fine
-
Core rule of humans
Everything is toxic to atleast somebody.
-
Trickster
Chuking knives is just fun and his little sound effects are a delight when he starts giggling like a maniac
Trapper
Nothing beats the symphony that's a survivor scream who walks into your carefully placed traps.
Legion
I love the information based playstyle and injuring multiple survivors rappidly is just satisfying
None of these killers are good for concistant 4k's but god are they fun to me.
Honerable mention to ancient freddy.
While he had a lot of issues he was just a blast to play. It was so different then the other killers

I think what you're suggesting is a buff to Coup de Grace. :P
It's bugged right now and it gains tokens like crazy. I had 5 tokens after 2 gens completed and they didn't always consume upon use.
If you want a buffed coup now is the time
-
This challenge really isn't that bad.
Leave it as last and just play the game normally and you're bound to get it at some point without even trying.
There are some really badly designed challenges but just because it's a challenge that will take a couple of tries doesn't mean it's bad.
-
Boons are fine. It's just CoH that needs a tweak.
I haven't seen shadowstep in ages. I haven't seen the new one outside of adept challenges and that one is a couple of days old
-
Nothing needs a Freddy style remake.
That was the single worst thing that happened in this game. They should never again straight up delete a killer
-
That showbizz. The greater you are the more haters you'll get.
The trick is to use them as fuell. Relish in their jealousy of your swag.
-
I remember them nerfing the strongest survivor item in the game in the same patch CoH arrived.
Pretty mindblowing how little reaction there was to that. One of the most frustrating parts of the game gone and hardly anyone bats an eye.
CoH is probably going to get looked at next midchapter if they keep their method of reviewing dlc for the second midchapter after release
-
Pretty sure the kill switch is for gamebreaking bugs.
Never heard of the getting stuck in vines but i assume you are loose when the killer downs you so it doesn't break the game.
Same for the hook. Sucks for that one survivor but not really different from being facecamped by a Bubba.
Same for dead hard. For as annoying as it is you can still play the game to completion even after getting your power eaten a 100 times in a game.
If being hooked in the new map basement caused the survivors to drop through the map or if opening the exit gates caused it to crash then the kill switch would be used
-
Works if the killer is gullable enough to pick you up.
If they are smart and leave you on the ground they have a hooked and a slugged survivor close to eachother.
They can safelly camp the 60 second DS timer and get another hookstate out of the hooked survivor too.
-
Her entire point is that she uses birds to gather information
That's how they are trying to up the 4v1 potential of this 1v1 killer of the month.
Would be a terrible way to gather information if you can avoid by just hopping in a locker.
That's probably the entire reason she has killer instinct in the first place
-
Reason people will say to you cause they want to desperatly believe it.
Killer shortage, everybody is leaving killer and if things don't change fast this game and the entire world is going to dieeee
Actual reason
There are just a whole lot more killer challenges then survivor ones
9 survivor vs 28 killer to be exact
Problem seems to be that every killer rite is counted sepperatly and in the survivors case the survivor is chosen after the challenge was picked
-
Ruin is probably good on her as if you are hit by crows you generaly want to stop working on the gen to get the swarm off.
Discordance/tinkerer to know on which gen they are
Perks that PH likes like I'm all ears would also work pretty well i'd imagine.
I do think that Artist is going to be one of those killers that if you're bad at them then a good build won't save you and if you're good at them a weak build won't hold you down

It is not a simple flashlight save that makes me think so :) It is the vast coordination between every single player, a coordination that can not happen among solo players unless they are the absolute top 1%. My guess is a SWF communicating on discord tho ;)
I played solo survivor for a very long time, since killer was in the ditch for a very long time. So I know what a solo lobby looks like on average. Heck I even managed to loop some killers for 5 gens myself, start to finish.
ONE option would also be that the odds were that every single solo survivor was on a blind/stun challenge. It can happen in theory... but lets be real here :) When every single one guy gets swarmed like that when downed, you know it is a bully SWF that knows they are nearly untouchable. This SWF just got cocky and made mistakes.
Every single time I downed someone, not ONE but TWO people made themselves known to be near. To tell me I could not pick that guy up. Hence I was forced to slugging.
Not saying that you're wrong per say just that you can never be sure.
I know i had games as a solo where when i went down the entire team swarmed me and lost because of that.
In you case it was most likely a swf. You can never be 100% sure though
stranger things have happened in the universe then a bunch of solo's being coordinated.
Not a lot stranger but you know.
-
I mean i get accused from being in a swf all the time while always playing solo.
You don't need navy seals communication to bodyblock for an injured survivor or get a flashlight save once in a while
-
Gone, reduced to atoms
-
And on that day blindness jumped from one of the worst effects to top tier
-
When you play survivor you have 3 teammates.
As a killer you are all alone. So they are much more likely to reach out to actions that make a friend then the survivors who already have friends.
Scientifically proven by some dude in a basement
-
In a previous life you probably stepped on a dog's tail accidentally and now you are paying the price

I honestly think BHVR should listen to their game director. And go play/develop something else, for a week or two, three…
...
They do. BHVR often works as a outsourcing company for other studio's. The part of BHVR that works on dbd is relatively small.
A single look on their website is all you need to see a couple of games they worked on for other studios
-
Prety sure that's a community created feeling. Killer role is very easy when you start out so you 4k all the time. Once you go against decent teams it suddenly stops and people feel like they aren't winning anymore.
For me I realise this game is based on slasher movies and in most slasher movies there is atleast one or two people who escape. So no i don't feel bad at all about a 2 or 3k.
-
Pretty sure it's fixed.
-
3-5 matches a day
DbD is best enjoyed with moderation.
It isn't nearly as frustrating if you aren't carrying frustrations of the previous 20 matches you done in a single sitting into a game

I don’t know if this is true because Ruin/Deadlock would be devastating.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2673465#Comment_2673465
Blocked gens don't regress so ruin doesn't do anything on a blocked gen.
It's the damaging portions of perks that should work
-
When you get all 44 screams in a single match you know you had a good match
-
@PerfectlyPink said:
It blows up but it doesn't apply the 15%, it'll just start regressing when the gen gets unblocked
If that's the case then it's most likely bugged. Gens are suppose to take the damage from perks like Jolt or the new scourge hook perk while blocked.
The only thing that the block should do is pause the regression
-
Everything can backfire
-
To be fair i don't think the stress dbd gives is good for underdeveloped minus 18 brains.
Look at the damage it does to adult brains

Is it good tho? Dead Man's Switch sucks. It works only with Obsession and 45 seconds is not really that much. Compare it with Deadlock.
Pop is way better with it
Which is sad cause it really shouldn't.
The gen starts regressing with the hook perk so normally pop shouldn't work. But survivors just instantly start working on it again despite the fact they know you're coming
I can see why this game is so hard to balance when you put in measurements so multiple slowdown don't stack and the survivor circumvent it themself

My b my guy thought it read increase time to cleanse not apply a speed penalty I was wrong sry
It's okay. Almost everybody got how this interaction works wrong. It's also not that well writen. Self care and thrill work the same way but they are writen in 2 different ways. That's just asking for confusement.
Sorry for the snarky comment but i tried correcting Otz in his stream when he said it adds 50% time and him and his entire chat of 8000 people just started going nuts with how dumb i was.
People complain that the devs don't listen to our feedback. But i'm starting to see why.

It's not suppose to reduce speed by 50 percent it's suppose to make it take 50 percent longer thrill is currently doing double what it's suppose to
No...
It's not suppose to increase the time by 50%
Action Speed penalty means you do the action slower. Doing it half as fast means you take twice as long.
Selfcare litterally does the same thing.
How is everybody getting this wrong when selfcare has been in the game in it's current state for ages and people just accepted it take twice as long. Even Otz was wrong about this ffs

Blessing a hex takes almost a full minute
That's not a bug, outside of blessing a hex standert taking 28 seconds instead of the 24 they said
50% slowdown means it takes twice as long to do the interraction.
Selfcare's 50% slowdown also doubles the time of a heal from 16 to 32 seconds
-
@PleassBuiltInNoed said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2671439#Comment_2671439
it is luck based, but they cannot know which one is which, and spending 36 seconds on booning (and maybe hitting toth) is not really something you wanna do when you can get interrupted and the progress is reset
56 seconds to boon a hex when thrill is at 5 stacks.
So yeah if they manage to pull that off then you have saved 70% of a gen.
-
Exposing the problems.
Sure that match was annoying but if it wasen't for these hackers that make it really obvious they are hacking you would have played against dozens of subtle hackers and never known it.
Most of the time it's out of boredom but it is thanks to people like that that we know there is a hacker problem.
Obviously still should be reported.
-
Give me new killers to face.
One of the killers you constantly face is like a day old.
I 100% agree with the buffing of lower tier killers but this was funny to me

Right now mostly because of the dedicated hit. Killer hit the survivor but hes still running like nothing happen.
Because you always need to play around that perk even if the survivor dont run any exaustion perk.
Correct a mistake you just did like that you can continu like nothing happen.
Killer hate dead hard for many reason but before the dedicated hit dead hard was menageable now its not.
Im a firm believer that you run overcome with dead hard like that the killer will drop the chase and you can go work on gen like nothing happen still injure and you have dead hard for the next chase
Yes but how much of that is Overcome being good and how much is it Dead Hard being good enough it's worth 2 slots.
If you run into an insta down killer you still have a dead perk.
In my eyes if you need an exhaustion perk to make another exhaustion perk good then the latter one isn't that good to begin with.
I do agree it's the best way to play Overcome as it takes the biggest issue away from it and the 2 perks don't fight as much as other exhaustion perks do.

Just like dead hard an insta down killer counter the perk and after a hook if you stay injure you are an easy target if you dont have iron will
You're not an easy target cause you have dead hard.
Against some insta down killer you are in a better position being injured with dead hard then you are healthy.
Why do you think dead hard is so often complained about?

It's not about distance - it's about how long for them to get to a safe loop.
And the base on hit speed is more then enough for that.
You are not going to be able to make it much further with overcome then without against a wraith.
-
@StarLost said:
Wraith? No. He gets rocked by CoH and Overcome probably more than any other killer.
He's committed heavily into regression, and will thus be able to stall out a game somewhat but will lack a lot of offense. Just loop him while everyone else does gens.
Base wraith loses 2.3 seconds to overcome compared to without it. Just cloak and zoom after them
Outside of instadown killers he's the least effected of Overcome. It's so overrated it's not funny anymore
-
It shouldn't work cause the generator starts regressing after the hook.
Survivors just instantly start repairing the generator again despite the fact that they should know their location was revealed.
If you just leave then they will arive at a regressing gen with no survivor near and no gen to kick.
This combo works purelly cause of survivors

@Chordyceps said:
The artist's slowdown perks are very cool in concept, but all but the scourge hook one are incredibly inefficient.
Grim Embrace would be a really good perk if playing fair was actually effective at all. If you try and spread out your hooks, you're most likely going to lose 3 or 4 gens before you can hook everyone once. You basically need to tunnel one person out of the game to stand any kind of chance with how huge these maps are.
Hex: Pentimento simply came out too late. If it came out before Boon totems, this would be very powerful. But unfortunately, basically no one cleanses totems anymore. They either bless them or leave them for other people to bless them.
Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance is the most useful because of it's instant gen regression on a gen you don't even have to be near. But of course it suffers from the same issues as Gift of Pain. If you're taking too long to get a down and/or you down someone and there are no scourge hooks nearby then you're just out of luck.
TLDR: Grim embrace was designed for an idyllic version of this game where playing fair is viable. Pentimento is basically useless because of the existence of boon totems. Scourge hook is really the only useful one, but could be difficult to activate due to the randomized nature of scourge hooks.
You don't need to play supernice to use Grim Embrace.
If you hook survivor A, then B ,then A again, then C and then kill A you can hook D and stop the last gen that is probably about to pop.
That's a player out of the game by hook 5 and your 3 gen blocked while one survivor is hooked and one has their location revealed by hook 6
While obviously not superstrong it's not that bad either
-
The Entity actually exist but instead of feeding on hope it feeds of frustration. That's why it's so hard to put this game down even if your at wits end.
Seen she will have fed enough and bring a glorious end to our existance.
-
I rate it about the same as Smash Hit.
In a good matchup you can create lot's of distance. In a bad match up it's a dead perk.

But then, neither does DH.
I can see where Overcome will have its uses. Thought it probably won't overtake DH in popularity. I've used it a couple of times, and a few killers immediately broke off chase. I used that time to heal and reset. Those that didn't break chase and couldn't make up the distance lost a gen or two - since I purposefully ran as far from where I assumed my teammates were working on gens.
Yes it does.
DH comes online the second you get unhooked. Oneshots deny one use of DH. They deny all uses of Overcome

Tunneling off hook hasn't made BT dissapear and many killers have tunneled the receiver of BT and the one who used it many times, I have seen the threads about it many times.
Legion is still one of the worst killers now and it's not because of perks like DH. Even with with ability he is still a basic M1 killer that can easily be looped to death.
But that's your opinion and I have mine. We will see in time who is right and wrong.
I'm sorry i'm not following the BT argument. BT actually helps against tunneling. It even helps if it's not in play. Killers wait 12 seconds before hitting. In that time you can get somewhere or someone has time to bodyblock. And if you do get hit the speedburst you get from it is enough to reach a safe tile 9/10
Overcome litterally does nothing in that scenario. Every single other exhaustion perk can do something.
Maybe this is just me having a pessimistic mind. But all i can see when i look at overcome is all the situations where it doesn't do anything.
We'll see who's right but i believe Overcome will end up alongside build to last, power struggle and all the other perks these forums said were going to be op and dissapeared in a week

Now that's funny it's not the worst all in all Sprint burst or Balanced landing is because those are situational based ones that could active when you dont want them too....
At least they activate and are available when injured.
Any kind of instant down and overcome never activates at all
