Like, they nerfed one addon that nobody used, the hindered one, and they buffed ink egg for some reason, that addon is really good, and nerfing ONE meter on hands doesnt change nothing about it. the only good change was the iri addon that dont remove 1 crow of your power anymore.
The yellow one was used quite often, but it still wasn't nerf worthy.
The Hands nerf is apparently quite impactful, as survivors repairing a gen together don't infect eachother with swarms when on opposite sides.
Even the iri change does little, as the Undetectable is just so inconvenient to get.

They don't make sense even if you play her.
In fact, they seem even more nonsensical.

In terms of strength, he's good but not game breaking imo, which is the ideal place to be.
He's one of the few ranged killers with a proper movement ability, and while the axe is pretty hard to master on its own, it has some pretty solid utility with the haste and break speed addon.
I hope they rework an addon into disabling the axe in exchange for massively boosting the undetectable he gets from doors, like the green badge, but dialed up to the point using cameras to reveal his position would be an essential mechanic. Sort of a consolation prize for the people who don't like the axe.
I would like an add-on like that.

Thanks for the feedback my friend!
Retribution would grants the oblivous in a 6-8meter radius around any totem. The aura reveal only happens when you cleanse the totem.
Oh ok, that one is fine too then. :)

judging by changes, this is more or less a general nerf. Deciding to nerf an already B+ tier killer is wild ngl
Yeah, more so a nerf.
Judging by the changes, we can be glad her basekit was untouched.
But still, nerfing Untitled Agony and Velvet Fabric for no reason at all, potentially nerfing Severed Hands (I have yet to play and see for myself), AND keeping most of her awful add-ons unchanged (Garden of Rot, Charcoal Stick, Darkest Ink, Choclo Corn) is insane.

I hope it does and will stay like that.

Vigo and the Observer just… there… forgotten… relics of the past. I wish they would bring them back or at least bring back some stuff that references them.
I hope they are okay at least. :(All three should be nore present in the lore.
Benedict could come back in some form (unless he and the Observer are one and the same)
The Observer shouldn't be as sidetracked as he is currently.
And Vigo could get some more mentions in the lore. Last time we heard of him was the Blight DLC.
-
I would check the wiki in a week or two, they usually dig up every detail about him rather quickly.
For example, they found out about a Pounce feature for the Houndmaster that is impossible to trigger in game.
-
Yes. I'd love that.
@dbd900bach said:
Isn't Scene Partner the equivalent?
It is, Premonition is just very similar.
-
The whole office thing is perfect.
The axe is sticking out like a sore thumb.
His mori would be better without the Torture Endo, or Shreddy Fazchair 2.0, as some on Reddit call it.
-
I'm kinda disappointed.
Untitled Agony got an undeserved nerf, Severed Hands may or may not end up awful (I am yet to check how hard the nerf is) and most of her bad add-ons are still the same.
-
Okay, so, here is my feedback:
Agree with the general buffs. Hexes need this sort of help, since the only ones worth running are the trap ones.
Haunted Grounds having 2 uses seems fine, but I wouldn't make it so it punishes EVERY Hex cleanse. You could get a pretty nasty scenario with Plaything and Pentimento in the mix.
Agree with the Pentimento and Nothing But Misery changes.
About Retribution, what effects exactly apply near the totems? The Oblivious or aura reveal? Because the first would be fine, but the second could be too much.
Nice Ruin idea.
I like the Hex: Shadowborn pitch. It's really nice.
Thrill is mostly fine as is, although that effect would give it agency on it's own, so… nice change.
Two Can Play, yeah. Agree.
My opinion on Undying is that it's fine as is. I would maybe make it so the auras keep getting revealed near cleansed totems too, but I'd be fine even if it stayed the same.
-
I'd like it, honestly.
But first they have to revert it so the Event rarity is back and the items cost 2000 BP again.

Okay, I'm extremly sad and annoyed by these Addon changes for Artist. They are overall a big nerf to her for no reasons and it makes me really sad to see my main getting nerfed for no reasons.
I could get the Mathias' Baby Shoes nerf, but why did Untitled Agony get nerfed is beyond me.
I'm uncertain about Severed Hands, they may end up fine, but also may be awful.
What irks me is that all her garbage add-ons (Choclo Corn, Darkest Ink, Charcoal Stick) were left the exact same, while her best ones got nerfed.
-
So, I'll just add in my feedback on the Artist Add-on situation:
Automatic Writing is still kinda useless. The crows rarely disintegrate anyway.
Untitled Agony getting nerfed is wild. Why? It wasn't THAT good. It's not even 2 seconds!
Ink Egg might as well not have a downside, it's not that impactful.
Severed Hands may end up terrible or completely fine. I'll have to test it first.
Iridescent Feather is still useless. It should trigger every time you launch a crow, not just when you have none.

The devs have been too busy focusing on the survivor experience that the killer experience is going to make new players quit.
The bloodweb is grindy.
After a few matches killers will face toxic playstyles from players emulating their favorite content creators who smurf for content. There are no good beginner friendly regression or gen perks.
The DBD community is toxic.
Good perks are locked behind paywalls.
Many long-term players are video game addicts who refuse to quit because of money spent, the game isnt fun and the game isnt what non DBD players see on tiktoks and stuff.Everybody thought the resident evil chapters would bring a huge wave of players, that didn't happen.
I sincerely hope that Pinhead's perks will become base alongside the FNAF release.
Gift of Pain and Deadlock are both decent slowdown perks that don't require a lot of work to activate. And Plaything is also a nice way to slow down the game a bit with every survivor getting a Hex.

Came in just to write exactly the same thing.
we’ve adjusted her top and bottom-performing add-ons to bring their usefulness more in line with her other options.Pretty sure they will nerf Severed Hands and it's the only addon which helps her to be somewhere near low A tier.
It's another Billy situation, where they were about to nerf his Engravings just because "oh it has high pick rate and performs better than other". Yeah, maybe because in both situations it's the only addon makes killer viable? Maybe because other 4-5 addons somewhat okish and other 15 are just garbage? Sadly there are like 5 Artist players in this game and this situation won't get enough attention.Poor Carmina doesn't deserve this BS.
Her add-ons are literally not a problem. Hands are good, but not OP, so no reason to change them, and everything else is completely fine or weak.
There is NOTHING that should get nerfs.
-
@イエローミント said:
There is no change this time either, but why do DBD fans have to endure for the sake of FNAF fans?
Not even for their sake, only because the devs said so.
It would take 15 minutes for even the most brainrotted Fortnite gamer to get the old rarities.
But no, we have to bend over backwards because Fortnite is such a good example of a flawless game, right?
-
Houndmaster still has multiple bugs, one of which disables Houndsense conpletely.
And there is also Plague with her audio bug where she makes the power canceling sound even when using it normally.

What exactly means "adjustments to several Addons for Artist"? Is it is just some small tweaks or an Addon Update with some reworks?
I main her since release and I'm really scared of this because it has the potential to be good but also awfully bad. In the past you nerfed some problematic addons to make them bad so they are technically no longer an issue instead of reworking them into something healthy and useful (e.g. instadown addons for Huntress and Clown).
I also feel like she deserves some basekit changes since she became a bit outdated over the years. Is there a reason why you just change some addons instead of tweaking the basekit too?
I am afraid too.
Start the chanting, we have to manifest that only good will come from this change!!!
-
Sister Madeline and William from Evil Nun: The Broken Mask.
The Dread Duckies and Doug Houser from Dark Deception.
Slenderman too, ofc.
-
Great idea!
I wonder why the devs didn't add anything like this ages ago.

-
Eh.
The voicelines can get annoying fast, and break the very little immersion there is, so I'd rather not waste time on them.
-
Even tho this was posted a lot, it's still true and something that should be solved.
The new cosmetic rarities and colors are fine.
What isn't fine is the new blue replacing green, yellow becoming green for some reason, and the Event rarity being removed, causing Event stuff to cost 5000 BP a PIECE.

Why sarcastic? Those are some decent values among the team. Don't see any sarcastic element on it.
Decent? Seriously?
1% Haste? 5 extra seconds on hook? 3% faster action speed? 2% faster vaults?
Those values are decent? Each of these effects are outclassed heavily by a single perk, even if only a single person runs it. Resilience alone outclasses half of these.
-
At first, I thought this post was sarcastic. It probably is, and some people just didn't catch it.
Anyway, I have an Invocation idea right here:
Invocation: ProtectorWhen in the basement near the circle, press the Ability Button to begin the Invocation.
Invocations take 60 seconds. Other Survivors will see your aura during this and can join the ongoing interaction.
Once the Invocation is completed:
• You lose one Hook Stage.
• The timer of everyone's Hook Stages is increased by 9/12/15 seconds. If a survivor joins the Invocation process for more than 15 seconds, the resulting effect is increased by 3 seconds.
Completing the invocation disables the perk for all survivors.
Getting hooked for a second time disables the perk. -
BHVR themselves hated the perk so much to the point of reworking it.
Every killer that had charge time add-ons had to be finetuned perfectly for Tinkerer to be good but not OP. I can only imagine how much more time in development they spent with this single perk.
-
So he doesn't have a place there, but Legion and Oni do?
-
I agree.
-
If Shattered Hope was made basekit, we would have more freedom with Boons and make them actually worth bringing.
So, I would agree, under the condition where Boons get some much needed buffs.
-
It's true.
The perks were supposed to become generic, but they are still tied to him and unavailable for everyone that doesn't own him.
-

Thanks for commenting my friend.
Out of curiosity, how did your idea work with the map addon?
Kind of like this:
Safe Combination (Very Rare):
• Changes one of the Basement Lockers into a Safe.
• The Map automatically tracks the Safe at the start of the match.
• While holding the Map, you can unlock the Safe, which will grant you extra Bloodpoints and contains a Herb. -
More or less agree. Maybe aside making Ruleset no. 2 basekit for Pig, that could get really annoying.
-
Looks awesome!
-
It would be pretty fine, IF the Rift wasn't made grindier and even more FOMO.

Every time I see a topic start about killers that survivors hate going up against, no one ever brings up Nemesis. Now I understand that people have subjective tastes in killers, but I’ll watch them describe why they hate Deathslinger or Demo for “hold M2 to mind game” despite Nemesis being the exact same thing.
I even tried playing him to see what other survivors do to counter it but they legitimately can’t. I just went on a 17 game win streak. If they get to close to a vault/pallet, I just hold my tentacle while chasing and barely lose speed. If they commit to an action, whip them. If they abandon the vault/pallet and keep going, put my whip away instantly and M1 them for free. Rinse and repeat until they’re all dead.
I understand people might argue that Nemesis needs to hit you 3 times so it’s not as bad, but I don’t think health states matters. If I feel like I can’t do anything that expresses skill in chase, it’s just boring and feels like old Legion all over again. No matter what I do, I’ll eventually go down with no counter play.As you said, it's subjective.
Some people love facing Nemesis, you hate it. It's just how it is. I for example hate playing against Xeno and always will.
it's not helping that Nemesis is bugged and can hit over everything now, but that's a different discussion altogether.

How would that actually be implemented, though?
Maybe if you only get to finish those quests by using the "track" feature?
Probably, yes.
I'm bringing this discussion back again, since it still needs to be heard and put in the game.
I feel like making things like Remixes, Memory Shards and Glyphs into a separate Master category of the Rituals (I'll call it that instead of Quests), alongside Daily, Weekly, Milestone and Event Challenges, and keeping the old toggle system just for this category would be a perfect solution for many problems with the new Rift.
Not only would we get another way to get Fragments (one Master Challenge should give 100 fragments minimum), but also keep a bit of the uniqueness of the old system.
-
I hate the new layers of FOMO added with the new update.
Not only are the more unique Master Challenges, Glyphs and Memory Shards all gone (they should return in some way as an additional objective on top of all we have), the premium Rift button is plastered in the middle of the Rift screen. There are now also 3 Deep Rift variants of the new outfits, gone forever after the rift ends. Yet another level of FOMO.

I want a return to night time either way, don't know why they decided the middle of the day with brilliant sunshine is ideal for a horror game.
Again, no hate on the artists as that is one thing DBD really does excel at
I get it. I guess they went for the... dilapidated... vibe and the sunny lighting helped highlight it more or something, but it does look off.
Another realms they did this with are Haddonfield and Crotus Prenn. Both look so boring and so soulless, even though both had amazing lighting in their OG versions. Drowning them in light was NOT the right choice.

Eyrie fog can be nasty, that‘s true. It‘s one of the few maps where you actually notice the purple fog offering.
Doesn‘t forsaken boneyard have the exact same aesthetics as Eyrie?
Forsaken Boneyard is the name of the realm.
Eyrie of Crows is the map name.
I would add a sandstorm into the map, so while the map is brighter, the visibility is very small.

I want it to be set at night again, not in the day with brilliant sunlight. Daylight kills the horror vibe imo
I think a similar kind of lighting as in these could work, if it was made a smidge darker (bit after the sunset so you can't see it anymore, but it's still not pitch-black, like Dead Dawg), and fog was added in, (since TCM has no fog anywhere) it could look good.
-
I agree mostly.
More chests and better loot in chests is a thing that should've happened years ago.
I had a very similar idea with the safe in basement, only with the difference that it was tied to a new Map add-on.
Luck affecting Chests would be nice.
I also really agree that killer props, especially TVs, Fountains and Control Stations should get priority.
-
Not sure why they didn't start making backgrounds a thing you can buy yet.
It's literally RIGHT THERE.

Sure thing!
Add in a bit more fog, and you are set.
I really think this would look great.
-
I don't necessarily want it to go back to the old lighting with the yellow filter, but I'd adore a similar kind of lighting like in Family House or Abandoned Mill in the TCM game.
-
Yup, that was Security Breach. Sister Location is the one which introduced Circus Baby.
