So, ever since the Early Access sneak peak, people have noticed the lack of basically anything movie related in the anniversary chapter. No Camp Crystal Lake, no Tommy Jarvis, not even a mention of the general area in his lore. BHVR seemingly has to dance on eggshells to avoid even a whiff of a mention of anything movie related so they don't get sued. But here is the thing, Jason Universe own6 comments 916 views last activity

So, I'll try my hand at making a draft too. To catch up those who aren't aware, here is what one of the Grimoire perks should look like: There's no denying it sucks, numbers wise and also, imo, conceptually. So, what do I mean by that? It's really simple. The reason we can't have anything nice, the reason all the new players quit, the reason why "everyone tunnels/everyone is genrushing". It's us. The "I HAVE to win" mentality, the constant Us VS Them arguments, the sheer, radioactive toxicity oozing out of every interaction between players. BHVR doesn't help as much as they should. True. So, the flashlights currently have 13 addons, not counting the Halloween Bulb. And, out of all the items, the Flashlight addons are the least varied by a mile. 4 addons only increase blind duration (brightness is almost meaningless so it does not count) 4 addons increase the charge amount 2 addons increase the accuracy (mostly useless as far as I'm informed?) Prologue: A Buggy Prelude On the 28th of November 2024, we recieved the Doomed Course chapter. The name is quite fitting, as this chapter was seemingly doomed from the start. The new killer, The Houndmaster, quickly joined The Twins and The Knight as the candidate for the buggiest killer ever . Some time ago, I bought The Twins. I bought them for their perks, mainly, knowing their unpopularity and history. But, I felt obligated to play at least one match with them. And surprisingly, they are really fun! Victor snipes feel great, you can outplay most loops very well, and overall, there are not nearly as buggy as I expected (at least they are very much playable). Do you like his current power more, or was the old one better? Is he too weak? Is he too strong? Is he interactive? Do you like his new add-ons? Does he need buffs? Nerfs? Changes? What do you think? My personal opinion is that he is not higher than a B tier killer, and some buffs should definitely happen, especially in areas which were nerfed from his original form. Hello, Myers players old and new, enjoyers and mains! As we all know, the 9.2.0 update has brought upon us a Myers rework. This rework has, most notably, tacked on a rather... generic dash power onto Myers instead of his normal Tier 3. Personally, I would be in favor of completely scrapping the lunge, BUT I know that the dev team has spent a lot of time on him and that many players adore the ne36 comments 556 views last activity

1. Michael Myers. Congatulations, you have made an icon of your old design into a generic DashSlop™ killer. Scratched Mirror is an iri, Tuft of Hair is yellow (oh no, GREEN actually), and the stalk economy was turned into a tacky cooldown for an Oni charge. 2. Monitor & Abuse... Who is this change catered to? The 5 killers that have 40 meter TR? Soo useful, right? Especially since there are6 comments 251 views last activity

So, the time finally came. We got the anti-tunneling changes. And imo, they are a bit too heavyhanded. Here are they in full, with highlights on what seems excessive. Hello everyone! So, I am now on post talking about how I'd improve an item type number 4. (Links for the rest at the end of the post.) Now, it's time for toolboxes. So the Fog Vial opacity is getting reverted back to its PTB value. This is good, as this was a tad too much basekit. Except... We still have the PTB nerf that reduced the size of the cloud to 8 meters. Fog Vials will have their rechargeability removed (as confirmed by the Community Manager), and replaced with amount of uses. So, Quests got an update this patch… And it mostly doubled down on the fomo tactics. But, before I tell you the cons, I will first talk about the good stuff: The "Into The Fog" quests are amazing for newbies. I'm glad the devs decided to expand the tutorial like this. Hello! In this discussion, I will talk about how I'd improve the new-ish item - Fog Vials. While they are, in my opinion, a very nice idea and freshen up the game, they undeniably have issues. Unfortunately, BHVR chose the sledgehammer approach and now they suck. So, here is what I'd do: General things: • The potency of the effect should be the same in every realm. So, I'll get to the point quickly. The new Keys are, without a doubt, an improvement over the old ones, aside from maybe Skeleton Key. I like the new abilities Keys have now, so no complaints. The Broken Key still existing is... a choice, but it's easier to swallow now it's brown. As to the add-ons... I don't like the prospect of only 5 of them, and how the Blood Amber was handled. Hello, devs and forum users! With one of the QOL updates, Maps have been updated. My opinion is that their basekit is mostly fine, but some of the uniqueness was lost in the changes. About what is wrong with them, I agree with @jesterkind entirely . Currently, generators are only revealed when you activate the Beam of Light. So, it's safe to say this solution didn't end up very good. Many people disliked it, and in the end, it pretty much equals to nothing. This is an interesting point of discussion I found scrolling through DbD's socials. With this Masquerade being the last one, people are wondering what will happen to Tryks, and there are many options, but that's not the main point. Among these discussions, sometimes someone starts wondering if Tryks isn't the person Sable will once become. There definitely are some pieces of evidence towards i8 comments 251 views last activity

I was playing as Hag on the Grim Pantry, with Rusty Shackles and Dried Cicada as add-ons, and Surge, Sloppy Butcher, Corrupt and Haunted Grounds. Currently, when a survivor is hooked next to a door, it can still be used. This creates impossibly fast saves, but more importantly, it gives Afton an extreme potential to proxy-camp and tunnel, likes of which we have not seen since the Hag. Even she pales in comparison to him, as you could disable all the traps she sets up, but you can't stop him from using the door right next to the hook. My29 comments 422 views last activity

So, in 8.7.0, colors of the Rare and Uncommon rarity were changed for no real reason. And, many of us hated it. Hello, this is a simple request to change to one of the most annoying achievements in all of DbD - Outbreak Breakout. This achievement (if you didn't know) requires you to open one of the Exit Gates and escape from the RCPD Station 20 times. So, some time ago, I proposed some changes that the devs could do to Houndmaster to make her a better killer. I'd like to redo them in this post. Constructive feedback is appreciated. Here they are: Chase Command: • Make Snug's pull cycles faster. In short, this makes Snug have more pull strength. Search Command: • Polish it up so it snaps to stuff better. In her current state, the only add-on that could be remotely called a bit too strong is the Severed Hands, and even that add-on is fine (keep in mind we have Dried Cherry Blossom, Torn Bookmark, Iri Hatchet and Tombstone Piece in this game) The rest is just decent, mid or bad. It's the mask. It's ugly, it looks goofy, like someone lazily put a curved piece on the mask and called it a day. A plague doctor style mask would be so, SO much better looking. Just my 2 cents.5 comments 161 views last activity

Fun fact: Artist recieved exactly one change since her release, that being Lightburn removal on crows. This, combined with the fact that every killer that came after or around the time she got released got some adjustments, sometimes really heavy ones, makes her join the likes of Hag and Myers, the killers that got the least changes. First of all, I really, REALLY hate the new colors they did for the normal 5 tiers. They are confusing for both old AND new players (because people will still use the term yellow medkit and everyone will get confused), they are ANTI-ACCESIBILITY (worse for colorblind people), and completely unnecessary, given they were changed to "make the game more like other games".
