Just do this
"Replaces survivor's grunts of pain with breathing sounds"
That's all it needs. These other people's changes would just turn it into a niche, 1-star perk that only immersed Claudettes would use.
-
I love fighting Trickster
And by that I mean it's hilarious
Regular old pallet-between-rocks tiles turn into massive loops because of the fact that he's 110, and every time he tries to throw over the loop you can just duck down and keep looping. Indoor maps are even worse, you can loop a Trickster for 5 gens on Lery's.
He's only really good on maps that are already killer-sided IE: Shelter Woods, Dead Dawg. He wrecks people on those maps, but at that point I'd rather just play Bubba and have the same lethality with faster pallet destruction.

I respect your opinion, as well, so long as you've learned/know the map.
I personally hate Lery's, The Game and pretty much every map on Autohaven(Wretched Shop is alright). We all have our preferences.
It is objectively a sub-optimal map for DBD (Yes, there is objective quality if we frame the standard as an even playing field with a game that lasts about 10 minutes)
It's twice the size of Mother's Dwelling and labyrinthine in design, with the average game I've experienced thus far being 15-20 minutes

If you've supposedly faced over one thousand people who you think need to be reported for 'unsportsmanlike behaviour', then maybe the problem isn't them.
The average DBD player is extremely unsportsmanlike

Clown and Jeff
Clown has the best maniacal laugh I've ever heard
Jeff has my favorite cosmetics
-
The difference between purple and red rank is actually quite small, though a green killer shouldn't be getting matched with reds ever
Probably just the game wigging out, you're way outside the median rank there

That Spot has to go to No Mither.
No Mither is good for a genrush build with Resilience, Spine Chill and Prove Thyself
-
I have DC'd several times on Haddonfield as killer
I'm normally very against DCing, but the frustration of that survivor playground drives me up the wall
-
You're just being annoying
-
Run Borrowed Time
-
Fixated + Sprint Burst + Quick n Quiet + (perk of your choice)
Sprint Burst away from the killer into a building. You can see your own scratch marks, so throw the killer off by leading them one way, then doubling back and jumping in a locker
-
You got messages in the post-game chat? That's one in a million bro. Most of the time I'm the only PC player, so they can't talk to me. It's been peaceful since cross-platform.

Jaws is a shark, not a person…
You should really look into who clown is based off, and decide if it’s a good idea to humanise the DBD version of him.
Clown and John Wayne Gacy didn't even kill the same type of people
John Wayne Gacy was a closet homosexual that killed teenage boys
Clown kills random people at the circus
You're getting up in arms about nothing

Yes, you’re right that you’re not, however by doing some tragic backstory, it’s humanising someone who shouldn’t be humanised. In the same way that a movie about person Clown is based on that I will not name that portrays him as anything other than a monster is problematic and disrespectful to the victims.
If they want creative freedom, they shouldn’t base killers on real life evil.
That's like saying we shouldn't make Jaws movies for the sake of shark attack victims
They can just not watch it, we shouldn't abandon creative freedom for the sake of an infinitesimal portion of the population
-
You're mistaking people with toaster computers for cheaters
Very few people use a VPN in this game. It's actually an unpleasant experience as you yourself will be lagging hard because the server's trying to mediate between your actions and theirs. You can get some cheap hits, but are they really worth getting when you're rubber-banding all over the place?
-
You're not supposed to feel sympathy for him anymore than you feel sympathy for that kid that kills neighborhood cats
He's a malevolent individual. Enjoy his evil tendencies.

If so, which one should I use Corrupt Intervention, Distressing, Coulrophobia and the other perk?
Oh, sorry I read your post backwards. I would use Save The Best For Last.
-
Use Alert and possibly Dark Sense
It'll let you keep tabs on the killer and help you plan your escape route, since you know where the killer will be coming from.
Information is the key to solo survival
-
Get rid of Brutal Strength and add both Distressing & Coulrophobia
Use your power to stop pallets from being dropped in the first place. It gets easier the more you do it.
-
Survivor is a boring drag that's only worth doing because it's more forgiving on your mistakes. Hold m1 for 80 seconds, run, hold m1 for another 80 seconds
Friday had amazing survivor gameplay and I had hoped initially that it would prompt DBD to make more alternative objectives.

Not really as the back window is still a near infinite WITH the door broken and its still next to shack and the gallows' god pallet.
What kills survivors 90% of the time is completing the safe generators first then being left with the generators in the massive deadzones the map has.
That building is far, far from an infinite
The vast majority of killers can use their power to get a quick down once they've broken the wall
-
Or how about this one
->survivor gets unhooked
->travel 5 miles back to the hook in like 7 seconds
->unhooker is insta-slugged and left to reflect on why they bother playing the game
->unhooked survivor is smacked and immediately placed back on the hook

And it has been proven before he was reworked that he was still a fun balanced killer despite there being no double pallets and no vacuum.
If you want to get pallets out the way you play blight or bubba as they absolutely much through pallets. Old Billy while he was still decent at getting pallets down requires you to catch them in a chase through mindgames, curves and zoning.
He was honestly the complete opposite of a crutch.
->hook first survivor
->see next survivor with BBQ
-> zoom over in 2 seconds
-> he drops a pallet, smash through it immediately
-> watch him helplessly zig zag as you mow him down easily
Old Billy with BBQ was one of the crutchiest things you could possibly use in this game
-
It's a giant maze and you'll be frustrated with it
-
Yes, quit acting like that was actually a scene
-
Friday had a survivor experience 10x more interesting than DBD
That lawsuit was the worst thing that happened to this genre

I know right? Having infinite one shots against rank 20 survivors who don't know what a pallet or window is is pretty OP.
Fortunately I balance around people with more than 7 hours in the game, and in terms of good players, the overheat was an unneeded mechanic that only made billy less fun and worse.
Billy came out when there were double the number of available pallets on the map with pallet vacuum
Old Billy is an absolute crutch in today's DBD
-
"what the heck???? OVERHEAT???? You mean I don't have infinite mobility with infinite one-shots anymore????? WHAT THE HECK it was perfectly balanced!!!!!"
-
It's one of those maps where I hear a generator, but can't find the entrance to the room before it pops
Like Gideon²

The map is a series of chained strong tiles ringing a deadzone. You actually play it by forcing the survivors into the corners.
The killer only needs to knock out a couple tiles before they have a perfect dead zone around a 3-gen
2 always spawn in the field of nothingness
1 spawns next to good stuff, but just get the 2 most immediate pallets kicked out and you're good
-
The map is one giant dead zone outside the very corners, you can handle it

Is it proxy camping if he’s just standing in the corner 3 feet away? Not arguing, I’m just not sure what the exact definition of proxy camping is.
I mean, that's a less optimal way to do it, but it still frequently works.
-
@Orion said:
Agreed, 100%. This is especially true of killers like Nurse and Spirit, which some people like to claim "have no counters".
Flipping a coin isn't a counter

It’s baby play, but I found it surprising how it kept happening across at LEAST three different Trappers.
If Trapper gets a basement hook, he has no reason to do anything else. Proxy camping shack is the obvious best play.
-
I use Lithe more than the others, you have more absolute control over it.
-
Are you coming back from a long hiatus? There was an update called "The Realm Beyond" that pruned and spread out the pallet spawns a bit more. Most maps simply have less loops now.
-
Even if it gets cleansed immediately, Ruin saved you 20 seconds by making that survivor run over and cleanse it

I'm genuinely asking.
They have house of pain, I have a basement within a basement.
Fair trade

Just played a Doc game where they sent me to Haddonfield, Crotus Prenn Asylum, Badham, and Coldwind.
It's like a cacophany of ######### Killer maps, but thankfully I got a lucky one and got Father Campbell's Chapel which is fairly balanced.
I don't wish for map offerings to go away, but stuff like this really makes me consider it.
Badham is actually my favorite map as both killer and survivor
Killer mains over-exaggerate how survivor-sided that map is. Once you've busted the car pallets, that whole stretch becomes easy downs

Yes please, what a horrible map. Breakable walls every corner, exclusively unsafe pallets, half the map is a dead zone, bad gen placements, etc. Awful map
Saloon is so absurdly easy as killer that I feel like an ass for winning
the 3-gens are so tight I can stand in one spot and have full visual on them
-
Clown likes it Chicago-style
-
Dead By Daylight is now Dead At 8 AM, and I don't think the reasoning is very good
Sure, it used to be easier for survivors to hide back when the map was darker, but what good is hiding realistically? Teams don't win by Urban Evasioning behind rocks. I see no reason to believe this was actually a significant advantage.
-
You ever met one of them cats, kah-jeet I think they call themselves. Heard there's whole countries of them down south.

Space is a key on a keyboard. Controller buttons over time have less give when you press them. They get stuck. Not like they don't come back up, but they rub against the sides of their slot that the button itself sits in. Unless it's a brand new controller, the buttons aren't gonna be consistent, especially when you need a knee jerk reaction. That's why we have so many console players complaining about Dead Hard's uselessness, not just because of dedicated servers, but also because it's a button and not a key.
you are very desperate to find the tiniest thing to complain about
The input time difference between x and space is so infinitesimal you'd have to actually measure it with something other than the human eye

Nemesis should drag them by the foot with one hand & then fling them onto the hook

I have not had a sloppy joe in years. They were a rare treat when I was a kid.
There's always a big-ass tupperware container full of it in my house, the leftovers are just as good as when you first make them.

I chow down a sloppy joe between games if I get hungry

Do certain maps have higher likelihood than others to be played? Cause I've played Coldwind Farm once in the past 2 weeks, and Autohaven/Yamaoka has been chosen multiple times a day. Hell, I've played RCPD several times this week, but not one Coldwind map.
