Clown is fine.
Freddy needs a nerf but he's licensed so they'll leave him in a godlike state.
Buy Freddy. Buy Leatherface for bbq. Profit.

She honestly should have been looked at way before Billy.

This makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Forcing someone to play in a miserable match is not something that needs to come back. Doing so will only result in suicides to get out of there.

I agree that the hitboxes are a huge problem but since the dedicated server have been introduced the bs hits became more noticeable. In my experience I've missed a lot of hatchets that should have connected I find it is less common but it happens.
As for your call for nerfs to her base kit. The directional lullaby was changed because any survivor with headphones could tell where you were and get out of the area before you would see them. Wanting less hatchets is generally a bad idea you lose a lot of pressure by reloading as is making it so you would make that worse.
Thanks for the decent comment. It is extremely bad and if the huntress is remotely skilled it exacerbates the problem because you are not learning to hit your target, you are learning to abuse the hitbox. That is horrible game design and I never feel outplayed when I verse her like I do the other killers. The survivors being able to avoid the killer with the lullaby is the way it should be. Why would you think that counterplay shouldn't exists? Being a ranged killer makes it even more important. They could try for 4 hatchets and she would still be fine, as long as they also fix the hitboxes. Remember, if you are only mediocre with her, you shouldn't need 5 chances to down someone.

Because deleting content of any kind is absolutely dumb and unrealistic, that's definitely a mob. As much as I despise decisive I don't want it to be straight up deleted and removed, it should be reworked into a comfortably balanced state for both sides that's no longer as abusable as it is, but still functions (and functions well) as an anti-tunneling tool.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1475971#Comment_1475971
If it were anywhere near that simple, this thread would not be 5 pages long with over 120 comments on it. Eating the stun is precisely the problem, in too many scenarios you have no choice but to eat the stun but it's not the stun itself that's the problem it's the chase you have to go through afterward. I have no idea why people like you suggest "it's just a 4 second stun" that's absolutely absurd, it's a 4 second stun followed by something like a minimum of a 20 second chase.
Saying it's just a 4 second stun is absurd because that would imply they are standing still after they decisive which obviously: they. are. not. Taking away all factors like map, and killer and for the sake of my point assuming all killers move at 4.6m/s, even if survivors didn't do any looping or vaulting through windows at all and just ran in a straight line it would take the killer roughly 25 seconds just to catch up to a survivor in a static environment. You can get the same number from this simple equation y = 4x + 16 and y = 4.6x
y = total distance, x = time, 4 m/s is the movement speed survivors move at plus the 16 meters they moved over the 4 seconds they ran while the killer is standing still stunned. You can put this into a calculator yourself if you wanted to check 116 = 4(25) + 16 and for killer 115 = 4.6(25). Assuming lunge distance is about 1-2 meters which is me just spitballing I'm not actually sure about that number, so give or take maybe a second or two depending on how long a lunge is on your average killer.
25 seconds. Just to catch up to a survivor running in a perfectly straight line, not even considering how long that survivor manages to run a loop after they decide they finally need to drop a pallet or vault a window to prevent getting hit. 25 seconds (minimum) is more than enough time to get a large chunk of a generator done or multiple if you've got different people working on different gens all at once.
Boiling it down to the "4 second stun" as if it's hardly anything is once again, mis-labeling the issue and deliberately deceitful.
It's not an anti-tunnel perk. It helps serve that purpose. You haven't seen abuse until it has deactivation rules. Killers will be able to tunnel when it can be easily deactivated.

LMAO dude really just showed his BP gain as a flex. I'm sorry, delete this thread, that was embarrassing.... Especially to look over to escapes, survives, saves, etc. And not see your name anywhere near the top 🙄
The first two years I was almost exclusively a killer main when killer was the hardest. Who's embarassed now?

She is fair to play against, also I looked at that leaderboard and laughed
BP doesn’t show skill, just like rank as well...it all is playtime and BP gain can be increased greatly during 2x events, usage of offerings, and playtime.
And the oppressive thing, that would mean all killers would need to be nerfed as all killers can be as oppressive as her, you can’t nerf players and if you nerf a killer because of how like 2 people play her that is terrible. She is balanced.
Killers should get nerfed if anyone can play them and are instantly good as them and they have no counters, huntress has several counters along with taking alot of skill to play. No nerfs are needed outside of just her UR add-on
Why do you think Nurse and Billy was nerfed? Was it A) some players were too good with her and was too oppressive B) the state of the game has changed to warrant the nerfs
Based on your assertion, she warrants a nerf.
From an analytic point of view, I use to hardly see Huntress until dedicated servers came about. Ever since, I would say she is the most common killer I verse as survivor. I don't even main her at all and I find her unbelievably easy because as I stated, I hold the hatchet at every window and if they lock in animation, I throw it, if they try to fake it, I still throw it and hit them. At loops I throw above the wall and their head and hit them. That is not balanced gameplay. There is no defense against her if the killer is good.
Yes, I didn't mention iri-heads. To be honest, it wouldn't be that bad if the hitboxes was FAIR. My biggest problem is the hitboxes and the fairness.

Her hitbox is fine xD
Latency makes it look bad but it definitely connected on the killer’s side, which will probably be fixed with the dedi server change that is coming with midchapter
We'll see then. I still think she needs minor adjustments to make her more fair to play against as I mentioned above.
In the right hands, she is too oppressive to play against in her current iteration.

Lol git gud
Honestly shes fairly balanced, and i dont see why you drop pallets or vault windows if you know shes going to throw at you. If you are a ranked 18 in the world on a party game , you shouldnt have that big of a problem.
Dead By Daylight Playerstats, cosmetics, perk info/randomiser, shrine and moreSee for yourself. Where are you on the list? I got gud on the day it released while you still had a bottle in your mouth.
Do you want to have a civil discussion about her hitbox problem or do you want to continue down this path?

@Hoodied said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1477786#Comment_1477786
okay let me explain this better so you can understand why they can’t change her hitbox easily by using the most comparable killer to her, DeathSlinger.
Deathslinger has a pea sized hitbox, which can cause hitbox issues where you shoot through survivors. Due to how servers work and latency you have no purpose in changing her hitbox or else hits will go through when they should actually land. The only unbalanced thing is her iri head when mixed with infantry belt.
And I am pretty sure everyone and there mother knows that you can counter her hatchets by not running in a straight line or not being predictable as high hell. Crouching also helps to avoid her hatchets. Reducing her hatchet count would be a terrible idea as she, like all 110% killers, needs to have a strong power to assist downing survivors, which is why the infantry belt + iri head combo has issues due to her having 3 hatchets that deal 2x damage, meaning her power can down 3 survivors without needing to ever reload, compared to her 5 hatchets that can only down 2 healthy survivors and injure 1 as long as she doesn’t miss.
And according to the post with you and @Awakey, you are in the top 20, so that means you should know all of this unless you are lying
A projectile is a projectile so your justification for one having a vastly different size is considered inaccurate. All I care about is for the hitbox to be "FAIR". Right now it is NOT fair against Huntress. The devs are doing an injustice in not looking at this killer.
-
@Awakey said:
Ah yes, the classic "my opinion is fact and I won't listen to anyone else"

Yep, out of the 5+ million copies sold, I am in the top 20 on the unofficial DBD leaderboards. My opinion is pretty damn good and I know it is more accurate than yours because only 17 people have more experience than me.
-
@Hoodied said:
They tried before and the results were not good as her hatchets would sometimes go through vaulting survivors and survivors in general.
Anyways, she is probably one of the most balanced killers in this game
This means they need to go back to the drawing board and get it right. No, she is not balanced as I stated why.
-
@Alphasoul05 said:
Huntress is one of the most balanced killers in the entire game next to Billy, and while her hitboxes are a bit wonky at times, that's mostly a server issue. The speed of a hatchet it also slower than the speed of DS shot, and you seem to be forgetting that Deathslinger has to reload, which doesn't take all that long, and the Huntress gives you more than enough time to get plenty of distance between her throw, windup and charge.
Her lullaby also has no reason to be changed because anyone with awareness can hear her coming a mile away and open their eyes or prepare to get to a safer area, which is far more indication than a DS that can easily sneak up on you out of nowhere with M&A.
And zero counterplay? Well, maybe if you have zero skill, which is something Huntress does take to play. But, you're right, it's the killers fault, it's the hitboxes fault, it's certainly never your fault, you always outplay her and if you can't well, better make a post saying to nerf her in 10 different ways, right?
Wrong. Next to Spirit, she is the most unfair killer in dead by daylight, especially for solos. Billy has counterplay, but this killer has none. You are either 1) huntress main enjoying your 4Ks all day long or 2) has never versed a true huntress main
Tell me how looking behind you will beat the huntress when she holds the hatchet waiting for you to get in animation to vault a window or throw a pallet? You are doomed either way. Nevermind if she is so bad they miss 4 times in a row if you are injured, the 5th one she throws way over your head at a loop and it hits you. Yeah, only in this game that happens.
The reload for DS will you give you plenty of time, usually, to run away if he misses. Huntress can quickly pickup another hatchet.
Huntress was released when the state of the game had a million more pallets, the maps were significantly larger, infinites and god loops exists, sprint burst could replish mid-chase, decisive strike was pre-hook defense, and insta-heals existed along with insta-gens. Oh, and at that time she was released, we had peer-to-peer connections which made her hatchets more fair. So survivors have been nerfed into the ground since that time, dedicated servers has ruined her hitboxes, lullaby was changed to be omni-directional, and you are telling me she is still fair and most balanced killer in the game. Give me a break.

Buddy don't tell me what I am and what I am not. I try my best to be logical and objective which is why I can easily say killers have it worse and I dont play killer nearly as much as survivor. Its because im.not biased and taking sympathy or looking at truth does not mean that I favor one side
Oh pleez. Killers don't have it worse buddy. I can easily win most of the time and you can watch any streamer on twitch and they win almost every damn time. Give it a rest.

Ok first im a survivor main, I do play a good amount of killer and ive played at high ranks and seen just about every b.s. strat each side can do. So this is my opinion on DS. First it DOES need a rework. But not a nerf or a buff, I think it should be more situational and anti tunnel. First it deactivates if someone else is hooked when the perk is active. Second the timer is permanent unless you get fully healed or work on gens. Because if you want to progress the game you have to realize by negating pressure the killer has you should lose your invinciblity. I think this would fix alot of its misuse, because it should drive you to heal and still give the killer pressure not make you invincible. And as for unbreakable well with these changes it would still balance this and unbreakable is fine as is. So I hope you guys see my reasoning and also im only doing this as like a rough draft so its not a full idea and it can be built upon like it deactivates permanently if the exits are powered or gens get finis hed way too fast because then a killer has to comeback somehow
I find it hard to believe you are a survivor main. I don't even main survivor exclusively and find this proposition the worst I have ever seen. Perks that synergize is supposed to be stronger together. You are actually feeling sorry for a killer for losing, the gates are OPENED, and you want a survival perk disabled.
What happens if the killer is a stealth killer, he waits for you to get unhooked, touch a gen, or get fully healed, and then commences to tunnel because he knowingly knows DS is disabled? This is why it shouldn't have deactivation conditions because it be so easily exploited by killers, and it is precisely why killers want this.
NO! It was already reworked. Stop crying about a situational perk.

Same way we know dinosaurs existed. Same way we know anything old that isn't around now existed. If you want proper facts, heres NASA. Evidence | Facts – Climate Change: Vital Signs of the Planet
If you can give me something without an agenda and with more credibility than ######### NASA, I might entertain your beliefs.
We know dinosaurs exists because of hard facts, being fossils. However, knowing the "precise" temperature of the atmosphere across that entire timeline is impossible. They can estimate and they know from studying the surface that there has been periods of warming and cooling and humans have only been here a tiny part of that history. My point is they can't prove humans is causing global warming. We can't even predict the path of a hurricane with 100% accuracy, we certainly don't know everything about the highest parts of the atmosphere when we can't even predict the lower part of it.

Not man-made global warming, but the Earth naturally has periods of warming and cooling.
-
Everyone use to talk about global warming too, and said Barrack Obama becoming the first black president would end the racial divide once and for all. Look at us today. A country falling apart and global warming didn't exist, and buildings being burned to the ground and innocent white people shot in the streets because "everyone is talking about" how racist the most free country on the planet is. "Everyone" is not always right.
DS is a drop in the bucket to what a killer can bring in a match, whether it be a killer with broken hitboxes or unfair perk combinations.
I know this. Killers love to tunnel and DS is standing in their way. They also love to decimate a team to feed the ego and DS says "not today Charlie". If killers can equip oppressive loadouts, then survivors should have methods of defense and DS doesn't even cut the mustard.

And you speak for everyone? That lame anecdotal excuse is hardly worth anything. I can just as easily tell you how many times I've had DS used against me boldly and offensively to singlehandedly win matches where everyone and their mother is running DS so I'm forced to concede pressure and have no means of any kind of counterplay without being pinned in a situation where I'm stunned and have to go through another chase all over again. Hell there's a reason why Scott calls the classic DS-Unbreakable combo "the small pp build"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v_vLlMdu1Sc&t=4s
But note that most of this video talks about Decisive Strike, because by itself Unbreakable isn't as much of a problem as DS is.
Even if I hadn't thrown up Scott's video to corroborate what I'm saying, anecdotally speaking my word is just as good as yours and therefore that would put us at a standstill.
On top of that the real difference is, these threads are cropping up because people want to see Decisive changed, not because they want to see it stay the same. Pages full of dozens of comments and hundreds of views, all receiving lots of attention, and many pushing for change.
Remember, mob mentality doesn't make it right.

the perk should be reworked
they can add even 30 seconds to this perk but it should be cancled if surv starts repairing gen/healing others etc
the most frustrating thing is when you make a circle round map see injured survs reparing gen you put them in to the dying state, then you are picking them up and you get stunned.
then you curse all this "antitullening" stuff people talking about
im fifne with anti tunneling if everyone demans it but when insolent surv starts playing agressive it has nothing to do with antitunneling they simply feel their immortality, they can finish an important gen and so on.
also 1 minute espesially in the late game is INSANE amout of time. I count each second when i play killer 5-10 seconds wasted seconds means i missed a gen.
This is insane even at the beggining because good survs can make 2-3 gens in several mintues.
You got to be joking. Name me a killer perk that just magically disables when they do the objective.
If you think DS is insane in the late game, try to win with Whispers when you are the only one left.

Right. Imbalance map and perk combo, known to have their own issues, but you're using a strong build yourself, so sit down and shut up, right? That's what you're going for? I believe we call that a red herring.
Imbalance is all in perception. What if the killrate on the map was normal, or higher?
Instead of red herring, I would say if it is fair for the goose it is fair for the gander.

So I just had a 3 player SwF, all running Object of Obsession bring an offering to go to Midwich Elementary School. From the moment they spawned they just ran around to stay on the opposite corner of the map to me the WHOLE match.
The random was the only person I could actively chase so they suicided very early after realising that their team were not playing the game properly. I had to run around in circles for about 15 minutes to get two of them to kill themselves on hook while the final guy got hatch.
They got really toxic because I was playing infinite tier 3 Myers (Which I was only playing to use up items before prestige) but had I not randomly done this: they would have wasted even more of my time.
I understand Survive with Friends can be advantageous and a lot of fun but when you & your friend's idea of "fun" is abusing a questionably designed map and a very broken perk to waste the time of other random players and actively ignoring standard objectives, I think they are going just a bit too far. Surely playing the game for the sole purpose of wasting people's time and making them angry should not be okay.
They just told me to keep crying, stop playing broken toxic killers, stop playing solo and get a life. Said that they couldn't be banned for just playing the game (though they arguably weren't).
After 1100+ hours in this game trust me, I'm almost used to people being very uncivil and absurdly hateful at times. But surely doing all of this must be some kind of bannable offense (Even if it is just temporary). It's really unhealthy for people to "play" like this and not have any form of consequences.
Your fun should NEVER be just trying to ruin other people's fun.
Do I report these players? Have they actually broken any rules set out by the developers? Clearly something needs to be done because as long as they keep getting Mary's Letter offerings they can keep doing this to people.

I'll admit they should have played the game normally but I think it is funny they stopped your build. You brought in an infinite tier 3 Myers, fully expecting to win, and they stopped you. Grow a pair and stop whining about a perk, you used your best and whining like a baby because they used something of their own to counter you.

"close to 75%" is not 3 kills. It's still an average of 2 kills as we're talking about players so rounding up is not correct. It's still a 2k average with a high tendency for a 3k. There's not "half a survivor" afterall.
Also no killer even had a 75% kill rate (at least not across ALL ranks which is more relevant than only red ranks when talking about advertising a game). Even on red ranks only Freddy, Spirit and Hillbilly were either at or above 75%. That's literally only 3 killers out of 20 and one of them just got nerfed.
On top of that the kill rates themselves aren't even relevant anymore as they were recorded BEFORE THE RUIN CHANGE.
And even when they were released the devs themselves told everyone to take the stats with a grain of salt as they included afk survivors, survivors that suicided on hooks, disconnects etc.
Yet people are still using these (outdated) stats from 2019. Unbelieveable.
Ruin was changed, maps are considerably smaller, strong loops eradicated, and lots of deadzones added to the maps. This might be enough to push the killrates even higher. If I remember correctly, Freddy had a higher killrate than Billy so why wasn't Freddy nerfed? He is bringing home the bacon. AFKs, suicides, and disconnects are the most important stat. I bet it is through the roof with Freddy. I almost never saw anyone DC against Billy.

1 survivor is 25% in a trial so everything below 75% is still within the average of 2 kills per trial.
Close to 75% is 3 kills. Do the devs want to advertise a game where their only hope is the hatch?
-
The devs will have a lot of explaining to do if they add a hardship at the beginning of a match when the average killrate is already well over 60%. This means they are abandoning their 50% killrate goal and balancing heavily towards killers. The endgame is already killer sided so the beginning shouldn't be changed, especially when the killrates are so high.

DS has a direct counter that isn't slugging? Even if the exit gates are opened and they are within crawling distance to get there before their DS runs out? What if they have DS AND Unbreakable? Do tell.
Dead harding for distance has a counter? Do tell. And no, baiting doesn't work when it's for distance. Unbreakable has a counter, sure. Don't slug. I suppose. However, slugging is a key part of playing killer. So unbreakable is a counter, to a counter, that forces killers not to use their counter. My god, lol. In any case, saying "don't slug" as a counter to unbreakable is like telling a killer to slug as a counter to DS. It's stupid, and like a book full of plot holes.
Pop DOES have a counter. It's called repressed alliance, it's a perk that just came out with Pyramidhead. The survivor can block the gen from pop. Kind of like their version of thrilling tremors. Except this perk blocks the gen for 30 seconds instead of 16. Brush up on your game knowledge, bud. Then come back and try harder.
Did you also know that repressed alliance has a very long cooldown? It's not the perfect counter by any means.
You are not entitled to every kill in every situation, so if the gates are opened you might want to down someone else or is tunneling your preference?

Ignoring the fact that Killers don't get skill checks, what is the Killer skillfully trying to do? Kick the gen hard enough?
There's nothing skillful in turning 360 degrees after hooking someone, seeing an aura, blinking there instantly, removing objective progress. Rinse and repeat.
-
It definitely needs looking into. When combined with BBQ on a killer like Freddy, it is overpowered and very unfair. At a minimum, it should have a difficult skillcheck before removing progress. You shouldn't be able to blanket remove objective progress for simply doing your own objective. It is like the Freddy rework was rushed without considering existing perks.

You do realise the mindgames you can pull off with that fact right?
Let's say the killer is coming towards you. You get an headstart no matter whatever his TR is (Deathslinger can go as low as 16m and doctor and Myers can go even lower). Which means the killers lose their element of surprise and the opportunity to catch them offguard. Now if the killer is coming towards you, you look at the killer and go right and then look away and run the opposite direction. Or just look away and run any of the directions. The connection is controlled by the survivor which means he gets information whenever he wants.
As for in loops (Freddy/nemesis) survivors get wallhacks on killers and so does killers. But let's be honest here, who gets the most benefit out of that? It's the survivors. Killers have to predict and mindgame loops to catch survivors. This throws that out the window.
As for trapper, what information does the killer get on the survivor who always is on the move and can move without looking at the killer as opposed to a stationary trap that cannot move on it's own. If the survivor sees the trapper place the trap, it's not like the trap can run and reposition itself. It's compromised and destroys trapper. Also helps against hag. You know where she sets up her web and loop her the opposite side and when she picks someone up, trigger all her webs.
And I'm saying this for the third time, 100% information on killer at the cost of 25% cost of information of survivor doesn't seem balanced to me. Also magnified by SWF
To be fair, with perks like infectious freight, BBQ, whispers, nurses calling, I'm all Ears, all exists, I wouldn't be complaining about OoO.

Yes, badly.

Being able to get information on killer's whereabouts every time and whenever he chooses is very oppressing to a killer like trapper, hag and essentially gives wallhacks against freddy. Besides, you can still detect the general direction of where the stealth killer is with this perk. I think the intention of this perk is to have the survivor be the first to get chased but it gets severely abused. Removes surprise element of who the killer is. Also survivors get a massive headstart when the killer is approaching them while working on a gen. Giving away 100% information of killer at the cost of 25% information about survivors ONLY WHEN THE SURVIVOR WISHES is not a good design and needs rework immediately.
Also don't get me started on how easy it is to abuse the perk as a SWF.
You do realize the killer see's the survivor aura as well right? How much more drawback do you need?

First you want strong killers nerfed so they can't play fairly, then you want camping nerfed. That's next level.

Cool. Don't play they game then. So many people come in here and complain about what they don't like about the game and how it's trash yet.... They keep playing? Nah people just like to complain.
it's ridiculous you think Billy mains should all quit, talking about the community when you are the biggest problem for not being inclusive. You seem to share in the devs mentality.
But if DBD had competition that cared about ALL their players then I would have quit a long time ago.

Makes sense. Because then if they don't have time you can whine about how they mentioned it but didn't change anything. They can't win either way with this community. It's ridiculous.
I think it's ridiculous they nerfed him and turned his addons into poo poo.

They threw Billy mains a tiny sucker. He will still be garbage along with the wasteland of add-ons.
-
"They're only anti tunneling perks, and if I get DS'd that means I was tunneling."
That's where you are wrong.
-
Ask Scott what would Spirit Fury plus Enduring be called?
-
If they don't revert him, they'll have another nurse on their hands, a killer so difficult and unfun to use that you'll never see him.
Making add-ons so useless to make survivors happy is also a mistake.
