Sprint Burst can be controlled, used while healthy or injured, stop a chase from even happening, get you out of deadzones without taking a hit, works vs every killer
Overcome is overrated
DH is the best for sure though

Sprint Burst is way stronger

Sorry I don't watch Scott Jund videos either

People have good reasons as to why they don't want voice comms in this game, or at least don't think it's the solution to the game's balancing problems.
If BHVR just slapped on voice comms for DBD, and then balanced the game around that communication, then anyone who wouldn't want to use these voice comms would put themselves and their team at a disadvantage, the more people that wouldn't use voice comms in a team, the bigger their disadvantage. And beyond the fact that there are many people in the DBD community you wouldn't ever want to communicate with, there are indeed people that simply don't enjoy using voice comms with strangers in a game. So BHVR could still not balance the game around swf.
It has to go more in the direction that VHS went, where solo survivors have tools in game to communicate with other survivors. Voice comms as an option would of course be possible in that case.
People who don't use voice communications already put themselves and their team at a disadvantage.
SWF already gives people a huge advantage over Killers and SoloQ

You want the DbD community to have access to your ears?
Of course, I've played enough games with voice chat. Plus I will have easier games when I can communicate very politely with the potatoes I get as teammates.

Voice comms would be the theoretical perfect way to match SWF for Solos, but it does have a few problems that I think make a sort of quick notification wheel overall better.
If someone doesn't have a mic, doesn't speak the same language, or just plain doesn't want to talk to strangers (understandable), it doesn't do anything. And we all know how easy to abuse voice chat is.
But if you just had a response wheel that let you say things like "I'm on a generator!" "I'm being chased!" "I'm going to unhook!" ect ect, you'd get around all those problems. It naturally wouldn't be as good as pure unrestricted voice communication, but it would be a comfortable middle ground.
They could just do both, even though a response wheel is unnecessary. Hundreds of games have voice comms with no issue.

Are you getting bored sitting in queue so you're posting on the forums? Yeah me too.

I honestly don't think adding voice communications would make solo much better. Bad players will still make the experience a negative one. That isn't to say I don't want devs balancing around it, they definitely should. The game should be balanced around high level game play and the lower level players should just be lumped together until they gain experience and move up in ranks. They just need to improve their match making system and add some more parameters to it. The need a "time played" parameter that matches new players with each other and should be per 200 hours. This way, you won't have a killer with 10 hours facing a group with 3k hours, nor would you have a survivor with 3 hours go against a killer with 2k hours.
Voice comms would instantly make SoloQ better

Again, im pretty sure the video that he did, he presented 3 styles of play - all of which had retained positive rates.
No he did the same thing in all of them, he just used "nice" builds whatever that's supposed to mean
-
Very few killers are satisfied with 8hooks/0kills, that's a major reason why there's so much tunnelling and camping in the first place. Playing "nice" gets you a big fat L and 4 teabaggers at the gates.
Be careful when you say things like that because BHVR will take it to mean you're happy to lose every game, there's nothing they want more than 4E every single match to keep survivors happy and spending money. The only reason they even entertain killers with any concept of balance is because they haven't programmed a good enough AI.
-
I expect even more fatigue, tank controls in frenzy, possibly filling a token bar, animation lock, dizzy spells and vomiting after failed hit etc.
Just making him as clunky and unfun to play as possible, that seems to be the pattern.

He already had 2 hooks and was about to get a third when one gen popped. I found his devour and he left the chase to go cross map and find me. It’s not like this every game, and on games where I see a gen rush I definitely understand tunneling and camping better. I’m not mad about those strats on there own, it’s just when it’s at a high gen number, having a good start on hooks, and completely ignoring every other person except the one who did the totem where it gets really annoying.
He was a fool to bring hexes in the first place, you were right to punish his poor choice of perks but actions have consequences womp womp
-
fast gens fast kills
-
It needs to be buffed so survivors can do a shoryuken after the DH to punish the killer's whiff
-
They should add as many icons and auras as possible if they aren't going to take the simple solution (voice chat)
Eg: If a solo survivor spots a hex totem it should be highlighted to all other survivors for the rest of the game. It would be fine since SWF can do that through communication.
People have been trying to downplay SWF and comms for years but it completely changes the game.

If there's an indicator that shows people on gens and 1 person is hooked it will let you know someone might be going for save if it shows they aren't on a gen. The game doesn't need perfect communication.
It already has perfect communication it's called SWF

I'm using up all the Pinky Fingers I have before the big nerf, it's fun making people mad and all but I have to play like 60 Clown games, so the joke's on me.

Let's pretend that this isn't LilithOmen who is probably the second best or probably THE best Blight Main in EU. A casual player would never achieve this so easily.
Also, those Survivors seemed pretty clueless. If I were that Ash, I would've hugged the next strongest tile which would've been that first jungle gym, and make sure he doesn't get that last rush hit on me.
Only a very good Blight against bad Survivors would achieve that, and that's what happened.
Bruh those survivors probably don't even know how his addons work

@BadLooperQ said:
Oh yes.. How may I improve against Blights then, Oh mighty skilled tournament champion?
Especially on deadzones, without a exhaustion perk and against Blights with full sensitivity that can track you at any angle and doing whatever the hell J flicks or those movements on corners are...
Enlight me then...cause at this rate anyone helped me at all.. Even if I try to mindgane directions in one, It never works
People who play Blight are like the people who 4 stack SWF, it's about making the game as easy as possible.
Every time Blight crushes some uncoordinated average skill SoloQs into dust, you have to remember that an SWF is doing the exact same thing to some poor schmuck playing Trapper.
Then you load up Halo Infinite and forget all your troubles.

What they are talking about adding isn't current base kit information but is obtainable with perks. The current game is pretty balanced for a team of solo survivors, with only a few perks and killers making it difficult. SWF is the problem and buffing solo is treating the symptom. If they nerfed SWF they would have to nerf what 4 killers? If they buff solo to SWF level they are going to have to buff what, 20+ killers? Giving killers the same status information would be that buff.
If they want the game to be just a tag simulator and take all critical thinking aspects out of it then just go for it. Everyone could have all the same information and it's just a chase with a timer on, fun.
SWF ruined the potential of this game, there's nothing we can do about it since they refuse to nerf SWF in any way, even just revealing them in the lobby is asking too much apparently.
-
The only time I've ever gotten comments on my profile as a survivor was from other survivors, usually because of a challenge or achievement forcing me to play more selfish.
As killer I have pages and pages, they're like trophies.

Just chiming in to say that while you've never heard of the language barrier problem before, it exists. It was something that annoyed me a lot while I was playing Overwatch and trying to get good at it- all the videos I'd watch would talk about how important communication is and how you should always be joining team chat, but I played in the EU servers, there was no guarantee everyone spoke English and a pretty large chance that at least one person wouldn't.
So?
-
Yeah, it's one of the better changes they could make right now. Hiding it is very strange.

I think it's a good idea in theory, but I can't think of any universal buff that they could give killers to make up for the infinite amount of free information (ie - Survivor A is in a chase, I know the killer is Ghostface. I no longer have to worry about being stalked or releasing M1 unless the chase is brought near me) without completely redesigning the game.
Maybe the devs will prove me wrong.
I certainly hope so!
RIP if it's not major changes/buffs

Dude:
DBD does not have voice comms. I am talking about THE BENEFIT TO NOT HAVING VOICE COMMS IN DBD.
Because DBD does not have voice comms, this means that DBD players have to put in effort to setup voice comms with people using 3rd party channels.
This effort reduces the number of ######### in DBD related chats because ######### typically don't give two shits about setting up communication channels.
This effectively acts as a "passive" social moderation tool that requires zero effort to incorporate.
If DBD had voice-chat like Modern Warfare you'd have to implement effort on both Moderator teams and on Players themselves to both regulate and distance themselves from jackknobs with additional reporting effort and management of social channels that are forced upon you rather than being chosen by you (opt-out vs. opt-in).
And then there's the groups of people that don't use, or can't use, voice comms, who will still need to be addressed with non-voice communications anyway.
Just use the dang Icon systems and leave voice-comms to the player to setup.
Built in voice comms are not a big deal, thousands of games use it.

That's literally not true - he pointed out stats for games where he used the 'scummy' builds, builds which were considered 'nice' and even perkless and AFK at the start and still maintained positive stats
He was camping and tunnelling like a madlad. If you're gonna use that as a measuring stick for balance then I guess you get what you deserve lol.

"Major killer buffs".....with this balance team...HA I will believe it when I see it.
I know, I know. But it's time for change, the sooner the better. Killers will lose their minds when SoloQ becomes as strong as SWF and then it's decision making time.
-
They need to bridge the gap as soon as possible. For most killers the only relief they get is from SoloQ, so once they are equally as broken as SWF the game will either die or major killers buffs will have to follow.
Either way, it's exciting.
-
I agree it's hand holding but I don't really care, SWF already ruins the entire game dynamic so whatever.
They should give solos in game comms OR put SWF in a separate lobby. Anything else is just a half-measure and waste of time honestly.

They tried to fix a good amount of bugs this mid chapter update and people yelled at Behavior for not having enough content in the update.
Who?
Most people I've seen are mad about pointless addon tweaks/nerfs while CoH still hasn't been addressed.
-
The biggest problem with playing survivor is that it's so boring and easy
-
Don't play Oni till boons are gone, also consider tunnelling.
-
Toy Sword and Marvin's Blood were far too oppressive
Top tier killers like Nemesis and Twins need to be taken down a peg
