Yes, she's broken but who cares as long as SWF exists we need more broken killers not less.
-
Any hope I had for this game was lost after they added Boons

Teleport is pointless if you are a slave to windows and pallets.
Stealth is pointless with perks and SWF that counter it.
The dev s have dug a hole and they can't get out of it unless they change things.
Yeah, exactly.
Stealth Killers don't work in this game thanks to SWF and perks that hard counter them. M1 killers are pointless, no one is gonna buy/play them because of bad maps and loops. Any sort of slowdown gimmick will get nerfed.
Mobility is king because of gen speed/map size and some form of anti-loop is required to end chases quickly.

The matchmaking system is such a failure it requires throwing every game to have fun
It's not match making though, the game is unbalanced.

Most survivors are bad at other games, they can't play games like Counter Strike. Check their profiles most of them have anime dating games, board games, hello kitty, farmville etc. A lot of them are horror movie fans who barely play games.
Since DBD is heavily survivor sided, and survivor takes basically no skill to play, it gives them a sense of entitlement. This is the first game they've played where they win all the time. If you beat them, despite the deck being stacked against you, you aren't playing "fair".
It's been this way for years and it's not gonna change, most have never played killer because it's too hard for them, so they have no idea what's necessary to win games sometimes.
Take comfort in knowing getting a 3K on Haddonfield vs SWF is harder than anything a survivor has to do.

if you can't handle the stress then don't play killer. dbd isnt mean to be some easy sweep every game. if you want something relaxing maybe try minecraft💞
Don't worry about them, they'll switch to Survivor or find something else to play.
I just changed my mindset, I assume every match is a full SWF and play accordingly. Which means proxy camping and tunnelling, whatever it takes to secure kills and get the 4K every game.
-
Shift W was always meta.
This is a meme spread by survivors who want BHVR to stop making killers with anti-loop.
-
I like MMR, it exposes what most people have been saying all along. DBD is heavily survivor sided if they aren't potatoes and actually try to win.
It would look even worse if match making wasn't so quick to throw MMR out the window to speed up queue times.

Most people play games to win, and not just to play them.
Yeah especially in multiplayer PVP games, and it doesn't mean you're taking it too seriously either.
It's not the player's fault if the gameplay or balance is frustrating.
-
Twins are rare, I stopped playing before they came out and by the time I came back they were gone. I've never played against them...
Deathslinger also vanished off the face of the earth, he used to be fairly common.

Majority of the spirit mains as you said, quit because they're shite and can't get easy wins anymore with a killer that literally had no counterplay. Now that they fixed her, these shitters probably moved on to Nurse. Such a shame.
True, but the people who played Spirit for easy wins moved to Blight, not Nurse. The only reason they used Spirit in the first place is because Nurse was too difficult.
-
1: Blight
2: Huntress
3: Cannibal/Nurse
I think Bubba is popular because of his low skill cap while still posing a significant threat... and of course camping.
Nurse would be number one if she didn't take so much practice + her constant fatigue is a huge turnoff.
Spirit/Billy used to be top 3 before the nerfs. Probably where most Blight mains came from.
-
Yeah maybe when he tries to rev his chainsaw near the hook it explodes in his face, blinding him for 10 seconds and he loses 25% of his bloodpoints.
-
Not letting people go isn't toxic though.
You can argue all day about teabagging or smacking people on hooks or post game trash talk, but playing the game and killing survivors isn't toxic.
-
No the whole concept is broken because it gives killers a secondary objective they don't have time for. Boons are too strong to ignore and if they aren't survivors won't use them.
-
Just stop worrying about the survivor's fun and it will never backfire on you
-
Yeah I understand how you feel. I'm fine with ranged characters but Oni for example is just awkward and unfun to use. Most m1 killers are trash and the constant nerfs shrink the pool of options.
I don't know how anyone can stand to play Nurse for hours
-
I never liked hexes, I don't like survivors having control over my perks and being able to remove them whenever they want. Boons are the final nail in the coffin.
The only reason I even use a hex is because Ruin has been mandatory since it's existence.
-
NOED needs a buff, the Mortal Kombat theme should start playing after the first hit.

Always. My goal, as a killer, is to get a 4 man escape after hooking everyone twice.
However, I have reached an mmr level where this has gotten surprisingly difficult, as they just immediately kill themselves on hook or the others refuse to unhook even though I am literally standing in the opposite corner of the map doing nothing.
Those are the survivors they balance the game around btw
-
SWF did "kill" SoloQ to an extent, half the reason killers sweat so hard is because of SWF.

Why would you do that? it sounds boring.
-
It's a brand new map, give them some time to collect the data.
-
Make BBQ stacks basekit and increase the BP gain, fix maps and generators, reward killers for not tunnelling/camping. Reduce time pressure.
You'll never get rid of it entirely unless you remove hooks or ban everyone who camps and tunnels (every killer would be banned lol).
-
Considering my survivor queue times in the evening are taking 10 + minutes, I'm guessing there are way too many survivors for a few reasons.
It's free on Epic so there's a huge influx of new Survivors combined with a lack of Killers due to Snowmen, Boons, MMR and all the other drama.
Maybe the match making is putting any killers it can find into the matches after a short time, so Survivors don't wait for an hour.

This is obviously photoshopped. There I no way you got adept on those two killers on first try! You must be way low MMR. Kappa

Obiously he is low MMR if he's ash rank still and barely plays killer
-
Don't listen to anyone talking about solo survivors, it's not true and it's not your job to coddle them or fix balance problems between SWF and Solo.
Even if NOED only secures one kill, that's one more kill than you would have without it.
Wraith for example is not a threat at all if it's endgame and 3+ survivors are still alive. NOED can put some fear in them and maybe get you a kill or more. It's a fair alternative if you aren't going gen slowdown. Killers like Cannibal or Billy obviously don't need it.
If you're struggling in the current meta best start learning how to proxy camp and force stage two hooks. If you see multiple survivors always go for the one with more hook states. Letting four people live until you've hooked everyone twice isn't viable.
-
Just delete him from the game tbh
Low effort design all around
-
No, we're still in the damage control/coping phase.
-
Anything that disrupts the Survivors ability to be annoying makes them mad, it doesn't really matter how bad a perk/killer is.
-
At least there are more gen perks now, Ruin isn't as mandatory.
Always hated Ruin because you're sacrificing a perk slot just to make the game playable, but Survivors have total control over it. It's too random.
-
Unfun for both sides?
Nah, I definitely have more fun playing as killers with anti loop. Better than getting clowned on as Myers.
-
Make BBQ stacks basekit so we can have 4 gen slowdown perks
-
Ruin is also RNG and can be deleted by survivors so I just use Pop+Scourge
Totems belong to survivors now anyway
-
"Let us flashlight blind you or we'll genrush"
ok?

Each to their own. I sure as hell don't feel "entitled to it" are people actually saying this?
For me it just adds some last minute excitement "who's going to find the hatch first"? I enjoy that final rush on both sides.
Yeah, the OP.
-
You get genrushed regardless. Besides most flashlight squads hate afking on gens, so forcing them to do it is a win itself. What they really want is to toy with the killer before escaping.
My question is why waste a perk slot on Lightborn when you can just dodge and let them rot in queue?
-
I look forward to his rework, the camera will probably be locked into place during frenzy and control like a tugboat.

This is so much for nerf. No one will use Boons if you nerf like this.
good
-
I don't want to waste time walking over to my own totems ever. Far too busy trying to end every chase in 10 seconds or kicking down breakable walls and pallets.
-
Just the rift and grind

I don’t see an issue with the hatch. More often than not as killer I find it first. As a solo survivor, if I’m the only one left alive and I was expected to complete any remaining gens and then open the exit gate I might as well just walk up to the killer and say “kill me now”.
As a solo Survivor I accept that I have no business escaping if our team failed their only objective so I don't really care if I get hatch or not.
It's just funny that it even exists and people feel entitled to it.
-
It's only annoying on movement killers like Blight
-
Ghostface probably lost 12 games in a row so MMR threw him a bone
-
If only I could get free items in LoL when I'm getting stomped
DBD is the only game I've played that rewards losing with things like the hatch
-
Nurse/Spirit/Trickster. I want to DC every game against them.
Cannibal just makes me laugh.
No m1 killers can make me salty, they're the most fun (and easy) to play against. I'm always grateful when someone picks Myers or Pig instead of Nurse or a ranged killer.
-
I've been improving my camping and tunnelling skills because of Boons. I haven't been this "toxic" since the original Mettle of Man.
MMR isn't even on the radar for me. Matches as killer don't feel any different from the old system. It's the same old SWF, same meta perks, same lightning speed generators. At least the fast queue times make dodging easy.
-
Should just remove Boons, there's no hope for them as a concept. Forcing killers to waste time snuffing out totems is a bad idea. They'll either be useless or overpowered, and knowing that there's more to come makes me feel sick.
I'm playing less and less because of Boons, I don't want to deal with them at all.
