Survivors could always Shift W, they've been doing it for years. The only difference between now and two years ago is that there were less anti-loop killers and more safe pallets on every map, including semi-infinites that every Survivor would immediately run to.
Survivors mains don't want the generators slowed down in any way, so you get killers that can end chases quickly. It's just the direction the game has gone.
I play both sides so I understand how tedious certain killers are to face, but I also understand how bad it feels to be an m1 killer chopping wood all day while generators are popping.
I have more fun playing as a killer with anti-loop powers than playing one without.

Yeah, Boons and Trickster are the two worst additions to DBD since Breakable Walls.
No seriously. I hate them.
-
That the game is competitive or balanced
-
I read the title and thought this was gonna be a "I'm quitting DBD" post
-
Because Blight players are more likely to be try hards and try hards are more likely to cheat, also applies to SWF.
-
The game is balanced around tunnelling and fast generators
And by that I mean the game isn't balanced until you make it 3v1 as fast as possible with a full gen slowdown build
-
Just play Survivor or find another game, it's never gonna change.
-
Survivor is boring so I use Head On builds or other things like Pebble and Flashbang to spice up the game play. The charge time is kind of annoying though. Circle of Healing ruined medic builds.
Buff Pebble
-
You can't, she's huntress and trapper combined.
-
Never felt the need to counter Shift W it's the easiest thing to play against, can we stop spreading this meme started by twitch streamers who are obsessed with looping?
Pour one out for all the killers who don't have anti loop powers OR movespeed to dash across the map in seconds.
-
Boons are the problem
-
No the emblem system was always bad
-
I've had enough Nurse and Billy to last a lifetime thanks
-
100% bonus BP isn't enough.
You legit couldn't pay me to play vs SWF if given the option. And the developers know if they put SWF in a separate queue no one will play against them.
-
No, they were useless and made the bloodweb grind even worse.
-
Neither am I, I just don't see who could possibly like old DBD better besides Survivor only mains and maybe Nurse mains.
-
No one wants to go back to pallet vacuums and infinites besides survivor mains
-
Nope survivor is not stressful at all.
And why would a solo care about 4 escapes?
If you only care about escapes, it should be 1. Yours.
If you want to fool around with endgame saves or sacrifice yourself for others because it's fun, then do it. Still not stressful.
-
Just remove them entirely and pretend it never happened please

Tbh. most forget that SWF's aren't in every game.
Often its not 4 vs 1, its 1111 vs 1. Your mates can ruin your game aswell.
For example, a game is mostly lost, if you play solo and someone disconnects instantly.
But the thing is, its just wrong to say that survivors dont have any skill at all. Of course on the high ranks its survivor sided, when you have SWF's who all can play good.
In any ranking system that works properly, premade groups will gravitate towards the top because they win more. That's why so many games have separate queues for solos vs teams. Coordinated teams are always stronger.
So yes, if you are an above average killer (or you just play a lot), logically you should see more SWF than a new or below average killer.
-
SWF with high MMR because they're SWF + Not enough high MMR killers x High rank killers know when to dodge = feed them babies or wait in queue all day?
Sounds like nothing has really changed then
-
Your team going down helps you get more points by unhooking, just make sure it's a safe unhook.
The worst farm game possible is a Killer who tunnels some loop gawd for 5 gens and you get no points/emblems.
-
Anything, just play.
Get at least one generator done, one unhook, last more than 10 seconds in a chase and you should be golden. Just make sure you get the bare minimum and everything else you do in the match will be a bonus.
Bond, Empathy, Kindred or other information perks can help a lot in SoloQ. They give so much information on killers, other survivors, who's getting chased, important generators, healing, getting heals etc. It even prevents sandbaggers which are very common in SoloQ.
Dead Hard is the only mandatory perk if you want to greatly increase your odds of winning/farming. Because it gives you a second chance when you screw up.
Some perks like Spine Chill are really strong but in the end you kind of want to be chased for more points and hiding isn't rewarded.
-
Yeah I guarantee the 2k statistic is inflated by hard camping/tunneling and last second NOEDs, turning a horrible loss into a so called "balanced match"
-
Ranking up with grades doesn't mean anything. I can stop playing for 3 months, and then grind a Rift and get Rank 1 without even trying. Doesn't mean I'm good, it just means I've played recently.
Grades lumped casuals and competitive players together all the time.
-
It's not because she's weak, that's for sure.
She's very tedious to play against so it's probably a good thing there aren't many of them (yet).
-
I must be the only person who likes the new SBMM. It forces the sweat lords to play against each other and they don't like it, because it exposes how flawed the game is on a competitive level.
Getting rank 1 on either side was so easy, casuals were forced to play with 2000hr Billy/Blights abusing sensitivity settings or SWF with full meta builds and flashlights.
I still have nightmares about old ruin and 24/7 Nurse/Billy games all day, every day. Good riddance.
-
Even the worst survivor in the world can hold m1 on a generator and cost you the game
-
Another time waster for the killer when killers already have no time. Do you constantly snuff out Boons or give survivors powerful abilities that counter all your pressure? It's a negative either way.
They turned totems into a weapon for survivors that can be replaced infinitely, while most hexes are a joke.
CoH also encourages tunnelling instead of spreading hits. I thought survivors didn't like being tunnelled?
Boons are terrible for the game's health, so of course they will double down on the mechanic instead of removing it. Which means more DLC Boon perks.
-
Was everyone really complaining about it? or was it just a couple of streamers?
-
Bless that killer who DC'd during the loading screen. What an absolute legend.
-
When your power gives survivors a 3rd health state it feels kinda bad.
Just play any killer with an Insta down or 2shot and ask yourself why you would ever play Nemesis.
-
Because it's true. After you overcome the initial learning curve as a new player it's a breeze.
But more importantly it's relaxing and stress free, to the point of being boring. You can watch TV or eat food, chill out and read chat etc.
People who say SoloQ is hard because of bad teammates clearly never played a real "competitive" game where it's standard practice to hard carry randos. DBD is easy by comparison and since the win condition is vague/non existent escaping hasn't mattered for most of DBDs lifetime anyway. It was always about farming bloodpoints or emblems by goofing around. I guess now with MMR escaping sort of matters... but not really.
If the Killer plays sweaty, picks a top tier killer, uses the best addons, tunnels, and disregards all of the "survivor rulebook" it can be brutal for SoloQ, but that's rare imo. Worst case scenario you take a quick L and move on to the next stress free game. However if a Killer is badly outmatched they're trapped entertaining a bunch of premade clowns until they decide to end it.
It's crazy to think just how Survivor sided this game was with vacuum pallets, more safe loops, more pallets, infinites, god loops, BNP...
