Mori's are pretty rare, yes, but the point was that I've seen them a bit more than you say they appear.
And I do play the game pretty regularly. If anything mori's are most common at about Green ranks, so more in the middle than in the lower ranks.
I never see them in the brown and yellow ranks, though.
Outlier cases. In general, they aren't common.
And yes, mori's are most common among green ranks, you're correct. Reason being, anyone can get to green rank killer fairly easily, and usually in one session.

If you know how to balance the game so well, then what should be changed?
They aren't saying they know how; but at least they aren't pretending they know how.
I mean, BHVR has this HUGE resource in Fog Whisperers (the biggest scam for free advertising EVER, btw) that have thousands upon thousands of hours of experience combined. You'd think they would use those resources for consultation with these types of matters, but nah. That would be too logical.

I won't disagree. Let's not forget, the same person who said "Clown is underrated and people (with thousands of hours in the game and actual experience) haven't found his power" is also the person who thought it was a good idea to intentionally make it so stunning a killer with a pallet when they were picking up a survivor didn't require timing back in the day.
He's not fit for his job, really. Just a string of bad decisions.

TBH at first I thought the new map was going to be survivor sided, however my opinion changed when I played on it.
You shouldn't be committing to chases for that long anyway.
Granted it's hard to navigate as killer as well.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1371052#Comment_1371052
I don't play Oni, I wouldn't know. I personally haven't figured how to loop on that map, but I haven't played enough survivor on it.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1371081#Comment_1371081
Just because I'm posting an opinion that differs from your own doesn't make it bait. I got this opinion from playing killer on it, and as I mentioned in my main post I beat a strong team with four gens remaining. If it was on any other map the match would have been a lot harder.
Content creators such as Monto also have the opinion that the new map is survivor sided.
It's not differing from "my own opinion". It's differing from observable fact, and logic.
Therefore, must be bait.
-
Ghostface is better than Myers in their current states.
-
I think the devs can be quoted as saying it's meant to be "anti momentum" and not "anti tunnel". Think about that, for a second. Anti momentum.
Translation: Punish killer for doing well.

This thread has to be bait.

I dunno about that last part.
I've met a LOT of Mori-happy killers. I also distinctly remember one particular night of 5 games where there were 4 Ebonies in a row from 4 different killers. All of which also had NoED. The last game was against the same killer as game 4 but he didn't have one but did have a raging hatred for me.
If you don't "know about that last part", you don't play DBD.
Mori's are popular among low-skilled killers. Experienced killers do not make a habit of using mori's unless it's for a challenge. It's not a matter of opinions. It's observable fact. You don't get hundreds of ebony mori offerings when you use them all the time. Period.

I literally had to make an account because I need to ask this question - what exactly is the difference between "gen-rushing" and "playing the objective" as survivor? No, seriously, I'm curious. How can a survivor play the objective (which, btw, is fix generators so you can escape) without "gen-rushing?" Would you prefer survivors don't immediately go after gens when they see them? Should they just stand still where they spawn for the first minute of every match?
I hear a lot of killers complain about "gen rushing" but nobody ever seems to explain how it's any different than simply playing the game the way it was meant to be played as survivor.
What is exactly the difference between forcing kills by camping and tunneling, and sometimes using a mori (which a lot of the time ends up being extremely efficient), and doing their objective? No, seriously, I'm curious. How can a killer play the objective (which, btw, is killing survivors so they can't escape) efficiently and also play fair? Would you prefer killers just see a survivor and just let them go because they were recently on the hook? Or intentionally gimp themselves by playing by the survivor biased definition of "fair"? Should they just stand still where they spawn for the first minute of every match?
I hear a lot of survivors complain about "camping, tunneling, mori's and playing fair", but nobody ever seems to explain how it's any different from completely their objective efficiently, and playing the game as it was intended (camping was actually the demonstrated strat in the original DBD tutorial videos before the playable tutorial was implemented) to be played as killer?
See what I did there? I took your narrative, and dropped a fat turd on it by literally flipping it around, and it being every bit as valid. I was asking the original person the question because I knew they wouldn't answer. Not cause they couldn't answer, but because they knew what would come after. You fell right into it. Gratz, bud.

No one said it but if you go back and look since release shack has always been this way thats given still does not justify ruining killer shack with a breakable wall it completely kills the window point being if you are saying shack needed a breakable wall it means you didn't know how to run shack correctly am i correct in this assumption?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1368591#Comment_1368591
This is by far the poorest attempt i have seen yet like if you are going to comment atleast make it constructive this right here is not how you disprove someone else's argument.
It wasn't meant to disprove anything. It's straight up fact. The shack belongs to the killer, yet somehow survivors think they own it and it should never change. It's probably the one thing on the map that SHOULD favor the killer heavily.
-
@MonsterInMyMind said:
Honestly i think breakable walls are fine but the shack wall should not exist shack is meant to be a strong building it's meant to waste the killers time.
It's the killer shack. Not the survivor shack.

Because I play everyday, I think I can safely say I see AT LEAST 2 moris.
2 mori's in a day? And you're complaining? o.O
I only ever really bring a mori if I see a key in my lobby; and only an ebony if I don't have an ivory (for some reason ivory mori's are really uncommon o.O).
One thing you'll notice - most people who use a mori just to mori people are high green ranks to yellow/brown ranks. Decent killers don't use moris.

Never, I don't care enough to, feels cheap to me. Maybe it's because I hate them as survivor, or because I play some of the more reliable and consistent killers.
Most killers feel that way.
Kind of makes you wonder how mori's seem so common, at least according to survivors.
I personally don't use them cause I prefer the rewards I get for actual sacrifices.

What even is the hitbox around Pyramid Head's sword? Are we not supposed to even be able to ATTEMPT to loop him? The hit's range seems ridiculous compared to other killers previously. Inform me.
His hitbox is the same as every other killer. What you're experiencing is a lot like what people experience with Freddy - purely illusion. All the killers have the same lunge/hitbox reach for their M1 attacks.

I'm just stating the obvious.
Enjoy your depip, and nice derailing of the topic I spoke about.
I didn't derail anything. You specifically mentioned "playing fair". I countered it with a question - genrushing doesn't seem fair to killers. Is genrushing fair to you?
-
@BigBrainMegMain said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1368072#Comment_1368072
No, you depip if you tunnel everyone off hook and mori them.
You will NOT depip, you will actually double pip if you play fair and you mori then on their death hook. You depip because you cut chases short and you kill the survivor.
Compare 900 Bloodpoints in the Brutality category, then you Mori someone. Not to mention, Hunting and Deviousness gets lowered.
Now compare 1800 Bloodpoints in the Brutality category when you don't tunnel someone off hook and you Mori them on their deathhook. Your Hunting and Deviousness gets a higher rating as well because you prolonged chases.
I'm more than happy to give you examples with personal videos.
"Playing fair" - an arbitrary definition created by survivors to shame killers. Is gen rushing fair?
-
Your first problem is thinking survivor ranks somehow equal skill. Spoiler - they don't.
Any survivor. Literally ANY survivor, can get to rank 1 survivor. It's basically a participation trophy.
Don't let it psyche you out, and don't use it as an excuse for a loss. You'll face people better than you at all ranks.
-
Here's the thing - keys are better for survivors than ebony mori's are for killers. Key escapes count as a full on escape. Ebony mori's (or any mori) do not count as a sacrifice, and you will likely depip if you mori everyone.
Besides, killers have hoards and hoards of mori's. Do you know why? It's cause they don't use them.

I had a dream once that BHVR started to care about the health of their game more than adding new content constantly, and fixed the majority of the bugs, and actually play tested the fixes/used the feedback they get from PTBs for actual good.
Then I woke up and told myself I'd never try heroin again.
-
Yes.

Dude, no one cares how you play. It sounds like you just want an excuse to defend your tunneling, camping, mori using tactics.
Newsflash, we have all seen it before. There's nothing new about it. If you played survivor for 2 days, you quickly learn these tactics are all part of the game, and highly probable they will be used.
Play how you want! Stop stereotyping all survivors after a few sore losers texted you.
Also, all those tactics, are the reasons swfs play swf.
This is why I think we should all play both sides, it is a more informed opinion, imho!
Here we have the one who wrote the killer Rule Book.
"No one cares how you play...but excuse me as I criticize how you play even though I don't care"
-
Perhaps DBD isn't the game for you if you need difficulty levels.
-
The 3 best examples of why immersed players are hated, at least in my book, are...
- They usually don't contribute much to the team, and 90% of the time are actually incapable of doing anything useful unless fully healed. They will watch you do a gen, and crouch repeatedly beside you until you heal them instead of working on the gen; and even if they are fully healed, the haul ass from the gen the second they hear a heartbeat, which is even more frustrating given that it usually ends up being the last gen, and them staying there would have made the difference between getting it done and not getting it done. They're too "afraid".
- Another great example, and something people often blame the killer for, but really it's immersed survivors who are to blame...when they unhook you, and the killer comes back to the hook, they refuse to take the aggro so you can get away and the killer goes straight after you again. I know you're thinking "the killer is tunneling"...well it's not that simple. If your teammate isn't there to take the aggro, what is the killer supposed to do? Ignore you?
- 99.999999999999% OF THE TIME....they SUCK THE BIG ONE at chases. Facts. Survivors being chased is meant to kill time to distract the killer while the other get gens done. Immersed survivors go down within 10 seconds; making them even more useless.
They are the sole reason I'll die on first hook. I'll stick around for just about anything else. Even to be face camped...but if I get hooked and see more than one team mate crouched in a corner, I dip.
-
@SweetTerror said:
While I do agree that straight up face camping is ridiculous, hearing survivors complain about such things like tunneling, proximity camping, Moris, etc, drives me nuts.
SWF acts like a passive fifth perk forcing Killers to do whatever they can to counter survivors constantly being fed information, even after their teammates have died. And hearing people complain because you weren't a nice killer just makes me laugh. You're supposed to be terrified of the killer, but in-between swf, new parts, good perks, and good teamwork, it can be much scarier playing as the killer, especially with matchmaking the way it is.
Killers kill, survivors survive. Doesn't get more simple than that.
What makes me laugh about it all is the fact that a lot of the time, if you are being genrushed, sometimes the best strat is to proxy someone to at least struggle while guarding a certain couple gens close by. Then they say they were just "doing their objective", but apparently killing survivors also being your objective is meaningless when you do something similar and force kills.
Here's a tip - click the button collapse the post-game chat. After that, take that Killer Rule book so many killers try to play by (you know, the one written by entitled survivors) and burn it. Straight up, throw it in a fire hotter than hell itself. Survivors don't give a crap whether or not the killer has fun. You shouldn't go out of your way to make their games fun either. Play the game, and if you want to play to win, play to win. Screw anyone to shames you for it.

Half of these aren't bugs and are just things you're mad about. Consider taking a deep breath and counting to ten.
Broken bloodwarden, sounds, all the existing issues with Billy that have existed since the Deathslinger release, loadouts missing from tally screen (math works, more than half). I'd also consider mori after cage a bug or an oversight, since no other post-hoke things work for cages on either side. But okay - "more than half" aren't bugs and things I'm just mad about. No, fast saw addons exist, but instasaw does not. What we have now is not instasaw.
-
The killer already loses objective emblem points when they camp. If camping gets them wins, it's entirely the fault of the survivors.
-
Face camping is literally the most counterable thing in the game; and you guys need to stop acting like it happens every game. It doesn't. Not even close.
-
@Arctic_Krampus said:
Here's an idea: what about the hooked survivor gaining Boldness points while the killer is standing in the radius that would reveal his aura with Kindred. The idea is to make it so the face camped survivor doesn't de-pip. Kinda sucks when the killer decides to face camp from the first hook, tunnel you down, and then you just have to take the de-pip even though there wasn't anything you could do.
Nah, at the end of the day, the survivor got caught. Regardless of how they die from that point, you can't simply reward them for being outplayed in the first place, which did happen if they are on the hook to begin with.
-
@cenoflame said:
Yeah that hardly ever happens any more. Endless circle of toxicity has ruined it.
It's toxic not to get a free escape when your team fails?
If anything, killers doing that contributed to toxicity. It gave survivors even more of a sense of entitlement.

Just had a billy face camp me the whole game. He also had Noed and still didn’t go for anybody. What’s the purpose of rocking the perks he had if he’s facecamping.
bigger question is, why is this still in the game? Can we take face camping out as a whole or the killer receive a punishment for it during the match? Lets take facecamping out or not have it be a “strategy” anymore.
I mean, it's the most counterable strategy in the game....and yet, it worked on you.
Think about that. Let it sink deep into your soul.

Skill has nothing to do with it. DBD is a party game. MOST SWF's treat it like a party game. If you can't beat an SWF who is clearly just having fun, I'd say it's a you issue, not an SWF issue.

I have no idea what you're talking about, I'm a patriot through and through. I love democracy, burgers, the colors red, white, and blue (especially in conjunction), bald eagles, anything fried, the imperial system, the grand canyon, and everything else that comes with living in the sweet US of A
Authoritarian is the last thing I'd be
LOTS OF AUTHORITARIANS LOVE BURGERS.
(I'll admit, authoritarian wasn't the word I should have used)
My whole point is, you can't tell people "if you don't keep playing, you'll be punished". That attitude is no more healthy than what you're complaining about. You start telling people they have to play when they aren't having fun (and you know as well as I do, fun comes and goes in this game, sometimes mid match), people will just stop playing.
Instead, compensate those who now have it harder.

What's wrong with that statement?

So what's the big deal if they don't have all the perk slots that solo queue survivors have?
The big deal is, YOU CAN NOT punish people for playing with their friends based on a SMALL segment of the community who craps on killers because they have comms. It's common sense, it's been discussed to death over the years, and somehow, some way, you still can't grasp that.

Gonna REQUOTE this for the second time considering my first comment seems to have been removed, for whatever reason.

Also, what a joke. Ethan calls Clown underrated yet they fail to even bother to address his current reloading bug. Pathetic."
Isn't he the same guy who said "new ruin is scary" or some #########?
If Clown is so underrated, let's see some footage of him with this "hidden power that nobody has found".
