I mean, that Survivor is entitled to not die by the Killer's hand, no? And if the Killer takes a while to get that last Survivor, they are waiting for a while anyways (unless they choose to DC, which is not a reasonable option on either end). This seems like a fair way to still allow the Killer to aim for the 4k while also not making the experience as miserable for the slugged Survivor.
They are entitled to not die by the killers hand, sure. But if they crawl away, they caused their own time-wasting wait time. Not the killer.
I'll say it again - survivors do NOT, EVER need another free out.
They have plenty.
-
That would be too exploitable, and camping is a legitimate playstyle. It's actually the original way the game was intended to be played (at least according to the original tutorial videos that were in the game before the playable tutorial). If a killer is successful while camping, it's because the survivors allowed it to happen.
Also, no. Borrowed time should not be base kit. Survivors don't need another second chance built into their base kit. As for tunneling, run DS.
Also, play killer. Then maybe you'll understand the game a bit more.
-
IMO, that would literally break the game.

Imo both keys should only open for 1 survivor and immediately close, and the purple key should only be able to open a hatch that had already been opened (by key OR by last survivor standing) and closed that game.
Eh, just remove one of the keys at that point. Keep the skeleton keys, make it so only one survivor can escape and the hatch closes immediately, and just get rid of the dull key.

I don't see how that's any different than how a Killer would currently slug for a 4k, except the downed Survivor does not have to wait as long to actually get to play another game.
The ONLY reason a survivor has to wait for so long right NOW is because by the time they find the other survivor to get the 4k, the first survivor crawls away to INTENTIONALLY not be found.
They should not get another free out. No.

Who really watches puppets tho? Most DBD streamers are boring to watch.
I'm inclined to agree for the most part. Most DBD streamers (moreso the survivor ones) are just carbon copies of each other.
"Run in circle, get hooked, teabag, get tunneled, hit DS, act like they outplayed the killer, say they are bored when they face a killer they can't bully".
There's only a couple who actually stand out, tbh. ANGRYPUG and EdgarAlanBro. At least they stand out. Everyone else is "bleh" on the survivor side.
-
Pyramidhead. It's metal AF.

I mean, there is a challenge currently to stun the killer.

Only if you're the last survivor. If not then no.
This, pretty much. Otherwise all you have is a free, no penalty "DC for hatch tech".
@TAG said:
I support this on the condition that you can only do it after you've bled out a certain amount (no less than half the bar). Killer is entitled to slug for the 4k, but I don't think giving downed Survivors a reasonable out goes against that.
That just opens the door for a survivor to immerse themselves until the other one can give up. No, too exploitable. It's fine how it is. Survivors don't need any more free outs.
-
@TAG said:

That seems fair to me.
And I'd be 100% okay with that. I only really use mori's as a time saver for the death hook of a survivor anyway. The only time I use mori's for anything else is if it's someone I know (literally a friend, cause they'll find it funny), or someone with a key.
-
Mickey?
-
@TAG said:
I've never been a huge fan of making moris usable "once you hook everyone". It is a step in the right direction, but I don't think it goes far enough. I would rather they just nerf them hard, drop the rarities, and then add a small additional bonus as compensation.
The key idea does not actually fix the problem. I don't think the problem can be fixed unless they were nerfed at minimum to limit key escapes to only one person per key
If they are going to hard nerf a signature part of the game like that, they need to count as sacrifices.

Bullying, genrush, YouTubers lie about the game , killers rank 15 Vs survivors rank 1...

Devs need to do something ...
Devs get bots in rank 1 dbd ...
Your first mistake is using the ranks of survivors as a reason for your loss.
The truth is, survivor ranking is so nonsensically and ridiculously easy that the players you'd face at green, purple or even yellow ranks are no different than the ones you're facing at red ranks. Red's are just as potato as anyone else.

The mori one is great. The key thing is crap. It would literally change nothing.

It's a start - but they should be extending it a day for every day the event is bugged.
Also calling it now - a slap-in-the-face 50k BP as the "one-time-reward". I get 2x that much in one game. Without offerings.

It will be fixed on Tuesday and the event is extended until the 14th (instead of the 7th). So in fact, you have one week more to get Cakes and Event Items.
So chill your nuggets.
Can you kindly point out where it was stated Tuesday? Upon inspection - they said "late next week".

Thank you, what a weird guy. I rather give back legacy to those who earned it but risk giving out legacy to a few achievements hackers in 2016 than not giving back what people lost just so that a few achievement hackers won't get it either. Besides the fact that most achievement hackers just want to unlock all achievements and never play the games anyway.
It's funny how all of you say that - given that I'm the only one here who seems to have earned legacy cosmetics. Hmmm.

Or, you know...actually be a good survivor and get used to where totems spawn. Even on indoor maps it's not difficult. People whining about NOED are bad survivors. Plain and simple. They don't know how to play the video game.

besides, I’m pretty sure @SpaceCoconut Meant people who played in 2016 should get legacy
Opinions can be validated, if they are full of logical flaws.
If you say "The earth is flat in my opinion", that is an invalid opinion. Just like saying "event cosmetics are logically the same as legacy". It's an invalid opinion because they couldn't be more different.

This is a free event and it’s not broken it still works you just can’t stack them atm they are permanent as long as you have them it’s not like the Halloween petals plus you are not a game designer so you don’t know how easy or hard this stuff is it takes confirmation from steam Microsoft Nintendo Sony etc to even be allowed to update so mostly likely they won’t get that until tuesday normal scheduled update day
It's not a free event. You have to buy the game. Nothing is free; and it IS broken. The bloodpoint offerings are the MAIN reason people nolife the event this hard; and they are broken.

Once again tunneling is not doing the killers job effectively their job is to sacrifice all survivors. Tunneling one doesn't put progress on others and doesn't apply much pressure as you don't have multiple injured/healthy. Tunneling a good survivor will maybe result in 1 or 2 kills if you are lucky.
This person doesn't play Dead by Daylight.

So we are holding back legacy for loss progress players because some dudes unlocked achievements 4 years ago? Amazing reason.
So - here's where I take you off your pseudo high ground with a swift roundhouse kick.
I had legacy. On all 4 original killers, and the first 4 survivors (everyone except Nea). I also lost it. So I actually understand it.
People who earned it, it was MINIMUM 200 hours, per character, of grinding, to get full legacy. Back then, there was no way to verify who got what like there is now. Those are metrics they didn't have before. I'd rather not have my legacy back then have people like you given it for free.
I understand the plight far more than you do. So knock off your arrogant crap.

You aren't being silenced for your "opinion", it's because the way you're choosing to present it is inflammatory and non-constructive. If you want the developers to listen to your concerns then you should elaborate on why you feel the way you do about the game and articulate how you would improve the aspects you mention. You curse out the game in the first sentence before even explaining why it is you are frustrated at the game.
In addition to this, why would you spend 700$ supporting a game that you claim is "[BAD WORD]"?
I mean, at this point, being nice does nothing when speaking to BHVR.
They literally find a way to break everything, somehow.

True but from my experience hackers tend to hack all achievements in at the exact same time. (I've reported many of them). Meaning many of them would be able to be easily distinguished from the people who legitimately prestiged over a matter of days/weeks.
I also doubt many players that hacked achievements from 2016 would still be around to try to claim legacy or have even heard of it. This is probably just another game out of their entire steam library that they hacked achievements in.
That is a gross misconceptions. Even back in the old days of DBD, hackers would hack their achievements at different times on different days.

No ds punishes killers who pick up the recently hooked survivor within 60 seconds which in most cases is tunneling which isn't an optimal strategy.
Tunneling - it doesn't mean what you think it means.
Tell me, Mr. Entitled (and incredibly misinformed and incorrect) Survivor Main - if I find you and hook you, and go across the map, find and hook 2 other people, and I find you again after that working on a gen and you SOMEHOW still have DS, is that tunneling? Cause that is more times than not when killers are hit with DS. It has nothing to do with tunneling. It's purely you having 60 seconds of invulnerability. Conditions need to be added to DS to make it actually be ANTI TUNNEL. If even one person has been hooked, you are not being tunneled.
-
@Pepsidot said:
I realize this post is a few days old, but the Devs seem to have completely given up on the issue. They seem to want people to think it's impossible to identify who lost legacy when it's not as you can look at their achievements and at least give the player one set of legacy back for one character. Of course this would be a compromise, but still something.
They're ignoring this possibility.
Steam achievements can be spoofed, that's the problem.
The dates can't - but even back in the legacy days, people would hack steam achievements.

DS doesn't make the survivor use any skill or learn from anything, it's just so they can get a free escape unlike oth....wait...wait, no. Survivors have many.

It's not at all about balance, I really don't think that requirements that need to be met in order to get a cosmetic can be considered as complaining about the balance of the game. I just think that it's bad design when a number of the event cosmetics are harder to obtain than others. I'd be just as annoyed if you required to 4k as killer but weren't required to escape as survivor.
I didn't say the OP was about balance. I said it was killer vs. survivor. Which is literally is. It directly compares the two and the conditions for the crowns in the first line.
Again, you okay? You seem to have issues with the whole "debate" thing. As in, you're manufacturing things out of your backside.

And what about when you passively fall asleep mid chase? Or take an M1 hit? Or in the higher ranks meet Freddy running ultra-rares and you are not even allowed to wake up?
I like how you say 'all you have to do to get BT is wake up' and completely ignore how he can proxy camp and always hit the survivor before they make it to the hook; always denying BT and letting him farm the hooked survivor easily.
You're grasping for straws to try and justify your own inadequacy as a survivor. There's no doubt Freddy is easier to play, but you're trying to paint a "he's unstoppable" picture when that's just not the case. Get better. You have all the tools to do it.

Stop worrying about what those people say. They use "boring" or "annoying" as a veil for "I suck against this killer". Freddy IS a fairly easy killer to play - but survivors truly have to be bad if they are having that hard of a time against him. When you choose either side, killer or survivor, you are under no obligation to make sure the other side has fun. Survivors don't give a ######### if killers have fun, so stop caring about their fun.

Cry me a river.
Killers finally have something handed to them, and not survivors. Deal with it, you don't get to complain.

Same could be said to you. If you can't find a way to destroy totems during the game and preventing NOED completely (which is funny, cause I always go into survivor games assuming NOED exists, and manage to do it), perhaps it's not them that need to get good.
Nobody thinks you're good for being an entitled survivor. It's the easiest mode in the game, and that's why you chose it.

Legit, though. NOED is fine how it is. It's the most counter-able perk in the game. Let me know when DS has the same hard counter that NOED does. Then your "it's a crutch" crap will be valid. Protip: Slugging isn't a counter, and DS is often hit when the killer isn't tunneling.
