Well sure, but Dying Light just gets stronger and stronger with every hook, so it's really good later on. Plus that's where the killer has an easier time to pressure gens, since there are less gens left.
But having the action speed decrease to be too high will not be good for the game's balance. Even if you use two perk slots. I would say a cap of 30% would be fine. If it gets too high, it won't be fun to go against at all, and all killers will have to do at that point is brun through all pallets because they have enough time to do so.
I mean sure, there can also be a cap for the increased action speed.
I think cap on 30% is too hard.
Because the survivor get 33% buff.
So you just using 2 perk slots for a very low effect.
And the perk combination is trash, if the obsession dies.
Its like:
"I killed a survivor! And I get punished for it...."

That's why I said it would be nice to have hooking the obsession also grant you a stack. I'm also not against increasing the percantage of action speed decrease to 4%, but only if there is a cap of how much you can decrease acion speed of survivors. Otherwise, Using both Thana and Dying Light, especially on Plague would be too much. Or Freddy, who also has addons that slow down the game even more. If you have the ability to slow down the game too much, at some point all you have to do is burn through all pallets and then survivors are pretty much screwed.
So lets just say the perk combination can give you ~40%.
It still have some problems.
- its rly hard on the start of the match
- if the obsession heal the other survivors, then the perks combination isnt rly good
- you are using 2 perk slots for 1 effect
- survivor healing perks can counter it
If you cap the action speed, then it should be in both ways.
Increased and decreased.
-
@ad19970 said:
I think it's fine, once the obsession is dead, the perk most likely already did some nice work for you. The only thing I would love to see is that you also get a stack for hooking your obsession. But 3% seems fine. I'm down for 4% as well, but only if it doesn't stack with other perks or addons, or if the devs add some cap for how much action speed of survivors can be decreased.
How is this perk fine?
You only can get 6 hooks * 3% = 18% for 3 survivor
And 1 survivor isnt affected and get a 33% buff.
Dying Light < Thanaphobia

@Milo said:
They had to be careful with it because it can be pretty nasty while paired with Thana.
Now its doing nothing.
And 2 perk slots for 1 effect should be strong.

Can you imagine how fast the healing rate would be if you had either a "We'll Make It, Botany Knowledge" and or a med-kit?
It will be a free insta-heal, that's frigging busted. Dying Light was already the killer's left behind equivelent
Now it's less viable than Monstrous Shrine
I just made my version of Dying Light.
But I must say, the devs created an interesting perk.
Its trash in the current status, but its interesting.

Bloody heck I didn't think they could make Dying Light any worse but they somehow did
Genuinely disappointed with the perk changes for killers. Survivors get an epic rework for Left Behind and a really sweet buff to Dark Sense that makes it way better than Rancor is for killers
All killers got was Dying Light
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand Dying Light doesnt affect the obession........................

The EGC change was for a very good reason. I don't think I even need to explain that one, but having the old RBTs with an end game build (toss Blood Warden in there just for good measure) was incredibly overpowered and took no skill to pull off.
The basic attack change is part of an ongoing process to standardize what a basic attack is. The ambush was one of the outliers as it was definitely not a basic attack. It required you to crouch and then charge it first to do something no other killer could do. By all means, there was nothing basic about it.
The reason is to make it more clear which attacks are and aren't basic attacks. It's not very clear what counts when something like an ambush counts while a hatchet doesn't. Both were powers, but only one was actually considered a basic attack before. We'll be reviewing other powers and making sure they're consistent going forward.
Yes, Pig needed a nerf for EGC.
BUT deleting the complete ability isnt a solution.
Just slow down the timer, if someone wears a RBT.
Or just test it out in the PTB.
But deleting a complete killer ability is just dumb and lazy.

Down a person
Hook this person
Down an other person
Hook this person
Down the first person
Get hit by DS, because I play rly good Spirit
DS should be an anti tunnel perk, but its not an anti tunnel perk.
Because the unhooked survivor can just unhook an other person in the killer TR
and then the killer got hit by DS.
The killer get hit by DS without tunneling.

It's not a fair synergy because there is 0 counter unless survivors have a Flashlight, which can be prevented by chasing the survivor that has it & dodge the lobby if you see multiple flashlights in a game.
How do you counter Ultra Rare insta heals?
With a perk.
Does you use this perk all the time?
But I cant find a perk in a chest.
Survivor can find a flashlight in a chest.
-
Flashlight...........
And its a ULTRA RARE.
You can counter a complete killer with ultra rare addon.
With a good dam FLASHLIGHT.
How unfair is it?
Oh, you have power from the entity.
The god of evil.
The most powerful creature.
Here is a flashlight,sir.
And yes I hate the flashlight mechanic.

How many traps do you typically put by a hooked survivor?
Yes

In the same light, Killers have a lot of good perks as well and most survivor perks are easily countered
Self care got nerfed into the ground. If Borrowed Time is a problem, go after the person doing the save (basically don't tunnel like a dick) and you'll probably get a free kill because they're locked in the unhooking animation. etc
Mid-high tier Killer perks
BBQ - Double BP AND knowing exact locations of survivors far away AND knowing that someone is likely close if you can't see them
Ruin - Slow the game down a lot
Pop goes the weasel - Gen progress destroyer
Sloppy Butcher (especially after the healing nerf) - Takes forever to heal
Thanataphobia - Slows everything down
Nurses Calling - Instant tracking on healing, makes for some easy downs on unaware survivors who think they're hidden
Discordance - Location info when people cooperate
Whispers - Easy to locate people, HELLA powerful in end game when trying to figure out which door a survivor is going for
Spirit Fury - free hits after only breaking 2 pallets (i still think that should increase to 3)
Enduring - Fast recovery from stuns, especially powerful when combined with Spirit Fury
Brutal Strength - Fast gen and pallet breaking to keep chases going
Bamboozle - shuts down loops, especially the one "infinite" left in the game (I still don't believe there is a true infinite until I see a video where no matter WHAT you do, you will NEVER catch that person. If you can eventually catch them, it's not infinite by definition)
Save the best for last - The decreased cool down makes chases end faster
Devour Hope (when not found) - A slug fest, huge snowball opportunities
Blood Warden - Powerful end game tool, especially when combined with NOED
Make Your Choice - Someone gets unhooked, you go back to the hook and both people are a one shot if they don't heal the person who was unhooked
NOED - powerful end game tool
Franklins - ddestroys weapons
Hex Third Seal: Without SWF, if this doesn't get found early, the whole games goes to hell quickly
I could even be a little cheap and add Knock Out for the same reason as Third Seal
So could we just agree that both sides have some good perks.
But killer have more perks with counter play.
And THANA is not a good perk.
Its like "Remember Me".
Not worth running.

lol wait wait wait.
Survivors have more really good perks than killers??? Where?
The only top tier perks survivors have are Adrenaline, Lithe/Balanced Landing (used almost interchangeably), and Borrorwed Time. D-strike just gets you tunneled and Dead Hard works maybe once if the killer is good. Every time after that, they'll wait til you use it then just hit you after so it's trash to me.
I said good perks(mid - high tier).
But survivors have just more good and very good perks.
Autodidact: If every survivor would use this and not selfcare, then the heal time would be 8 seconds most of the time.
Bond:good for solo players
Dance With Me: In combination with other perks good
Iron Will: rly good for hiding
Kindred: good for solo players
Object of Obsession: good vs every stealth killer
Plunderer's Instinct: for farming keys
Poised: its good, but only 5 times
Prove Thyself: Gen Rush in team?
Quick & Quiet: in combination good
Self-Care: many people use it, but I dont know why
Spine Chill: very good perk vs every killer
Sprint Burst: rly good for wasting killer time
We'll Make It: rly good for fast heal
etc.................
Im not a survivor main, but I know many good survivor perks.
But I only see 1 perk build in high rank:
- Selfcare(WHY?)
- Balance Landing
- DS(Meta perk for 2.5 years)
- Spine Chill/Boring time
There are some types of killer perks
- survivor can counter this perk
- trash number
- situationally
- decent perk(Example:STFBL)
-
Give Nancy a Fancy Dress!
-
Because its a OFFERING.
Offering = 1 time
Perk = unlimited
I could ask the same thing.
Why can a survivor map offering beat my killer map offering?
-
We dont have enough good perks.
I would use Thana,
but the numbers are just trash.

As long as both sides get less information from the other I'm all for it. Figure out what each other is packing from observation in game alone.
That works for me.
I have the opposite of your opinion: killers get too much information on survivors, it starts from the lobby screen and all the way in game.
Then tell me this killer informations.
SWF(lobby),items(lobby),scratch marks,HUD, blood, DS and sound.
I think this are all killer informations.
I think.
And survivors have SWF informations, 50-70% of the killer perks informations,HUD, sound, heartbeat, red stain and some survivor informations(kindred as example).
-
Im just saying no.
I understand your opinion and I agree with it.
But killers have not many informations ingame.
And survivors just have:Make your Choice,Devour Hope, Ruin(twice),Dying Light, etc....................................................
I would agree with your discussion, if
- survivor get less informations about killer perks
- survivor get more informations about survivor perks

I can't help but think you've missed the point, yes, when i am slugged during the end game and the killer is just standing over me I could go a wash some dishes, or get myself a glass of water, but its just a waste of time.
They created EGC, because survivor waiting in the exit games for 15 min
or
they hiding in the map.
Now survivor want a legal DC button, because they must wait 1~3 min.
I hate both sides in this topic and yes its time wasting.
But a legal DC button is not the right solution.
Thats like deleting a complete killer ability in the EGC.
remembering the pig nerf

Face sketch for animation
__________________________________________________________________________________________
25.08.2019
Face sketch updating:
- More human face
- adding a LED mask
- the red eye should be on his back palms
- character design(full body) is in progress
Killer ability rough sketch
- he can swap his abilities, like the doctor
Ability 1 ( 24m Terrorradius)
- he can swap to his other ability while running(no negative effect, but his clones disappear)
- 5 hologram clones
- they will copy his movement, but they run other routes
- survivors can "destroy" hologram clones, if the clones hit a survivor or a survivor run into 1
- every 10 seconds, new clones will appear, up to a maximum of 5
- survivors movement speed will slown down, if they destroy a hologram clone
- The slowdown is not stacked when more than one hologram clone is destroyed, but it reset the time
Ability 2 (32m Terrorradius=radar radius)
- his is invisible and has more movement speed
- his radar shows survivors
- his radar dont shows survivor, if they chrouching or dont move
- he can swap to his other ability , but he cant move for 3 seconds(his hologram clones will appear)
Work in Progress.........

Ingame counter to Adrenaline: Prevent all gens being done.
Why do people forget about this? Its the same as "Cleanse all Totems".
Its not the same, but I understand your opinion.
As killer its just frustrating, if you chase someone and he healed up.
Or you hooked someone and he is full health after the unhook.
Its just not a good feeling as killer,
but its a great feeling as survivor.

As long as you make it so that it deactivates if you get pulled out of a locker, then yeah... It's definitely worth testing on PTB.
Better?
The perk activates after being unhooked and remains active until the user fully heals, enter a locker, unhooking teammates or begins working on gens, totems or exit gates.

Conclusion:
it's fine

The perk activates after being unhooked and remains active until the user fully heals or begins working on gens, totems, exit gates, or unhooking teammates.
You could even remove the need for a timer.
I would also suggest though making it deactivate once you cross through the exit gates.
Ok, give me some minutes.
I rly enjoy this dicussion :3

@LordGlint said:

I think that should count as a misplay on your part then. If a gen is sparking next to your hook, let your unhooker tap it. If you choose to jump on a gen instead of healing up or reaching a safer location, the killer shouldnt be punished for getting you off of it. Just reminds me of someone I played with once that started working on the killers totem immediately after being unhooked, then screamed "tunneling" when the killer stopped him from breaking it.
Yeah I think you are right.
Do you know how it could be write down?
My english is not so good 😅
-
@LordGlint said:
Personally, id make it so the perk remains on until the user either heals up or begins working on an objective (gens, exit gates, totems, unhooking someone else, ect).
What if the killer tunnel you, but you touched a gen for 1 second.
Because you thought, he is chasing someone else.
And I dont know, if the devs can programm this without creating many bugs.
What do you think?
-
@Mochan said:
- DS is active after the survivor got unhooked
- DS is deactive after another survivor get hooked
- When you use it 1 time, then the perk is deactive until you get unhooked again
- You can use DS only 2 time
- The stun is 3 seconds long
- You leave no scratch marks for 3 seconds
- You dont must hit a skill check for this perk
Sounds like a big buff for DS.
I think DS is fine as it is, but this works for me. It stops killers from getting DS'd even after someone else got hooked, and Survivors get to use it twice AND more importantly don't leave scratchmarks, so they have a good chance of actually getting away.
Overall a huge buff to DS though, can't imagine most killers would go for this.
Yeah I was in the editing phase.
Its only 1 time.
You leave no scratch marks, but the stun is short.
And it only works vs tunnel killers.
Like I said.
Tunnel killers get punished.
No tunnel killers get rewarded.
-
@Saitamfed said:
It's a bad idea. Why?
First, the perk will become a new monstruos shine. What's that supposed to mean? The perk will become too situational (and before you tell me about NOED become pretty situational, I think totem mechanics shouldn't exist but it does) like Monstruos Shine that only works in the basement... We need to avoid the creation of new very circumstantial perks and complaining about the killers having circumstantial perks (hex perks) so the survivors should have one is not the solution.
Second
"The stun is 3 seconds long" , there is a problem, unless you have an exhaustion perk, a survivor can't do much in 3 secs. I'll put an example, I ran head on, place basement because I wanted the item, hided in a locker and stunned the killer. I barely went upstairs that the killer hit me, I mean 3 secs is not enough to attempt to escape nor hide. The killer that is following you needs to be bad enough if you can escape.
"You can use it two times. Do you realize that's a buff?", yeah because two is bigger than one but seriously. First if the killer hook someone the perk becomes disabled, second after I hit the skillcheck I have a short time to attempt to escape, and I say attempt because escaping in three seconds is imposible (unless the killer is a potato) because you leave scatch matks. So you can extend the chase wich is bad for the killer but not really being able to escape as you can't win much distance, unless you have some exhaustion perk, wich extend the chase a bit more.
This is some real nice critic.
I will try to answere it.
First, the perk will become a new monstruos shine. What's that supposed to mean? The perk will become too situational
DS is an anti tunnel perk.
So you just said, that very few killer tunnel.
I want that DS is a meta perk, if many killers tunnel.
But it should be a trash perk, if no killer tunnel.
DS is 2,5 years long a meta perk.
That is too long.
here is a problem, unless you have an exhaustion perk, a survivor can't do much in 3 secs. I'll put an example, I ran head on
Ok, I agree with that.
I dont want 4 or 5 seconds for this perk, but not leaving scratch marks would be good.
I think I will change that.
You can use it two times. Do you realize that's a buff?
So what is your opinion.
You said that DS will be a trash perk and you said that this is a buff.
My DS idea is a buff vs tunnel killer.
And its a nerf vs fair play killer.
If the killer dont tunnel you, then he get rewarded for it.
If the killer tunnel you, then he get punished for it.
I hope you can understand my bad english :3
And I hope I answered your questions/arguments.

All Killers tunnel...
Tell me what person in this forum that played Killer didn't tunnel at least once.
Leave D.Strike how it is. Your Version of D.Strike will break the Perk Etc.
I'mma stop arguing I already explained my thoughts.
Why will my version of DS break the perk?
You said it yourself.
All killer tunnel at least once.
I just want make this perk for rewarding for fair play killer and I want punish tunnel killer.
There isnt 1 typ of killer.
There are good and bad ones.
And i dont want support the bad ones, because 1 perk design.
Btw this is my discussion,if you want that I stop arguing,
then you can just leave this discussion.

Look, Here's the thing... Hit me with D.Strike And you will just allow me to find other survivors faster. 5 Second stun is better than the 10 seconds getting you to a hook extremely slowly while you wiggle.
So I would still find someone, and if you are still near me even after you use D.S. then You get downed and hooked again.
D.Strike is in a good place, and I don't really care about it. MoM was an issue and I understand why that perk needed a nerf. But this is just plain dumb. Stop reviewing a perk that got nerfed already. It's meta but that doesn't mean it's overpowered or not.
I said I personally don't believe it is Overpowered or Under-powered. It is in a good place, that's why no one else complained about it for a while. (That I have seen) Until Now.
No one really has an issue with it. If you hate D.Strike Use Devour Hope, Use Ebony's, and get rid of the person in question. It ain't hard to get a 4K even if they have D.S.
That's why No nerf nor Buff should be made.
It's in a good place.
Leave it at that...
Killers will be Killers and will eventually get used to it. Like everyone else did.
It's meta but that doesn't mean it's overpowered or not.
Its since launch a meta perk.
Still after the nerf, its a meta perk.
So yes, I want a little fair rework for it.
If killers dont tunnel, then it will not be meta in my version.
In the current state, it will be a meta perk forever.
-
@Micheal_Myers said:

uh...
What..?
Bad Killers?
Good Killers?
Killers are Killers.
If you got hit by D.Strike, then you did something wrong.
Tunneled or camped.
As a Myers, I pro-lounge every chase and I strike when I find fit. (especially if I have Teir 3 at 99%)
Like, I personally don't care if I get struck. I'll get you later anyway. All you did by hitting me by D.S. is to check gens faster than hooking you again. Which means I'll find more survivors to hook then come back to you.
You have to have a strat to combat D.Strike.
And that's what I do.
D.Strike is fine.. Leave it alone.
Killers are Killers.
If you got hit by D.Strike, then you did something wrong.
So its the killer fault.
The killer played fair(no tunneling, no camping, no slugging),
but he got still hit because the chases were short.
So DS will always be a meta perk in the current state,
because all killers get punished.
Dont get me wrong, but I dont like your opinion.
A killer shouldnt be punished for playing fair and good.
