MMR is basically just constantly being in red ranks.
So many differing skill levels and the occasional screwed up matchmaking who pairs up a new player and a monster with 10k hours
-
Id leave them both as is
If I were to change either of them how ever, is make MfT cause Exhaustion after healing a Survivor, and Lethal to have a reduced time at the start of the match

A lot of people argue that Vial is Blight's strongest addon. I used to be part of that camp. I changed my mind recently. People say "yeah but Vial is just pure bump logic how can you lose?". You don't always have picture perfect bump logic, and something as simple as a fire barrel being a few feet to the left or right can completely throw off a Vial user, having to use a much further bump logic spot (meaning you're essentially just wasting tokens), and it might be on a filler/tile/realm where you can't simply hug tech into the fire barrel. This is one of those cases where Double Speed can very easily make the bump logic, even with imperfect clutter spawn, and get the hit regardless. Two extra rushes mean nothing if you have to use three more to achieve a worse outcome.
I mean I sort of see it as Thompsons Mix, which was an old add on of Billy's. It was a good add on and paired really well with other add ons, but wasn't great on its own
-
I didn't even know people were claiming Vial is better than double speed ngl.
-
When you are using your power and just holding it, you can press the attack button to return back to the position you started off at when using said power
if you teleport to a locker how ever, you can no longer teleport to the remnant

Idk if this was a glitch or not but I thought at one point if your trap was active, Pig slugged you and you crawled out of the gates the trap didn’t kill you. And I thought if it was active but she picked you up, carried you to the gates and you wiggled out it didn’t kill you either. Something about her carrying you over the gate threshold rendered the trap inert.
From what I understand theres a line the Survivors cant cross by themselves. If they do, their head pops
How ever if The Pig herself carries them across that line, the Survivor will be fine
This is to avoid The Pig simply dropping a Survivor at the gate and just outright killing a Survivor, which was a thing when she first released and while funny, it was kinda broken
-
Bruh I wish I could throw a biopod on the top of Eyrie's main or Temples main so I can see Survivors who are in the next game

If I'm not mistaken, an active one pauses if she's chasing you, correct? So I'd be safe if I had an active one on but that is on pause if she's chasing me out the exit?
No, as its still an active trap. Its timer is simply paused
-
There's no reason for you to purposefully throw the game if you're not given any other option. This was just entitlement on their end, plain and simple. Those who say things like that are just not thinking clearly, no reason to try and argue.
-
Usually its some one who purposefully makes their own connection worst to gain the upperhand since they can actually control it.
This use to be an even worst issue when the game was P2P and the killer was always the host.
-
You can delete the game on steam and youll keep your progress on epic games
Progression is stored on their servers not locally, meaning simply linking your steam to epic is all it takes.

How do you avoid getting blinded when breaking a pallet?
Blinding at a pallet is a detriment to the Survivor 9/10 times since they lose quite a bit of distance.
Only time its really helpful, is if the killer has some sort of insta down or something where they can get a quick down and youre in a deadzone. If played correctly you can get to a safer place that way, but its still risky

I wish I was that skilled
My student, before you run you must learn to walk. Crawl your way out of the trap that is Lightborn, learn the ways of Lookatawalljutsu and Lookawaykwondo, and some day you may be as good as me, or even better
-
Even against a 4 man with flashlights, I am a master of Lookatawalljutsu and Lookawaykwondo
Being a master at both of these techniques have made my eyes safe from any danger from a mere torch.

Also, for all this talk people have about balancing the game around high level players. If hug tech is a problem, something that is extremely difficult and is only able to be used effectively by some of the best blights in the game? Then survivors are a problem and need to be nerfed wholesale because of the things that survivors like hens and ayrun are capable of doing. You don't get to have your cake and eat it to. If you want hug tech nerfed, then you must by definition also believe that the game should be balanced around high level players. So its time start looking at survivors first.
Hug Tech isnt really that hard to pull off tho. Knowing how and when to do it takes a bit of time without a doubt, but the same can be said for quite a few techs

You mean Trapper? well if youre healthy you can disarm the trap, and if he hits you, you just go trough him.
Dunno how you could fix that though.
Trap Shoving (or Trap Buffering) is buffering the input while moving to place a trap into places youre usually not supposed to
A good example is the doorway upstairs on the west side of RPD (the one that leads to the room with a hole in it) where youre able to completely shove a trap into the ground. I can try posting a clip later

Sure, the usage of it is technically unintended, but the reason it happens is completely intentional. It happens because if he wasn't immune to wallbounce when he was close to a wall like that, he would constantly get stuck on things. Like he did on the PTB before they added it in.
Yeah its a necessary evil. Thing is other killers have techs that are way more impactful yet arent talked about nearly as much.
Trap Shoving (Which Im sure is completely unintended) and Xeno/Nemesis Drag Tech
-
I wouldnt say "intended". Its more like a side effect.
-
Hug Tech is just fine. It adds extra depth and unlike other techs, its actually quite risky to go for in some instances and has meaningful counterplay
He does have problems with his add ons but also his basekit, hug tech aint one of em
-
All Blighted Outfits are an exagerated version of the killer themselves but its always added upon their default skin
Pretty positive its not his Blighted skin, but damn am I excited to get my hands on it
-
Lobby dodging should not be a thing, as Im pretty confident that backfilling is the biggest contributing factor to bad matchmaking
Here's what I think needs to happen:
You can no longer back out of a lobby.
Lobby screen completely revamped. Killers can no longer see Survivors in the Lobby and Survivors can see their teammates perks for better coordination.
While in this screen, they are given a minimum of 30 seconds and the additional time is spent loading the game.
If some one disconnects while loading, the remaining players are sent back to the lobby in priority queue.
When a game is over the lobby stays open for 1 minute. You may chose to leave, but the remaining players stay in the lobby and other players with similar MMR are filled in to replace those that left.
If there are not enough players to start a game and the 1 minute is up, the remaining players are sent to priority queue
-
Only allowing certain realms to be played by certain killers
This would avoid situations like Billy being sent to Lerys, or Dredge on Swamp.
-
Meg is the only character Ive stuck with since the very beginning. It all started when I was leveling her up and got lucky by getting all the perks I wanted.. Self Care, Borrowed Time, Premonition and at the time I was going after Sprint Burst. I got those perks VERY quickly at either level 2 or 3 which was something that hasnt happened with previous characters, I always got unlucky. Because of that I stuck with her, got her to Level 50 and then the All Hallows Eve event dropped.
As I was getting those brand new Will O' Wisps and Lunchboxes I thought to myself; "Im going to lose these one day because I know Im going to prestige at some point." Thats when I started dumping all the points I was getting into Meg as I didnt to miss out on event exclusives like that again, or risk having more offerings removed like the Bouquets, Common and Uncommon map offerings
Finally got Meg to P3 at the end of December 2017. Ive gotten other Survivors to P3, and I even got all killers to P3 but none of them have stuck quite like good ol' Megalodon :)
-
The way I play is casually but optimally. Survivors understand why Im doing certain things because its just logical. Because of this, I get very little complaints.
Tunneling isnt just something you do all of a sudden because youre losing, its something you do when the opportunity arises. If you just so happen to run into the Survivor that was unhooked not too long ago dont ignore them, punish them for their mistake. If a Survivor was just unhooked while Im near and runs into a deadzone while the savior runs to a strong set of loops, Im not gonna throw the game and go for the savior
Same can be said with camping, you do it when the opportunity arises. If theyre multiple Survivors around the hook you have no reason to leave. Your best form of slowdown isnt perks or even kicking gens, its getting Survivors off gens as much as possible.
And just like the other 2, the same can also be said for slugging. Some killers almost require it (such as Oni or Dredge) as they get much more value out of their power for doing so. As any killer how ever, many opportunities will present themselves of when slugging is the best option/necessary, which is a skill you get with time and experience.
Realize that all 3 of these arent done out of spite, which is when these are all deemed as unfun for the majority of the playerbase. In fact the ways listed here is probably the sweatiest way of playing but its not in an unfun way. Most people when they recognize that it wasnt the game or your fault that they died but themselves, theyre usually a lot more understanding.
Now of course even with all of that you can have some people be upset regardless. And to that I say theres no reason to be bothered by some one whos not thinking clearly.

The only way a ranked mode would work is if it would be teams of 4 or 5 who get put onto the same map seed and both have a chance at being killer and survivor. Who ever comes out on top is the team with the most points, which are rewarded similarly to tournaments
EDIT: Or even Emblems
-
Like I sort of understand the "I have to tunnel" mindset, but the actual form of tunneling isnt just going in the middle of the game "Ok, I need to tunnel this Jake out if I want to win".
"Tunneling" is something you do when the opportunity arises, if you see the person that just saved some one go towards a strong loop while the person just unhooked goes towards a deadzone, theres an obvious pick here and I dont think anyone has an issue with that.
The way I see tunneling, is going after one Survivor and one Survivor only. If the team youre going against is smart this is only a detriment to the killer as youre giving 1 Survivor the resources meant for 4, and leaving 3 Survivors to do gens unoccupied.
The best form of slowdown a killer can get is occupying multiple Survivors at once and keeping them off gens as much as possible. Commiting to chases until some one is downed is actually not the way to go a good chunk of the time, ESPECIALLY in the early game.

Or, better yet, you can run the test without giving yourself a 1-2 second headstart, and you'll get the results that are expected. You're not the only one with 6k hours. I don't know why this is a personal vendetta for you. Were you perchance the Ace in that clip? You seem to be taking this very personally. All I said was you started running too early, and I provided screenshot proof.
The test I did were suffice enough and I got the results I expected, not the ones you wanted. You can keep seeking approval, just wont be from me.
Good luck out there

My guy, if you're gonna "test" something to prove that someone who can clearly be seen speeding up on clip isn't cheating, you should test it right. Look at my screenshots above and run your "tests" again.
EDIT: I even went ahead and broke down some screenshots for you of the distance between me and him throughout that entire encounter. Notice how I start to gain distance before the snare, lose some, gain some at the entrance of shack, then lose some again. Yes, I could have hit him if I waited a split second more, but a legit player would have gotten hit there, MFT or not.
I can run the test for 48 hours straight and get it as accurate as possible but it doesnt matter, youre going to point out any inaccuracies no matter how minor they are
This still gives a rough idea of the scenario provided, major one being walking around the snare. The main reason you werent able to catch them is simply because you swung too early, plain and simple
-

You started running way too early around the corner. The guy in my clip had no idea what a checkspot was, nor did he path anywhere near as tightly around my snare and into shack. Also, I did not show my red stain.
This is just sad at this point
Have fun with your "cheaters" bud 👍

I also have 6k hours, and that was 100% cheating. It is IMPOSSIBLE to make it all the way to shack window, even with just MFT, with perfect pathing, if the killer catches you on backside of shack where I caught him. The fact he runs such a wide arc around my snare and still manages to make the window is just the slap on the face. I made sure to hug him tight before M1ing the rest of the game. I still got the 4k because his teammates wanted to take hits for a blatant cheater, but there should be no question. I think if this thread proves anything, it's the brainrot that MFT has introduced in people's minds.
The only time he took it wider than he needed too was when he was entering shack. Also you're right, it is impossible for him to make shack window... unless you swing too early, which is EXACTLY what you did.
Now, I went out of my way to do this because I'm sure you're going to deny swinging too early. So I recreated the exact scenario! So unless you're claiming I'm cheating as well, here's 2 clips: One of which I didn't take wide when entering shack window, and one where I did, just like in the clip you provided. Enjoy!
https://youtu.be/nYL0As3neU8 https://youtu.be/176O8VidasIEDIT: Just wanted to mention it took us 5 minutes to do this, and that was mainly rerolling the map because we kept getting a gen to spawn in killer shack. These 2 clips were the only takes we did and its all we needed
-
@Amshnock said:
you can see him jolt forward two times after turning shack. look right when he turns its so fast.
with that wide of a path you would have gotten him at the door by the locker. and if it was MFT you would of gotten him at the window or right before the vault. and MFT starts when hurt not at a random time. I see this crap often. The people that say no hacks in the game are probable hacking and don't want it noticed so it done get patched.
report ingame and open a ticket with the video he will get a ban within a week. then screen shot the ingame notification to laugh at it.

I'd tend to agree. Not only the face of the game, but the tutorial killer everyone will see when they first play, and quite likely the first killer they run too. Glad they've finally showed him some sweet sweet luvinz this year.
Yeah, I remember watching videos on the game back in 2016 and Trapper was the one that stuck out the most. He just looked and felt so menacing. Eventually I did get the game mid 2017 and while it did take me quite a bit to commit to him, he was my very first killer I got to P3 and I plan for him to be my first killer I reach P100
