Upon rewatching the clip when now I'm actually awake with a coffee, thats 100% not a cheater. You just swung too early.

I would have, but he should never have made that vault with that pathing to begin with. I actually LOSE distance going around the corner, and you clearly see him speed up. Again, this was just one of many questionable moments in the game. And this has been happening all week. He evidently had MFT equipped (as they often do) but I've played against enough MFT to know what blatant speedhacks look like.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3567509#Comment_3567509
Not possible. Game had just started, and he started clicking at me to chase him. I basically hard tunneled him all game, and there were a lot of questionable moments. I'm also pretty sure his vaults were sped up. Here's another blatantly cheated moment. The biggest tell is how bad his pathing is, but and how he never seems to lose distance.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3567513#Comment_3567513
Look at his pathing again. He swerves out so wide, and takes the least efficient path, and yet I still manage to gain no distance whatsoever. It's blatant as hell. He also had 160 ping iirc.
EDIT: Can someone more experienced look at his vault speed on both clips? I'm like 90% sure that's sped up too. It looks strange as hell towards the end, like it skips 10% of the animation.
"some one more experienced"
Im pretty sure every one saying he's legit are more experienced. I myself have over 6k hours and don't see anything out of the ordinary here. His ping being at 160 also wouldn't have gotten you the hit since it only matters what you see on your screen, to him you were further back but for you it looks normal

Sometimes I get scared people will think I'm cheating when I'm zooming with background player lol.
Try Background Player and Sprint Burst :)

To me it just looks like (possibly) MfT and you swinging too early
Also there are going to be tones of Survivors moving faster considering the event has a bunch of stuff that increases movement speed.

Its 0.2 to "pull the tail up" and 0.4 to actually hit, you have 0.6 seconds to move and dodge.
If you're telling me you're 3x slower than the average human, then thats clearly not a "xenomorph has no counterplay" issue.
No, thats .4 seconds the attacks hitbox lingers. Its why he's able to drag tech and hit around short loops by looking down after a bit

While I cannot say for sure, since he's actually owned by BHVR, hes not considered "licensed" so he should be after the usual two weeks. But, they could also say that he's not included as he's not original to Dead by Daylight... But, I do expect he'll be the usual shards cost for an Ultra-Rare (unless he's more due to the new "Visceral" category.)
just a correction, cosmetics are available with shards after 4 weeks (or a month) not 2 weeks

It’s probably the same thing is what I’m saying. If it’s not, it’s really close. This thread really highlights how little the community knows about Nurse. Her power is strong because of chase. Her map mobility is whatever
Her mobility definitely isnt the strongest part of her kit but to say its weaker than average is just wrong, which is what OP is implying here

Did you not understand what I said? Some objects take more of the charge to get through, so it can take the full charge just for it to spit you out the other side. In other words, you get through the object but get no additional distance. Leary’s is a great example of this.
Ok but compare that to a normal 4.6 killer and they would need to walk around the entire thing.

@topic Especially with shards I don't think you're getting any sort of refund
oh yea that aint happening lol

You get less distance with your blink if there are obstacles in the way because it takes more charge to get through it. I would bet she is still slower, even accounting for obstacles.
who half charges a blink to get around the map??
-
This is assuming there are 0 obstacles in the way, which in the large majority of cases there are.
-
The problem I and many others have with Bloodlust is actually something you mentioned. It costs the killer to gain higher levels of Bloodlust to get a down yes, how ever theres no skill in doing it and it just feels awful for the receiving end.
Its sort of like hardcore tunneling. In most cases it is a detriment to the killer, but the Survivor on the receiving end knows their chances are extremely low since theres only so much they can do.
EDIT: Another great example is actually The Knight. There are 2 ways that people play him, firstly you have drop a guard at a loop Knight which most people do, and then you have the people who actually play into the strengths of the guards to not only zone but to slowdown the game and pressure multiple Survivors at once. The former feels much worst to go against mainly because theres no skill in pressing M2 twice in quick succession compared to carefully using your guards to get into a cycle and a good flow.

and we're telling you that isn't the case at all. I've all but pretty much stopped playing killer because of this crap. You're argument is the equivalent of saying 1 + 1 = 3. it is wrong, cheaters are back in full force and it is not good. You living in denial on purpose doesn't help prevent or address the situation.
Your denial only helps cheaters stay cheating.
If it werent the case content creators would be jumping on it just like the last cheater epidemic. Also just a quick look on twitter and going out of my way trying to find posts of people going against cheaters and I could only find a dozen within the last month, and we all know how vocal DbD twitter is.
I cant be in denial for some made up issue. I cant even tell you the last time I went against a cheater.

First of all, why i need your validation ? You're not part of the dev team so...i mean i don't care if you believe me or not at all
Second what's your point ? Other than write "skill issues git gud lol" ? People are reporting and increase of cheaters so..why you're deny that ? It's something that hurt you in someway ? You have the urge to come here and say "I'M BETTER THAN YOU ALL" ? i mean, i fail to see the reason behind your post, what's your gain for doing that ? Defend BHVR anti cheat system ?
@[Deleted User] said:

And why is that important, that i validate it to some random stranger that have no power to do anything about it?
Dont need my validation, its just when you make a claim like this its nice to have something to back it up.
Also when it comes to cheaters its something that a good chunk of the community dont even know how to identify. Even when people do post clips I give it a roughly 25% chance its simply a bug, some guy with really high ping, or in some rare cases its just some one who has no idea what a perk, add on, or some killer tech. In fact because of this, I experience WAYY more cheating accusations than I do cheaters themselves. Just in the past few months here's a few examples:
- Tanking a hit when I shouldnt despite having MoM up
- Having "wall hacks" because I had OoO and the Bubba had that one add on that shows Survivors auras while revving and a bunch of other aura reading
- Hitting a trebuchet insta down shot as Huntress
- Shoving traps into the ground
- "Blinding at impossible angles"
- Activating Frenzy after just getting stunned with a pallet out of Frenzy thanks to Julie's Mixtape
- Add on stacking to build up Nightfall faster
- "Doing impossible things as Singularity"
- "Flying" as Dredge when I was simply on a hill (was able to see it from the TTV's perspective)
- "Having no recoil" as Trickster
- And my personal favorite: Activating some ones RBT to instantly kill them, when they simply just tried to escape with an activate trap
There are more examples, these are simply the ones that come to mind atm. If cheating was really this big of an issue like some people make it out to be, it wouldnt be such this vocal minority who simply circle jerk each other into infinity.

No.
It happens often enough to be a nuisance.
But, before the one shown in the video about 2 days, completely different time of day, non filmed match.
Its an issue they should address, not the players.
It is an issue they're addressing, over the years we've seen cheats change and evolve because of the changes made to the anti cheat.
Also hate to break it to ya, but it happening often enough to be a nuisance is more than likely just copium. If it was the case it wouldn't be such a small portion of the community complaining about it, but what confirms it even more is streamers not dealing with it on even a daily basis, hell even a monthly basis. They're also without a doubt the main target for cheaters since they get their 10 minutes of fame.

I'm not going to edit every one of these interactions. Its not fun.
It happens, this is the most clear example I have, there are more, and they vary in their degree of obviousness.
My argument here isn't that it never happens, my argument is it doesn't happen nearly as often as most claim. The only time I would get multiple cheaters a week was during the big cheater epidemic roughly a year and a half ago (or something like that)
The example provided here is a cheater yes, but before that when was the last cheater you went against? Then the one before that? More than likely months apart

Not really, i often see them as Survivor (mostly other survivors), and cheaters where the main reason i stopped playing killer, 1 of 3 games i played as killer had obvious cheaters (not counting the subtle ones) certain killer builds make it easy to spot. for example Mirror Myers, or "All Seeing" - Spirit Wraith.
I managed to kill one with a Tombstone Myers, - after they teleported away and i knew he was cheating i focused on him alone, and after killing him, inside the slaughterhouse on the coldwind farm, i started to get random flashlight blinds with no one near, and when i went outside he turned on the whole sky like a major flashlight, i had to look down not to get blinded for the rest of the game.
Just because its not happening to you (or that you dont notice it) dosnt mean that its not happening to other people.
I dont understand why you are trying to downplay this?
Because I dont experience it, those that I know who play the game dont experience it, and finally most big content creators dont experience it.
Everytime some one comes out and says "I face cheaters all the time" its also followed by "I dont record my games".
Again, Im not saying the occasional cheater doesnt exist, but I am 99.99% sure that most people saying they go against them practically every 3rd game is just coping
-
its a bug, very annoying one at that
-
If they follow you with beamers it makes it much easier to apply pressure to them. Prioritize injures rather than downs as when you do eventually get a down, theyll be more hesitant to go for the save.
Slugging goes well with the above, that can also pressure Survivors which might also prevent them from going for a save al together once enough is applied.
If a wall isnt nearby try picking up at the oddest angle possible, and believe it or not that can sometimes be a completely open space. When a Survivor goes for a save they have to be pretty darn close and dont have much time to be in the right position. Downing some one and simply looking towards an open space might make a Survivor start running from behind cover and into your line of sight, which is an easy hit. (This is a sort of bait)
Some killers can easily bait pick ups, the 2 most prominent are Hag and Trapper who have a very similar animation to picking up a Survivor when placing a trap.
FL squads are some of the most fun groups to go against for me as its pure action, no dilly dallying around. Use the above to your advantage and hope this helps :)

which is bs and should be fixed
Not really, as then his range would technically be shorter than 5 or 6 meters since the hitbox wouldnt follow him.
The only way to really fix that is to not allow him to move side to side when using his tentacle, which would feel awful
-
Ive already had 4 Survivors at P100 while playing killer, but never had a full lobby since I dont have a P100 character myself
I do got my Meg at P74 tho, so pretty soon I can finally say I got a P100 character

@timetodohottakes said:

it is not a matter of survivor hitbox anymore, the only difference with the healthy and injured animation is how straight I stand, so injured or healthy the hit remains bs no matter what. tho have you noticed how it NEVER happens with pyramid head? I wonder why with nemesis it happens, projectile logic maybe? less bugged/broken? idk.
Because Nemesis isnt a shockwave like Pyramid Head and its actually quite interesting how his tentacle works
Imagine 5 horizontal lines in front of Nemesis that start at his head and ends at his feet. Once he uses his tentacle, the first line gets "activated", then the 2nd, then the 3rd, and so on. Thing is these lines move with Nemesis himself, which is why Drag Tech is a thing and also why some hits can look pretty wonky

The problem with Predator is he isn’t your typical “killer”.
They hunt for the love of it, not for evil intentions. In Alien VS Predator, Scar (the main Predator in the movie) saves the heroine multiple times, including impaling the Queen Xeno through the head with his spear at the end.
Not exactly the actions of an inherently evil creature.
There are a few licensed killers that lore wise don't really make sense as to why they follow the Entity's game.
I'd rather that than not have them at all

Tried that does nothing colour blindness aside with bad eyesight I still can’t see what I’m doing if u litterally can’t see objects walls and fens how the hell r u supposed to play just wait it out when I’m this game time is everything nah mate
I mean again even without bad eyesight, Nightfall is still something thats meant to somewhat disorient and limit Survivors vision. Thats something even the most whackiest of filters wont "fix".
-
I cant see how being colorblind affects you more than normally as one of the main strengths of Nightfall is Survivors have reduced vision.
Only thing I can really recommend is try using filters
-
The skins this time around are amazing, and the event is looking VERY promising
Might finally have a contender for the Hallowed Blight and Moonrise
-
Gutting her isnt the way to go for anything, variety is important and the more things that are viable and fun the better.
Now that being said Nurse isnt really that fun to go against and she feels quite clunky ever since they added Blinks needing to be recharged, and even more so without her recharge add ons.

I haven't read every detail of the lore but isn't Dredge just an imaginary thing Otto created? And somehow the Entity manifested it into the Fog? Does the Entity even have control over the Dredge?
The Dredge was created by the dark thoughts of the Garden, it was not just in Otto's imagination.
Something thats also implied is Otto knowing what The Doctor was up to before he was brought to the Entity's realm. The reason for this is because he was trying to get The Dredge to come back
Now this is from my quick read from the tome stories, its not something I keep tabs on nearly as much as I used to nowadays.

The point stays though, if you have to evaluate what you have at some given standpoint you cannot take into account what might be fixed in some way... Therefore Blight got basically a lot stronger with all the fixes...
But even then people still had negative impressions of both Spirit and Blight even after the changes which subsided after people actually giving them a chance. I've seen it time and time again, everyone just jumps to conclusions the moment something releases.
The best examples of this recently is Singularity and Sadako, they both had a rough start but are more than capable of holding their own nowadays. Most people finally realized Sadako is actually quite a threat now but there are still some people who think Singularity is this undertuned killer just like he was on the PTB.

Blight received ridiculous amounts of changes from ptb to live??? In PTB he got basically stuck on everything, also his fov was way too low for some stupid reason...
Majority of his changes (if not all) from PTB straight to live were bug fixes. In a later hotfix he got the ability to break pallets and walls with his power, and 6 months later his FOV was fixed

ah yes 2 hours after release and 2 weeks since she was revealed. not like there were minimal changes to her in the ptb period or anything.
Spirit and Blight were also killers who received minimal changes from PTB to Live, and look at where they stand nowadays.
Now am I saying Merchant's on their level? No. But from what I can see she's definitely in a better spot than she was previously and is probably around Hag's level in terms of viability.

Things like Spirit and Blight for example were dog and were received pretty poorly on PTB and even shortly after their release in Spirit's case. And look at where they are now.
