Make the 2 bottles have a seperate count
Make it so invigorate also gives an increase action speed
Confetti bottles basekit

Changing him to 4.4 is probably one of the worst things they could do. His strength would barely change outside of indoor maps in which he already struggles with

This isn't a bug, as long as its not Endgame Collapse killers can open the gates regardless of how much progress is made on the door.

Old Demogorgon chase music. I could be wrong, but I don't believe it's in DBD anymore which makes me sad. ☹️
The Demo music thats been in the live version of the game has always stayed the same, the only thing that's different is Demo itself used to hear the 3rd layer of his TR instead of the chase music.

Devotion 22 with roughly 6.2k hours

There's no way to make them high tier by just cranking up some numbers or add an additional effect. Only real exception here is Wraith who I believe is already pretty solid.

INTRODUCTION
Hello friends, this is Shroompy (at least according to my username) and today I'm going to ruin yet another killer perfectly in my own image
Now Hillbilly is a tricky one as he's probably a community favorite in terms of playing as and against. I'm normally pretty nuclear when it comes to making changes (in a good way of course!) but Hillbilly is more going to be a few number changes. Now of course its not in Shroom Boom Boom fashion to touch up a killer without changing at least SOMETHING. So, I'm gonna be looking at all his add ons and giving him an add on pass!
Enough with the chit chat lets get that rework goin'
CHAINSAW CHANGES
- Increased Chainsaw sprint speed from 9.2m/s to 10m/s.
- Increased Chainsaw charge time from 2.5 seconds to 2.8 seconds.
- Decreased Chainsaw successful hit cool-down from 3 seconds to 2.5 seconds.
- Decreased Chainsaw missed cool-down from 3 seconds to 2.5 seconds.
- When initiating a Chainsaw sprint, for the first .75 seconds you cannot bump into objects.
- Changed "roar". Only triggers after getting a Successful Chainsaw Hit.
Overheat Changes
Overheating the Chainsaw no longer disables it.
While Overheated:
- Using your Chainsaw will pause heat dissipation.
- Successfully hitting Survivors with the Chainsaw will only damage them for 1 Health State.
- After finishing a Chainsaw Sprint by any means, you suffer a 3.5 seconds cool-down.
These changes aim to make the Hillbilly feel better to play and make one of the more fun aspects of his kit being curving more accessible
Add-on Pass
The Hillbilly has some pretty lack luster add ons, so lets change that!
Some add ons I think are fine and will remain exactly the same, how ever the majority of them I feel are very situational and even then aren't really helpful.
The new/changed add ons will have an asterisk ( * ), those without an asterisk will be add ons that are exactly the same
Common
* Old Chain Brake (Replaces Steel Toe Boots)
A safety mechanism for the Chainsaw. While its seen better days, its still better than most stock ones.
- Reduces Cool-down time after hitting an obstacle during a Chainsaw Sprint by 17%.
Junkyard Air Filter
A cracked and dusty filter which still manages to work better than the stock model.
- Increases Overheat limit of the Chainsaw by 20 charges.
* Heavy Clutch
A well-made clutch that keeps the chain moving smoothly.
- Increases the time you cannot collide with objects when starting a Chainsaw Sprint by 67%.
* Speed Limiter
A mechanical device that limits the amount of fuel small engines can intake at one time, forcing a constant safe speed.
- Grants 100% Bonus Bloodpoints post trial.
- Reduces Chainsaw Sprint movement speed by 17%.
Uncommon
* Spiked Boots (Replaces Dad's Boots)
Boots with strapped-on pieces of metal which burrow into mud for more stability and control with each step.
- Increases Turn Speed during the Chainsaw Sprint by 28%.
Punctured Muffler
A roughly modified muffler that allows for extra air flow.
- Increases Chainsaw cooling speed by 50%.
* Off-brand Motor Oil
Affordable oil, used to reduce friction as well as increasing the longevity of the chainsaw.
- Increases Chainsaw missed cool-down recovery speed by 12%.
* TV Antenna (Replaces Death Engravings)
An old TV Antenna, it reminds Max Jr of the little peace he had. Greatly motivates the user
- Increases Chainsaw Successful Hit recovery speed by 12%.
* Low Kickback Chains (Decreased Rarity from Rare to Uncommon)
A specialized chain that reduces the likelihood of kickback.
- Reduces Cool-down time after hitting an obstacle during a Chainsaw Sprint by 33%.
Rare
* Ma's Tooth (Replaces Mother's Helpers)
A cracked and bloody tooth dropped by Evelyn Thompson during her murder. Fills the user with rage and sorrow
- Decreases Chainsaw Charge Time by 12.5%.
- Does not stack.
* Thompson's Mix (Replaces Leafy Mash)
A special oily substance used in the lubrication of all machinery, concocted by the Thompson's themselves.
- Increases Chainsaw Missed Hit recovery speed by 20%.
* Glass Shard (Replaces Black Grease)
A piece of glass taken from Max Jr's only friend
- Increases Chainsaw Successful Hit recovery speed by 20%.
* Doom Engravings
Engravings found on the Chainsaw body representing the dark beast that lives in the Fog. Fills the user with determination.
- Increases movement speed during a Chainsaw Sprint by 15%.
* Tuned Carburetor
Despite being caked in dirt and oil, this carburetor has been well adjusted.
- Reduces Charge Time of the Chainsaw by 25%.
- Does not stack.
Very Rare
* Thompson's Moonshine
A strong beverage made from corn and a recipe passed down in the Thompson's family.
- Increases Turn Speed during the Chainsaw Sprint by 44%.
- Increases Cool-down time after hitting an obstacle during a Chainsaw Sprint by 28%
* Pa's Hand
The severed hand of Max Thompson Sr, used to endlessly beat and shove Junior around when he wasn't listening . Gives the user a sense of direction.
- After getting a Successful Chainsaw Hit, any Survivor within your Terror Radius is revealed by Killer Instinct for 3 seconds.
- Does not work if Overheated.
"Come on! Show 'em Boy!" -Max Thompson Sr.
* Pighouse Gloves
Rancid smelling gloves, soiled with unknown substances. Despite everything wrong with them, they do have thick fabric.
- Grants the ability to trigger the Dying State on Successful Chainsaw Hits while Overheated.
- Increases Chainsaw Charge Time by 25% while Overheated.
"Ain't no mess can stain a hard-workin' man's soul." -Max Thompson Sr.
Apex Muffler
A masterfully crafted chainsaw muffler that outperforms all others.
- Silences the Chainsaw for all Survivors outside The Hillbilly's Terror Radius.
Ultra Rare
LoPro Chains
Light chains that decrease the weight of the Chainsaw, allowing for greater maneuverability.
- Continue the Chainsaw Sprint after breaking a Pallet or Breakable Wall with the Chainsaw.
- Survivors hit with the Chainsaw within 5 seconds of breaking a Pallet or a Breakable Wall are only damaged for 1 Health State.
* Iridescent Brick
Once representative of Max Jr's confinement, this was the first brick to fall when his room's barricade came crashing down.
- While recovering from a Successful Chainsaw Hit, press the Active Ability button to immediately start another Chainsaw Sprint.
- Survivors hit within 5 seconds of The Hillbilly getting a Successful Chainsaw Hit will only be damaged for 1 Health State.
FINAL NOTES
Well, thats all folks! I really hope you enjoyed reading through this as much I enjoyed writing it! The Hillbilly is a killer that has been wronged in the past and while Overheat is something we wish we could live without, I think its time we embrace it. This was my shot at keeping it while still keeping him enjoyable.
Feedback would be greatly appreciated <3

I believe youre a little confused when it comes to how youre buying yourself time from slugging. Its not by slowing the game down, its you not having to go out of your way to get that Survivor on the hook. Depending on how far the hook is were looking at roughly 10-20 seconds, which you are now spending looking out for other Survivors. Its a risky way of doing things since usually getting that first hook is how you get the ball rollin. If you dont get another down before they get up then it might just make the game go by faster.
Its the same effect and the same strategty thats effective on killers with high snowball potential like Oni or Plague. Their powers are explosive and a good chunk of the time leaving a downed Survivor to get the most value out of their power is the correct play. This is basically the "fair slugging" you mentioned.
Healing as well is actually not slowing them down either since the Survivor can still recover all the way, and then they can decide if they want to be fully healed. Just like they can decide to heal under the hook.
Now with all that said, by all means do not take this reply or any reply for that matter in a way that you should stop playing the way you enjoy. If youre having fun thats all that matters.
-
If I'd have to guess they're probably going to be looking at some of her add ons since some of them are.. questionable. The good add ons I see being changed/reworked are the Bandaged and Oak Haft as they're VERY to just stay near the hook and 2 tap anyone going for the save, or even the person on hook whenever they save themselves.
As for the rest of the killers, I see them doing something similar to Hag where they reduce her effectiveness while camping. Maybe add a limit at how far she can place traps near a hook similar to Merchant, or make it so she pops out of a trap slower similar to Larry or Dredge TP
Pig most likely a change to her crouch and add ons
Doc and Clown are 2 killers that can cause accessibility issues so I can see that being addressed. Other than a review of their add ons I'm not so sure what they'd do.

And yes, I did that as well. I created multiple posts about animation updates and "aesthetics" of the game with certain killers, but Hag mostly.
I know that Huntress has the same issue with lunge and wipe (idle legs). I need to check out now tho...
I'm still waiting for Developers to start making a proper rotating animation (looking around) for all old killers that doesn't have those.
You can clearly see the difference on this video: pay attension when Trapper "shaking his head - no".
The aesthetics/animation bugs Im talking about are things like Trapper's bear trap being open in the lobby and misaligned when in game, certain Wraith cosmetics clipping into the camera but only at the start of the game (most notable is the Masquerade one) and probably the worst of them all is Oni's bug where all parts of his body that looks different when entering demon mode just vanish for the entirety of the game (looks fine in the lobby tho)
These are just a few of them, there are plenty more
-
Great when you know you're going against a very coordinated group
It also has some very interesting interactions with a few killers, Deathslinger and Artist for example can make healthy Survivors broken
-
A lot of them arent animation changes, its straight up bugs
I was looking at writing a thread on the bug report section to try to compile all the bugged animations/aesthetics in the game. There are SEVERAL and some of them have been in the game for far too long
-
Heres one that many might not remember: OG Legions buff in 2019.
At this point every one knew and hated Legion, but before they got their mini rework they wanted to try and make the current Legion better at what they were meant to be, which was a killer bouncing between multiple Survivors to then deal the final blow.
So what did they do? They made the Deep Wounds timer go from 30 seconds to 20 seconds. This meant instead of 4 hits to down, it only took 3. The change was made to encourage Survivors to heal more, which made them a bit more viable at spreading pressure and add even more slowdown.
But as we all know, Legion had already built themselves a reputation of being the killer who says ######### you to a particular Survivor if they wanted to, and this change only made this easier. Their strongest add on combo as well (Franks Mixtape and Stab Wound Studies) were made EVEN worst. Stab Wounds Studies reduced the Deep Wounds timer by 5 seconds, and Franks Mixtape reduced it by 15 seconds when stabbing a Survivor already affected by Deep Wounds. Meaning they could basically just 2 tap a Survivor who dared to stay injured. Basically the equivalent of reaching the 4th and 5th stab on current day Legion without all the hassle.
Luckily this change never made it outside of PTB
-
A good chunk of techs are on killers considering new ones get released every 3 months while Survivors only get 3 perks every 3 months. Its a given that killer techs are going to be patched more often, which isn't really saying much. A good chunk of them I actually believe to be healthy for the game since there are many that are probably still undiscovered to this day, and it adds an extra layer of learning for those who have thousands of hours.
CJ tech which I saw you mention earlier is a tricky one. On one hand its a clever way of taking advantage of mechanics, and then the other being that it only really works on beginners.
-
Youre acting like going through a stun after hitting the same survivor a 2nd time is something new. Thats always been a thing, also he was never able to see Scratchmarks in Frenzy.
The state he is in now compared to before is not only better, but also A LOT more enjoyable for everyone involved.

accepting it and saying it's a unintended bug is different, also the big part was when you'd place a trap under a hooked survivor and the unhook would take priority over the trap action, so once the unhooked survivor is unhooked they cna hold M1 instantly even when the animation wasn't over to save the unhooker from being trapped, that was the bug about it.
Thats not trap buffering, thats something completely unrelated
-
Unintended things sometimes become/are embraced as features by the devs. Best example probably being Trap Buffering
This is when a Survivor starts disarming a trap to make it so another Survivor go through it unharmed. This was acknowledged as a bug and was actually patched in late 2016 or early 2017 (drawing a blank here)
When Trapper got his rework in mid 2018, they actually talked about Trap Buffering in a livestream. They mentioned how it encouraged teamplay and it also reduced his effectiveness at camping, so they reintroduced it as a feature.

Survivor mains won't ever be satisfied until the average killer meta loadout involves the likes of Beast of Prey and Predator 😔
You do realize killer mains have brought the survivor meta down to Windows of Opportunity, which was classed as a D tier perk for the longest time. (Not to say there are other strong perks, but the Survivor meta now is nothing compared to what it used to be)
Don't act as if this is one sided, they make balance changes for both sides.

You should read killer powers to know it.Atm just Rancor have killer instinct
Rancor doesn't give off Killer Instinct, unless I missed a patch
-
Killer Instinct is only something triggered by killer powers, not perks. Here are the killers who can trigger it:
Spirit: When using the add ons Mothers Glasses or Dried Cherry Blossom
Legion: After hitting a Survivor during Feral Frenzy, any Survivor not suffering from Deep Wounds is revealed to you
Ghost Face: After being revealed, the person who did so is also revealed
Demogorgon: When charging Shred, any Survivor near an active portal is revealed
Pyramid Head: Survivors who step on one of his trails are revealed
Twins: When controlling Charlotte, any Survivor near Victor is revealed. This also works for when he's on some ones back but does not reveal the carrier themselves
Nemesis: When a Survivor uses a Vaccine, theyre revealed
Pinhead: When a Survivor starts solving the Lament Configuration
Artist: A near miss from launching a Dire Crow will reveal that Survivor
Sadako: A Survivor who becomes fully Condemned gets revealed
Dredge: While in Nightfall, Survivors who are near you when teleporting to a locker or when teleporting to the Remnant are revealed
Wesker: Any time a Survivor cures themselves or by some one else using a First Aid Spray, theyre revealed.
Knight: If a Guard hits a Survivor, that Survivor is revealed
Skull Merchant: When a Survivor is wearing a Claw Trap and is scanned by a drone, they are revealed
Xenomorph: When coming out of a Control Station, Survivors close to it are revealed.
I think thats all of them, if some one see's that I missed one, please lmk :)

its literally a bot lmao
EDIT: at least towards the end, just looks like lag to me

He did get nerfed. They did a bug fix (which isn't a nerf), but they also tacked on an actual metf on top of that change.
Which we never even got to experience the change from PTB to Live thanks to that bug.
-
This has been a thing for a LONG time
I would know, I have and still do it all the time
-
Sprint Burst has always been the better option
As Ive said many times in the past, it was only a matter of time before people realize
-
This is one of the things I check every PTB to see if theyve reverted, as well as Myers', Doc's, Demo's and Oni's POV music.
-
You placed it a bit too far back which gave him enough room to squeeze by it
Place it more inwards so it covers the entire way, but not directly in the middle as then Survivors can just throw the pallet and vault over it

Just jumping in to say, talking about bans is against forum rules as well so beware.
(also the way I got a warning and after I asked for an explanation I got the answer ‚thanks for understanding‘ - even though i still don’t get it at all)
It wasn't a ban, it was simply jail time. Nothing in the rules that says you can't talk about that.
If I get banned, so be it. Was a wild ride throughout the years

There was a thread before about relationships and resident evil. I corrected a post using actual lore and canon. I guess a mod didn't like that because the post was deleted. I didn't say anything wrong, I didn't break TOS at all the post was just gone with no warning, no notification. I just posted facts.
Yup, sounds about right
My post was about Vecna being the next killer and the return of Stranger Things. Using theories like "oh look the halloween event has 4 portals going to the void, and vecna needed 4 kills to get the upside down to come to the real world!", "its stranger things day it would be perfect!", "we can see the halloween event and xenomorph going to a different part of the map, whats to stop them from making the upside down?"
Apparently, thats leaking information. Watch me get banned for this

Makes sense, but why would they remove posts, if it's not bad enough to warrant a warning? That's what I struggle to understand here. If they don't tell you, why they removed the post, then how will you know not do that again?
This is directed more towards the mods, who could have the answers, not you personally. Unless you have the secret knowledge too, that is.
Exactly what I was thinking. I've had several of my posts taken down over the years and 2 of them gave me a warning, 1 was a shitpost on a thread I knew was getting taken down due to being highly controversial and had nothing to do with DbD, the second one was theorizing and part of my theory ended up being correct, but apparently that warranted a warning and jail time
Transparency is something that lacks on these forums. Don't know how to avoid doing something wrong if you're not telling us.
-
You only get notified if the thread/post is deserving of a warning.
For example, leaking upcoming content!

I see WAY more cheating accusations than cheating it self

Ever since the For Honor collab Ive always wanted a character to enter the Fog, mainly one of the 4 Harbingers. Vortiger, (Black Prior) Sakura, (Hitokiri) Hulda, (Jormungandr) Sun Da (Zhanhu)
How ever if theres any character being added its more than likely going to be the big bad herself, Apollyon.

I don’t blame people. I play only solo myself. But these hyperefficient, meta SWFs are a curse for the game and do the opposite and stomp any non S-tier killer
These "hyper efficient" SWFs are something you at most like 5% of the time, and thats generous

if that's so i think you miss the point of a teaser which is to get people discussing what it could mean and drum up hype for something.

Bad at explaning things native french speaker here
To put it simply the "lodie" in her name is very similar to how you would pronounce it in english. The "É" how ever is the main culprit in all this confusion.
The accent at the top of an e is called "accent aigu", it basically turns an e into a more pronounced letter with an 'eh' or "ay' sound to it.
Best pronounciation I can think of is "Ay-low-dee"
-
I see Windows like how I see BBQ or Whispers
It makes sure youre at/heading to the right place
-
Only issue I have with it is the Endurance it gives
If they want to keep it, make it so if you heal a Survivor while injured, you become Exhausted for X seconds
Now it doesnt synergize as well with Exhaustion perks, and disables it self upon activation.

There was for a while before MMR you wouldn't see tunneling and camping as frequently as you do now. You could hop on a match on either side and just have a chill match and you could enjoy every killer.
You would still see camping and tunneling as people actually had an incentive for doing so, being getting and maintaining a higher rank.
Now you cant go down tiers, and youre trying to maintain an invisible number.
Those who truly had chill matches before, still are getting chill matches today.
