The Pig Headsets
Can you escape through the hatch with a Pig headset on or are there add ons that prevent that? I was shocked when I died wearing one in my failed attempt to go out the exit gates. Is that always the case or is it an add on that kills you if you are trying to escape wearing the headset?

An active trap will always kill ya through the gates, but not through the hatch. Inactive will not. No add-ons effect anything during EGC as far as I know.
So if the pig downs me and puts one on me after the exit gates are powered, then it's not active and I can go out the exit gates?
Correct, an inactive trap will not kill you out the gates.
If I'm not mistaken, an active one pauses if she's chasing you, correct? So I'd be safe if I had an active one on but that is on pause if she's chasing me out the exit?
No that will still kill you it's paused not stopped
It's to prevent chasing someone for 1 min and leaving and hoping they die
No, as its still an active trap. Its timer is simply paused
Idk if this was a glitch or not but I thought at one point if your trap was active, Pig slugged you and you crawled out of the gates the trap didn’t kill you. And I thought if it was active but she picked you up, carried you to the gates and you wiggled out it didn’t kill you either. Something about her carrying you over the gate threshold rendered the trap inert.
From what I understand theres a line the Survivors cant cross by themselves. If they do, their head pops
How ever if The Pig herself carries them across that line, the Survivor will be fine
This is to avoid The Pig simply dropping a Survivor at the gate and just outright killing a Survivor, which was a thing when she first released and while funny, it was kinda broken
