Sounds like a good change, yet still the both will profit from that way to much. Imagine it will be like they can see every survivor all the time more or less, since they only have to look in lockers what they have to. Other killers just look in the lockers by occasion, while these two need to look into them.
So sure it will be a better change, yet for these killers it should be blocked.
Overall this perk need to be changed to just a few seconds after he looked in the locker and that he only can see people near the locker. Not that his radius will reveal them all no matter where he goes. I really hope it will be good, but I see that this will be highly misused
Theres already a perk called Darkness Revealed which only reveals survivors auras around lockers whenever the killer searches one.
Besides, any killer doesnt have to go too out of their way to get value out of Ultimate Weapon. On Huntress Id argue there are better options considering she only has a 20m TR.
-
I dont understand either. Ive only had a few games where all 5 people used cakes/bps, and I got like 500k from that singular game
Im bouta learn how to jump into the monitors of people so I can show them a really poor drawing of a cake
-
For Survivor I basically only play Meg nowadays, but shes had a few sidekicks throughout the years
1. Meg
2. David
3. Kate
4. Claudette
5. Zarina
6. Yui
7. Jill
8. Steve
9. Thalita
10. Dwight
Killers Ive always had "phases" throughout the years, but some have stuck around more than others.
1. Trapper
2. Trickster
3. Wraith
4. Blight
5. Hillbilly
6. Dredge
7. Nemesis
8. Singularity
9. Spirit
10. Legion

The OG skillcheck was about half the circle, like a big autodidact skill check. To be honest, I agree, the skillcheck only serves the purpose of screwing over newer players being tunneled and making it bigger still lets people "save" it by not even attempting the skillcheck if they want to so there's no need for it to be so punishing.
As for OP's question yes it is bad at average and below average levels. The 60 second timer is somewhat restrictive at levels where gen efficiency isn't maximized and the time it buys against killers with mobility is laughable when your teammates aren't slamming gens with max efficiency. It is only good at high levels where the 3 second stun and 7 seconds of running into a comp corner will buy your team a little more time against a nurse or blight. In conclusion it fails at being a tunneling deterrent at every level except the very highest, where tunneling is required anyway, so it doesn't have much if any impact. The times where killers would actively avoid tunneling because it was the better play was when DS was at its best. I think endgame and conspicuous nerfs were good too.
The OG skill check youre referring to was only shown in the spotlight trailer, it was never that big on live

And I dont see no lockers for my boy Dredge :(
-
Yeah I really dont understand why so many people arent bringing BPS/Cakes. This is THE bloodpoint event, the few times I got everyone/almost everyone to bring one we got like 400k for just 1 game. Thats 400k that can be spent to progress AND get more offerings.
-
No
EDIT: I know what you did
-
Since Vanity Mirror had the speed penalty removed it has become one of the most slept on add ons. Only reason why it doesnt get enough attention is because of the Tombstones.
Personally I like to pair it up with Dead Rabbit + Monitor to have basically no TR. Just a better version of Scratched Mirror since you can now chase normally.
-
Unfortunately the only thing you can really do is look at things like corn or grass move to see where she is.
To know when shes phasing as well she still has the animation cut, so you can at least use that
-
Nope.
And yknow I dont want to say anything, but I do see more upset comments whenever I play with a couple of friends, one who started playing again after almost 3 years and another who just started playing. Only then does either our rando or the killer say some ######### in post game, which makes me believe it has something to do with MMR since I VERY rarely experience it as Solo Q/Killer. (Were also all on East Coast NA if any of you were wondering)
This is coming from some one who could also care less about MMR, its just something Ive picked up on when playing since Im trying to make DbD more appealing to our newbie

Im convinced if the game went back to pre 2.0.0 for just a day, half the playerbase would be found dead.
But not the both of us, that is for sure.
pre-2.0.0 means Old Freddy, and I will go through a thousand pallets if it means having my favorite killer back.
Oh yeah, and part of me really wants to experience that old Trapper arming animation. It was really long, but it felt as if there was a lot more weight behind to the trap.
Yknow devs instead of Padded Jaws you could just reuse that old Trap setting animation.. wink
-
@OneGoodBoyDemo said:
A killer complained about Hit-validation that it was unfair that my character screamed after dropping the pallet and that the hit wasn't registered and I suddenly started remembering a not very good but funny memory.
If I remember correctly, in the past survivors used to teleport to the other side of the pallet making the loops always safe. You were looping the killer normally, he would lunge and the survivor would press the button and be immediately pulled to the other side of the pallet without having gotten there.
LOL this was so broken and i almost forgot entirely. All the more reason for today's killer players to see what a broken era it was.
Pallet Vacuums were truly an experience, especially mixed in with double pallets being everywhere, fillers (and just loops in general) being longer, and exhaustion recovering while running. All while original DS, DH, OoO and others being in the game.
Im convinced if the game went back to pre 2.0.0 for just a day, half the playerbase would be found dead.

Both are still incredibly strong, but I think that the nurse's nerfs have put her slightly below blight since he can be a bit easier to handle by base than the nurse
But if were looking for the strongest were not going to be looking at whos easier. Nurse in general is more versatile and her chase is and has been unmatched for years. The reason why shes not picked as much is because she feels clunky to play, and she has a visual bug right now which feels awful.
-
I guess Im in the minority when I say I dislike going against Freddy. He is simply man with funny glove who needs to wait a full minute to make Survivors susceptible to a worst Clown bottle.
-
@Star99er said:
Her pickrate has definitely taken a nose dive since her add-on nerfs. Blight has kinda taken her crown as the strongest killer in the game imo.
I would of agreed if it wasnt for his recent add on nerfs as well. You see so much Blight and hear lots more about him, but youre reminded who truly has the crown once you go up against a Nurse of the same caliber
-
Dredge
That music mixed with all of its other sounds and it flailing around only when its in chase, I love it. My favorite killer aesthetically <3

That the way it should be for both sides. Killers should not be able to switch to light born because they see flashlights in the lobby. That's generally the idea. If survivors overload on a certain item killer can respond. I don't think it is a critical element of the game, but that part makes sense.
Thats not a good argument considering Survivors who come in with chill builds have no idea that theyre about to be up against a full slowdown Blight

Solid set of perks. Personally I would have gone with Lithe/SB instead of Background Player for that build since they have more overall utility, but if it works for you i can't criticize too hard, and my build uses BGP too.
Been going into games a lot with this build lately:
-Empathy to track injured friends
-Background player, to run into position to use...
-Saboteur, to prevent the killer from hooking the survivor
-Break Out, to run alongside and help the survivor wiggle off before the killer finds a new hook
Been working for me even in solos and I feel I'm getting better at predicting killer and teammate decisions. This has me at around 50% escape rate compared to the average of 40%. preventing hook states is strong
A fine build that is... but from personal experience in using Sabo builds youre going to need some sort of Endurance perk or Unbreakable since a good chunk of the time you wont be able to avoid a hit after sabotaging. ESPECIALLY if you only have Saboteur. I still give it a 7/10 tho :)
Build of mine for Solo Q:
Bond / Object of Obsession / Sprint Burst / Deliverance

Nobody likes Main Event, though.
Like, it was cool when it was a pointless thing that sometimes maybe did something but now it's way too common and you're expected to actually rely on it now
Which may be cool, bit that throw rate makes it feel terrible. New Trickster feels like he just builds up guaranteed Lacerations or just M1s that's so lame. So much for the machine gunning Kpop psychopath
Yeah, but thats not the point here. From what I understand this person just wants him to have 60 knives without any other change, and to that I say its a bad idea.

44 knives but you get Main Event every 5 seconds, meaning you dont have to reload nearly as much even when he did have 60

But a comp team, stacking full meta and strongest item/addon, PLUS stream snipping to make the match tie (at 2K) against comp Blight. Shows there is something wrong with balance.
Unfortunately Im almost certain theyve said in the past that stream sniping is not a bannable offense.

Except your forgetting Devour has way better slowdown than HHL. So the point still stands.
What??? Devour isnt even a slowdown perk. Sure you can say they waste time looking for the totem, but same applies to Lullaby

And don’t forget HHL is essentially entirely worthless unless on doctor. Third seal is better lmao.
That is also a perk with an entirely different purpose
-
While yes overall Devour is better, they have 2 entirely different purposes.
-
They arent very well designed how ever skill checks are one of the first things new players get a good grip on. Things like Huntress' Lullaby still catches me off guard at times, Coulrophobia is also pretty difficult to deal with, and Merciless Storm on a killer like Doctor definitely isnt the easiest.
I think the concept of skill check perks are fine as is, but of course some of them do need adjustments to become viable at all skill levels
-
@Reinami said:
In regards to your first part about how you can't look and dodge. How do you play against huntress, pyramid head, deathslinger and trickster? Do you just yolo it and not look behind you? Functionally they are the same in that regard, but the difference is that the unknown has to hit you twice. Compared to those though, the unknowns projectile is quite slow and easy to dodge when you see it coming. It is however harder to dodge when you can't see it coming, which is part of the point of the power.
As for the teleport powers, yeah the unknown's teleport is really good, but its also not easy to set your teleports exactly where you want to go. Freddy teleports directly to gens which is very strong (and honestly his only power at this point) and demo can choose specifically where to set the teleports, and doesn't have to wait for some difficult determined time to set another portal.
In short, different killers are gonna be different. There are positives and negatives to every killer, even as you mentioned.
Very well said brother 💪

You're referring to hitting the surv as they're being unhooked when you are going for the surv doing the unhooking, and at that moment they have i-frames. This has been in the game forever it seems. For some reason it priorities the surv being saved with these hits. Can be supremely frustrating.
If I had to guess its because the lunge hitbox is a cone that goes out and starts out at eye level. Since a Survivor on a hook is higher up, it will prioritize them.
All you have to do tho is lunge around and flick to the Survivor thats unhooking.

Its not fine.
In fact, its a bad perk. BBQ/Nowhere to hide are far better, no cooldown, and give aura reading in much better situations.
UW, BBQ, and NTH all do different things and are all better depending on the killer, but universally UW comes out on top since it has no counters other than Calm Spirit, whereas the other 2 have several counters thanks to how many ways there are to block auras.
In fact UW can be substituted for both of these perks combined. Open a locker near a progressed gen and you negate all aura blocking perks while having either the same range or an even larger range, AND a longer activation time. Not to mention the Blindness it provides which is very valuable in a meta with WoO. This doesnt even consider the fact that you dont even need to walk over to the gen to begin with. Just get close enough so the Survivor can be in your TR and you know if somebody is there or not.
As for BBQ, its the same situation. You simply have to walk over to the gens you think Survivors are most likely to be on, and if theyre there then they have no way to avoid that.
Its without a doubt the strongest info perk in DbD's history, only rivaled by Hangman's Trick in a PTB years ago. It needs adjustment, and there isnt a soul out there that can tell me otherwise
-
If I find myself getting stressed at a game I simply stop playing. Doesnt matter what side, and doesnt matter what game.
Its not meant to be stressful. It is, as said, a game.

Bruh, No Manual Reload? There's like 7 Seconds of Cooldown between each shot. Good Survivors can just stare him down so Weakness can go away in like 9 seconds. You have like 2 Seconds window hitting Good Survivors. You also can't control where you place his Hallucinations.
You also can't just go M2 every game, unlike the actual A tier Killers. He's low B tier.
Thats still not a manual reload, compare it to say Slinger who's slow as hell when reloading and he's a 110%. You can also use cover to your advantage and the bouncing of the projectile to land some VERY nasty hits. Ive pulled off a few myself and ran into some one a day ago who was hitting these insane shots consistently.
You also do have quite a bit of control of where you place your hallucinations. When the boarders of your screen are yellow it means one is about to be placed, and you can simply tap your power to prevent it from being placed and it doesnt even slow you down.
The only time you cant prevent it, is if youre in a situation where you cant tap your power. Like if youre on cooldown or youre carrying a Survivor.

So No Mither would prevent blood puddles and grunts by 150% at their 4? 😋
No..?
50% of how the perk already scales from the previous 2 tiers. So in No Mithers case, it would reduce grunts of pain by 87.5%, and recovery speed increase by 27.5%.
-
I think the only Tier 4 perks we should get are when you use teachables on their corresponding character. Instead of giving a new effect, it should scale at 50% of what the normal bonus gives. For Bond for example would like 20/28/36/40m, or Agitation would go like 6/12/18/21%.
There wouldnt be any extra grind in the bloodweb either, instead of unlocking the "Very Rare" Tier 3 perk on the bloodweb it would jump straight to the "Ultra Rare" Tier 4 perk.
This would mainly encourage more build variety, as well as making Survivors a bit more than just skins for veterans. It wouldnt be impactful enough to have an effect on the meta, it would simply be a fun little addition.

Spirit is more than fine and her power should be used in short bursts a large majority of the time to be able to still cover large distances and have lethality not far behind.
The only quality of life change I would give to Spirit, is an indication similar to Sadako of when shes about to shimmer
-
Im pretty sure 2 games using EAC just cant be started at the same time.
-
On the wiki it says only pallet stuns, so its most likely a bug
-
What Im gonna guess happened is she M1'd the Rebecca and then took a moment to line up to orbital since we can since after she hits her, Rebecca starts healing. After doing so she probably reloaded and threw another hatchet at Rebecca downing her, and then the orbital hit you.
As for knowing where you were, most likely Gearhead. One of the best perks for this kind of stuff
-
Because as a Survivor it feels as if no matter what you do youre going to go down since he has so many knives. This is even more true since they changed him to be 115% which made holding W less effective, as well as using high wall loops.
As for him not appearing as much it probably has to do with him being pretty difficult to play on controller, and on PC he has a decently high skill ceiling. You can definitely tell the difference between a good and bad Trickster from their knife management, main event usage, and most importantly aim.

The Dredge for me just perfectly reflects just what youre dealing with. The noises it makes in addition to its music is one of my favorite things aesthetically in this game.
Layer 1: A very unsettling tone thats not something you can simply ignore. You can see some sort of.. thing in the distance. But youre not quite able to make out what it is.
Layer 2: It gets closer but you still cant quite make out what it is. Its shape.. its growling.. its humming..? whatever it is, indecipherable and indescribable.
Layer 3: You're able to get a good look at the beast and its truly nothing like youve seen before. A floating mound of flesh made of human parts.. fear truly sets in as you can now see what youre dealing with, but deep down you know thats only part of the equation.
Layer 4: The beast has spotted you and its not just floating around aimlessly anymore. Its unsatiated hunger is aimed directly towards you and it almost looks as if its... excited.
