Leon players when seeing their survival rate:
-
As others have mentioned, Outbreak Breakout. No reason why it has so many requirements. If you were to ask me in late 2018/early 2019 however? I would of told you Deranged Pursuit.
Now heres a little history lesson for yall youngins, or maybe just a reminder for the vets. (The following is assuming you already know how OG Legion worked) What you needed to do was first stab a Survivor in Frenzy, then run over to stab another, then come back to the original Survivor to stab them again and down them. All in 1 use of Frenzy, which by the way only had a 6 seconds duration. This had to be done 25 times, and the only way I found this to be possible was by using Stolen Sketchbook and Franks Mixtape, otherwise the timing just simply did not line up.
I remember checking an achievement tracker after I completed the achievement and being 1 of 9 people on Steam who had it after 2 months of trying to get it. It was a grind, but it felt really accomplishing when it was over.

U picking one player and see this as a proof that every killer player is doing win streaks with seberak hundreds of wins
pls get some knowledge into statistics
and if u really think killer is op and u can win every game: play killer and show us all how easy killer is ;)
Hes not saying killer is easy, hes saying that they shouldnt be able to go on these massive winstreaks

It would appear as an endorsement of views from the devs which would probably spring further conflict. Some of the most terminally online people in these forums are among the most sour individuals I've come across (who make notable jabs towards the devs themselves), you cannot open a thread without the usual 3/4 users yapping about the same stuff day in, day out or just spamming new threads ad nauseam.
Which is why they wouldnt get the endorsement
Trusted members usually had unbiased views and were some of the most chill and respected members on the forums. I can think of several people who deserve that recognition

Year 3.
It marked a new beginning for the game, and I have several fond memories of it.

But Pig isnt limited to just moving forward? If I recall correctly she can still go side to side

I don't have a huge problem with SWF in general, I think in any modern game you should play with friends.
But lemme tell ya, they're absolutely horrible at times. I tend to ask every match for SWFs when I can because I myself am curious how many SWFs I do go against. So when I get an obvious one where the signs are there, they're extremely coordinated to a T without aura reading or any real indication, and are extremely toxic in endgame I tend to not believe them when they're saying they're not a SWF.
Extra points for when I find out they're friends on Steam.
Even Solos can seem coordinated if they all so happen to be decent at the game, and imo those are some of the most fun games you can have. 4 people who arent on comms understanding what to do in most scenarios is really something, and its even better with an experienced killer. Its truly what the game is meant to be.
As for bully squads, just dont let them get to you. Theyre not that hard to deal with, since most of their strategies are countered by patience, and slugging.

Look, if you can't understand what exactly I'm saying after I deal with matches where survivors are talking to each other, giving full information on the killer and using bully-squad tactics then deny doing it when it's COMPLETELY obvious they're doing it, there's nothing I can tell you to convince you.
And just so you know, I also run MoM on soloQ. Guess what the bully squad didn't run? MoM. They ran every other popular bully squad build perks.
I mean, fair, right.
But youre also talking as if you talk in EGC specifically to call them out for.. what exactly?
Also I used MoM as an example as it requires very good positioning and can be seen just as effective as a SWF when in reality its just 2 good survivors with a good understanding of the situation.
I also dont know what you mean by Bully Squad perks since they can get away with pretty much anything if the killer is inexperienced.

They planned ahead and knew my movements while 2 survivors ran Head On and mostly ignored gens. I was playing Stealth with Dark Devotion, Nemesis, Furtive Chase and Game Afoot as well and yet they knew where I was at nearly all times on Hawkins.
I've played enough killer to notice when survivors are a bit too coordinated.
I mean I myself run Mettle of Man even in Solo Q, its basically only when I run MoM that I get 'accused' of being in a SWF. Its a perk that requires good positioning and when done effectively can seem like Im in a SWF, but nah, just all by my lonesome using a fun perk.
Also what reason is there to accuse some one being in a SWF? As said before there is 0 benefit in doing it, and also how does it benefit you? They dont get anything, and you dont get anything from it. So whats the point?

It would be great if BHVR'S notoriously awful anti-hack was tuned up. How much money is being poured into the cosmetic and licencing departments while such basic technical insecurities remain unfixed?
Also, you might want to consider changing the title of the post if you want to reach more people. Urging a developer response in titles, especially while being brand new, generally leads to people writing you off.
Its not necessarily that simple, its essentially them building a wall but the cheaters find a way to jump over it. BHVR can and do continue to make that wall higher and higher, but the cheaters still find ways to hop over it.
Its a constant battle of attrition that isnt exclusive to DbD. Devs fix an insecurity, and then cheaters find another way.

@ChaosWam said:
Love the SWF teams who deny being SWF too.
Yeah I totally believe you just had 2 Head On SoloQ's planning every move.
I can assure you, I get accused of being in a SWF as a Solo more than I do when Im actually in a SWF
They are more than likely not lying, there is literally no benefit in doing so

There are SEVERAL spots you can shove a trap into the ground still, and I find new ones all the time.
I wont tell you the exact spot(s)... but I feel like these are going to be patched pretty soon since the map is dated and will most likely be revisited soon, and thats Hawkins.
Good luck friend :)

Indoor maps make up 12.5% of the total map pool. I'd also go as far to say that he's rather deadly on RPD and Midwich, if you're caught in a hallway in Midwich or anywhere in the middle on RPD you're in pretty big trouble.
Even so, 12.5% of maps that aren't in your favor is hardly map dependent in my eyes.
Indoor maps are the main offenders but he still has others.
Nostromo, Swamps and Haddonfield just to name a few. They either have dog collision or have really tight corridors, or both.

I find it interesting that even though they reverted the Pig's RBT timer they still seem to think Pig is going to be too strong based off how they worded it in the update, in all honesty Pig is probably still going to be meh at best
Im gonna assume its probably because shes an absolute monster at lower levels. Newer players dont really know what to do with a party hat on, and they just explode lol
-
Blight is already a pretty map dependant killer as he basically doesnt work on indoor maps.
Make him 110 and he basically has no chance on them.

Yes. He writes about strategies that survivors should do more of. If you want to deny or criticize him, you should point out if there is a mistake in his strategy. Survival rate is not relevant here. This is a thread about how to increase survival rate.
Im well aware of the intention of his post but for the most part it just comes off as: "If youre homeless, just buy a house". The large majority of complaints from Survivors stem from Solo Q, and these arent solutions to it since it requires communication. And no, you shouldn't need to run specific perks to remedy this.
Running around at the beginning of the game just to try and find a 3 gen wastes time which you dont have, but isnt an issue as a SWF since they can cover much more ground thanks to comms.
Same goes for breaking a 3 gen, its a lot easier to pressure them thanks to communication and good coordination, 2 luxuries that Solo Q doesnt have.
Tunneling is also something that is much more effective thanks to a lack of communication. Sure you might be able to see that the person that just got unhooked is being chased, but how do you know you should take the hit right away? If there are plenty of resources in the area then the unhooked Survivor is mostly fine and can likely buy more time for their team, before eventually needing a hit. But what if all the resources are used up? Theres no way of knowing.
Then theres another angle to look at it. What says they dont want to be tunneled? What if theyre bringing the killer top side with DS while the 3 gen they want their team to break is bottom side?
In any of these scenarios it is much harder as Solo Q since you dont know their perks, you dont know the killers perks, but most importantly you dont know their intentions.

Again, this is a test to check your understanding of dbd. He need answers, not propaganda. Don't mistake.
Propaganda? 💀

I think they should do something similar to some FPS' and give console aim assist.
Its harder to be as precise as M&K, so it would help bridge the gap

U got:
basekit bt
u got anti 3gen cuz most of the suvs are not able to notice in which order u have to do gens
u got OTR
u got DS (which is still strong if u move near a window and go there down on purpose
u got strong maps with pallets over paletts
u got the game/palett city since 3 years without any rework
u got buckle up/for the people
u got deja vu
u got adre
u got the screen that u can see what ur mates are doing
shall i continue?😂
not forget: hook graps are deletet cuz suvs said: its unfair that killer grap me while on my screen it wasnt a grap whereas killers has the same problem on the other side (jits that should have been a grap)
so they took the grabs and its only a disadvantage for the killer
so please dont try to say: suvs got a bad time
They may have all of this but these are things mainly SWF can take advantage of
99% of the time when theres a complaint from the Survivor side it stems from Solo Q, which has been by far the worst experience you can have playing this game as it is truly the lowest of lows.

@humanbeing1704 said:
I don’t understand the replies to this post
like yeah the person is shitting on the survivors but stuff like this should never spawn
Its not even that bad considering the rest of the map is usually pretty garbage in terms of spawns. Youd also have absolutely 0 reasons to go there the moment they complete the gen in that area, if there even is a gen.
-
Even then, saying youre High MMR still has as much credibility as saying you were Rank 1 back in the day.

Toxicity wasn't the only issue though. Most people would use voice comms to give callouts (even basic ones) which open the way to issues with language barriers and the games that are toxic (no matter how many or few you think will be toxic) having no comms whatsoever.
It's fun to think this sytem would only be used for casual conversation, but it would be used for serious comms as often if not more often.
Assuming the game is going to continue leaning towards this failed attempt at a competitive game, which most people can agree isnt good.
If theres one thing I miss about old DbD, its the community. We didnt take the game nearly as seriously because there was no reason to. The bugs, the absolutely busted things, the funky techs, everything made it so special.
If theres one thing I regret, its not appreciating it more at the time.

You're right, we should only consider the balancing rammifications of if the players use new features mega casually instead of competitively like the playerbase does with every other aspect of the game. /s
I understand the idea to mimic some of the fun that F13 had with its voice comms, but that's absolutely not how they would be used in DBD.
I think its exactly how it would be used because people really overblow just how many "toxic" encounters they have on all media. A part of this community that truly is toxic is on twitter, because theres not a single good thing that comes from that site. Coincidencently, its also where you hear most of the whining and crying.
90% of the time things are chill You get the occasional pouting baby sure, but you just gotta ignore them and move on. No point in trying to reason with the unreasonable.

"Just play at a major disadvantage in a game that would be rebalanced around survivors being able to communicate because people can't help but be rude to each other."
who said the game had to be balanced around it?
People need to start to realize that balance does not equal fun, and what we really need are more fun little quirks. Nick Cage was a pretty big success because it is just a wild idea to have an actual celebrity in the game, but also because he brought some fun and unique perks.
The game needs more of this, and VC would bring that. Being able to semi roleplay has shown to be chaotic in games like Helldivers and Lethal Company, and DbD could absolutely use some of that.
While were at it, bring back things like Space Billy.
-
The moment they can make killer powers have skins Id rather have The Knight have an Ultra Rare that turns him into a centurion sending out roman legionaries.
If I had to think of a chapter though, Id like a Gladiator as the killer, an emperor as the Survivor, and the roman colosseum as the map.

and is easy to fix this too, she can only use 6 drones in total and not allow her to recall a hacked drone
if 1 drone is hacked, she can only 5 drones
if 2 drones is hacked, she can only use 4 drones
if 3 drones if hacked, she can only use 3 drones
if 4 drones is hacked, she can only use 2 drones
the solution is to increase the hacked drone cooldown and not allow to recal if a drone is hacked, forcing to use more in loops, i forgot to mention the part of recalling drones
So now you can just have Survivors disable all her drones (much more realistic now considering theyre now disabled for 2 minutes and cant be recalled, which is even longer than Sadako's TVs) and she is stuck as an M1 killer for the large majority of the match
-
Whos gonna tell him that she can just recall the hacked drones and place them back (something thats already done to circumvent the cooldown)
-
Well its never said that Julian was taken by the entity, (as far as Im aware) just that he disappeared
What if he is The Unknown?

Cankerous Hooks
Ahh my beloved.. one day I hope you return
-
I liked Billy before because of the high skill floor. If you went against some one who was actually a threat you knew they poured tones of hours to perfect their craft. Now, just like before, anyone can just pick him up and get results.
Reason behind that is Overdrive holding their hand. Just make it so he doesn't get it every half a second and he's fine.
-
Fake pallet break is no small buff, the rest is just... unnecessary. It would barely have an impact, and as others have mentioned theres Bloodlust which is more than enough.
Also if youre getting looped for 5 gens these changes isnt going to help solve your problem. You need to learn when its appropriate to drop chase, which is A LOT sooner than 5 gens being completed.
-
I would love it, especially since the game has received a bit of traction recently.
Just don't know how they'd implement it, considering the hunters all have firearms. Would maybe have to be a paragraph with only a survivor(s) with perks based on the abilities/perks from DG
-
It may be a culture thing idk, but there is basically 0 difference if I play Meg (P100) or any other Survivor.
Id rather they hide it in the lobby just so killers cant lobby shop, but still show it in the endgame screen.
-
Love his voice lines
His gameplay tho? eh..
-
Im gonna assume theyre going to be treated as charms and are going to be time limited/attached to some sort of grind like the archives or battlepass
-
Yes it is, al though theres no way to tell if youre high mmr. Games are meant to be difficult, regardless of skill level.
-
I haven't noticed a single difference when I play Meg (P100) or other Survivors, which nowadays is really just Thalita at P9
Next up on my list is P100 Trapper, almost halfway there and I doubt I'll be getting any different reactions
-
These arent counting PTB
Last Survivor: Meg
Bond / Sprint Burst / Object of Obsession / Champion of Light
Last Killer: Trapper
Ultimate Weapon / Bamboozle / Corrupt / Pop Goes the Weasel
-
Teasers have always teased the identity of the killer, never the power. I seriously don't understand why this is such a surprise to anyone. I can't even recall a single teaser that had anything to do with the power of the killer, other than The Doctor back in 2017 and it wasn't a trailer/video, it was on a dev stream.
And if you don't believe me, go back to every single teaser released all the way back from 2017:
Huntress: Showed her silhouette
Leatherface: Video of showing several of the already added killers, and asking at the end "What is his mask made of?"
Freddy: The DbD logo scratched onto a metal pipe by an invisible figure
Pig: An RBT going off
Clown: First it was a picture of legs, a key ring with fingers and a carnival background, and then much later on we got another of Kate playing a guitar, then a glass bottle shattering.
Spirit: Her father murdering her.
Legion: 2 twitter posts, 1 showcasing Frank staring in a mirror with 4 reflections, 4 names scratched into the wall, and the caption "Within darkness, lies a legion..." and then a picture of Ormond with the caption: "With snow comes darkness..."
Plague: Onion (if you know, you know)
Oni: First, they got rid of the katana on Yamoaka estate (I don't even know for how long before the teaser) and then we got a video showcasing blood going back in time into the Oni mask, and then candles being lit next to it
Slinger: A chain getting realed in, and then tightened
Blight: A man injecting himself with a syringe and grunting. We can see his shadow during this.
Twins: We hear victor running, and then bringing his hand up
Trickster: A music player, as well as their twitter being changed to "Mightee One Entertainment". We had teasers showcasing Yun Jin as well.
PInhead: A TV with roses with the date 1987
Artist: Literally just a crow and then it transitions to "Portrait of a Murder"
Knight: Just his sword
Skull Merchant: A skull from one of her drones lighting up (dont remember if it was the teaser on their video or from their twitter but it showed her real name, Adriana Imai)
Chucky: Knife
These are all the teasers that didn't just outright reveal the chapter. The only ones that give a hint of what their power is, are Pig, Slinger, and if you really want to stretch it Clown.
Personally I think this chapter is a pretty big W and is very reminiscent of when Blight came out. People were expecting 1 thing, they got another, but eventually they came to terms because at the end of the day they still have a great aesthetic and power.
-
Increasing her hatchet count to 7 instead of just adding more lockers to maps to benefit not just her, but Trickster and most importantly Dredge is just disappointing.
Huntress was on the bottom of many peoples lists to get changed, so many other killers could of gotten much deserved attention
