I just find it fun. why does everything need a reason? not my fault it upsets people over how I choose to play a game
i mean do you at least make yourself a bowl of Ramen? Maybe grab a book? Put up a YT video on another monitor?
Or you deadass sitting there going like this?

I camp in basement with Bubba because it's fun. not to "make somebody else's time miserable" is it so bad to wanna play the way I want without somebody crying about it?
When your fun is intentionally coming at the cost of others, yes
Also please tell me the appeal of standing still for 2 minutes, at that point Id rather just play survivor and sit on gens
-
Thats a weird way to spell Zarina
-
To me it seems like its doing its job, sure it sucks if you DC every once in a while. But if you really came on here to complain about waiting 5 minutes then I don't know what to say

They nerfed Devour? 🙄
They "nerfed" Devour in 2017 bruv lmao
-
Yknow, a fix to Dead Hard doesnt mean you should pretend the perk doesnt exist anymore, in the open you can still bait it out and the itll still be used to gain distance anyway
The real strength of the perk has remained unchanged

The issue is that the meta is so so so so strong that any perk that even challenges it is bonkers busted.
What really needs to happen is that all meta perks need to be nerfed. Ruin, Pop, Corrupt, Dead Hard, BT, Decisive, UB ect ect all get tossed. Then we can start changing the base game and other perks can be viable.
Fair enough, thats actually a much better approach

To be honest with you, my friend, there is only one power for Freddy I would ever accept.
Then I aim to surprise ;)
-
Hopefully never
-
Maybe to make people stop crying they could make it so after every blessing it adds more time, first blessing would be 14 seconds, then 15.. 16.. 17.. and so on
We finally have perks that have the potential the shift the meta that has stayed the same for 5 years and people are crying, honestly its expected
-
Playing Old dbd and seeing old freddy and playing as him, really did make me realize how sad the current Freddy really is, sure he might be better, but they could of turned him into a tier up killer who gains power as the trial goes on, where only towards the end is he able to interact with awake survivors.
This way he'd still feel unique, but not in a weak way, he'd also feel more rewarding.
Man I really need to finish my Freddy rework I was working on...

Interesting. The animation always looked as though it had a few frames that seemed to be "start-up" before the actual dash.
Though even with the i frames gone I think this will remove the "I won a lost chase" scenarios. As an example being, when you dead hard into a wall because you f'ed up, just to avoid the actual hit. Including the times where survivors do the flashlight dead hard.
I mean the flashlight into dead hard is usually a last resort, just like 360's

This isn't entirely true. Since we will be looking at the animation for the hitboxes, I think nearly all of the time (when a survivor greed for far to long) people will end up getting hit when using it this way. DH has a ramping "dodge" the start of the animation is a slow "walk" before the actual dash. Sprint burst just pops you to the speed if im not mistaking which leads to misses if you swing, because you anticipated a different speed then what actually was there.
As far as Im aware the survivors hitbox wouldnt really affect much since the killers attack cone has a semi large radius. And DH doesnt have a start up animation, its just an increase of movement speed (250%) for I believe 0.75 seconds or 1 second.
And test it out yourself, hold down a lunge right as a survivor starts using Sprint Burst, most of the time the game will force you to swing early and attempt to lock on to the survivor. Because when you hit some one your camera will flick in the direction of the survivor

So we'd have no issue removing the I-frames right, since it's not supposed to be used that way anyways, right?
Removing the i frames would only fix avoiding special attacks, people would still be able to dodge hits.
Just look at what happens when you try to hit some one whos in the middle of a sprint burst, majority of the time youll lock on to them but whiff because theyre moving too fast

I dont understand..
Did people forget how Dead Hard worked just because it actually functions properly now???
-
Just people overreacting, as usual
-
Im excited to see what else they have planned :)
-
I mean theyre just bringing Dead Hard to its former glory before Dedicated Servers
I thought you liked old things!
-
everything is working as intended here, sales have always been for outfits only, not individual pieces
The first screenshot costing 200 makes sense, since its the rest of the outfit. Both pieces cost 400.
400 x 2 = 800
800 / 4 = 200
-
Agreed, bump up Solo to SWF.
-
Unpredictability is a very tricky thing to implement without making it frustrating, too strong or too weak.
Making a player feel like something is out of their control without their skill really involved is not a good thing. This was the case with Spirit, as not only was she unpredictable in the sense of when she's gonna phase, but also in the sense that you don't know when she's gonna get to you because of her add ons.
Then you have the case of say Doctor and Freddy's fake pallets, where they can be strong but are quickly shut down by communication.
With the current state of the game I don't think its possible to add a killer who's truly unpredictable without making them too strong or too weak, and even if they're absolutely terrifying, the scare factor won't last. After seeing a jumpscare for the 50th time you won't get the same effect as it did the first.
-
how 'bout making it option?
-
1. Only try to chain them when youre actually in chase, meaning you hear the chase music, when used properly its not a half bad anti loop, but it does lack in indoor maps
2. Chain Hunt passively harasses survivors and the frequency of chains is dependent on the state of survivors/how many are remaining. I dont know the exact numbers unfortunately
3. Use this time to find the weak link, a survivor doing nothing opens more opportunities to snowball
4. Teleport to the box only if you have no other lead on any survivor, never teleport to some one solving the box when youre in a pretty active area ( where there are gens survivors are focusing on, hooks, slugs, etf)
5. His add ons are actually pretty decent and incentivise interrupting people doing the box. His higher tier add ons mostly improve his chain and are pretty good as well

Dead hard gives you a free escape when you mess up, or the killer outplayed you in a loop, that's the issue. You can pull off the sickest of mindgames against a dead hard user, only for getting it negated with a press of a button. That's why it's also called "press e to outplay".
Thing is, a good Survivor with Dead Hard will play the more unsafe and rewarding way because they know they can get away with it
A bad survivor using Dead Hard will use it to "fix their mistakes", and in that case theyre probably not that hard to catch anyway

But there is still a difference between the game providing you with scary aspects (as it once did) and don't providing you with anything (as it currently happens).
I mean youre providing a perfect example
Youre used to the game, what was scary for you before isnt now, and that now applies to DbD as a whole. You know what to expect and nothing can really phase you.
Newer players will still feel the horror aspect of the game, because they dont know what to expect.

I remember one of my first games as Nurse, Grim Pantry just came out and this is the map this story takes place
It was a full blendette squad who switched last second, all having decked out flashlights. (I actually learned that you could burn The Nurse this game!)
For 20 minutes they ran around me and I just tried to down one of them, and when I finally did, you guessed it, they saved FL saved them.
After a while their beamers ran out and they just started finishing gens, but they didnt leave.
They instead all ran down into the basement pointing at the hooks, and let me kill them.
They then all said positive things in chat, recommending certain perks and just general tips to improve.
It was an unexpected but pleasent surprise, Ill never forget that group
-
Tbf in almost any game only a small portion of it is truly viable at higher level play, and if something is too strong then its banned in tourney play
DbD is nothing special when it comes to this

Id add Clown to your list, but yeah apart from that spot on

That is more of a "you" thing, tbh. I think those killers, around that time, actually reached the horror aspect that everyone desperately wants.
If you don't, that is fine too.
I mean it is my experience yes, how ever think about it, this game is scary the first few hours for the majority of people who play it
You cant be scared of something if you get exposed to it over and over again.

Nemesis
While cool and all, they could of made him much more true to his character

Damn I wish I was that good 😩😩😩

Honestly, Freddy, Michael, Doctor and Hag were pretty scary during DBD's Golden Age of Spookiness (2017).
Not really
All killers were a joke, I joined in during this time and the horror factor went away VERY quickly, Im talking like my 4th or 5th session I was pretty comfortable with the game
How ever I did get spooked by Hag the first time I encountered her, why? Because I had no idea she existed (I had about 100 hours in the game at this point)
I would watch countless videos every day trying to learn and improve, yet there was barely anything on Hag. Check back then there is VERY little from known content creators in mid 2017.

I don't get it.
I already said I'm talking about current day unhooking. Nothing is guaranteed because even when it's just 1 survivor the game will take away your grab.
You responded to this guy saying that IF killers could body block a hook it would be a guaranteed kill. But I just realized you completely missed the point and just talked about grabs instead
-
Nothing is more satisfying then having a game over because of 4 successful traps in a row
-
The game is at a point where its too big for a rival to even have a chance at competing. And thats simply because of the number of licenses the game has aquired. Why play any other game in the same genre when I can play this game where I can play as Michael Myers chasing Bill, Quentin, Ash Williams and Leon S Kennedy in Midwich Elementary?
The game looks VERY appealing to new players and thats why theres always been a giant influx of them
The only way DbD dies, is if BHVR it self falls.
-
As much as it sucks, Id rather just move on to the next game as soon as possible
-
I used to consider myself a Wraith main at one point, but then I realized that I couldnt stick to just one thing when there was so much more the game offered.
Thats when I decided I wanted to P3 every killer, and play them all, trying to get more of an in depth understanding of their playstyles, techs, strengths and weaknesses.
Nowadays there are 5 killers who I dont play as often as I should. And those killers are Pig, Clown, Spirit, Plague and Ghost Face.
That doesn't mean I dont play them, just means I play them less than others
-

But it's not like that anymore, so what's the point in bringing that up?
Because you said bodyblocking a hook wouldn't be a guaranteed kill if it was in the game, which at one point that was a reality and it was a guaranteed kill
-
haha w key go brrr
-
Here's a little thing about Nemesis
When he does the initial hit, the hitbox is still active for a bit. So if he moves while using it (most effectively is moving to the side) hes able to drag his hitbox with him. Now the blue line that he leaves behind doesnt represent this at all, so just be aware of that.

Blight and Trickste
Blight because well... I have an addiction of anything Blight related...
Trickster's because its the most unique by far and the song that plays is a bop

Precisely whats gonna happen

Boon Totems
yet theyre probably gonna be nerfed to nothing.
