Then how about we make it so survivors can see the auras of Hex totems and can hear them from miles away? /s
Boons are fine. You can hear when they're activated, when they are near, and you can snuff them out and potentially destroy them, if you bring Shattered Hope. That's more than enough counterplay.
You can't destroy THEM. You can only destroy one of FIVE TOTEMS the Boon was blessed on, that just means they will bless 4 other ones.

Care to explain how the change I mentioned is incorrect when even the devs explained it?
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/5AYOBTJBO3GI/img-20220702-161945.jpg
They're talking about total boxes and players finding incorrect jigsaw boxes. It's not the player's fault, but now they actually added RNG to searching a Jigsaw Box instead of having one specific box have the key while the other is a complete waste of time.

If boon worries you then run shattered hope. The perk stay gone for good and you can even run plague or even force penance.
I said fifty thousand times that it DOES NOT HELP. They just bless another one! All Shattered Hope does is remove 1 of 5 Totems they can bless so what's the point?

maybe don't commit to that chase? and this wouldn't be an issue for you? Or if you're always winning these chases against these "bad survivors abusing COH in the corner, why cant you get other downs?" I mean, now youre making it seem like you're downing these survivors, and seem to always know the boon is in the corner of the map. In this case why do you need a boarder making the game easier for a killer who's CLEARLY on top of this COH meta XD
Boon totems are not fair to Killers and are a waste of time, there's no visual indication on a Killer's screen that they're in a Boon area as there should be and the sound indication is way too small to notice until you're too close.
It's not fair, fun or balanced and drags out most games for a literal eternity.

You're posts have a certain... you know what, I can't quite put my finger on it... but if I were to guess, I'd say you're a ton of fun to hang out with LOL. Just SOMETHING about you. Oh, and i can hear them plenty far away. Not a mile away, but definitely a good distance enough away to where any competent killer doesn't have to be "sitting on it"
Get better headphones. You don't even need super expensive ones. but if you have to be basically an inch a way from it, or "sitting on it" as it were, you're headphones are garbage.
And while we're making assumptions, I play tons of killer. Even if I don't play as much as you, which I very well could, I clearly have a better grasp at the game. I don't take my "help get me to EZ kills" campaigns to the forums. XD
Seriously, finding the boon locations is really not an issue for most killers. Like I said, it could just be your headphones. Even halfway decent ones make a huge difference.
I was literally just playing a game and the directional audio cue requires you to be so close to it that you accidentally see it before you even use the audio cue. It's an awful system, not balanced. I don't want EZ kills, I don't want to spend 25 minutes trying to get a 4K because they keep healing in the corner of the map with the Boon that they can easily rebless right after I snuff it out with no cooldown.

It means something if pinhead is at 59% and nurse 49, both trapper and pig have high kill rates simply because they're 4,6ms and their gameplay is straightforward, pinhead is higher because he has an oppressive passive that don't require any skill from the player, these stats definitely means something
Oh yeah sure, the no-skill Pinhead. Very low skill Killer lol
@squbax said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3041171#Comment_3041171
Idk if people do not read but pig is no longer fully RNG based, she has a pool of attempts, 12 to be exact and each time a survivor searches a box and they don't get the trap attempts are consumed, which means much less RNG, for example if a survivor got their trap off the first search then pig has 11 more attempst meaning the next 3 traps will have one with 3 searches and two with 4 searches, a swf can very easily reduce her pressure knowing this, but a good pig can also play with this in mind.
No that's actually not true. Now they ADDED RNG to the box puzzles when before there was always one correct box that you had to find resulting in some Pig players camping the final box and using the Iridescent addon.
@DEMONANCE said:
i rather they focus on more problematic killers for now, next patch is already a good buff for m1 killers so how about we take a look at killers with unique and very fun powers that were left to rot for example deathslinger and twins. you can buff pig and trapper all you want but still m1 killers are boring and most rather play something like nemesis, pinhead, blight, nurse so the buffs won't increase their popularity much and all those except sadako (which her buffs may come soon) were already buffed and in a decent state (they could use some more if course but it should be for later)
but please please let's do something about twins and deathslinger
I would rather they give M1 Killers more abilities and things to do. Give every M1 Killer some anti-loop or gen pressure ability. When some Killers are really weak like the Trapper and Clown, you can easily get away with some crazy fun gimmicks and buffs. A decent anti-loop buff for Trapper would be letting him walk over his own traps as much as he wants, he could completely cancel a Survivor using a loop doing this.
Let Clown give people exposed if he hits them with his bottles enough times, give him aura reading with his bottles by default instead of with an addon and make his Clown Shoes basekit too. Make the vision impairment really bad when hit by his bottle and let his bottles stack. Make the start and end of his reload really fast but make his bottle holstering slower because they would stack. Make his Tonic and Antidote. back into one Tonic but make him and his action speeds for vaulting and smashing pallets, picking up Survivors, smashing generators and moving around faster like the antidote. There you go, PLENTY of anti-loop and now he's actually competitive as a Killer.
Imagine how fun Clown would be if he was a very beastly Killer and not just sad.

Another brilliant "I'm an X main that wants easy kills/escapes so nerf Y" type of post. These are the posts that keep me coming here LOL. Honestly though, boon totems make a TON of noise. If you need more than that....I dunno.
If the devs don't go for this idea though, they could always just make Franklin's Demise base kit so survivors can't "abuse" medkits or any other item XD.
Another "let me assume things about the OP so I don't consider their argument lmao" post. They don't if you play Killer, you haven't played Killer. They make NO noise until you are sitting on top of one.

Big maps should not exists, pallettown maps should not exists. CoH is already nerfed twice and last nerf made it fair on my book. Maybe heal speeds can be looked, med-kits too. But i don't think CoH needs another nerf.
And yeah, Nemesis is my fav killer atm. 3 hits makes him weak at early game but whenever you jump to tier 2, he is chase monster. I'd like to see better add-ons and smarter zombies but his base-kit is great.
I think big maps should exist, they just need a serious nerf. Big maps work great for the Blight and Billy. The whole reason I started this thread was that Killer can't see the same blue tint that Survivors can at 24 meters and can't hear the pretty loud chime until he's standing on top of it. Idk how saying the area needs to be indicated to the Killer too is controversial.
Seeing the blue tint around your screen is completely fair to me because aside from the small area where the sound plays, there is no other indication unless the Killer just randomly guesses.
Jumping to Tier 2 with Nemesis isn't even a big deal, it happens pretty fast if you aren't chasing just one person the whole game lol even Tier 3 happens kinda fast and it's very fun!

No, its 24 for everyone, at the edge you can still hear a very faint tune and you still see the blue aura, it works similar to how TR works, the closer the higher but you can still hear them at 24 meters and you most definitely can see the blue tint.
No you don't see the blue aura as Killer. That is completely untrue, I have never ever seen the blue tint around my screen. Only as Survivor.

CoH is really not that bad. You can counter it with some anti-heal perks or add-ons. Sloppy is great. If they heal slowly, i don't mind that. This gives me enough time to pressure on generators.
I am also playing Sadako with Sloppy + Nurse build. I am not chasing survivors, just hit & run. I am doing alright. Some maps have so much stupidly strong loops and this maps are problem, not CoH.
You'd end chases faster on fair maps. Maps needs to look, CoH is on good spot right now for me.
That really feels like a Circle of Healing problem to me. Like I said in another comment, scale generator repair speed with map size. That sounds like an easy nerf to me, if the map is gigantic then scale Boon's power and gen speed. Speaking of Nemesis... I REALLY like Nemesis. He is so much fun!! People complained about his tentacle strike needing 3 hits but like I'm having such a good time with him right now.

This is not abuse.
And personally, when the Boon is on the other side of the Map, I dont really have a problem with it as Killer. Because at least the Survivor has to spend a lot of time getting there. Would be different if it is in the middle of the Map on another Floor.
However, Perks or Perk Combinations are not abused. Like, nobody said that Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer is abusing something, despite this combo being quite oppressive.
Same if you look for Grab-Builds with old Prayer Beads (for Gens and Totems). Strong. But no abuse at all.
Oh yeah time, that sure matters for Survivors currently not in a chase and genrushing at the start of the map? No I believe it's not the biggest time sink ever for a single Survivor to divide their attention while the rest of their friends gen rush. I don't get to spawn with 2 Killers tho, unless I'm Twins!

@Seraphor said:

Nobody is abusing a perk just by virtue of using it, no.
But that does not mean perks cannot be abused.
Sticking CoH at a distant safe loop, and then running to that safe space after every hit while another team mate takes aggro and repeats that process, puts the game in a stalemate that the killer cannot resolve. Only by committing to an unwinnable chase, in order to snuff out that totem, and thereby guarantee they lose the final gen. After which the illusive booner can just rebless and repeat.
With sufficiently coordinated survivors, this is as unplayable for the killer as a Boil Over in the corner with no hooks within 50m, and is tantamount to taking the game hostage.
Is that 'abuse'? I suppose it depends on the intentions of the survivors, which isn't possible to confirm, but fairly easy to infer.
Oh my god, thank you for putting what I've been trying to say so eloquently! This can easily happen unless you expect Boon every game and prepare counters for that Boon. Sometimes you might even have to use a map offering just to pick a smaller map you can gen pressure a lot easier. Why don't generators and Boons scale with map size so that bigger maps are actually playable with Killers that aren't Blight??

Oh my god thank you, I thought I was going crazy for a second because as Survivor I would always hear it as a non-directional ambient noise but pretty much what you described as Killer!
I mean that's kinda funny because they just outed that they never played against Boon as Killer or they would have known that lol

You don't need Nurse, Spirit or Blight. You can be good with other killers too.
I am doing good with Nemmy for example. If you are bad on game, strong killers will not make you better.
Never said I was bad, I'm literally playing Nemmy right now too. He's my boy, I love him! I just bought him a few days ago because I saw a lot of his gameplay videos and I really liked his sound design and tentacle power.
Just, Boon makes everything a struggle. I've been playing DbD since 2019 and healing was never this bad, even when I encountered medkits, styptics, syringes and even Botany Knowledge users. Completely undoes a whole minute of progress spent in a chase and my only counter is to first use my ears to locate the tile it's on instead of gen pressuring or chasing people, then stomp it, then go do something else while the Mikaela magically teleports into the exact spot and blesses the same totem again or a different one if I used Shattered I guess.
It is just... So exhausting. I do not have fun fighting this Boon, two Survivors healing 1 was already powerful but now 3 can heal each other in like 10 seconds or something and sometimes bring a medkit and Botany on top of that?? Why?

Can i give you a little advice?
If you want a conversation where both parties can tell their side of their stories and give their idea input, try acting a little aggressively to almost everyone who says anything.
You don't have to like their ideas just like they don't have to like yours, but both can give their ideas without being attacked.
Also giving accurate info about the perk will also help with being taken seriously.
And yes i know how CoH was, been against it and have used it as well.
I have given my idea about the perk in a few other posts already so I'm not gonna talk about it again.
But my advice is to be a bit less aggressive against everyone who doesn't share your opinion 😉✌️
I will try, but I feel like a pretty big idiot when the first response anyone can think of to a nerf idea is to throw around insults and assumptions about my skill. It's not like I'm actually having trouble getting 4Ks only because of this one Boon, but it drags games out far longer than they need to be and just gets very annoying to fight against, then while I go to snuff it out they pop a gen so most of the time I leave most Boon totems up.
The time and effort to find and snuff out a Boon if I don't just happen to pass by it in a chase? A complete waste. The time that I as a Killer need to spend to flick off a literal Healing boost lightswitch with a pretty long stomping animation is a complete waste when they get no cooldown on putting down another one right after even if I did use Shattered Hope. That perk just means they won't get to use that totem. Oh woohooo, they'll do this 4 more times. So much fun lol

You said I don’t play killer. Now your going at me for playing demogorgon and pyramid head the most. Lmao so what?
also pyramid head doesn’t have map pressure
No but Pyramid Head does have the Punishment, he has a huge advantage in a chase against 1 person. He can end chases much faster than a Killer without anti-loop but with Gen Pressure. I'm not going at you, I'm just saying you have a natural advantage in this circumstance. You won't lose much time at all chasing a person down if you're decent.
For Demo, while he is considered weak, he still has portals and from my personal experience, those apply pressure pretty decently even if they're easy to close and his other ability counters holding W and is slightly anti-loop. Even if you close one of his portals, he gets Killer Instinct against anyone close to his portals. When a Survivor does that, you still end up getting some information on the location of Survivors with no perks.

You can hear the boon at 24 meters.
And yes, you are THAT bad, Im assuming this because you cant even pinpoint Boon locations and current CoH is giving this you enough problems you had to come to the forum to demand an absurd nerf. Hell you even have a post like this in your history "Literally eat flashlights, walk right into a pallet stun and chase 1 person the entire game without scoring a single hit. Only way Survivors won't complain but they still will clown on you in Endgame chat for no reason" Really, getting looped for 5 gens and not scoring a single hit? Im sorry but... come on.
You CANNOT hear the Boon at 24 meters. It is NOT possible. In my experience, the chimes don't even start playing until you are barely 5 meters within its radius. The sounds do NOT trigger. The actual directional audio cue at the very least does not trigger until you are literally right on top of it, the range of the directional audio cue is half as much as the hatch.
I am able to pinpoint Boon locations if I waste over a minute of my time looking for them. Sure, you might say "then what's the point of complaining about it?" because I can only snuff it out. When you snuff it out, even WITH Shattered Hope, the Survivor who placed it can instantly bless another totem as soon as you do it. There is no punishment for a Killer snuffing out your totem and if they don't sacrifice a perk slot for a perk you might not even take, you can just bless the same Totem again with no punishment and cooldown.
There is ZERO SKILL involved in finding a Totem in the corner of the map, blessing it then sneaking away to that corner of the map every time you start losing a chase. Two of your teammates heal you in less than five seconds, no punishment. I COULD chase them down but you see, they're holding W and I'm not Blight or Spirit and now they're even further away than any gens I should be pressuring. Defeated by the W key because my Killer happens to not have gen pressure, ranged attacks or anti-loop built in.

how do you know they don’t play killer???
How do they know that the reason Circle of Healing is so bad to play against is because I'm just bad at the game?? Maybe if people did a little less assuming, came up with their OWN SUGGESTIONS for nerfs instead of saying "No, terrible idea and also let me insult you for literally no reason lmao" and not suggest any of their own ideas or form constructive feedback, this would be a discussion and not whatever this is.
No one in this entire thread has made any statement to the effect of "oh yeah for sure, Circle of Healing needs a nerf but I don't like your idea personally. Here's my idea" or "no, Circle of Healing is just fine in its current state" it has always been "No, idiot. Lol. Lmao. Also you're bad at the game. Lmao."

What are you saying? Boon circles are 24 meters not 1,5 and healing in a Boon takes 21 seconds not 2, if you are going to demand absurd changes at least dont lie about stats everyone can look at the wiki.
If you are so bad someone you are chasing gets to heal inside a Boon without you being able to either down the Survivor or snuff the totem you really need to git gud because its a skill problem in your end.
Did I say the BOON AREA OF EFFECT was 1.5 meters ever?? Where did I say that? I said, the range the Killer can hear the SOUND of the Boon from. I didn't say area of effect, read what I said again. Let me quote it for you: "looking for the 1.5 meter circle around the Boon where the chime comes from?" Where the CHIME comes from. Did I say anything about its EFFECTS?
No, I'm not that bad. I'm busy pressuring gens because after I hit them, they made it to another loop and I decided pressuring gens was a better usage of my time. If I DIDN'T do that, I would get genrushed.
Seriously assuming I'm bad with no evidence just to say Circle of Healing is somehow in a good spot right now??

No that's definitely not abuse, that's co-ordinated gameplay. Killer can commit to the chase, snuff out the totem, use a perk to remove the totem from the game.
No, they can't use a perk to remove Boon. They can use a perk to snuff out the totem and remove a SPECIFIC dull totem from the game, upon which Survivors can use another one with zero cooldown. Why Killer using the effects of a totem instantly notifies all Survivors and the specific Hex in use, but Killer can only guess if a Boon is in use by looking at the scoreboard, I have no idea.
Why can a totem be blessed instantly as soon as the Killer turns around, but when a Killer's Hex is cleansed the Totem is also destroyed and can only be renewed with a perk, but only renewed once and only as a Dull Totem? No idea.
At some point I feel like it's a complete time waste, when Shattered Hope doesn't even cause a second of cooldown and another Totem can be blessed as soon as one is found. Why do I need to spend a perk slot on something that should be basekit, when snuffing a Boon totem on its own is so useless and such a waste of time when they're just gonna bless it again and if you decide to camp it, they can just bless any of the other ones, unless you're running a bunch of Hexes so they are forced to bless a Hex totem. Something they are allowed to do for whatever reason. Why can they bless a Hex totem and why aren't they forced to just cleanse it? No clue, but I guess I ran 4 Hex perks to block all Totems for no reason at all.
Honestly if you just played no animation for snuffing Boons and just had the Killer turn it off like a lightswitch and only Shattered Hope had an animation for stomping it that lasted 0.3 seconds, I could kinda see the balance of Boon: Circle of Healing being decent but in its current state it's awful.

Trapper's traps resetting every 30 seconds should become basekit. That's all he really needs.
Sadako needs her lullaby removed and the rate of Condemned increasing by a more reasonable amount, although I'll admit that I've been getting a lot more Moris with her that way lately since survivors seem to no longer view Condemned as a threat (because it isn't if they're paying attention). Alternatively, keep it the way it is, but survivors should become Exposed when Condemned reaches maximum.
More weak Killers definitely need a way to instadown Survivors that also ties in to their main weakness like lack of gen-pressure, lack of anti-loop or just lack of a ranged attack.
Trapper should have more trap abilities, his traps seriously need the ability to down Survivors.

I mean the more time you are chasing a Survivor, the less time they spend getting that bear trap off their heads. It does work sometimes but you're just complaining about players, not saying Pig needs a buff which she DOES.
If I was buffing Pig I would give her like 6 Reverse Bear Traps as basekit or INFINITE bear traps. Maybe her bear traps regenerate or she can collect them somewhere, but from my experience Bear Traps aren't a big problem for Survivors. They don't have a lot of trouble removing them then going right back to generators, Pig almost completely relies on people not knowing how her mechanic works to make any use of her ability.
A slightly well coordinated team can make you completely run out of bear traps and then what's the point?

It baffles me how some people on here just read what they WANT to read, instead of what others are actually saying. What I said comes from a place of understanding, because that type of response to such a match is human behaviour.
I play both sides 50/50 and I don't worry about anyone's build, IDGAF. Just because they have DH doesn't mean that they don't DH into a wall. Or any other perk, and if they are truly skillful at using their perks and outplay me, good on them.
It baffles me how you are literally doing just the thing you complained at me for doing. It's like fighting a team in Team Fortress 2 with SIX engineers and FOUR SNIPERS. Sure! It's in the game, it sure is a part of the game to not have class limits.
.........Does that mean it is fun and fair though. Does that mean that this is an INTENDED DESIGN and not more likely developer oversight, that an inattentive dev team failed to address and in the case of BHVR, is intentionally taking as much time as possible to address because they fear if they acted quickly, they would instantly get backlash and people would start quitting the game and playing it a lot less? Sure, for a very low MMR like yours where you said yourself that you don't care much about being outplayed, these balance issues never really become a big, sore problem. For higher MMRs where I'm currently playing though, you will find that it literally physically becomes UNWINNABLE UNLESS YOU run annoying builds that you would never wanna fight and use Killers with either good anti-looping, very good gen pressure, a ranged ability or an instadown. Let's call this the Killer Formula.
Notice how I never complained about Dead Hard btw. Dead Hard was never a deciding factor in a game between me completely losing and completely winning, but Boon: Circle of Healing for example is a whole different story. Can completely delete any progress I achieve, which can take up to 2 minutes sometimes, of wounding all 4 Survivors. VERY important, decisive perk choice that can destroy any Killer that isn't using the Killer Formula and just wants to have fun.

Stand still or spawn on the hook next time, only this way killers will not complain
Literally eat flashlights, walk right into a pallet stun and chase 1 person the entire game without scoring a single hit. Only way Survivors won't complain but they still will clown on you in Endgame chat for no reason.
"OMG TUNNELING, PROXY CAMPING WHY DIDN'T YOU LITERALLY LEAVE THE MAP SO I COULD SAFELY UNHOOK smh"

Just ignore people and play how ever you want. You are not cheating, everything you did is legal. So they can cry to devs if they have problem.
It took devs OVER 3 YEARS to address the unintentional buff of Decisive when Enduring didn't affect its timer. Only NOW did they nerf the stun timer back to 3 seconds as it used to be for a while. After nerfing Enduring, they never buffed it again. Now it's literally the most useless, niche perk in the game when it used to have a lot of potential to reduce the most unfun aspect of the game being all the possible stunlock situations Survivors could cause for a Killer.
Devs don't care though, only now a little bit to "shake up the meta." I'm happy they are but it's all a little too late isn't it?

They're probably upset about their own gameplay and are taking it out on you guys. Just childish behaviour.
"It couldn't possibly be you, blame them!"- you are literally doing that which the Killer is supposedly doing here, without trying to understand why it could be frustrating or how it might have been a bad idea to use a build like that if you wanna look casual.
@Seraphor said:
Why don't you try playing killer and find out for yourself?
Genrushing isn't fun.
Denying hooks isnt fun.
Being tunneled isn't fun.
Being camped isn't fun.
These are all extremes, there's a lot of middle ground if you just play the game normally.
Imagine if the killer downed you all and slugged for a 4K within the first 2 minutes, before any gens were repaired. That's how genrushing feels.
Imagine the killer facecamping, instantly grabbing everone who attempted a hook rescue, denying you any chance of making the save. That's what the hook-denying build feels like.
Pretty much, you can just ask people who play a lot of Killer (me personally I play both Survivor and Killer for fun and as Survivor I literally opt out of using some builds and items just because of how ridiculous they are and how unfun they are to play against as Killer, yet I still have a lot of fun.)

Playing some games with friends and 3 killers in a row complained to us in the end game chat about how we're ruining the game because we did gens too fast and they didn't have a chance, and understanding that maybe they felt frustrated about that, we switched up the build.
We bring Boon: Exponential, Soul Guard, and Power Struggle/Flip Flop and we have a huge amount of fun goofing around and we all die with 3 gens up and everyone has over 25K points and they complain about us being bullies even though we all died?
Do gens while someone gets chased and you're genrushing, interact with the killer and goof around not doing gens, you're bullying. 😩
Can anyone clarify what exactly they want from me, should I simply go stand under the hook and AFK?
Please try to read this ENTIRE post. I put a lot of thought into it and some of my gripes with this game come into it in a vital way that many Killers can relate to.
So, they complain about you being bullies because it really does on the face of it look like a tryhard SWF build, it does look like you were trying to win with that. As a Killer, triumphing over a build like this? It's not fun. It's very frustrating actually.
Stunlocks are one of the most unfun game mechanics ever and if it means completely freezing in place unable to do anything while the enemy team can either kill you, taunt you or do the objectives right infront of your face faster and more efficiently, it's a humiliation. It's hard to see it as good natured fun when you completely lose control and for a game where the Killer is supposed to be a scary, unstoppable force not to be played around or messed with, it makes the entire game out to be a joke. Killers become far less powerful and Survivors become far less scared, where it was supposed to be respectively a Power Fantasy and a Survival Horror game for each. Personally if you DO end up Power Struggle pallet slamming me, then blind me with a flashlight, then Sprint Burst away then bless a totem with any Boon perk (it's literally always Circle of Healing)? I would probably not be very happy and would just tunnel you to death hook. Maybe I'd even just slug you until you bled out if your teammates were making it hard for me to even pick you up off the ground.

Running Perks is not "abusing" anything.
To your idea - no.
Running Haunted Grounds, Undying, Pentimento and Ruin isn't "abusing anything" either. You're not in position of authority here, you're not one of the developers dude. I don't care if you say no because you can't see the Killer side of things and you abuse a broken perk with no downsides.

Another day, another brilliant idea on these forums /s
Damn another Survivor main abusing the Boon totems, I feel you bro lol
-
Why should it be easier FOR YOU to negate all the consequences of a chase in barely 2 seconds and for me to spend at least a solid minute looking for the 1.5 meter circle around the Boon where the chime comes from? Not even that, then I have to waste a perk destroying one of my OWN totems but you can literally instantly place another Boon if you feel like it.
Oh yeah highly skilled plays for sure my dude. Blessing a Totem, really earned that free Self-care and doubled healing speed.

I also have quite a bit of hours in this game. Balancing this game isn't a thing that's easy to do and nearly impossible. That being said, introducing elements in this game that would make the balance worse is something that shouldn't be done. Just because there's a handful of full premade swfs that want to make the killer have a bad time, doesn't mean that you should introduce an offering that ruins the game for everyone else.
I'm not sure how you can tell if you're going against a full premade swf at all times or not, but you also have to remember that there are other players who have less experience than you. Introducing this item for lowering MMR killers to use against people who just downloaded the game would not be the best interest for BHVR to do. You wanting to kill a bully squad in higher MMR is not an excuse to create a broken offering.
If I'm talking about something that affects one side pretty negatively and one side VERY VERY positively, why would I randomly bring up the entire dynamics of the game? How is it selfish to wanna see fun offerings like Ebony Mori come into play more? I play both Survivor and Killer, I am by NO MEANS a Killer main or Survivor main and I think Moris were sick.
They were a good way of punishing poor plays and taking huge, unnecessary risks.
-
@dugman said:
I use the Mori offerings because I like the animations, simple as that. 🙂 That being said, the Red Mori does offer a small benefit in that it can't be stopped by stuns or Decisive Strike. If you are next to the survivor when you down them after their second hook you are guaranteed to get that kill (barring maybe some oddball shenanigans I'm not thinking of at the moment.)
And that's fine! The most common offerings for example are bloodpoint bonuses which have zero effect on the match itself. A mori is just a fun animation offering plus the minor bonus of perfectly safe kills.
If I was going to change one thing about the mori offerings, it would be the whole "secret" part of it is kind of dumb. If a killer runs a secret offering there's only two options - Moris or the offering that separates the survivors. And I'm pretty sure the general consensus among killer mains is that the offering which separates survivors is actually really bad for the killer, the last thing you typically want as a killer is all the survivors being spread out all over the map doing gens solo. So there's not really anything "secret" about a mori offering, other than which rarity it is. Plus, unlike the much older versions of the moris, these current versions don't offer any really major benefits that need to be kept hidden from the survivors.
If they really want these offerings to be Secrets, just don't show them at all on the public offerings screen, or show a random fake offering instead. There's not much point to an offering being face down when everybody either knows what it is or has no reason to care what it is.
No you don't get to avoid a DS, because by the time you get them to second hook stage and they get rescued their DS is already off.

i cant tell if this is bait or not..
the only person in the RE chapter that was done right is Leon... everyone else got butchered.
Have you??
Different face models though, as per RE tradition. Other than that they're identical, and this is indeed Chris Redfield from 1998 and specifically not from the events of RE5. The face model is not based on any of the face models from the games, maybe the live action one and concept art.

Yikes, you definitely deserve that Iron Will nerf if this is how you play. Circle of Healing and no shame? Seriously? How is it even balanced in its current state?

Balance wise its bad design for an offering to just exist to give one side a massive advantage.
Imagine if survivors could run an offering to get a 4th hook state? Regardless so many things for survivors were absolutely destroyed for the sake of balance, keys, toolboxes, flashlights.
"The whole point was that it was a fun offering and punished something that was completely avoidable: getting hooked at all and getting downed."
What? Are you serious? That's your counter to ebony Mori, don't get hook? Well then killers better not complain if survivors completely destroy without that offering. That entitlement is insane. Survivors aren't bots for your entertainment.
"You need to be quite a bad player at this point to get to third hook and get yourself involved in a chase to begin with."
Man so many amazing survivors. Simply incredible how many forum posts are from the absolute peak of the player base. Seriously though killers are managing just fine. Even if you disagree, your solution is to throw on an offering to lower the hooks form 12 too 4? Fantastic balance, throw on this offering to auto win, cause that's fun.
Ebony Mori is fine the way it is. It removes the need to do the pick up, carry and hook animations for the 3rd hook, completely negates DS on all survivors and even if you think that balance it gives the killers no actual game advantage, you still get to nifty animation for your kills.
I don't see the issue unless you just want to able able throw on an auto win offering.
There is literally a score penalty to getting hooked, and if the Killer is running a red Mori which you can guess by seeing that it's hidden, why wouldn't you assume it could be an Ebony Mori?
It certainly needs a bit of a buff. In its current state it's literally only to counter I guess Killer laziness or a team that somehow took down all your hooks.

As people know, I do not like the Resident Evil Chapter as a huge Resident Evil fan. It's my favorite game franchise. When it released it was clear they didn't know what makes the character of Nemesis what he is and I would hope realize that you can't just shove whatever you want onto a character just because they slightly did that. Such as Nemesis infecting people. Sure he can do that but he only ever did it once and the effects were completely different. Jill immediately gets knocked out and overtime would just become A zombie. This obviously isn't at all the case with DBD. But it didn't make sense to represent Nemesis in this way as if this was what Nemesis did a lot in he game. Doing this is like making Michael's power pinning you to the wall or something. Sure he did it but why is that his power? The models and killer power were the biggest problems with the chapter. Every model except Leon looks very odd and nothing like them. And I already talked about the power.
This is how it released a year ago. How is it now? Nothing has changed sadly. While I am sort of excited for the Project W chapter, it's baffling how you can just go into a sequel chapter without fixing the first. The first is still in a bad state where the licenses audience just doesn't care. The chance was ruined to bring people in but they just left after. Probably to just play Resident Evil and REsistance for the true Nemesis experience (Birkin, Yateveo and Mr. X are there as well). What are you hoping to accomplish? How many are really gonna come back when the first impression was pretty bad for them with the disrespect to the license and there insane technical issues of that time? Also remember the map basically didn't exist then. The character models were also very weird which probably pushed them away. Jill just has a bunch of marshmallows in her mouth at all times, Chris is for no good reason, A non canon version of him, and Claire was... A demon. Nemesis also has many, many small details that add up a lot and looks very odd. And what's worse is that the trailer models looks so good. Why couldn't they just use those? Anyways, people are still waiting for the true Resident Evil Chapter with Resident Evil characters. Please BHVR, Nemesis is nothing like him. Try and fix it.
Canonically you are totally wrong. That IS how the character of Chris Redfield should look because Resident Evil 1 and 2 took place in the exact same year of 1998. So no, that is canon Chris, he just looks much more cartoony and unrealistic compared to the proper remake characters from 2 and 3 that were made over a decade after the Resident Evil 1 remake on GameCube.
Resident Evil 5 Chris, that is the only high definition equivalent of Chris in this situation, canonically doesn't exist yet and wouldn't make sense. With Project W they presumably will introduce Sheva and new Chris in this manner.
Also the trailer models don't look significantly better. Jill, Leon, Claire and Nemesis look very correct and accurate to their game counterparts but with much worse animations lol. Balancing Nemesis that way was completely intentional. Freddy Krueger isn't nearly as powerful as he was in the movies either.

Tunneling and camping are done by weak minded individuals who lack the desire and patience to develop skills at this game. And that's fine. For those losers. They don't really "win" those matches. Everyone loses when they play like that. They're only screwing themselves by putting themselves in a higher mmr than what their actual skill level is. If we believe mmr works as intended...
Win or lose, I have fun as long as killer doesn't rely on cheap, lazy & greasy tactics like tunneling or camping. Don't care what perks they bring aside from Franklin's. It can be a very fun game. Just not when trash people use trash tactics.
Yeah, with how Boon: Circle of Healing is right now, you bet I will bring a lot of Franklin's to delete your Brand New Part and five thousand flashlights. I do agree these strategies result in getting unusually high MMR way too fast.

Thank god they got such a disgustingly powerful meta perk under control, though.
"I'm really happy they didn't nerf a well rounded, balanced perk like Boon and INSTEAD nerfed the insanely overpowered Self-Care and Spine Chill. Those were the two perks that always caused me to get no Kills as Killer! :/"-some Killer main in BHVR's mind?

Crazy to think that bots would be a significant improvement over a lot of teammates.
At least they'd touch generators.
You could so easily train a bot on how to perform a loop and repair a generator, though you would run into problems with how aware bots should be. Should bots always detect the Killer within a range like a really alert Survivor? Can bots get distracted and not see someone with Undetectable, or are they still very alert?
-
Some people define "tunneling" and "camping" as, "I let myself get hooked very easily and I'm not very good at chases but PLEASE stop chasing me because I personally don't like it" and "how dare you share a Terror Radius with the hook?? PROXY CAMPER"
Camping is only actually camping when you are sitting barely 3 meters away from the hooked person. Proxy camping literally doesn't exist.

Idk my games lately ( I know the update hasn't hit) its non stop. Like the game isn't even enjoyable. Finished most of the event and I got the rift done, So now I think Im hanging up the towel til update day. I get that killers want kills, but honestly being on the end of tunneled and slugged and face camped until you're dead is just no fun at all and it gets boring. lol
I mean slugging is a legitimate strategy. I can see how tunneling wouldn't be fun, like a killer finds you 1 minute later and tries to hook you again and follows you after that again but slugging is a completely legitimate strategy that is very easily counterable. Even tunneling is very easy to counter without DS. Just genrush lol

tbh if someone wants to bring easily counterable 'meta' perks (ds, bt, dh, iw) and waste all 4 perk slots (all 16 if all 4 survivors are like that) let them. if they wanna bring boring perks that are predictable, i dont see why we shouldnt let them.
people complain about how ds gets in the way of them securing the kill as if that isnt why the perk is there. they havent had a chance to escape. if you're playing the game right, people with ds, have a useless perk because you're not going after them, its not hard to chase someone else.
a lot of the changes were pretty useless besides maybe noeds
No for sure it isn't hard but 1 minute is a very long amount of time in the game. A lot of things can happen, if you get hooked seconds apart because your team didn't bring BT or didn't take a hit for you? Entirely your fault.
It's in the game, if you're good at getting hooked fast and repeatedly you shouldn't be rewarded with a free wiggle. Your team should at least struggle to body block for you and take damage in the process, just DS on its own in its current state stuns the Killer for FIVE SECONDS.
