Nemesis... A normal 115% killer with no mobility that has to hit you 3 times to build up his power which by itself takes a couple minutes against decent survivors.
How is that op ?
One of the reasons I never tried him yet even tho I own the chapter.
Seems like I will be wasting a lot of time tiering up. I can tier up more quickly and easily with tp myers lmao. Don't even need to hit people.
And I can kill someone not just put them on the hook if I time it right.
-
I feel bad going even against good billies tbh. It is like encountering endangered species.
-
I have 4x more hours on survivor and still think that game is surv sided when team doesn't mess around and have basic understanding of tiles.
-
I played some surv games after a break and it is playable for me. Altough I didn't go against Legion and Nemesis.
I will play some killer tomorrow or the day after and see how that goes. I can try those two.
-
I have most hours on Myers and Legion I think.
The only stronger killer I played, and not a lot, is Spirit. Played Bubba before his rework a little but that doesn't count.
I also love pig.
I don't think those three are underrated tho. I just liked playing them.
-
^^

The ride never ends.
-
Plenty of people on both sides abuse a lot of unbalanced stuff in the game and it pumps their ego.
Yes they think they are skilled and like to bm their opponents like they outplayed them and did something incredible. I would say that this game attracts tons of people who can't achieve anything skillful in video games in general so they feed their narcissism in dbd.
-
Because I find more value in other perks atm. And insidious instadown situations are very rare for me.
Kindred is good and helps in a lot of different ways tho.
-
People are hypocrites, nothing new. That goes for killers also.
And most gamers are disrespectful and toxic in my 10 year online experience. It is rare to see nice people in pvp games.
-
No because you are not held hostage by cheaters so often.
If you are not rage quitting you have nothing to worry about.
-
If you get decent teammates it is less stressful.
If you don't it can be, but to me still a better option than playing m1 killers for hooks.
-
Where do you see this happening?
Dc's are bad from both sides.
Survivor dc's make things bad for other teammates and helps the killer except when someone dc's to give a hatch.
When killer dc's survs keep their bps and items.
I think both are bad but surv dc'ing hurts more.

No, it's easy to see that it is, it's difficult to prove that it is.
The second you want to argue that MMR is terrible you get a hoarde of white knights busting out ######### like 'oh you're probably just not as high as you think you are,' 'it just takes a while to settle.'
Since ranks are gone there's no definitive way to show in an image or video that there's a distinct difference between the players in a match.
My experience as survivor is better than before sbmm but I am still not denying what others say and I even tested it myself.
But yeah, you are right. A lot of people will probably attack someone like op. It happened to me too when they tested the mmr and I had bad experience. They said I was bad and I am right where I belong.
Funny that I see some of the same people crying how bad their teammates are now and sbmm is not working for them. They are not even consistent when something doesn't benefit them.
-
@anarchy753 said:
Wait, a matchmaking system in DBD is terrible at actually putting people of similar skill levels together?
Colour me surprised Pikachu.
In all seriousness though, the only reason the front page isn't littered with these complaints any more is because they hid our MMR which is, I'm guessing, the only goal behind SBMM. Can't have negative publicity about how terrible your games rank balancing is if nobody can show a screenshot to prove it.
It is actually easy to prove it. At least on console. I can play dbd on different accounts where I never played before and see if I am matched with experienced players from the get go.
But I already saw it with my own eyes when I afk'ed as killer on my survivor account (where I never play killer) and went against purple perked survivors three games in a row.
They could have been tanking their mmr to bully new killers but few times in a row getting those people? Don't buy it tbh. And considering how many people report sbmm being weird I don't find it hard to believe.

its basically the same all day. tho this is the first time ive gotten a person who didnt even know how to run
Damn. For me It is usually ok during the day when it comes to teammates but gets weird at night (eu). I usually avoid playing surv at night unless I really feel like it.
But I still think it doesn't work right and a lot of new players reported being matched with experienced players.
-
Is your experience the same during different time of the day?
-
I think survivors spend more. Mostly on cosmetics.

Yeah I'm sure I'll be back (I do really love this game, while also hating it at times)...just need to get some distance for a bit. Too many nasty groups right now and too much MMR weirdness making it worse.
Understandable. You can always play survivor (also not perfect but less stressful to me at least) or play unconventional killer builds.
I rarely have a bad time with tp+jmm myers for example. I am not going for 4ks unless I encounter toxic teams. I usually let 2 people go to keep my mmr in check. It kinda feels good when bm'ing survivors just feed my power and someone dies because of it lul.
I am completely burned out of playing killer normally. Too much work because I love playing the weaker ones like pig and legion for example. And I am somewhat of a survivor main anyway even tho I played both. More hours on survivor.
Just don't force yourself to like the game if you don't.

people don't like fun then.
Why do you think everyone else finds it fun when you deny them points/perks/challenge?
Don't cry when people refuse to heal you after you do, it is also "fun" for me.

What instadown killers do we have? Hillbilly, Shape, Cannibal, Ghost Face, and Oni I think is all of them? Hmmmm, most are licensed so I'd say chances are a licensed killer if we get one. Although it's been 2 years since the last instadown killer, I'm not getting my hopes up but I'd love to see one. Literally, I think Oni's dbd birthday was yesterday.
I'm not sure why, but besides Leatherface, I find all the instadown killers fairly enjoyable to play against and play as. I'd love to see another.
Yeah I find them interesting as well. Would love to see another one.
-
That is why I rarely pay attention to challenges and only do the ones neccessary for completion.
It usually works for me, just playing the game like usual and most of them get done except the few pesky ones I had to focus on so I can proceed.

Tp+Jmm Myers.

The RNG is almost never against Survivors. Five years of playing this game has convinced me of that. I have played tons of games with loops that were nigh-unwinnable for a skilled M1 Killer without Bamboozle, for example. Something a Killer has no control over unless they always run that one specific perk. Survivors are never forced into a no-win like that; if they are screwed it's because of their decisions.
It is when rng gives you questionable teammates. Sbmm is not perfect either. Survivor is a team game and one weak link can sometimes turn the game around. Bad decisions from other survivors can affect you too.
Also like I said without pallets you can't work with certain tiles that much anymore. If you run the killer for a while it is inevitable you will go down eventually. And if your teammates weren't efficient on gens looping for two years wouldn't help you anyway.
Solo survivor is not always that easy as you might think. Dunno how much you played that role in your 5 years but if you did you would know that I think.
Not every loss is on you just like with killer. There are a lot of situations in dbd you can't really do anything about as a solo q survivor just like when you play killer. I am usually lucky with my surv games since the sbmm and satisfied with my teammates but it still changes from time to time.
You are being to harsh to the person who didn't bm the killer, played fairly and still left to bleed out for 4 mins at the end. This is not a vs thing. Both sides can suffer.

You're right. it's not always possible.
Sometimes you get caught and killed. That's the point.
You said they weren't good enough and that was the reason they died. Which isn't neccessarily the case in dbd since the game is very unbalanced and rng is a thing.
That was my point.

Am I being illogical? If you tried something impossible, then the fault lies with you. You set yourself up to fail.
I said nothing about M1 Killers and my that logic does not in any way follow. There is a difference between a thing you believe you're skilled enough to do but aren't and just plain impossible things due to balance. Remember - Killers are racing against the clock with 4 opponents and 16 perks to outthink them. If their kits aren't good enough and Killer perks in general aren't strong enough or they make a mistake or a map layout is bad or the survivors are an SWF on voice with coordinated obnoxious strats who call out your every move...that makes it far less likely you'll win. That's not fair or balanced; it's very unbalanced in the survivors' favor. Just an example.
Then you are biased and make no sense.
So what was op supposed to do? Killer was chasing him for a while and resources were most likely depleted by the end.
If the killer sees you (which happens to even blendettes) they start chasing you, losing them is not always an option nor possible. It depends on a lot of factors. Also ever played solo q?
While it can be a breeze with decent teammates, if they aren't that good there is not much you can do to win sometimes even if you just play selfishly.

Hostile? It's a fact; if you tried to do something and failed, you weren't good enough. No insult is intended, that's just how it is.
If all resources are gone and teammates took their time to do gens it is not possible to loop forever depending on a map even if you are a god. You are being illogical.
By your logic unviable m1 killers just need to git gud against swf and 4k on haddonfield. If they can't it is on them.
-
Bones.
-
I only do it sometimes if survivor/s try to mock me with teabags and clicking the whole game.
If they enjoy mocking others they can surely enjoy this experience as well.
Not saying you were toxic of course, I get bm'ed by killers when I didn't bm them. It happens from both sides.
Still, I wouldn't be against bleed out button. But only if one survivor is left or the whole team is slugged. And time for unbreakables or whatever passed.

There definitely are victims of unsafe unhook farming, so you don’t act like there’s only one side of the equation. Also, people kill themselves on hook for other reasons too. Real life emergencies, trying to give the only other survivor a chance at the hatch, whatever. Not to mention denying another survivor playing in an unsuitable way any additional BP or chance at winning.
I know there are but for me being denied an unhook is worse than being hook farmed. The amount of people who try to kobe in my face is already too high.
I can use perks to deal with being farmed but I can't deal with petty teammates wasting time. Maybe because I am not really scared of being farmed like others are since I rarely get down immediately after unhook depending on a killer.
I don't see it as a big deal personally but I know it sucks and people should either have bt or take a hit for you.

It's not as though successfully unhooking someone like that is going to give you much of an advantage, though. If they want to troll, they're going to troll, and if they want out of the match then they're just not gonna play.
The only actual negative scenarios this would create for the survivor side is that people who farm unhooks are gonna get punished for it, but... shouldn't they? It's a bad play, it shouldn't go well for them.
Camaraderie with declining unhooks would ruin this game for me tbh. And if a teammate has a grudge on you for whatever reason and we already know how community is they would deny you points and wait for others to unhook them.
Just like when they kobe or dlv in your face except this would waste time for the whole team.
@GoshJosh said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2675310#Comment_2675310
You know that’s not when it’s happening. It’s when someone on hook wants out of a match ASAP, or to not be farmed, and is being denied that option. It’s this or the person just DCs, AFKs, or throws even harder (i.e. dropping all the pallets around the map).
Make your choice.
If you are giving up that easily and want out maybe play other games instead of leaving other teammates with harder games and denying them unhook points as well.
Don't act like victim if you do this.
-
I wish majority of people would stop and think about consequences of their proposals before making them.
Imagine the amount of trolling this would lead to when people would deny the unhooks and waste time for everyone else in the game.
It is auto loss when even one person does this in a solo team because others wouldn't know and would run from a nearly completed gen to unhook a troll.

That's what I'm finding weird, what is going on that it's during the time between that performance seems to get worse. It's like there's a memory leak that's not resetting when you close out of the game so performance just gets worse.
Thats funny actually because at least two times after an update I posted here how the game is running well only to have different experience few games or a day or two later without them changing anything.
Maybe it is not a coincidence then? I am not playing dbd now but if this happens to you it probably will for me too.
-
Tie or 1k.
-
That is what I am thinking too.
People are too focused on survivor perks as well. There are people who can loop effectively without any chase oriented perks and people who can't would just "get good" and adapt if they nerfed them.
Too many broken setups that killers can't afford to waste time on. And survivors take advantage of that (including me).
Maps and tiles are the main issue.
-
I think people who mained billy play bubba and oni now.
-
James just needs to pay the entrance fee.
Nothing wrong with the map tbh.

What I'm getting out of all of this is that people expect me to get multiple games in a row, either indoor or on high wall maps, against Wraiths, Pigs, and Ghostfaces, and not get frustrated to the point that I just want to voice MY OPINION to people who also play the game. Sorry that I don't have a "Rant" section in Discussions to post in. But I'm sure if I was complaining about Spiritpre-nerf, or Blight, or any other of the top tier killer ######### survivors tend to complain about, we'd all be singing songs and holding hands.

I'm not gonna be one other who insults someone's intelligence but tinkerer doesn't let you sneak up on anyone. It lets you know when a gen is almost done. If I head towards it, as say Doc, I can't "sneak up" on people if I tried. I have a terror radius that doesn't just go away with stealth killers. It's a warning to survivors that "Yeah, I'm coming."
So tinkerer is not a bad perk. And survivors hiding? It's about the best thing they can do to avoid chases if that's what they want to do. So it's not food for thought if the food is inherently plastic, just like Tinkerer isn't free hits, it's info. I don't have a problem with info, I have an issue with stealth killers.
You are insulting my intelligence by not even knowing that tinkerer gives you undetectable.
No need to be rude especially when you don't even know how the perk works.

Tinkerer is a fine perk. Use it on a few builds myself. This post is about stealth killers. Not that they're overpowered but that they're frustrating. And that's my opinion. It's why the warning is in there at the top. It's all my feelings that I just wanted to get out to people that at least know what I'm talking about regardless if they agree. I'm not gonna complain to my non gaming fiance about stuff she doesn't understand or care about.
You hate when killer sneaks up to you. That is what I got from your posts and I mentioned tinkerer.
Why are you sneaking up to people for "free" hits then as well?
You are not full fledged stealth killer maybe but you are using stealth as well.
Just a food for thought.
