Considering DCing is listed in game as a bannable offense. They're breaking the intentionally dc/rage quitting rule. Like...???

Where? Where does it say that?

Here is a line of text, no names, no harsh language, we are all nice down here.

Nobody cares if a Fog Whisperer has an attitude lmao, there is like 100 of them now. What is kinda relevant is the "haha fuk u i break rules, me no punishment" kind of mentality, the entitled (elite) mentality.

And what rule is she breaking by disconnecting under the threshold?

  • Why did my post blatantly breaking rules get removed guys? I just don't GET IT.

  • I'm sorry but even without perks Nurse can apply excellent map pressure to slow generators down. If a top tier Nurse repeatedly gets wrecked this bad then we have an issue, but tru3 really is not that good at Nurse. Nurse is basically the equivalent to genrushing in terms of broken strength. Kind of balanced in a dumb way, but also running into a super genrush deathsqaud is just as rare as running into a godly Nurse.

For example, Zubat is doing 20-1 and hasnt depipped a single time to rank 2 and hes not even solely playing Nurse. Obviously there's some player skill variable people are ignoring.

If I am not mistake, Sheltered Woods is the only Map without a Drop (if you do not count the Basement). All other Maps have at least 2 possibilitys to drop.

You can drop off the tree in the middle of the map, but that's about it.

Actually most of the people who said game should be balanced around good player are killer mains.

As far as i know many survivor streamers are derankers, so i would say that doesn't count. And even if it did, it's just one survivor escaping, what about the other 3?

    That's exactly what I'm saying.

If you match 5000 hours against casuals with <500 hours, we all know what's going to happen.

Now let for example Zubat play against JenDenise, Ochido, No0b3 and whatever they're all called and see what happens. That's "high skilled". And if you balance around high skilled, you gotta make sure that they're actually skilled and not just some boosted Rank 1 scrubs like the majority of this community.

If Zubat used omegablink they would lose almost every single time, guaranteed

Sigh okay let's do this yet again.

0:28: bad blink, swung nowhere near the survivor.

0:34: bad blink, but survivor screws up

1:12: eats the decisive instead of slugging

1:40-2:00: wastes time checking absolutely no area of the map, instead blinking back and forth around the hooked guy

2:05: wastes time kicking a generator with less than 5% progress, while the person gets unhooked

    2:25: bad blink

3:22: tries to tunnel the dude off the hook, giving him BT.

3:28: picks up the guy he just tunneled instead of going for the Claudette literally 10 meters away

    4:00: bad blink

    Then the gates get opened.

Looks like again, like he just made several mistakes and didn't pressure the map whatsoever. I don't know why people keep using tru3 as an example here. His Nurse isn't even that amazing. You throw a better Nurse at this scenario and I guarantee they do better. Would they 4k? I don't know, maybe, maybe not. The gens would have lasted way longer though.

I understand getting like Haddonfield or Lery's, or a giant map, but Ironworks is a great map for Nurse too. He could have done better.

He literally never even left like 25% of the map the entire game. He just stayed in one corner and then doesn't understand how the generators not in that corner of the map got finished???

0:28: bad blink, swung nowhere near the survivor.

    • Wow, ONE bad blink. Equivalent like a pallet stun or loop I guess.

0:34: bad blink, but survivor screws up

    • So it doesn't matter. Why you bring this up?

1:12: eats the decisive instead of slugging

    • Slugging to go for who? Searching someone? Slugging without seeing anyone around can isn't always a good decision. Worst case: Survivors hide, DS guy gets picked up and he won nothing.

1:40-2:00: wastes time checking absolutely no area of the map, instead blinking back and forth around the hooked guy

    • what do you mean wasting time checking no area? He checked 3 gens around the hook, he was trying to go for a solid 3 gen strat I assume. And even if he had blinked to a gen further away, didn't you see that another gen popped?  Would have been for nothing.

2:05: wastes time kicking a generator with less than 5% progress, while the person gets unhooked

    • what do you mean? Not kicking and starring at the hooked guy is the better solution? Don't Really get the complain combined with "while unhooked"

    2:25: bad blink

    • Wow, TWO bad blinks. Equivalent to 2 pallet stuns or window loop. Not worth to mention.

3:22: tries to tunnel the dude off the hook, giving him BT.

    • He got downed quick, why you mention this as a mistake? It payed off

3:28: picks up the guy he just tunneled instead of going for the Claudette literally 10 meters away.

    • I agree, but to be fair that claudette could be gone and hard to find against because of BT. WIthout BT it would be easy to slug and chase claudette. Also one gen left. The risk of adrenaline (and he had adrenalin if I remember correctly) would have nullified the slugging anyway.

    4:00: bad blink

    • So 3 bad blinks in total, right? How many pallets do you eat as a normal Kilker? How long does a chase usually take against good loppers? He was still downing them quick. Imagine this match with another killer than Nurse. It would be impossible -> gen speed unbalanced.

    You are really nitpicking.

Yes, the entire point is nitpicking. The argument people are making is basically "This person played perfectly with the best killer in the game and still couldn't stop the gen rush!" when in reality he played nowhere near perfectly and would have held the generators off far longer if he played better. Thus, in this scenario, gen rushing is a symptom of playing bad and ignoring literally 75% of the map.

There are obvious exceptions when there is just nothing you can do. His Doctor game is a good example. Its pretty unlikely anybody would win in that situation, even though he made numerous mistakes.

You don't really have as much of an excuse with Nurse, on a great Nurse map to boot.

Also the only reason the guy with BT was "downed fast" is because he gave up because he was thinking "Oh good I'm being tunneled by a [BAD WORD] Nurse funnnnnn"

Did I claim that this was perfect nurse gameplay? Unless you don't bring up this argument against me you are attacking a straw man.
Furthermore, you know better than me that you have to read the survivor during a chase. You can't guess every movement and every juke perfectly in every single match.
Meanwhile if you go with your logic: The strongest killer in the game has to play absolutely perfectly to stand a chance to win against survivors who are just optimal with gens (aka holding M1) and do stupid mistakes?
So how would it be if the survivors don't do mistakes and you play nurse perfectly? A lose again or not. And keep in mind that any other killer is weaker than Nurse.
He doesn't have to play perfectly, but he also shouldn't compain all the gens get done when he literally never leaves that tiny section of the map.

Gonna copy/paste what i said in the other thread:
Don't forget that the depip squad played when the game was different than it is right now AND most of the killers they faced were bad and/or made several mistakes.
Tru3 DID make important mistakes and was running one of the worst killers you can run without perks and addons in a big map. If game was balanced towards that kind of situation don't you think it would be broken if he was running perks and addons? Besides, i think he got 4K with other weak killers like Freddy. Probably because survivors made mistakes too, and that's fine, because mistakes should be punished.

So are you saying ScottJund is bad? Cause they demolished him.

Mistakes should be punished, but when you have to win entirely on your opponents mistakes, you cannot win if they play perfectly, which isn't very difficult to pull off in this game unless you face a godlike Nurse.

What? They didn't demolish me? I won.

You went 2-2 against a team of Survivors that weren't using any perks, while you were using a sweat build with Huntress on Grim Pantry.

I wouldn't call it getting demolished, that's a little facetious on my part, but you did earn the pip. I'm not sure if you rematched them when they used perks, but the fact they still 2-2'd you with no perks is evident the game is still unbalanced, especially since 2 of them pipped and one safety pipped, given what you were running and they weren't running anything.

I can guarantee if you didn't run any perks or add-ons you likely would have lost. The fact Survivors can do what they did and still come out as balance intends shows that Survivors are way too powerful. Add perks to them, and they become nearly unstoppable.

This is the match if anyone has any interest in seeing it. Marth's performance aside (who admits he was "boosted" this match), this is what SWF is capable of, and how skewed the balance truly is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cssz6aQ9Dq8

Just saying, I was the first one to pip against them and then you say "they demolished me" when I pipped on Huntress with no instathrow, Iridescent, Ruin, on Swamp of all maps. You're just basically lying at that point. Stop that.

I said "that's a little facetious on my part." Or, I guess you missed the statement where I renounced what I said before? You still ran other meta perks on top of meta Add-ons, all to 2-2 a pack of survivors with no perks.

You had BBQ, whispers, and Stridor, and Nurses, on top of running 2 extra hatchets, AND Babushka for faster charge up time.

I might go back to saying they demolished you just cause it drives home the point you still couldn't 4k a pack of no perk survivors, and you had to use a top-level build just to pull that off.

im starting to think you havent even watched the game. I didn't have stridor, I didn't have extra hatchets, and I AFK'd the last 2 minutes of the match to just stop their streak instead of 4king. Are you confusing me with someone else? You seem to have some weird dislike for me

Im going to ignore the first part about the mistakes, cuz I don't agree with everything but focus on your last bit.
    That's the issue of DbD:
Survivors with no perks and no addons can stomp the sweaty killers with their best addons and best perks. Reference: perkless+addonless depip squad of Marth88.

That's the issue. And that needs to change.

Who cares? They weren't playing the game for fun. 99% of people play video games for fun. Their experiment doesn't really even mean anything other than if you hate fun you can win more. I can use 300 Iridescent Heads in a row and probably lose like 2 games total but that's incredibly boring and means nothing.

  • At 1:01 he looks at and hears the generator at what sounds like 80-90% completion and chooses to ignore it. Chasing the person off the generator would have resulted in it being saved while causing the Laurie to heal, wasting time, while initiating a new chase, keeping two people off generators.

He then proceeds to play shack incorrectly, granting Laurie two additional loops while trying to shock.

At 1:24 he again ignores people working on an almost-completed generator to continue chasing Laurie.

Then he blindly picks up a survivor at a pallet without so much as turning around.

Yeah he made a lot of mistakes. Genrushing is mostly you not pressuring the map, which is what happened.

That being said, if you play a low-tier killer with no addons or perks on a big map and survivors spawn each on separate generators, no ######### the game is going to go fast, even if you play perfectly.

Yup, because one setup match should determine the fate of a patch. Reasonable.

What does that have to do with the patch? I'm just trying to find out a way to counter Legion and he seems to know how.

Not just me, literally all high ranking Survivors.
But you keep acting like I'm the only one who knows these things.

If you don't know by now, then maybe you should stop whining about him and try to understand him.

I'm not getting into a match with you because it's one match, and especially if it's one on one there's no chance.

BECAUSE that doesn't simulate a real match at high rank. When you have multiple high rank survivors in red rank that know what they're doing, Legion gets destroyed. They've already learned to split in groups of two's and the other stuff I've listed.

Also, just because he downs you doesn't mean it's the end of the match, you have to get hooked 2 maybe 3 times. That's not to include items you bring in such as insta heals.

    Take a chill pill dude.

You are really, really missing the point. When you, individually, get chased by Legion, there is nothing you, individually, can do. Its a very bad feeling and does not belong in a multiplayer game. Saying "just split up and do gens" isn't a counter to Legion, its a counter to everything in the game.

We have another good killer. I'm tired of having Survivors uproar over every little thing. If you ask me, they're the ones that pushed this type of gameplay. When you started looping way back when there had to be counters to it. Now we've gone to the next logical step and made a giant F-U to pallets. We have another good killer. I'm tired of having Survivors uproar over every little thing. If you ask me, they're the ones that pushed this type of gameplay. When you started looping way back when there had to be counters to it. Now we've gone to the next logical step and made a giant F-U to pallets. And because you can't loop him to death or actually have to use a bit more thinking to evade him, now it's "not fun".....

You've never played a single game against Legion in your life, have you?

  • @Dwight_Confusion said:
We have another very strong killer. Deal with it.

Being stealthy around Legion is incredibly important. The changes to him are amazing. They simply need to leave him be.

He's strong, as a killer should be. They did buff Self Care, but no one cares about that lol

People were starting to not heal at times against him. Now you need to. Maybe they could make it 1 second in between stabs? So it can't be spammed?

I think he's top tier and strong. As he should be. PLaying against him is intense and tough. ADapt.

Playing against him isn't intense or tough. You might as well just stand still if he ferals you with Frank's - its the same amount of input you can do to counter him.

  • No, almost nobody likes the proposed changes.

So what's the issue? In one part of your post, you say "The low rank players are clearly on alt accounts most of the time, as they know where every loop is and whatnot." Then you go on to say "but I shouldn't be forced to play against a stealth rank 2 squad."

So is it the people who know the loops, or the people who play stealthy?

Rank still doesn't mean anything, because there is no skill based matchmaking. A potato can be Rank 1, and a veteran player can sit at Rank 10. You can have 4000 hours and sit at Rank 10, or have 30 hours and be R1.

One of the many reasons you shouldn't take this game so serious. Sometimes you lose games, I know it's a tough pill to swallow.

    SWFer Alert.

The problem is SWF SCUM use the current system to bully low rank killers, and get easier games, because they are too chicken ######### to play at there own rank.

Yikes. I almost have 5k hours in this game. A solid 3k hours of it has been solo survivor. You don't know anything about me. I play against SWF gamers all the time, I really don't care about them.

You really think rank makes any difference? How precious.

Said like a typical SWF Scumbag, that wants to bully.

If Rank isn't important, then why would this change matter?

I do love the whiny killer mentality that everybody with friends is a scumbag.
  • I watch NA times so there's probably some people from the other side of the planet I don't watch and miss, but Zubat is by far the best killer and almost the best survivor I've seen. Marth doesn't play anymore I don't think. Fungoose is excellent for educational purposes.

  • Idk why you think reloading 2 seconds faster would solve any genrush relates issues.
  • Kaelum said:
This thread has gotten way beyond ridiculous. Those who are for this, please tell me how this is any different than a pig moonwalk chasing a survivor with a trap on their head?  This gameplay has been in the game for a year, and I don’t see anyone complaining about it.
Its no different, except a trap going off takes several minutes during which the survivor has many opportunities to make the Pig mess up and initiate chase again, all while giving survivors time to do easily 3, maybe 4 generators.

Only takes a few seconds with Legion. Theres no counterplay to either, but you essentially throw the game doing it as Pig. That being said, the survivor in both scenarios are having an equally stupid time not really even getting a chance to play.

I will say that if you're using their power to repeatedly hit the same survivor, you're using it wrong. It's designed to injure multiple survivors at once, not to get kills. Hitting the same survivor repeatedly with it is just shooting yourself in the foot.

Whether or not it needs buffs I won't argue, though.

So after that we're supposed to chase someone down for the second hit with an M1 attack as a Huntress with no hatchets? That's the intent?

Yes that's actually what they intend.

Its stupid, but that's what they designed him like.

  • @Loinburgers said:
Not sure if you guys follow the streamer Tru3ta1ent, but he is always quickly at rank 1 as both killer and survivor etc etc and he was able to get 4 kills for 18 matches in a row with Legion. I am pretty sure he almost always had Frank's mix tape etc, but he didn't seem to have much trouble getting kills sometimes before any generators were done. Now I'm not saying Legion doesn't need work, because I think he def does, but I don't fully buy that he is complete crap.

I mean I have had 4 kill matches with Legion with only brown addons and not moonwalking, though I was rank 10 when I did. Perhaps they just fit my playstyle shrug

I got 32 Speed Limiter Leatherface 4ks in a row, and Frank's Mixtape Legion is sure as hell stronger than that. So what's that mean? Speed Limiter Leatherface is now suddenly not completely crap? People doing well != good killer.

The fact that survivors should adapt and change playstyle depending on the killer they're up against, the same here for killers

You gotta know what can this killer do and where's the weaknesses and go from there

You can't use him exactly as any other killer

If you think this killer is not good for you, simply change killer that you might be good/ skilled with (not everyone can use Nurse or Huntress properly)

This killer is really ANNOYING and people want him to have 115% movement speed ? Oh pls .. ez 4k every game ?

Look at spirit where people asked for buff and now she's even better than hillbilly with just 110% .. going against decent spirit is really boring now

Also same for Freddy and Wraith .. they're not weak

Buffs the community asked for from the beginning.

You say Freddy is strong in the right hands. I assume you played him to rank 1, yes?

Not the same guy but I have, multiple times. Last season after rank reset I got to rank 1 playing exclusively Freddy, without perks or add-ons. If you think Freddy is bad then you are just too incompetent to play him correctly.

I was asking the other guy, don´t know why you feel offended and start to insult.

Oh btw, i DID reach rank 1 with him, playing him perkless.

Why do people brag about rank? I hear countless people saying it doesn't matter but I also hear people say it does matter. Which one is it?

Rank 20 players say killer is op.
Do I need to say more?

I mean yeah sure, rank 20 is where the newer players are at. However, what makes rank 1 special?

Reaching a certain rank on both sides, usually gives players a better perspective.
If someone only plays one side, and rarely plays the other side, especially on rank 20. That person might have a distorted view of the games balance.

But a braindead monkey can get to rank 1 in this game, so what does that matter?

I'm sorry but have you ever played Survivor against Frank's mixtape? It is literally the most non-interactive boring ######### in this entire game. You get hit by an unavoidable frenzy hit, they wait 12 seconds for cooldown, then hit you again with an unavoidable frenzy hit and you go down.

You have to be crazy to think that has to be baseline.

I forgot you can't bait pallets or stun them. Rip my idea. I guess only Nurse or Billy is allowed to do it.

Okay so you wait at a pallet. He runs near it, then runs back. You waste the pallet, he vaults it, and you die.

You wait at a pallet. He just lunges through it and you die.

You wait a pallet. You drop it, he swings through, and with new pallets he downs you anyway and gets stunned.

You wait at a pallet. You drop it and actually stun him.

You win 25% of these scenarios.

This is assuming you even have a pallet in 12 seconds.

New pallets? You mean the ones that no longer teleport you or grant invincibility? They still stun fine for me if you time it right. Yes, he has little counterplay in a chase, but ONLY in a chase. A chase that still takes just about half a minute to complete. Outside of that, he has almost nothing BUT counterplay.

Besides, when we consider changing things to ensure survivors have fun, we get Freddy, and Trapper and Leatherface and Clown. Huntress, Hillbilly and Hag have counterplay, yet they are among the strongest killers in the game. How could that be? Because they didn't wrap the survivors in bubble wrap with reflective tape before sending them out against that killer.

My point is it does not take half a minute to complete with Frank's Mixtape, which people are saying should be default. It takes literally one recharge of your power which is like 10-15 seconds.

Again none of this counters my point about the extreme lack of fun. You even said it yourself, no real counterplay in a chase, which is the only part the involves the other survivors. So you're saying every single time a survivor is in a chase, he pretty much has no options, which is awful game design.

God forbid the fact every other killer can down you in two hits so why should'nt legion be able too as well right?

I must have missed the part where other killers can vault windows and pallets as fast as survivors.

Survivor mains call anyone asking for true balance "biased", because they want to keep their edge.

Some survivors believe looping and genrushing every single game is how it was meant to be.

Looping is basically an exploit and gen rush is bad gamedesign (miscalculations on how long a chase takes, compare to how long a gen takes to get done).

I will never understand how people non-ironically say walking around objects is an exploit.

Since when is 1 survivor should be as strong as the killer?
You playing the wrong game if you think that you should be able to constantly loop and waste the killer's time for 5 gens and then run out the gate.

I think if a survivor is vastly, vastly better than a killer he should be able to loop him for 5 generators. If you think otherwise you think skill shouldn't be a component of this game, which is silly. No killer should ever be able to guarantee someone will go down in under a minute regardless of anyone's skill - that's terrible design.
