I mean I would rather run shadow borne only over using another perk ever if I had to make the choice.

Lmao another nurse thread complaining and not giving any constructive criticism.
If you want to know how she can be changed, do a research…
Her counter play is w and LoS. That's just as boring as going against artist except her power can insta down with perks. Nurse also doesn't even like blight's feet in terms of skill cap so that's not an argument.
-
Oh man you know what would have been really cool? If his power wasn't his whip and he evolved through the match in stead.

3 kills is a win, and the survivor team lost. I don't view it as individually winning or losing just because one got out probably through hatch.

Wish I could say the same, but honestly the OW meta is almost equally as boring as the one we currently have in DBD
I got to masters playing doom pre buff. Now that he is good I am enjoying him more. Kinda funny how sojourn managed to get buffed though.
-
Sorry I've been busy and playing OW.
-
Nah. Take tunneling and camping but end game slug fest vs a good team that is essentially "everyone gets out or no one does" is peak dbd. Nothing even comes close to this level of fun in this game. The scenario doesn't line up often but when it does the experience can't be beat. I have never had a single survivor complain about it in post game either.

It's why I haven't bought the last few DLCs. They probably have data to show that new killers are the primary draw for DLC sales, hence why latest survivor perks are either lacklustre, situational, or require a higher skill window to get maximum use of. Plus too many get nerfed. I still play with the same small handful of perks (none are meta afaik) as I have since I started playing 2 years ago, the newest one I added to that rotation was Jonah's Overcome. But all that really does now is take the hit distance to what the normal hit distance used to be pre-mid year update.
I'll add that I'm a solo player, so swf perk coordination isn't a thing for me.
Woah woah woah. The speed burst from getting hit has been minimally affected. I think you lost a meter in terms of distance, overcome is under rated especially with lucky break. It's no dh but I would say its better than lithe.
-
It's really your definition. In terms of skill survivor has a higher skill ceiling than killers. Blight in combination with everything killer related has a higher skill ceiling, since his kit in this game has no ceiling. In terms of stress and effort, killer takes the cake. In terms of getting a win in solo vs killer environment survivor by far. So many things go into it though, if you are playing bubba with 0-1 gen regression perks, survivors probably shouldn't be losing unless someone on the team is hard waying everyone else down.

The issue is that I am consistently spawning right next to the killer while my teammates are across the map due to my MMR.
Either get rid of MMR, or nerf the perk. You guys fail to realize your experience, is not my experience.
The issue is that I am consistently spawning right next to the killer while my teammates are across the map due to my MMR.
That has nothing to do with your mmr though. And no matter what if you expect lethal, you will always ALWAYS make safety. If you think other wise I have no idea what to tell you.

Enlighten me then. Please, explain to all of us how Blight a killer who gets to go in any direction he likes is more difficult to Billy.
As I said before, billy's curves make him the most mechanical killer in the game. But all he needs to know about collision is, the few things that have much large collision than the actual model to avoid and things like rad car that have no collision but is very rare.
No one says blights flicks are hard, they really aren't. The hardest thing you will see is an s-flick imo. But let's think about the immense amount of things that you should learn on blight to be good and literally every blight player is still learning and getting better, it doesn't matter who it is. Also the fact that any of his add-ons exist do not make the killer have a lower skill cap. Also how does billy needing to go for flicks make so much harder than blight, what does that have to do with anything? Nothing in this game could be worse for learning a killer than c7 btw, It's gotta be the worst add-on in the game.
Blight needs to know-
- 90's 180's and s-flicks and shoulder flicks
- He has to know the collision of literally everything in the game, this short sentence is really down playing the incredible amount of collision to learn in this game for blight
- Understanding both types of collision blight has
- How to use collision to his advantage, such as most shacks having almost no collision or even plutoing intentionally as a bait. Using a lack of collision vs unknowing survivors
- How to zone a survivor while in power
- How to fake red stain in slam duration
- That capable survivors will pluto him in the right situation
- Hug techs and the many many things you can do with them
- How to run tiles in a completely unique way as the blight
- How to read survivors at tiles such as primitively moving where they are going to go as they start or when they will hold w
- Understanding and utilizing slam duration
- Understanding and utilizing how long each rush goes for
- How to bait out dh with your power
- Deciding asap what you have at your disposal around a tile for bump logic
- How to counter wiggles and spins during lethal rush
How does billy compare to that? Just because he isn't good doesn't mean he's harder.

There's a HUGE skill difference between Blight and Billy. Billy is not versatile in the way Blight is, allowing you to flick turn whenever you please does not take skill. With Billy you've to pre-flick/curve and rev 10 feet away from a survivor while taking into account there might be a pallet there before you even see it. That's JUST the flicking, I could go on about the unholy addons Blight has at his disposal including a Brown addon which allows you to fricken auto-aim when you bonk your head of something. There's a LOT of training wheels with Blight before it becomes a challenge for the higher end that want speed/turning.
YOU DID NOT JUST BRING UP C7 LMAO. You have lost all credibility. Why take part in a conversation you know nothing about?

Not to split hairs, but the average player in anything is going to be average.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3293854#Comment_3293854
It's very tricky. 4 years ago? Maybe. But I think DbD is now a bit 'middle aged' to be heavily focused on balance for new players.
It's already a lot more newbie friendly than it was even a year ago.
I hope I didn't already respond. To be perfectly blunt the players in this game suck. As I said an amazing survivor on my high mmr blight pov is months apart. People don't go out of their way to try and improve for the most part in the game and even if they do they are simply not good at it any way. I can under stand if you play casually, but don't complain about something like you understand what you are talking about(not directing this at you). I play in between, I am trying to win but not tunneling or running full meta, just simply trying to maintain my blights skill level at this point in time. Or you can be the full try hard, running the best builds possible and doing things like: tunnling, camping, pre-throwing and getting downed in a comp corner. The thing is, it's is so so so so so so so so so so so so rare to see a real amazing player especially running full meta. As I have said elsewhere, even the the comp players I have gone against are really not good at chase. The best players I have gone against have always been in random pubs. Comps over rated most teams I go against have 2 "good" not "amazing" chasers which typically revolve around pre-throwing(skilless) and w(nearly skilless). I have never played another online pvp game with such terrible players ever, going against people with the absolute full meta and on garden of pain as blight with no gen regression and none of his busted add-ons who are acutually trying to win and still lose to me genuinely makes me sad. Although after I started playing at my current time's it seems sbmm works way better, but even then no one amazing.

Eh, I got yelled at for saying that I didn't think incentivizing going for fresh hooks would work. I figured we could at least give it a shot, even if only to prove myself right lol
As preface to what I am about to say, of the three sins of killer slugging should most definitely not be removed. Personally I have never had more fun than an end game slug vs a good swf. Irrelevant to say but I felt like it.
While I do think tunneling and camping can give good killers more than just one option at a time, which is where I feel a few killers come from when they talk about this, It's really not skillful and should be removed. The thing is I do not trust bhvr to somehow remove tunneling and camping but also give killers either a flat buff or an advantage without breaking the game. A hard meta blight or nurse will get 3 manned out vs a equally skilled swf without the ability to tunnel. And you can't just say high level doesn't matter because in reality if all the streamers will start hating the game even if they continue to stream it for the revenue, more and more players will stop playing. This is the one thing I have no idea how they could change to not break the game, everything else is simple with maybe a few errors in numbers on my part.

Blight is extremely punished? By what? 2.5 second fatigue or only 10 or 7 seconds to recharge his whole power?
Please what kind of punishment is that for a 4.6 killer.
If we don't count his exploit that he currently still has for some reason, where is the endless skill ceiling compared to billy? 😂
How is it fun for a survivor to play against blight when he literally has the most busted addons in the entire game.
- Adrenaline Vial <- No matter how good you dodge the blight he has 7 goddamn tokens or if you throw a pallet his tokens recharge extremely fast. Do you call this extreme punishment?
- Blighted tag <- Survivor has a counter play of going into locker, however with Blights low cooldown they'll end up with hit anyway? Once again lose to lose situation for the survivor.
- C33 <- Press M2 to break pallet in 1.5 seconds and get 3% hindered status. How is any of this still fun? And ofcourse power recharges while you destroy pallet.
- Alchemist ring <- so the blight hits you and gets ALL of his tokens back and goes into small cooldown and he can rush again, this one is always paired with crow, how is that balanced?
- Blighted Crow and Rat, makes Blight one of the fastest killers in the game, once again you get NO punishment for using it and it's the best combo to use in loops.
- Lets be real, Blight has never been the harder killer than Billy nor more enjoyable than Billy in any of his past states that he has been.
- It is not hard to flick a survivor, it is not hard to use bump logic properly.
- So lets look at Billy he has to charge his chainsaw with his best addon for 2.8 seconds, in those 2.8 seconds you are slower than survivor which gives plenty of time for survivor to counter billy by going inside a tile or trying to dodge it.
- I don't even want to start what Billy has to deal with in his current state compared to Blight and I don't know why am I explaining all of this to a person that loves to abuse bugs for advantage very comparable to cheating.
- And no, not any person can hop on Billy or Blight and be good, even blight with his most busted addons. But most certainly they can do much better because 1. He has a better power with less punishment, 2. has better addons and low punishment for missing his rush.
Read my post near the beginning of the thread. Hilbilly is bad but few survivors have even cracked the surface on counter play to blight. And in total the combined total of mechanics and the largest needed knowledge in the game makes blight the most skilled thing in this game by far, do you really think the mechanical skill needed for curves is even close to that? Billy's kit is simply not complex enough, if you think other wise you are beyond biased. Again read my post near the beginning.
-
It's ok from my pov as a blight player, but blight can bait out dh better than any other killer in the game by far. Although it's still top of s. It's like if people think dh is ok don't complain about Pain res or eruption.

- Give survivors information through UI icons and base kit Kindred (except killer aura)
- Adress killer-specific problems (zombies AI, hitboxes, number of carried traps, etc) and buff them individually (as opposed to making general QoL buffs that affects all killers while ignoring their own struggles). This comes after the survivor info harmonization so that there's only one wave of evaluating killers' strength to do instead of two waves before/after survivor info buff, which would take more time.
- Rework unused perks, rather than nerf most used ones.
- (Bring back Sky Billy)
I'd be happy to have 6 months or more without a new chapter if those things were adressed first.
Wish I could change my username. HugTechTheHag would be hilarious.

1) Rebalance maps and add a loop weight system.
2) Rework MMR completely.
3) Add incentives to fresh hooking.
You know I thank McClean for making the best designed thing in the entirety of this game, but when he laughed at scott junds fake patch loop money system I lost respect. But then again he chuckled over more than half of that video without explaining his thoughts.
To be honest, tunneling and camping need to be fixed at the root. This incentive thing killer's spout won't actually work. People will always go to the most efficient way to win and I can't see tunneling being stopped without extensive balance changes to replace the lack of pressure from tunneling in a even environment in which both sides are even and semi competent at least for this games standards.

Hey guys, I just want to know your opinion on one quite subtle thing...
In many matches I play as killer I easily can see someone using DH, the animation is visible so I know when to strike, just wait for it to end. Sometimes, on the other hand, it just don't work that way, the survs have DH when the animation didn't even started and just run away to the other tile with deep wound.
"Ok, so maybe they just do it perfectly timed" I thought.
Gone to soloQ as surv as usual, took DH. My observation is - if animation isn't fully started, the DH won't work. See it was used (exhaust), but didn't protect me from the hit, get hooked.
My question is - is this game this bugged with connection issues or other things (like totally bugged dh), or there are so many subtle cheaters with autodh? It wasn't one time, in like 10 matches got at least 3 people who used DH that way, and I don't play killers too often.
I was seeing a ton of auto dh's relatively before the cheater patch. After that, I have not seen a single survivor not dh when baited by me as blight, which is the best dh baited in the game period. And I am most definitely high mmr and it usually works for me 90% of the time because of when I play. So you are probably not experiencing auto dh.

Maybe it's just a mindset thing, but me and my friends DON'T bring the best. And I know that isn't representative of the community as a whole, but in general, I see a wide variety of non sweaty perks in use when I play both as survivor AND killer. When I say non-sweaty, I mean I run We'll Make, Any Means Necessary, Diversion, and Saboteur as my MAIN build. My back up build is Sabo, We'll Make It, For the People, WGLF.
But when I play killer and I main Huntress, I play BBQ, Iron Maiden, Darkness Revealed, and Lethal. And I do fine. Some games end in 2ks, the majority of them end with 3. You don't HAVE to play the most meta perks at all times is my point and while yes, those perks all work well for Huntress specifically, there's no gen regression in my build. My gameplay is reliant solely upon my skill in chase and my ability to find people quickly and get those hits. If I lose, I know it's because of my lack of skill and if I win, I know it's because I played well. Not because some perks carried me and stopped people from getting their objectives done FOR me
This is an average game for me. I always play Blight, but alch ring and gen regression in general are usually not in my build. The requirement is for the survivors is to have 3+ med-kits. I play like 4 games a week at this point and this is what I have to deal with. To be honest with you I wish there was a game mode where it was perkless and has no add-ons/items allowed except I couldn't play it unless an FoV slider was added.
-
YES. It's so baffling to me how the average player in this game is terrible and someone is considered good by dbd standards really isn't that good. An amazing survivor is so rare, I would love to go against them more. But even comp players who should be the best chasers in the game will have maybe 2 good chasers in my experience. But even then it's not because they are actually that good at chasing they just pre throw and w as much as they can even if it's shelter woods.
Are there definitely things that should be changed or nerfed for both sides? Yes, but it no online pvp game ever do you cater too much to bad players. Would it be healthy if they phase out tunneling and camping while also making it possible to win vs sweat squads without it? Yes. Will that happen? Doubt.

Why can't people deal with the fact that people leave games that aren't fun when they are supposed to be.
Not everyone is playing this 24/7 as a sweatlord, a lot of people just want to have fun and if they're on survivor getting tunnel facecamped in a deadzone or getting bullied by a SWF as a killer then they will use that DC button that the devs put there for you when you press escape.
Also I see just as many killers DC'ing in my matches and in YT/Twitch, but the topic is ALWAYS thrown at survivors.
Survivor's dc more often even considering the ratio. Because any other online pvp game would ban half the serial dcers for ruining so many games. In something like cod it's fine if someone leaves, one less body can even be a better chance to win. In dbd, lol and OW the game is auto over. People should be banned for dcing more than 4 times a week.
-
Everyone loves billy players. But I disagree he has too much counterplay, too many loops he can't play the game at. Blight without his top add-ons is the most skillful killer for both sides by far, there is many many different things a survivor player can do to deal with a blight. On the other hand billy is only b tier because the survivors have so much power over his ability especially depending on the map. When someone abuses collision vs Billy there is really nothing he can do, when someone abuses collision vs blight it's actually skillful and something I see so rarely it's impressive. 95% of survivors have barely scratched the surface on how to play vs blight or even what he does because he has that much depth, compare that to Billy who is only hard because of how mechanically challenging his curves are and is pretty easy to deal with. Pretty much anything Billy can do Blight can do better, anything bad for Billy isn't as bad for blight. But Blight has many more counter play options that are harder to pull off. You know how many times I have been intentionally pluto'd as blight? Maybe 5 times, when there are countless pluto spots and shack everyone should know. It's just survivor's don't care to learn blight and all is mastery in order to deal with him.
Billy is great and by far the most mechanically hard killer in the game but his kit is outdated and abusable.

If they start paying their players, then they could "punish" players for not contributing, but they don't - and their not gonna, that would be dumb.
It's a video game, and this whole "Everyone needs to play my way so MY fun criteria is met!" logic is childish. It's a video game, and not even a competitive one, people are going to go into a match under the expectation they are going to have fun, and when they don't - you can't force them to continue playing. They've added DC penalties, and then players found other ways to quit the game - be it suiciding on hook, sabotaging the game, or simply going AFK. Hell some just take the DC penalty, 5-15 minutes isn't that big of a deal with they can just do something else for that time.
You can't force players to play a game they don't want to play, and if players are not enjoying the game - the game needs to improve, forcing players to play instead will just make the community more toxic, and both will push players away.
They are coming out with bots. I wouldn't be surprised if when bots come in the game DC penalties are removed. It would be even better that they set it up so when someone dc's from the game the players in the game don't get any kind of notification. They won't even know they are facing a bot other then the characters playstyle suddenly changes.
- I don't think you read my post in it's entirety
- I am not asking you to play my way, I am asking you to play the game. If you actually read my post and you don't agree you have never played another online pvp game. Or you just want the freedom to dc whenever you don't think you are going to win.

So… HugTechLover… you evidently didn’t read what I said and I’m not spoon feeding it to you.
And some of you may not want to elevate it to that level because you’re uncomfortable with it, but the way you behave IS a moral issue. If you cheat, that’s a moral decision. If you decide to take advantage of an unfair situation to your benefit, yeah… you’re making that moral decision.
Not only did you not respond to my initial post, but you calling out people on moral issues in a video game is so dumb. Again was a 4 man swf running IW DH a moral issue pre patch? Should you condemn the 10s of thousands of players for that? You are so biased and unaware of the game and almost 0 logic goes into your Reponses and posts :). You just say what you want, which is usually half non-sense and then don't respond to anything after that and even if you do it's not a direct response with any real argument behind it. At this point I assume you are sluzzy just baiting people without thinking just as before. I doubt you are even good at survivor, probably mid at best like the other 90% of the survivor player base, talking like you know anything. You have probably never played blight and if you have you have idea how to play him or the counter play related to him. Some characters have so much depth you can't just learn them from playing against them, this is a common thing in video games. Blight is not like nurse who's power is so straight forward you never have to play her, blight requires you to learn him.
Is blight strong? Yes, he counters the strongest most brain dead thing in the game shift w. Is there nothing you can do about him? No. C33 is the only add-on that leaves no options, iri tag has lots of counter play but is super strong and alch-ring is strong but depending on the map I would not call it op, it ranges from op to strong depending on that. Blight players who are amazing at survivor probably run all but the few amazing blights for a long time.
Like what did you derive from HugTechLovers first 2 posts to say this? I have no idea how you could possibly say this to him with the only knowledge you have about him is that he plays blight. You are actually delusional for thinking there is anything morally wrong for someone trying their hardest in a video game. I take it that it's morally wrong to run a meta build and a green med-kit with the best add-ons right? Or does it only apply to killers?

As in - you really just need a fun game, whether that means an easy win or just a killer you like mechanically.
For me:
Hag. Whenever I get tired of her, I give it a few days and I'm back on her. She was my first proper main and, by playing her as a non camping 'roaming' Hag, I have a ton of fun. Plus, she's one of a few killers that can actually scare people.
Dredge. Just...love this thing. The only thing I don't like is the silly visual design. Mobility, stealth, a fun anti-loop, great addons - all without being OP or overplayed.
Artist. Another killer that I loved from word one, and still do. Nearly infinite skillcap. If her addons were a bit less boring, she'd probably be my main.
Honorable mentions to Ghostface (tons of fun, just super janky at times when you get revealed by a passing breeze) and Wesker (just...overplayed).
I probably shouldn't even post on this. I play blight that's it, any other killer would be a discomfort to play at this point with all the lack of skill expression and holding w.

Yeah I play at 12AM-4AM on NA. I have been preaching that people who want better players/teams to play at this time. It's always 100% killer incentive and at the very least it's 2 2-man swfs. 3-4 man swfs is often for me but I also have a 75-80% kill rate so my mmr is most definitely high. If I am getting a 4-man 1 in 10 games then 4 mans don't play the game.
-
It's not a reaction perk it's a prediction perk. Force them to m1 at a pallet or it does nothing.

@indieeden7 said:
I'm kind of in agreement with this Blight, I'd say his main 2 balance issues are certain add-ons, and his Lethal Rush attack hitbox, it's ######### massive when it really doesn't need to be.
You know blight only has that huge hitbox for the first 1/10 of a second after he m1s in a lethal rush right? Hits would be very inconsistent if he couldn't shoulder flick you at point blank. It's why forcing him to flick for a hit is so important because it becomes so dodgable after that initial hit box. It's also why hug techs are over rated, most of them are blind flicks betting on a survivor to run the tile normally in relation to the blights starting position. I know you didn't say anything about the hug tech but It was related.
-
So here's the thing.
- you are taking this is a bit too seriously
- Were all survivor's morally wrong for running Iron will, DH and CoH at their peak not even a year ago?
- Blight has the most skill expression for both sides in chase except for a few add-ons which take away quite a bit of counter play, probably what the streamer was talking about. Although maps can give and take skill expression from both sides just like with any killer.
- How often will matchmaking actually put him with 4 people that know how to play vs blight well running the same level of power build as him? Blight has way more counter play than 90% of the survivor play base even realizes, 70% of survivors will play against him like a normal killer at loops and the other 20% only knows a few things. Even you as the person making this post probably aren't good against blight in all odds. I am nearing a year maining blight and the amount of survivors who I thought were amazing vs me in chase are few, the one that comes to mind most is a Zarina on suffo pit who absolutely destroyed me.
- Blight is the only killer with so many minuscule things that can affect chase you actually have to put outside effort in to learning the killer yourself whether that be from watching a blight player play, playing him yourself or even watching a large guide just so you know some of the stuff he is capable of. There is just too much to learn in blight to expect to be able to learn how to play vs him well on your own.

While this is true and I agree, you can't force players to play. Doesn't have to mean to DC - players can just not play in other ways: AFK, throw pallets, jump in and out of lockers, etc.
And this is a problem that should be looked at by the devs, imagine if reporting for sabotage got people banned. If you directly dc suspensions should rack up into a ban real quick. suiciding on hook should be removed unless you have deli and if you get reported often you get banned. EVERY OTHER GAME WITH A PLAYER BASE DOES THIS. I see all of these arguments like "the game will die if people can't get out when they want to" and "You can't force people to stay in the game". The first one is just flat out wrong and the second one is correct but they should not be allowed to queue up again as a repeat offender. People who disagree with me have never played another online pvp game and have 0 idea what they are talking about. I have a lot of opinions on balance but this is simple, easy to fix and not subjective. I want real games and when I log on to play for the first time in a week and the person running full meta with a purple med-kit and anti hem dc on first down without even knowing what I have (even though I am running only shadowborne bbq and no add-ons as blight) I turn off the game right after I am done essentially doing work because I am having 0 fun now and neither are any of the survivors left.
It's fine for something like cod or battlefield to not have penalties because in the game you can hard carry the team to victory, sometimes having one less body to feed is a good thing. But in dbd, league or ow where not having another person is always worse, it's unacceptable. It's really telling of the players on this forum with how many people defend it.

You know, I mained hag when I first started playing and realistically if you want to win you set up a web around a 3-4 gen. But when other killers can play like this you know it's a problem. It's probably why I never get hate in my games even though I play blight I literally have not kicked a gen coming up on a year now.

You can't force players to play a game they are not enjoying.
This argument is so dumb. They don't have to play, but when you queue up you are commiting to the game and deserve to be punished for leaving.

I use to love blight but I just got more and more frustrated with his collision and each new map only made it worse.
It's almost impossible to play another killer at this point, watching my friend play trickster and hold w after someone holding w for 30 seconds is so so boring. Blight literally fix's the skilless, boring parts of the game. Plus for me understanding more and more collision is kinda fun. Although maps like swamp and garden are annoying in that aspect.
-
I mean this game is blight for me, I only play a like 20 games a month at this point and my last blight game will be my last dbd game.

- Get more BP
- Not putting self into high MMR that you're not supposed to be
- Everyone have fun
There is 1 thing you have to understand, losing to a good team doesnt mean the game is on survivors' side, its your skill is not matched to that team.
Im pretty sure 4x me will not able to win over you as killer. You can tunnel me out the game with 4-5 Gens still up, and easily 4K later. But then you vs 4x Ayrun and you're struggle to secure a kill. Do you think your skill as killer matched to such a team?
Your "reward" for trying 4K every match is to play against out skilled survivor team, or equal try hard as you. Remember the kill rate you should get is 12 survivors per 5 matches, not 20 survivors
Funny part, you kill 4 me and 1 Ayrun in two match, the kill rate is 62%
Hope you get the concept.
I understand what you are saying well and I do agree. But you have to factor in builds. There is a large difference between me running 3 aura reading perks and 3 slowdowns on top of add-ons for blight. There is a little less difference for an individual survivor to run full meta but when an entire squad does their skill becomes less noticeable. I very very rarely run into more than 2 people even on comp teams that I think are actually great in chase. It's either a symptom of people thinking it's a causal game and trying to win (counter intuitive) or the fact that people don't try to improve their skill near as much as in other games. This is for both sides but I have been playing killer more again due to my survivor duo flipping schedules.
In my 11 months of maining blight I think I have probably run into 5 amazing survivors vs him. And don't hit me with the "but it's blight because I am not running op add-ons much and blight without them is the most skill expressive killer in the game for both sides BY FAR. I said this in a recent post but most players aren't good, good players are 5% and amazing players are 1% or less(only game I have played with a ratio this terrible), builds can take away whether you actually played well or not depending on the other side. If I am running iri-tag/green-speed with 2 slow down vs 4 med-kits and meta, that is a fair match if both sides are evenly skilled. If I am running yellow-speed and compound-21 with an aura reading build vs the same survivors I will lose unless they get cocky. There's just too much disparity in power level even for high skill killers players top killers and high skill survivor depending on either side's build. My build is based on survivor items at this point.

It's wrong, because most people who do tunnel only arrived at the conclusion that they need to play like that because playing for random chases just wasn't working... like ever.
The problem is that with SBMM, the usage of low effort, high reward strategies like tunnelling and camping also creates this exact problem. If you're getting a lot of kills that you couldn't have gotten if you 12-hooked, then you're going to end up playing above your skill bracket. And when you're above your skill bracket, you can't 12-hook anymore.
"So buff the killer!"
But if you don't nerf camping and tunnelling, all you do is lift this lopsided construction a little higher on the ladder while retaining the same exact problem. The people who crutch on camping and tunnelling will continue to be placed above their skill bracket and complain that they can't win without their crutch.
It'd be the same if a survivor were to be against BNP nerfs (Or preferably, removal) because 'at my skill rank, you can't win without BNPs!'.
Genuinely if you are going against a wraith or another m1 killer who is camping/tunneling regardless of build, someone on the survivor side messed up or just isn't playing correctly. Generally while I think daniel is pretty killer sided, he is usually talking with low tier killers in mind. Like I get it, in solo queue you get bad teammates. But if you get a team who has any idea what they are doing regardless of being solo or not mid-lower tier killers will never win. It doesn't matter whether they have full gen kick build or whatever else, it shouldn't be allowed.
But majority of players in this game are not good and a large portion of games with solo queue have people not trying hard. If you claim people don't have to try to win then your point is irrelevant.
To reiterate 95% of survivor players are not good and the last 1% are actual juicers. This is the only pvp game I have ever seen where the players who are even decent for this game's standard are trash in any other online pvp game.
In league or OW or whatever, people in silver who are 0 and 7 and being completely negative in voice chat will still try to win, this is the only game that's not like that.
Lastly it is the devs job to fix something like tunneling and camping without gutting most killers vs teams that are actually efficient. Players always find the most efficient way to win in every multiplayer pvp game and the players always use them if they want to win. DH and IW being ran together every single game ever before 6.1.0. is a prime example of this.

Can we just revert back to DBD 2018
Everyone let bygones be bygones
No more perk nerfs or fine tuning nerfs for killers power
Uh nah I'll pass on the game that was 100% survivor sided. Especially when I can't play the only killer that means anything to me at this point in time.
-
Yep like the other two have said. So I'm tunneling now? That's my only condition for tunneling and you have managed to make me do it. What is your issue?
-
Iron will at peak was probably a worse design than old DH. S tier perks that require 0 brain power to get value in chased should never exist.

I think its because if you give soloq base-kit kindred or base-kit global bond, it invalidates a large chunk of survivor perks in the game that you now need rework. My suggestion is to purpose all those perks into killer wall-hack perks that briefly show the killer aura. I think its just a lot of work.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3286249#Comment_3286249
I mean they buffed trapper last year. they gave him 2 traps base-kit and reworked his add-on's. It fixed absolutely nothing for what is wrong with trapper, but hey, it's progress I guess. Main problem with most of the killer is lack of skill expression in using their ability. Most of the killer have one dimensional powers with shallow skill-floors. Take Otz who is supposedly trapper main. How much better is Otz trapper compare to another player who has played trapper for 50 games? There is like no additional potency that makes you go like: Wow this guy is leagues above all other trappers! You can put a high MMR killer that is good at playing m1 killers and get them all to play trapper and there will not be much difference in performance level for trapper. Its like that for like 80% of the killers in the game. Repressed skill-cap on their ability.
Part of it is just wee-bit over tuned wraith. Survivor baby rage.
True most killers have low skill expression, especially compared to something like blight. Every survivor should know how to loop a m1 killer easily, it shouldn't take more than 50-100 hours max but most killers that actually have skill expression take more skill expression to play against as well.

yeah that sounds pretty accurate to me. Most killers need a much higher skill cap. This gives them potential against good players but doesn’t hurt the lower players.
It's unfortunate most killers in this game have such low skill expression.

It's wonderful that you don't care, but I do care. It's not my connection and I've shown that on a previous post where I showed my almost 800 Mbps internet connection. The issue is that I am being put on servers with killers I have no business being on because they extended the width of server reach.
It's a I don't care in terms of that validation is survivor sided but it doesn't bother me because the perk isn't good. It sounds like it's not even a head on issue in the first place but you getting placed in the wrong servers.
-
If survivors have bad ping the head-on effect lingers and it directly correlates with how bad their ping is. It's like DH validation pre-rework but it's head so no one cares including me.
-
Me when I just want to play two games before I go to bed and one survivor instantly gives up on first hook both games. I understand your complaints but I just want to play the game when I have the chance. They really gotta get rid of take a chance, people don't care because they can leave any time they want.

Competitive advantage? Its a silly Snowman event. 😂
Again it's silly for 2 days and then its multiple 3rd health states so yeah.
-
You know, I am against whataboutism. BUT. The game was survivor sided for majority of it's life span.
M1 killers are literally = to solo queue if people are actively trying I know mmr can be bad
high tier killers are = to 2, 2 man swfs or 3-4 swf
Though that highly depends on the builds of both sides.
If you really think things like clown and wraith for example are stronger than even decently competent solos running good builds you would be wrong
