Okay see you next update
I will never understand why people say this all the time. Some people legit quit and don't come back and that just hurts everyone overall as the player base slowly dwindles. Its not even like tc doesn't have valid criticism. Everyone who plays the game should be demanding that we get to see ping in the lobby. It shouldn't even need to be asked for since we already had it and it was taken away from us without a single valid reason as to why.
I my self am tired of getting killers with massive ping issues and getting hit half way across the map. I am also tired of survivors teleporting away with their red ping shield.
-
yes it has became very bad lately nothing like getting hit in the middle of shack when the killers outside the window.

ok so according to them they fixed the cursor issiue... does that mean the penalties are back to normal again? theyve not been mentioned in the post.
They have a fix, but it hasn't been applied yet as far as I am aware.

This is pure DBD. Random things happen based on the map, perks, add-ons, and choices everyone makes. Getting through that gauntlet is what makes it worth the effort and the reward.
Well then they better increase it to 2 million bp because that is how much the reward should be for the hell you go through to get there. At this point the reward is not worth the effort. Which is why for the first time in a long time I have decided not to iri 1 survivor.

You are giving them power with your greed and lust
you shouldn't de-pip because you couldn't get the required heals or saves because you had 2 team mates dc on you or suicide on hook. There is no tension in being screwed over because you have babies on your team. You also shouldn't de-pip because your killer is afk and because of that you can not get the heals/saves/chase points.
-
@ColonGlock said:
These days you cannot derank even if you de-pip, so it is much more forgiving. I think the threat of pip loss adds tension, which makes it interesting. I like having something on the line.
Pips only have power if you pay attention to them. I highly encourage you to forget they exist and never hover your pointer over your grade to see where you are. Just play and do your best without being hard on yourself.
ya im sure there is absolutely no power in the 1 million bp, it is all in our heads.
-
Honestly de-piping needs to go, it just makes this game less enjoyable than it already is. I feel like most people would stop caring about getting tunneled or camped as much if we didn't get punished for it by de-piping. As it currently stands you can de-pip through no fault of your own and it shouldn't be that way. I'm tired of losing pips because of dc'ers and rage quitters.

The color has made me have to walk away a couple times because it made me feel dizzy and lightheaded.

Wraith's mori must be the most boring and uninspired one.
And Trappers mori would be +300% cooler, if he pushed a suevivor headfirst into one of his Beartraps.
The wraith mori sucks. To answer the question though, the answer is definitely ghostface,

Yeah if bhvr wanted her to be picked more they would toss her a bone. No one wants to play someone with little variety to their cosmetics.

@Sharpefern said it already but I'll say it too. That person has decided that they want to ditch a game and waste four other players time. If my time and the other survivors time is wasted, I'm not letting them just skip on out of the match. Their time is also going to be wasted.
with basekit unbreakable coming you won't be able to do it anymore. In game that I bring reassurance I will definitely spank them with it.

I prefer to play some killers more than survivor and I prefer to play survivor more than some killers.

As i said on multiple occasions
Solo q is bad
Killer is bad in high mmr
I never said killer is bad against solo Q
Killer is not bad at high mmr, at high mmr you occasionally get the sweats but it isn't anywhere near as often. You also don't need to be at high mmr unless you want too. Just play nice for a bit sparing some survivors and you won't be high mmr anymore. Besides at this point MMR is seemingly a myth.
-
@GentlemanFridge said:
I think so, yeah. Similarly, a gate escape after the hatch has been closed (due to only one survivor remaining) should not grant a higher MMR.
What if the gates are already powered and the hatch is closed though? As far as I'm concerned if you escape through a gate and you opened the gate, you should get mmr. At that point you've outplayed the killer no matter the circumstances around you getting through the gate.

@Legionair11111 said:
The developers have already implemented a basekit Borrowed Time perk to survivors so that they cannot be tunneled out of the game as a killer tries to push his objective, but now they are thinking of implementing a basekit Unbreakable?
This to me is way overkill, especially since we have yet to see the killer side get any of the same treatment of a free perk at basekit. I mean the least they could do is make Shattered Hope basekit for killer but sadly killers arent getting any of these "here is a free basekit perk" treatment.
IN MY OPINION (dont get to worked up), I believe if survivors get borrowed time AND unbreakable at basekit, then killers should at least get Shattered Hope and Ruin at basekit as well, this would mean BOTH sides get special treatment for free perks and one side doesnt get visibly favored. Thoughts?
killers do not need any extra help. The game is already to easy for us. With soloq being busted as hell how are you having any difficulty at all. Maybe you need to stop tunneling and start applying map pressure. Excessive tunneling is why BT became basekit, there is only a few circumstances where tunneling a survivor out is needed and if your in one of those bt doesn't stop you from doing it.
-
@Kosturko92 said:
I don't know who came up with the idea that deliverance pairs with off the record, this should be removed asap
The SWF team at high MMR is impossible to beat most of the time.
Please buff killers.
1) Make gen 100 sec
2) Nerf MedKits and Boons ( make that you can apply boon only once per tottem )
3) Give us old corrupt intervention basekit
man get out of here with your complaining killer has never been easier than it is now, while solo q is in hell.

Things don't have to be Horror related. As long as The Entity can corrupt it and draw that soul in to make a new Beast then it become horror.
A dishonored knight for example....or a evil knight in general.....look at Artist, she was a normal girl with some minor mental issues that the Entity corrupted and twisted to the Birb Mama we have today.

2 things.
1. It's not licensed I'm fairly certain
2. Why not? They will probably add for honor cosmetics considering the partnership last year
because for honor does not belong in dbd at all. Killers should always be horror related. For Honor is not horror.
-
Im just going to say it. I don't know what bhvr was thinking. Killer challenges were so basic and simple yet the second node for survivor is something that isn't player controlled in anyway since it entirely depends upon your team unless you can survive long enough and get the hatch.
2 escapes as the second node is just wrong, especially when you consider the killers second node is break 15 pallets/gens/doors something that can be done within a single game through normal play.
-
de-pipping should go the way of the dodo.
-
No.

See the killers I have gone against hit me as soon as I try to inject my points into the rift. So I don't get to deposit them. Those of you who have gotten lucky to have a killer that allows you to be thankful. Like I said before please just let me deposit my points then you can hook me and kill me whatever I don't care just let me have my points 🥺
Sorry, there a lot of dbd players with absolutely zero chill.

Actually most killers have been kind enough to let me get rift during a chase, survivors on the other hand have let people go struggle to get a rift or kick a pumpkin,, as if solo q wasn't in a rough spot to begin with
this is exactly why I personally do not attack survivors at rifts and stop to wait. playing survivor during this event just sucks, too much selfishness.

No one is going to stay in a game where their teammates are actively keeping them on hook forever.
The perk on the ptb was just a griefing perk.
See i only seen complaints coming from people that were more likely campers posing as survivors just to use griefing as a strawman to get the perk nerfed. People who actually want to play the game don't mind waiting longer on the hook. And its also why every single time I say they should've added an opt out instead of a nerf for the crybabies who cant be bothered can press say ability button 1 and boom reassurance is now gone. But that is ALWAYS glossed over and ignored.
Probably because I am right that no real survivors were complaining about being griefed but filthy campers used it as a hypothetical cried. I have never seen any footage to verify this even happened in the ptb. It certainly never happened to me.
They could revert reassurance to its PTB strength and give the crybabies a way out with the ability button to cancel reassurance. Honestly Why even play the damn game. Posts like these are 100% giving me an idea to run reassurance just to use on people trying to hook suicide out of the game as a way to give them a spanking before they leave.

If you added a way to opt out, then solo q survivors would just let go on hook, which would be a the same result.
There are too many streamers showing off themselves ragequitting, and telling their viewers they are ragequitting. There are too many posts on these forums were people publicly admit they ragequit, and I don't see the devs ever stepping in and telling these people it's unsportmanship conduct. In fact, BHVR is mostly silent on this, and just allows people to ragequit whenever they want, and tell us the DC penalty is good enough to discourage this behavior.
Reassurance isn't about helping the quitters, it is used for the people that intend to stay in the game and try to win. Who cares about the rage quitters. I know there is more people wanting to stay and play than the rage quitters.
-
@Coffeecrashing said:
Reassurance can't be buffed to allow more uses, because too many people think it's acceptable to ragequit. You might think it's good gameplay to keep one person alive on a hook for the entire game, but in realty you'll just get a bunch of frustrated survivors that would just ragequit if they knew someone was going to force them to stay alive on a hook the entire game.
That is why they need to add a way to opt out. Then they can restore it to it original design. Before they took the easy way out and ruined it before it launched.

Yeah but the problem with that is games that last little, or people who have been doing gens, since even if you do 3 gens alone you don't get all that many BP.
yeah 18k is on the high end. But it shouldn't be low either where you can just farm unhooks.
-
@Steel_Eyed said:
It’s a legitimate strategy.
I wish It wasn't. it shouldn't be. No one should be rewarded with an escape if they haven't done anything to earn it. I personally think they need to rework the hatch and how it unlocks to be based around bloodpoint earnings. For instance the hatch will only appear for the final survivor if they managed to score 18k+ during the match. If the final survivor does not have 18k score, then the game immediately goes to endgame collapse.
-
They nerfed it instead of adding a way to opt out of it. So yeah no one wants to use the current version. I run it sometimes but most cases I don't have it when I need it, and have it when I don't so I seldomly get any value out of it.

Post a VOD of your "killer main" gameplay.
I would but this games performance lately has been making my outdated hardware struggle these days. Recording on top of it would make me unable to play. During events like this one when gens pop and people get hooked I tend to lock up entirely for a second or so. The other night I made a flashbang play that locked my pc up for roughly 7 seconds.
-
as a killer main it saddens to see my fellow killer mains complain about struggling when killer used to be very hard mode and it is now very easy mode. Work on your weaknesses.
please bhvr buff soloq so I can get a challenge beyond the ultra rare god swfs.
-
@Crowman said:
Why aren't the devs realizing that no one wants to play against swf?
Nurse has already been reworked and survivors will never be happy with nurse as it's unlikely the devs will change how her power functions. Nurse will always be able to blink and survivors will always complain about it. Same with Legion. Legion will always be the killer who runs around putting survivors into deep wounds and survivors will always complain about it.
People rage quitting is not a valid reason to change a killer as there's no way to guarantee the rage quit was because of the killer.
I actually wish I could get more swf games because soloq's are easy and there is no challenge to play killer anymore unless it is against swfs.
-
Take care of yourself first and foremost. Then when you're ready we will be here waiting.
-
my killer games have been kind of nice, just double hook everyone and let them farm as i round around smashing pumpkins.

How do you buff solo queue in a way that:
- Won't also be a buff for SWF
- Won't require abilities and perks to work differently in solo versus SWF (which the devs have emphatically said they will never do)
?
simple you dont give a crap about swf because in reality they're not much better than soloq right now. Pretend swf doesn't exist and balance the game. If you're going against swfs right now and still struggling you're doing something wrong.

@Xernoton said:
6.1.0 was a long overdue patch. It didn't fix the core problems but it helped. Survivors were wating 10+ minutes for a match before because no one even dared to play killer. That shows exactly how fun the game was before. Survivors were having a good time casually destroying killers with their fun and very varied builds. Who didn't love the 70% pick rate on DH for example? Or loading into a match knowing that you lost right there and then because you got a bad map and a bad spawn? Killers got some slight buffs. It's not something insane.
The problem is however that SoloQ is worse than ever because of people dcing or killing themselves. Don't blame that on a patch that had very little impact on that. The reason these people give up is they want to dominate and bully the killer. Even before 6.1.0 you would see people dc as soon as they realized that their idea of a fun match in which they could ruin someone else's experience without any trouble at all was not going to happen.
6.1.0 was not perfect. It buffed some killers more than others. Some killers are now even less fun to go against, I know. But it also helped weaker killers a bit. Personally I would have preferred to see some more SoloQ buffs before the killer buffs. But let's not forget that 6.1.0 did not just buff killers. It also introduced base kit BT which is a huge deal. It nerfed Ruin, Pop and some other gen regression perks that survivors did not like and it even made some perks that no one was ever using viable and strong on both sides.
it's not even just people dcing or killing themselves, its also sandbagging team mates and the Sole Survivor/ Left Behind/ Wake up survivors that are also a problem. Selfish survivors is a bigger problem than the hook suicides/dcers which has gone down dramatically of late.
Yesterday I didn't have anyone dc on my team or hook suicide. But in 1 in every 2 games there was that sole survivor who would do anything they could to get their team killed so they could escape on their own.
Now survivors can't really be toxic to the killer so instead they've completely turned around and started being toxic to their own team. For instance you can be on a gen repairing it and they will walk up and instead of helping, just spam crouch spin around then they will get on the gen blow it up on purpose(you know it is on purpose when it happens twice in a row almost instantly) and run away.
-
As a Killer main I say it failed, you can only 4k so many times with relative ease before you stop enjoying the game. I very rarely get sweaty swfs and even when I do in most games it's either very close or I still walk through them. Before 6.1 this wasn't even close to the case for me.
I rather go back to getting crapped on again atleast then I had to try and not do stupid stuff to give survivors a chance. I don't think balancing around SWF is the right call at all. Everyone talks about sweaty swfs and make it seem like they're in 8/10 games but in reality they're only 1/10 hell sometimes 1/20.
Survivor feels like straight hell due to matchmaking. We have completely selfish survivors deliberately sandbagging the team so they can get their sole survivor/left behind/wake up win. we have match making putting you with potatoes who do absolutely nothing but hide. It is extremely frustrating when you get paired with a sole survivor/wake up/left behind and 2 do nothings.
Sole Survivor/ Left Behind/ Wake Up meta is a terrible meta and not healthy for the game at all. 6.1 Ruined the game for both sides.
-
I'm all for the flashlight change but i think the battery drain needs to be addressed asap.
-
i was chasing two survivors earlier in a game and got hit with a barrage of flashbangs. I thought it was hilarious. I think you should get flashbang tokens for gen progress. With you only being able to craft and hold one at a time. Sure you can make 3 flashbangs in a row but that means you need to get in a locker to craft them each time. That sounds fair to me.
