If 60 seconds of wasted time is not good then pop goes the weasel would be terrible by survivor standards. Heck I watched a youtuber call aftercare bad, a perk that gives you info at all times once you unhooked somebody.
What does this have to do with pop? I'm sorry if you think that DS is an almighty perk but like I said I have my own statistics that show in my case it's a waste of a perk and it's just not needed over 75% of the time. As a solo there are far better perks that I can run and DS is at the bottom of my list and there's nothing that is going to change my mind about this. If you think DS to waste 60 seconds or whatever your reason for needing it is then that's cool play how you want. Like I said most killers I get matched against respect DS or just don't tunnel and make it obsolete.

That's 60 seconds of wasted time each time you go down after a hook, I hope you don't think POP is good then.
What are you talking about?
-
Hi!
-
So I decided to take it upon myself a couple of weeks back to record my data in red ranks for solo survivor. I recorded the stats for around 100 games and what I found, at least for me was that DS is a waste of a perk. Most killers will leave you slugged and wait for the timer to run out or the tunneling will just be a nonissue. So to me I would just rather not run DS as a solo as majority of the time its obsolete and therefore a waste of a perk slot for me.

I doubt OP wants to be part of some competitive team so saying this is fine because it's "practice" is just wrong. People usually play this game to have fun and it's way more fun to be matched against people you actually have a fair of chance to actually play.
If this is the experience DBD gives its new players it's just bad for the overall survival of the game
Okay so what? You can go up against good teams at the green ranks too. Problem is everyone just wants super easy games and easy wins and they don't want to actually learn to get better at the game and constantly make up excuses every single time they lose. Every game has some form of a learning curve and considering there's no casual mode and the way the current rank system works you're going to eventually hit at the very least purple ranks just by playing the game. Which means whether you like it or not you're going to eventually go against people who are playing in a competitive way. What's actually wrong is too many people want to play on and endorse playing on baby mode and throw a tantrum when the other side good. I never see people complaining when they go against a team or killer they demolish saying it's unfair then, it's only when people go up against a challenge when they complain. You bring up survival of the game as if this game isn't continuously becoming more popular. Honestly you don't know what you're talking about and with that being said feel free to respond if you want I'm not even gonna bother reading it considering like I just said you don't know what you're talking about.
-
It's good practice in my eyes. If you continue to play sooner or later you're gonna face up against pretty good teams more often than not.

We all know it. Despite most people not wanting to admit it.
If literally anything pro-survivor comes up in these forums, it gets absolutely ransacked by the forums majority.
If something related to both sides comes up, the survivor part gets ignored and the killer side gets praised.
This whole site is just one big circle jerking echo chamber now. The mentality is "Killer = Good, Survivor = Bad".
No ideas can be shared and nothing can be said unless it's pro-killer and anti-survivor.
Hell, I bet 99% of you didn't even read this far. The second you read "pro-survivor", you tuned out, tightened your big boy pants, pushed up your glasses, cracked your fingers and were ready to tell off the "toxic survivor main" who posted this.
Ffs... It's like I'm not even allowed to play both sides anymore.
I feel like this game would be so much better than it is if people could have civil discussions and bring forth their ideas on how to bring this game as close to balanced as possible. Half these posts I read just seem like post game rants because someone had a bad game and can't just move on from their loss.

I don't really get the current rank reset. If everyone drops one color block each month, aren't you playing against the exact same people anyway? I don't see how it changes anything.
Exactly an hour of play give or take and its back to the colour you were sooo
-
Visually similar definitely better though and much much smoother. The Ps5 is a lot more powerful than a lot of people's PC's currently and it definitely shows especially going from the Ps4 to 5

It's just so you can't be at the top forever and ever.
I mean yeah it does make sense there's nothing wrong with it. The current rank reset feature in this game just seems a little idk I guess a bit bland. I enjoy it cause I have fun with the grind of ranking up but that's all there is too it really. No rewards for making it to a certain rank, no cool cosmetics just back to purple for a few games and then straight back to where I was. I guess what I'm trying to say is it would add a whole other form of fun to this game at least for me if there was something to look forward to a rank reset. Kinda like with the shrine every week it's almost like being a kid at Christmas being like ooo what am I gonna get lol.

@chadbeastofprey said:
i think rank reset is good but there's just no way it should be every single month. maybe once every 3 months or something.
Yeah even this wouldn't be so bad

There wasn't a reason really, which is why they're changing how ranks work here soon. The matchmaking part will be a background thing and your visual rank will only be that, visual. The more you play, the more you "rank up" until the reset, in which you get bloodpoints for the rank you reached, then everyone is reset back to 20.
I'd actually prefer this way more than what there is now
-
Don't be scared of basement camping Bubbas's just grab him and throw him on the hook instead
-
Cross progression still isn't a thing sadly. I've been waiting to transfer from console over to PC as well for a while now. The UI and animations have been updated and you can change the scale of them in the menu. That's just what comes to mind in terms of big changes everything else I pretty much forget about lol
-
I was playing on the Asylum yesterday and one side of the map was almost an entire deadzone for hooks. If I downed more than one person on that side I had no choice but to slug them because picking them up would result in them struggling out (which it did) if the hooked person wasn't saved yet and I couldn't trade the hook. On the other side of the map though I could have stood still till the wiggle progress was at like 80% and still make it to multiple hooks before they escaped my grasp.
-
Seems to still be a thing but also seems to adjust to where it needs to be after a game or two, usually.
-
I really don't care about going against SWF or just good players in general. It teaches me how to pressure more effectively and how to out position survivors better and learn how to make better reads. Even if I lose, I've gained experience to become a better player myself. I don't understand this mentality that so many people in this community have where they don't want to ever face good players. Competitive players/teams shouldn't be allowed in competitive? No the real answer is a casual mode with LESS bp's and rewards for people like you.
Can't take the heat keep out the kitchen big man.
-
I just got spirit today. GG EZ Clap
-
The only way to get better is to face adversity. When going against a good team take it as a lesson rather than letting it bother you. Take note of how they loop and move around and try to counter it. If you do fail just reflect on the things where you could have done something different that would have benefitted you more. Just take something that you see as negative and use it as a learning experience to enhance your own experience when playing in the future. Yeah it can be super annoying but that's the thing with DBD sooner or later there's always something that's gonna get on your nerves. Don't let it.
-
The accuracy of it is great 😂

I support calling out ragequitters, though.
The problem with that is majority of the time you don't know why that person left. There's multiple reason why they may have disconnected that's completely out if their control but they're immediately deemed a rage quitter with no actual evidence to support the fact. I've had somebody message me before profusely apologizing over the fact they got disconnected because their power flicked, but guess what? They still got abused and called ignorant things because for some reason people need to feel mighty and superior in a video game world and live in a self-centered reality.

Sure, you can stop playing when you want. Just don't get mad if you get punished for it.
Yes that's my point. I don't have a problem with the fact that there's a penalty in place. Personally I've only seen it around a 3 minute penalty, so idk if it goes up based upon how much you disconnect and that's why people complain or how it works exactly. What I have a problem with is the fact that there's a moderator sitting here essentially calling people rage quitters and telling people when they can and can't stop playing the game. That's not what a moderator does. A moderator should explain why they're is such a system in place and what their objective of using the system is and be a neutral voice of reason. Not to comment on a post and tell people they don't have a good enough reason to "rage quit!!!!"

No, that behavior actually the exact thing that SHOULD be discouraged. You DC because something came up IRL that demands your immediate attention. Not because you are bored.
Feel free to think what you want. My life doesn't revolve around video games though so I'll play when I want and I'll stop playing when I want. Like I said I'm not sitting here advocating to quit the game every time something bad happens but I feel like I'm done for the night and I'm in the middle of the game it is what it is. If it's such a big problem add a ranked mode for people who wanna play super seriously and a casual mode for people who don't really care what happens. If you're gonna sit here and tell me that if I join a game I'm obligated to dedicate my time to that entire game even if I don't want to feel free to pay me for my time.

Ace in the hole. Seriously 100% chance of a very rare or lower add on will be attached to any item you find?!?! Wayyyy too OP no counter play nerf immediately

No, I disagree. I think if you do that mid-match excessively, you deserve some sort of repercussion.
Yes I agree that leaving excessively should be punished. My problem is the comment the mod made stating that you can only use the leave function in the game for certain pre approved reasons other why it's ragequit!!! and you don't have a good enough reason to do that essentially. For example, say I'm having a good time playing and I'm like alright I'm gonna get one more game in before I go to bed cause I got work in the morning. I get into the game and for whatever reason maybe halfway into the game maybe a little less there's something going on that's made me decide meh this just isn't a fun game or this game is a definite loss and I don't wanna waste my time so I leave. Nobody can tell me that I can't do that and it's ragequit!!! I just feel that's a nonsense extremely unprofessional response from a mod of all people.

If you don't want to play another match, don't queue up another match and quit.
Yes that is usually what people do... I don't see your point because there's a difference between not wanting to play another match and someone who feels like quitting mid match for whatever reason. They wanted to play another match so they went to one. During that match something made them not want to play anymore. So again as frowned upon as it may be people do have a right to do that.

going to clear something up here, as I've seen what you're referring to. Advocating for DC's on this forum or advising that you DC for something that happened in a game, is completely against our forum rules, and the mod was right in their actions.
The Leave Game Button is only for emergencies, just because you don't like something happening in game - that's not reason to ragequit! That's exactly the reason why we have the DC penalty in place.
So let me get this straight you can't even stop playing your game whenever you want because that's apparently not allowed? There is literally zero incentive or reward for winning a match. You can't tell somebody that they can't stop playing their game if they want to unless it's for some arbitrary pre-approved reasons no matter how frowned upon it may be.
-
-Survivors playing a slow game "Me no like this it take too long ban them"
-Survivors gen rush "Me no like this either too hard no counter play nerf them"
Essentially half these posts are nerf this or ban that because people aren't playing the game the way that I want them to.
-
I have a feeling that you didn't actually survive and this just a rage post after the game hoping people will agree with you so you feel justice or something

You lost a pip after a 3k? you played poorly then

I find it only seems to happen to me after 9pm EST.

Opens post, Sees novel, Nope, Post's useless comment anyways, Bye.

If you don't play as Ace why do you even play?
-
I've always thought it would be cool if they had a daily login reward bonus where each day you get something better for consecutive logins for maybe a time period of a week.
Day 1 - 3 you get Bloodpoints 25k, 50k, 75k
Day 4 you get and Iri Mystery Box for either survivor or killer (your choice)
Day 5 you get Iri shards maybe like 250
Day 6 Maybe more Bloodpoints 100k
Day 7 you get 100 Auric Cells
This is just my idea though I'm sure there's better values or ideas out there

Kindred, Windows of Opportunity, DH and Iron Will

"Ban this because I don't like it"

No perk takes skill to use.
Um excuse me no perk takes skill to use? I'll have you know that when I use kindred I have to turn my camera to face towards the hook to get information and takes a lot of practice to get right! ;)

You'll never see me without Kindred and Windows of Opportunity
-
His power should have been to delete himself and never be put into this game.
-
My guy you really need to rethink this post and use a little common sense. Not hating on you but come on man really is this what you truly came up with after seeing this perk?
-
Another post that's essentially change certain things about this game because I don't like them and they're challenging for me and I want to play on easy mode
-
I've had similar freezing issues tonight. Twice when going to hook a survivor as killer and one time repairing a gen as survivor which made me miss the skill check. I'm playing on PS5 haven't ever encountered this before tonight.
-
When someone is better than you shouldn't you take the time to figure out how to beat them so that you can become a better player yourself? This post is essentially if it isn't an easy game then I don't want to play. I think this is one of the biggest problems with this game is when people go up against a challenge and fall short they look for excuses rather than taking the loss learning from it and moving on. You're not gonna win every single game no matter what you do.
-
@Adeloo said:
oh yeah finally people are seeing the potential of WoO ! <3 I've seen it use more and more so that make me happy !
Kindred + WoO + Iron Will + DS or Borrowed Time or Spine Chill or Visionnary
I think windows might be the most underrated perk going. The second I found out about it I had to have it. No longer do I run around like a frantic idiot during chases just trying to figure out where there may or may not be a pallet lmao
-
It all depends for me. I had one game where one survivor was doing reallllly well during a chase and was making it very hard for me to get a hit and I had to stop chasing them. Unfortunately for that person they had potatoes for teammates who barely did any gens and went down super easy. I let the person who did well against me get the hatch out to show respect to them. If I have a wholesome moment with a survivor during a trial I'll also let them escape. However, if I notice people trying to be toxic or being a detriment to their team and they're last alive sorry but you aren't getting out.
