I'd make Shadowborn linked to FOV slider so I can play killer without motion sickness.

yeah, but it only bans specific players. and you just need to go through the whole game, receiving EZs at the end like nothing happened.
If you're able to it would help reduce the number of hackers. But it does feel like an impossible war with the current report system as new accounts are so readily available.
-
I wish we could have community mods like Steam workshop.

Probably just the unfortunate way the kill switch feature works. I assume they would have needed to push out an update for the game to disable her while still letting you access her bloodweb and that's probably a mix of them not liking to do updates too frequently and having to go through certification for consoles. It seems they wanted to remove her ASAP so the kill switch was just the simplest and quickest option.
Pretty much this. It's much easier to just make the character unavailable globally.
-
Cheryl, so they can fix the body swap bug. Or better yet, just enable it for broader gender expression options.
-
They had similar system in Aliens: Fireteam Elite. It's a nice way to limit builds from being too OP.
Personally I'd like to see a dynamic handicap system to help balance the meta when stacked. Like 4x DH in the lobby might give the killer 1% extra Bloodlust. Or automatically make it 98% proc rather than 100%.
Or if there is more than two players CoH up then one of the totems aura is visible to the killer.
-
The last time it happened to me I coudn't stop laughing, thinking how tilted/new this killer must be to BM.
The first few times it happened to me was not fun at all because I was so new to the game. If they're trying to provoke a early death it's more fun pretending to self-unhook and give team some time to do gens.
-
I don't see it as often as Deathgarden mask, and I think boop the snoot is a Western meme. I would allow boops with it but most survivors run when I growl.
-
I'd really like to try her now with the reduced transition time, hit and run and chases for fun. I think conservative changes are wise, let's see how she performs on live against baby survivors.
-
Maybe BHVR are working on sophisticated new proprietary anti-cheat engine and this was just a chess move to get more hackers to test it on.

'Lots' became 'I've seen several cases of ....' huh?
So just one question, you have seen all of these in your own games or on videos/streams etc?
Not really. I just don't feel obliged to give you any data from my own matches.

Honestly, what kind of replies did you expect to obtain while typing this in an incredibly killer sided echo chamber where people complain of every minor thing survivors do?
I mean just reading your post I can feel the echo chamber forcing me to agree with you. I'm not sure exactly what is happening. Is this what echo chambers do? Can you hear my echoes? Are they killer sided echoes?

How come its a pandemic then if you see 'lots' and I barely see any?
How many is lots anyway? 10, 20, 50, 100?
I'm not going to give you a number. Let me just say I've seen several cases of instaheals, teleporting and leaving the game before it ends, survivor changing totem status since EGC release.
-
Who necromorphed this thread? I don't think it will fit and I doubt BHVR can get a license deal with EA.

Pandemic? I have not seen a hacker in 7 months.
I've seen lots since EGC release.

This is real. In the old days you would come across someone cheating from time to time, but for a while now (especially since the game came out on Epic Games) we've seen a lot of people using cheats. The reporting system does not seem to work, it gives the feeling that it is only good for letting off steam since there are more and more. It's very frustrating. They should provide more tools when reporting such actions. Or at least give them to certain people you trust, like the Fog Whisperers to clean up the game.
Reporting in game only is useless. You have to also create a ticket with video proof of hacking/cheats. They should make this more clear in the game.

so Bloodlust has no reason to stay if there is no more infinite ?
There are still infinites, with subtle speed hacks.

Yes, please.
Not even because of the reasons you gave but because there's this one particular, infamous EU Pig main that's also a known groomer that seriously has it out for me and has sent his community to harass my socials before because I... use a filter to help colourblindness...
I'd do anything to have a decent game where he doesn't bring the most bullshit add-ons and facecamp/tunnel me w/ a mori at 5 gens for not having functional eyes.
This is really a case of harrassment though. I hope you are reporting them so they get banned.
-
They could use some random name generator so killers have some way to distinguish. Otherwise you can't keep track of who is who when you're trying to spread the love and not tunnel. It's bad enough you see the same 'avatar' for each survivor.
-
I think the tips are overall a good idea, nice format for easy sharing. Would love to see some for lesser seen killers like Twins, Hag and Pinhead.
-
Problem if you split competitive and casual, you still get sweaty players who like to "use" casual as it has loose MMR compared to ranked. I'm seeing this in another game I play.
-
Looking at Propnight I am kind of glad we don't have this because I think it would more likely lead to having teams of same survivors and ruin immersion.
-
I'm glad I got to experience it. There is a lot to love about the game.
-
I think the grind is intentional to keep players in matches and in the bigger picture keep an active replenishing playerbase.
-
I suspect there is high churn at both "ends", because playing as either role means a lot of grind and inevitable burnout. If you are achievement driven you cannot fail to notice MM failings. Grind is a huge barrier for casuals. I think some games retain core players by changing skill/class balance regularly to keep it interesting, and maybe this is something DbD hasn't considered. So you see a lot of complaints about a stale meta.
-
I would love to remove Kate's Flower in the Dark backpack. It looks like she stole it from a child.
-
I don't think it will give good data. The reason is backfill and lobby dodging mess with matchmaking, which has already been said to prioritise shorter wait times. There probably is no churn factor being calculated. Garbage in, garbage out.
-
I got motion sickness even playing Bubba. I was going for his Adept so couldn't use Shadowborn. FOV handicap and terrible controller options is another reason not to spend more money on this game. Accessibility is just not a priority. I wonder if someone has to end up in ER before they put an epilepsy warning on the game.
-
I love cleansing totems in front of a frantic Mikaela crouching at me.
-
DICE? I hear they did good work with Battlefield 2042.
-
I feel like DbD already made its bed with competitive play/MMR.
But that said; what about something like DH being 98% chance of proc instead of guaranteed? That's less than chance of self unhook. What if CoH had a 1% chance of totem aura being visible to the killer, or boon fail and the totem crumpled?

I just got 8012 error - got kicked out of game. I had good internet connection and servers are fine. I had to restart the game to get rid of it and now I got penalty too. I was playing with my friend on cross play - me on steam, he on xbox game pass. Two other survivors also on steam got dc before I did. My friend and killed both on other platform (the killer also had crossplay icon - the planet) stayed in game. This is evidently cross play issue.
Steam maintenance every Tuesday at 2300 UTC.

It's rare to see it.

You can see if you turn her around in the shop. For where she isn't wearing gloves:
Sun Seeker - hot pink
Goddess of Victory - white
Wild Card - baby pink
Kumi-Daiko - white
Masked Rider - purple
Nagoya First Timer - turquoise blue
Nagoya New Contender -red
Nagoya Rising Star - violet
Hida (all) - hot pink
-
I've had a couple of survivors in solo queue spam flashlight as a warning the killer was close. But it such an annoying way to do it, that I tend to assume they're just attention seeking.
-
Even if you unhook on first try early on you still on second stage automatically if rehooked. It seems designed this way so you don't get another self-unhook chance.
-
I honestly have better things to do with my life than waste it on a game with such broken matchmaking.

Can relate
Also: yes, I also personally find the report system horrible. Not to mention I have to remind myself to open OBS everytime I play DBD, JUST in case I meet a hacker. And since I always forget, I end up recording with my phone some crappy videos.
But most annoyingly, the size limit on videos on their site is so small that I need to upload videos to youtube in order to give them the ACTUAL PROOF FOR WHICH I AM LITERALLY SENDING THE TICKET DEAR BHVR!
I use Xbox Game bar. It's easy to open Win+G when I find a hacker, I can just use the little icon that automatically records the last 30 seconds. I think NVIDIA tool has similar function.
-
Someone unhooked me with it today. I only noticed because it wasn't BT (or nothing, which I find in solo queue is usually the case. Unsafe hook farming FTW).

Loki is not licensed character? He is mythological god, who cares about Marvel.
IDK What OP wants. They put a Smite asset which would need licensing.
-
I don't think Marvel superhero fits DbD.
-
This happened to someone else.
-
Mandy also mentioned lobby dodging as one of the reasons why match-making isn't working optimally. I hope they address this and backfill with March update. I have zero motivation to play killer the way things are.

I didn’t understand the story behind his “mother”. Was she his actual mother? Where was she during the first movie? Were they also suggesting he didn’t kill anyone after the events of the first movie and her death set him off again?
I just didn’t like it. Characters were forgettable. I don’t even recall anyone’s name. Sally was totally wasted. Besides trying to look like Leatherface I didn’t get a “Leatherface” vibe from him. He was too smart and cunning and what’s with making him like Jason and making him superhuman?
The post credit scene should have made me excited. It didn’t.
Seems like the writers just put different ideas together from some of films and came up with this mess. For example In the 2017 film Bubba spends some time in an orphanage. I think we are to believe she took him in after his killing spree in 1973 knowing full well what he was. The chainsaw behind a wall? Who did the construction work on that "project"?
I expected more from Fede Alvarez name attached, as I liked his Evil Dead remake. Actually the only two things hs production brought was polished gore and cinematography.

Fitflop make some work suitable shoes but I'd recommend trying first. Crocs do too. They're popular type of shoe in healthcare setting where your on your feet for long shifts.

They dont have the manpower to deal with increasing amounts of cheaters. Most companies dont which is why we have anti-cheat software. To catch the big stuff and ban the rest. Problem is cheats are always evolving and more people using them affects the community.
It's even worse nowadays with streaming because people feel more inclined to play and give their audience content. The best solution I've ever found for dealing with cheaters is simply by not giving them attention. No cheater deserves more attention than another person -- in any game. The more attention you give to them the more they want. Like little children who get their way all the time.
Ignore them and they will find something else to do. Eventually. If enough people start leaving games with cheaters in them it might have enough of an impact, but thats up to the players to decide.
According to another site BHVR have annual revenue $124.2M and 871 employees. If they're going to outsource the anti-cheat they should at least get a decent one.
-
On PTB when they were reintroduced the lines were happening so much you'd hear them overlap.
-
Bots, replay and better anti-cheat are all dreams for DbD 2.

I think you might need devkit hardware to test, for example:
