I chose last option as I think it could make the game more fun.

It's all about the money. Everyone has to make money. Why would BHVR allow PC players to use mods and make less money as a result?
BHVR could also sell grind boosters and perk/cosmetic gachapon. They could also give us extensive character customisation like some MMO. Plenty of whales just aching to be milked.

They changed Yui's Lunar racer head as well. Before on release she had no makeup on. Now she is covered in makeup. I hate it.
Girl got some lessons in makeup from a toddler.

I just watched this film. Strange how much he looked like Kenneth the clown. Can't beat the original or the 2003 version. Just not interesting enough character to have him alone without his family.

DBD has to sell cosmetics. The main reason I buy skins is to support the game. If everyone could use mods, most people would stop buying cosmetics.
I think they cater to different but overlapping markets. Remember it only PC players who can swap pak files and consoles still a big market. Some of the mods I've seen (topless Myers, Priapism Leon) will have limited appeal.

Flashlight can burn her crows.
-
Too early to say. I've had more jumpscares from lockergrabs as killer.
-
Bad owner means trouble for all dogs. Most wild dogs would pack hunt and eat you if hungry.
-
Depends who is involved in production. I think another one is due, Halloween Ends, to make the recent ones a trilogy.
-
It's probably a good thing they don't include her being intersex. It just add another layer to the experience when being bullied by survivors. Having CAIS does not mean having external testicles.

I think it's not good to be losing players. A developer has to ask themselves about player retention and churn rate, and which kind of players are spending money on the game. Why do you think big companies like EA do engagement optimised matchmaking?
Steam statistics aren't good enough data so we can only speculate amongst ourselves where the losses are occurring. Anecdotally I see survivor queues getting longer. But I also see killer queue getting longer during day time. Is this a snowball effect?
I play both sides and both can be miserable at times. So I think feedback is important about why. The trouble is feeling like BHVR can only do so much balance work and that it is entirely a zero sum situation: one side gets buffed at the expense of the other. So then it becomes which is the squeakiest wheel to be oiled?
Mandy confirmed something about dodged lobbies affecting matchmaking and it is such an issue along with backfill that I don't want to play killer until it is fixed.

It is a horror slasher trope that horny teens get killed, so one could argue there should be even more skimpy clothing in DbD. But because it's multiplayer I don't want it. However I think modding should be allowed so players can see what they want on their screens.
Modding is the only way I can see Myers getting a Halloween Kills mask, Robert Englund face rework for Freddy, Noir Claire from RE:2, etc.
But of course people had to ruin it by making Trapper's traps bright pInk.

since you listed Cheryl, I'll remind:
What about Rin? I find it strange she has a school uniform because that's usually something worn 16 and under. But it could be acceptable fanservice in a different region.

It's always been killer sided, it is only way more killer sided now.
Survivors that used stretched won't be able to win when it is removed.
They could learn, or they could be potato like me.

Just request BHVR allow mods again so you can get all your thirsty needs fulfilled from LoversLab.
-
To a PC killer on Steam, you just see a globe icon for console but it could also be Epic game store (PC).
-
If a tree falls in the woods, and no one is there to see it, was it a really skilled play to begin with?
-
Well when one survivor DC it makes it a lot harder for remaining survivors to complete gens. So some expect a killer to go easy as they are disadvantage. But there are no rules. Just play how you prefer.

If it's the MYC on you just have to hit them when exposed not exposed by the perk itself. I did MYC,Devour Hope Undying, haunted with huntress with the movment speed add on and it was a blood bath.
Ahh thank you! I can do it now.
-
I've seen a few threads where survivors have admitted to bullying Sadako with friends on PTB. It's sad state of the game. This is how they play on live anyway.
-
I was trying to get a Pig tome challenge done and had to dodge a lobby because they were all the same survivor wearing same outfit. I needed to hear the scream to know who to chase.
I usually don't tend to dodge lobbies which is probably why I end up with MMR's sloppy seconds.
-
I'd open a support ticket to be sure.
-
I like them as a source of bloodpoints, especially to a newer player this is good way to retain them. Challenges can be fun way to gamify tedious grind, but the problem is some of the challenges can be tedious too. Too much luck involved if you are achievement driven.
I'm not a fan of having exclusive outfits locked by challenges. I prefer they stick to the battlepass for this kind of content.
-
I'd suggest not reading the PTB forum if you don't want to see such posts. This is precisely the place for such feedback and generally speaking I'd say experienced killers give fair first impressions assessment. There's always pinch of salt as PTB can only give a limited impression due to the vastly smaller player pool and how that impacts matches.

Are you playing with ReShade? I dont understand why some of the icons are so pink and not red. I don't mean the HUD icons you swap.

I never knew que times for the PTB were long… Is this new? Every time I watched a streamer hop on in the past, they seemed to get matches fairly quickly. Is it because of the DDOS’ing?
I think because most people on PTB are testing the new killer. So there are much longer wait time for matches than normal.

You only needed to download like,3GB for this update?
Nope, I had to download the whole game again (PTB version) and to go back to live, another 36 GB. Fortunately I have fast internet and SDD.
-
I'm not sure I'd want to go on a date with any of the killers TBH. But I watched Leatherface film again yesterday and it made me think about his childhood and developmental/learning difficulties. Even Dr Loomis tried to find some humanity in Myers (in the remake).
It would be interesting to have conversational dinner/lunch with Pinhead. Or Plague, as I love history.
-
I think biggest obstacle is it is limited to Steam and you have to download 64 GB twice. So you only get the most motivated types of player testing and some streamers (and their friends) who want to stream about the new content.
I'm not going to queue for 30 mins just to get a match with the kind of players I find during peak time on live. Sadako humilation simulator is not my cup of tea.

Only 1 totem should be able to be activly booned at a time. 4 Survivors bringing Boon: Circle Of Screw Killers should not be able to boon 4 separate totems & blanket half the map with OP healing speeds.
I think capping it at max two boons of the same kind up at once as a conservative nerf. Solo queue can be a nightmare still. I ran CoH for months feeling like it didn't help much.
-
Now you can have four boons at once. Aw, bless.
This game is quickly becoming
Dead by Daylight: Booner Edition
(except I don't think many will use Yoichi's boon).
-
She somewhere between Wraith and Freddy but lacks the finesse of both. They overegged this one.
-
Sadako make us wait another 7 days for your grand entrance.

I don’t think people are actually leaving the match via the menu, when on the hook. I think they are just fed up and close the game out altogether, so the penalty wait time is unintentionally irrelevant. This is my theory because there have been times I have been so frustrated with this game that I’m ready to play something else, but then I remember I have to wait for the animation to end and return to the lobby. Once there I can close out.
Now I will DC on hook if the 2nd to last survivor is working with the killer and they are both trying to farm me. You’re not going to get free BP off of me- F that. Another scenario is if I’m Iridescent Grade 1 and there are 4/5 gens left and the second to last survivor starts running to get me, and I know he’ll reach before the 2nd missed skill check. That’s so stupid. There is no way you and I will get 4/5 gens done and escape. Go for hatch. Don’t try to farm me for extra points, use me as a decoy till I die, THEN go for hatch. F you.
Yes, it does seem like power button or for PC Alt-F4. I know on console, if you press power button the OS still takes some time to shutdown, which explains some lag where I was about to hook and got frozen by the DCer for a second before the DC registers.
-
Going by other discussions "hold W" anti-loop is any killer that cannot be looped to get away, so the best strategy is to run when you hear terror radius.
-
I think it's either to spite the killer or being so overcome with emotion.
-
Honestly if I wanted this much grind I'd play a mobile game. At least you can shortcut the grind by throwing money at it.

You haven't played when its turned off and every second game is a DC on first down, first hook, first chase, mori, grab, killer they don't like, I heard the killer terror radius first DC, or the my totem destroyed at game start DC, pallet stunned and blinded once DC etc etc?
The penalty exists because the community can't be trusted to act like adults and just play the game they signed up for.
Yes there will be ######### games that aren't fun, which you just have to wade through, yes you will get penalized for a legit disconnect due to loss of internet etc, but that's the cost of playing amongst cry babies and the punitive measures designed to dissuade them.
It doesn't even need to be turned off. I had a streak of 4 matches with one player DC when I was about to pick up/hook.
There could be a system where you submit the last crash report log to remove the penalty timer. But I think the system is designed because there are probably serial DC'ers and players who try to play even though they have terrible internet.
-
A few million at least; if you have several killers perks unlocked you are penalised.
Recently the bloodweb screwed me I was forced to unlock Hysteria for all killers just to progress the bloodweb on Nemesis. Yet another unwanted perk now going to be thrown in the already horrible RNG pool.
-
It's really frustrating when a player DC just as you pick them up or hook them.
I don't know why it happens so much in my matches. I try not to make it about me, because it is the player choosing to DC for whatever reason. I do think "this player was not having fun".
Do BHVR even care to analyse ragequits in matches to see what design problems cause it?
-
Last week. I remember because Victor was having a tantrum and I kept pointing at him.

I'll probably wait for it to be on sale. By then anything "OP" will have been complained and fixed.
-
I don't think weapons suit the spirit of being a survivor in DbD. There are many perks/tools already to evade the killer.
-
Recently seen more hackers at low MMR.
-
I can hear her hissing "It's time for your catheter change!"
-
It is a fun perk on her for sure.
-
There's a few issues with it but none of them are in your poll.
Where I have seen it change the 'battle', it has been because at least one player has it and relights it for quick healing. Players get injured, hide then heal. So a killer never can apply pressure unless the team is baby survivors. With medkits you can heal team mates super fast. This seems unfair.
This is partly why I switched to self-care and start cleansing totems, and seeking out injured players. Before, I used to use CoH all the time and it didn't seem to help much. Surprising the number of survivors who don't understand it has a radius effect.
I don't know how to balance it better so it scales for all players.
-
I understand now. They could make a new achievement like snuff 100 boons to specifically address the booners.
-
I'm pretty sure I grabbed some survivors off a hex totem to get this achievement.
