So they originally wanted Legion to function as a mimic-based character but I believe it was stated that it couldn’t work due to SWF? And I’d guess that’s also why it can’t work with UVX.
No. Feral Frenzy was always the power for Legion. It had a stalking requirement during development but in terms of major changes that's about all we know. The "legion was meant to be a disguise killer" theory is only from people overblowing the teaser trailer.

I think that would be useful. If I'm being chased through the boon it could give me information on where to kite.
But also I think it should have gotten the speed increase at base without needing a totem already blessed.
Yeah, that'd be a nice bonus too.
Although it kinda seems like the extra blessing/cleansing speed seems like a bit of a bandaid they slapped on because the perk was lackluster.
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
Yeah i had similar suggestion when it was on PTB. But now it's dead perk because BHVR believed it's fine perk which never was
Yeah, it's a cool idea for a perk, but it needs something extra.

It's a map I have fun on as both sides. It's pretty close to perfect.
-
I agree with pretty much all of these, and I'd love to see them.
I'm not sure if Boons would need a global range increase, +2m would be nice though. I'd like to see the underperforming boons buffed individually.
Another perk that could use a number boost is Inner Focus, up the range from 32m to 128m. There's no reason to have such a restrictive range on an effect like that.

Thats very true but I’m unfamiliar as to what does different moderation rules have to do with end game chat? That does not seem to be an issue for every other game I play? Is it impossible for them to implement end game chat along with having different moderation rules?
I also barely respond to the hate messages I get and when I do it usually takes a couple of days and I be overly nice to them to confuse them, but I just love getting the messages anyways because i appreciate players feedbacks and communication
Impossible? No. A massive pain? Probably.
-
Each platform has seperate moderation rules. It also takes console players way longer to type a message on average.
-
Agreed.

Why people are complaing that they can’t use STBFL on trickster like????
Novody ever used this perk on him and why are you talking about him with STBFL???
He wasn't 115% until the patch before STBFL got nerfed. I saw a few STBFL Tricksters in that time.

There is an issue this is outside of your control. You kinda need survivor to not be good enough, otherwise they are able to run blinded.
Spirit fury will get you mostly same result, it's not hex and outcome is mostly up to you.
It doesn't really matter how good they are, there's always a chance they'll run into something they can't see if they're blind.
Two Can Play also works on every stun while it's up instead of having to charge after every time it's used, it also works on blinds and Head On.
-
Not really. Just proxy camp for it.
-
I think Garden of Joy should get an actual gameplay pass.
I genuinely don't know what they did when they "looked at it". The main building is still an infinite with a god pallet next to it and there's completely safe pallets within strolling distance of each other. Did they even touch the map at all?

They have better things to worry about i guess. Like buffing strong killers for no reason (Blight, Huntress). Survivors can wait.
When did they buff Blight exactly? They (rightly) reworked all of his problematic addons.

@[Deleted User] said:
They could change it to be map wide, and instead lets you open the Hatch without using a Key at 30/40/50% speed.
That's an idea, it might facilitate selfish play a little too much though since the escape is almost guaranteed.
What about a 10% (ish) generator speed boost for every dead survivor instead of being able to open the hatch yourself? It'd be kinda like the old iteration of the perk rolled into the new one, and might boost the perk's reputation while giving it a use outside of being the last standing (while still fitting the theme of the perk).

ever so slightly
that won't help, try like double increase and it won't be completely useless, but it will never be good.
I run it with Enduring and it's gotten me several downs because people walk into a wall or a tree and lose all of their distance. I wouldn't call it completely useless.

I would just make it work in 32 meter radius when the killer is nearby when not in a chase. the effect works for 90 seconds then disappears. that is what low profile is suppose to mean, right? be stealthy near the killer when not detected.
That would be too much imo.
-
I think it would end up being too annoying if it wasn't a Hex. Cleansing the Totem only gives them temporary respite anyway, it'll go back up eventually.
I think a better buff would be to increase the blind time ever so slightly.

@_Onyx_ said:
So basically you want it to do partially what Babysitter and Off The Record do all in one perk?
It's honestly fine as it is, it's a niche end game perk but in the situations where you actually get to use it you really feel the benefit of it. You can run around without worrying if the killer being able to track you. Making it so you can get a door open for free if played well enough.
I mean, you'd still get all of those benefits at the endgame as well. It's just to give it more uses outside of builds that leave everyone to die.

@fulltonon said:
I don't think range limitation is needed at all, to be honest.
128m is basically the entire map. It's what they use when they want distance to scale between perk tiers but want a perk to cover the entire map at the same time.
Discordance, Empathy and Wake Up all use 128m. I don't think I've ever seen a time where those perks aren't within distance to activate. Maybe Mother's Dwelling corner to corner was over 128m, but that map was shrunk.
-
It's got a lot of pallets but most of them are mindgameable. Kinda big but I had fun on it as Killer.
-
I like them, but the removal of the Intoxication effects is gonna suck. There's ways to keep it significant without making people want to puke when they play against him.
-
Domrebel is a design studio in Canada. It's a licensed collab I think.

We need more Leon moans, not less, thank you.

If you ask me they should replace the Jar of Salty Lips with a Pack of Gummy Lips that you can eat mid-trial.

I think you guys severely underestimate the usefulness of boons on certain maps,
boons for the most part arent great sure
but on maps like leerys and midwich it makes you game absolute HELL
and its not a free pentimento proc your destroying one of your other hex totems for said proc. i think its a completely fair trade off.
Free 60s of Exposed and free 30% gen slow down is not a fair trade off. The only hexes people would destroy are trap hexes.
If you're having this much trouble with Boons after the Circle nerf then that's a you problem I'm afraid.
-
Boons are not good enough, only one of them was ever amazing and it got nerfed. Also free Haunted and Pentimento procs are a terrible idea.
-
Sort of related but I got pallet stunned when summoning the Carnifex for an Order the other day.
This killer has a lot of weird jank and bugs.

I agree, but I think the idea of the Perk is that you're too close to comfort and you get away, it being 32 metres kinda defeats the idea of the Perk no?
Not really, 32m is still close to the killer, that's the average Terror Radius.
If it was mapwide then that might defeat the idea, but 32m is fine imo.
-
The range should be 32m. 16m is far too restrictive.
-
It needs both ideally.
The cooldown is the worst part though, and the fact that it has a chase requirement.
-
Half the time I see FTP + Buckle Up it never comes into play.
It's kinda overrated.

We could touch immovable pillars of DBD, that were once set as hard boundaries. I will try to violate two of the most important such rules in one Invocation, because thats what magick does, it doesn't care about the rules of reality and bends and breaks them at its whim.
"Invocation: Its Alive!" 120s, once this invocation is complete one dead survivor gets resurrected, but there is a price to pay: one already finished gen gets broken again and all gens on the map lose all progress.
As cool as that'd be, I'm not sure that'd work technically. What if the dead Survivor already left the game? They'd have to be replaced with a bot or something, and I'm not sure that'd be worth it.
-
I'm EU but I can SWF with people on the East Coast just fine. West Coast is straight up unplayable levels of ping though.

@Rulebreaker said:
While invocations are a workable idea, they really do need to be careful especially when everyone has different ideas of high reward and high cost.
Personally I want one that lights all the totems on the map with the boons I have equipped.
That's a really cool idea actually. I'd love to see that in game.
Invocations as a mechanic need some base tweaks though. They should take 90 seconds and not regress so fast (if at all) when cancelled. Getting caught by the killer in the basement is enough of a punishment, it shouldn't roll back all your progress on an invocation as well.
Weaving Spiders should probably be buffed to 20 charges as well.
-
It'd be a lot better if the addons weren't super underwhelming.
He has some good ones, but pretty much all of the status effect ones aren't good enough to justify running. I hope he gets some tweaks to his addons before live.
-
Isn't that essentially Alch Ring for Huntress?
-
Her...
-
They don't pay attention to kill rates on a PTB. Matchmaking is off and people frequently give up. The data would be useless. The PTB is to generate feedback, not statistics.
-
Perhaps Waterlogged Shoe could get a trap range increase as part of the addon? Make it the same as the Green Trap increase addon.
Then you have a free slot and a greater range at the same time.
-
It's either the result of an MK-Ultra esque experiment, an evil entity summoned by a cult or an alien.
Nobody knows for sure.
-
Yeah, I'd love this too. Maybe have it give a small bloodpoint bonus when active as well maybe?

He has the depth of a puddle. You can learn him to his full effectiveness in like 2 games tops.

A big part of the hatch changes were to prevent the whole survivor team from just using hatch to escape after completing a certain number of gens.
While I don't think the hatch mechanic is perfect in its current state (promoting slugging for the 4k), this isn't the change we need.
The most annoying part of Old Keys was when you were winning and two to three Survivors would just disappear. Full team hatch escapes were less common and less frustrating.
Having the hatch spawn when all of the Generators are done would require the Survivor to actually do a majority of their objectives first, and be in a position where they're winning.
Right now Keys are in a terrible state, you probably won't get use out of the actual item itself in 90%+ of your matches (addons are different as they add a whole new functionality).
I'd hoped people had more ideas to contribute as to improving the usability of the item, but oh well I guess.

What we need for 2024 is for overwhelming presence to be reworked into a s tier perk that’s overpowered
you can do it behaviour
God I'd love this.
There's so many bad perks that I'd love to see made at least half decent. Overwhelming Presence is high on the list.
It hasn't been touched since 2017! Same patch they made Killer vaults not take 3 seconds. That's wild to think about.

@KatsuhxP said:
I'd be okay with it, but just if it's like current keys only letting the person out using the key. So for all 4 escaping through hatch everyone would have to bring or find a key.
Yeah, that could be a decent idea. What if the Hatch opening time was increased when there's more than one Survivor left, but multiple survivors could escape?

Itd be interesting if a key hole was under the exit gate switch and if you put it in and turned it it acted like a toolbox but for the gate. But then again gate speeds are already fairly quick.
Maybe, you'd have to make it super fast to be worth it though.

I would only change the heat mechanic.
Just the chainsaw tapping shouldn't stop heat regression. It should stop After charging the chainsaw for 99% of the revving bar for instance.
It would mechanically both slightly nerf overdrive trigger time and make his heat related adds-ons useful.
You have to charge it a decent amount to start getting overdrive again. I don't think further nerfing that is necessary.
You can make the heat related addons useful by reworking them.

Detective's Hunch specifically states that it adds the things it reveals to a map. It's unique in that regard, other aura reading perks don't add to maps.

Pretty much exclusively on cosmetics.

And what does it even do?
That is a Claw Trap. They get attached to you when you're scanned by a Drone 3 times. Once it's attached, it'll take a health state, stop you from healing and constantly show you on the Skull Merchant's radar.
Getting scanned by a Drone again while you have a Claw Trap attached will reveal you with Killer Instinct and slow you down.
When the battery dies (i think it's like 45 seconds by default), it'll just detach by itself. There's no way to take it off early though.
-
That'd basically delete all of her chase power. Not a good idea.

You forgot that Blood Rush is also pretty strong, but I guess it's not very popular since it doesn't counter hard tunneling. Seems Renato is the only Tools of Torment character to get anything decent. But yeah, every other perk is uninteresting or not very strong.
Blood Rush is really situational. It's quite literally useless by itself and only really works alongside Sprint Burst. It needs a buff, but it's the trickest to buff out of the bunch.
It's also in the top 15 least used.
