I already read through the notes, Benedict Baker's Journal entries contain the Hallowed Blight's lore. Each day, different entry of his Journal would be released.

Check out the Wiki Article for the Hallowed Blight: https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/The_Hallowed_Blight

Wiki... It's made by fans. And I don't really remember official confirmation. What do you think, someone among devs can confirm it now, if we mention them here?

Benedict is not the Alchemist, he is the one whose diary entries were the lore pieces we were presented with in the 2018 Hallowed Blight Event belong to.

The Alchemist should be Vigo, this is implied by the 2019 Withered Blight event, even though this isn't confirmed.

    Say what?

Alchemist and 2018 notes author is literally the same person. And this person is not the Vigo. And it's not a Benedict either.

    Check this:

    2018:

    22 October - Wounded

I'm hiding in a dense strip of forest. I'm desperate to erase the distressful images engraved in my mind. Last night, a disfigured man barged into the laboratory with a gruesome, mechanical mouth and shred the walls into splinters. I barely escaped with my life—and wounded my arm in the process. I have no options left; these monsters find me no matter where I go. All I have is a journal filled with obscure promises of escape. I will return to the laboratory.

    24 October - Experiment III

awoke to a terrible cry booming from the cellar and a violent bout of nausea. Through the vile ordeal, I started to recollect what had happened. Tainted with the foul serum, my wound had swollen with lymph, at which point my assailant returned. Most of our fight was a blur, but I can recall red tears trickling down his gruesome cheeks as I clawed at his face. And some moment later when I kicked him, sending him crashing into a brick wall. The power I felt then… there are no words for it. I now know that there is truth to Vigo's methods. Another cry. My assailant, now chained in the cellar, must be getting restless. This is just the beginning.

    Archives:

    Memory 1747

He has flashes of The Doctor. His screams. His agony. Turning the tables on him. Experimenting on him like he had done with so many others. Where? Not here. Somewhere else. Another world. All of these… these… survivors… marooned from other… worlds... How does he know this? He doesn't remember… He remembers the experiments. What was he trying to understand? The nectar? The serum? The right dose? The right dose… to use without hurting himself. Too late.

  • @FichteHiro said:

The scene you're talking about stems from the 2018 Hallowed Blight Event, in which Benedict Baker was the one involved. He was going through the Alchemist's (Vigo's) Diary trying to find explanations. Vigo injected the Trapper with the Serum, which caused The Trapper to lose consciousness. Then, Vigo tied him down to further experiment on him. Benedict ended up finding Vigo's laboratory and experimenting on the Trapper himself.

We don't quite know what Killers and Survivors do outside of the Trials other than sitting at the Campfire. Maybe Vigo could catch The Trapper alone and inject him with the Putrid Serum?

    ######### are you saying?

Firstly, we don't have proof what Benedict Baker is an Alchemist.

Secondly, it's actually pretty clear, that notes from 2018 event belong to Alchemist. And Alchemist found Vigo's journal and then became obsessed with serum.

Alchemist was able to beat Trapper cause he was bitten by some rodent, injected with serum before.

  • Noone. It's freakin dumb.

Survivors hardly know each other. Not to mention, they trying to survive, not to ######### each other, unlike horror movie teens from 90s.

Like, seriously. Imagine you barely escaped psycho with chainsaw and arrived to campfire. Your hands are shaking, blood pulses inside your head, but you still alive. The only thing you want - or, better say, capable of - just sit and watch campfire. The same campfire, which you hate the most, as it's a symbolic reminder that you can't escape for real. You know exactly, that this campfire is fake, just like all your hopes, since you tried to burn your hand with it.

But, still, you can't stop watching it. You aren't bold enough to look away. If you look away, you might catch eyecontact with someone, who wasn't as lucky as you and couldn't escape chainsaw psycho. You can't help but wonder, is it your fault. Maybe you were able to save them?

You trying your best to help others. Not because you like them, or they like you. Simply because you want to remember that there is something human left in you. Because it's right thing to do, even if you never see them in the fog again. Like it usually happens.

But last time... You couldn't help. And this thought haunts you. Thought, that partially because of you someone was chainsawed in half.

  • When surv goes from 1-st to 2-nd stage on the hook there is a camera lock. Please, remove it, so I can tell my swf friends where the killer is, using my OoO while being hooked.

(I actually saw a guy posting this, lmao)

  • Added Lery's Memorial toolbox after 3.5.0 rework. Big thanks for help to @fluffymareep !

  • Добавил ящик в Мемориальном Институте Лэри после реворка.

  • The one thing I hate abour OOO is that icon lights up and surv still kmow that you coming even if you have undetectable.

  • Yeah, sensitivity really screws me over too... if only devs did something about it...

  • I'm not even saying that he is 110%. Not even saying that his gen pressure is awful. Not mentioning that he is worse version of Huntress. Don't really care that all his perks are situational asf.

The real problem I have with Deathslinger is... it's really hard to aim.

Hitboxes are pretty small. Add to this the fact that his gun shoot projectiles instead of hitscan. And for some reason sensitivity drops drastically when you aim, making it harder. And also, sometimes I got shots which should be on point from my POW, but, well, nope. Don't forget about limited range of chain.

I was looking for it in the new map. but then i realised that i dont know where it is in the Coldwin farm realm. Isnt there one in it or am i just blind that i dont see it posted here

There is NO golden toolbox on Coldwind farm. It's the only realm, which don't have it.

I have proof btw. Check 1:12

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pF4159PR9rY

    UPD

Turns out, there is a golden toolbox in Fractured Cowshed. Either we were bamboozled by Mathieu, or it was added later.

  • Its has to be. I looked for it on PTB, but no luck.

Paulie said on stream, that he met BHVR devs (at PAX I think). He talked with another guy and asked him, if he thinks that devs put golden toolbox on PTB. Cause, like, it's really hard to find. At the same time Matthieu laughed. He was nearby and there is a possibility, he heard that.

  • Just make a wall in dat nasty loop in Ironworks of misery.

You clearly don't understand the system, survivors need less marks to pip because all of their actions are spread between 4 people, thus making it harder to hit the goals you have to, vs the killer who is only competing with themselves to acquire points, it has to be this way.

Welp, killer versing 4 people and everyone of them could make the difference, so pipping for killer should be easier. Quick remind, killer emblems are opposite of survivors.

  • @Seanzu said:

This is good, killers need way more knowledge to play a match than survivors, especially if you're a killer that rotates, as all killer have different abilities, making it harder to pip as killer will keep you in lower ranked matches for longer, thus making sure you have more experience with the game when you do rank up.

    Makes perfect sense to me.

Whether you knowledgeable or not, you not gonna pip, until survivors make mistakes. Pip system don't make it easier either.

  • @CashelP14 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1144175#Comment_1144175

I think you missed my point. The point of pipping right now is only for two reasons, bragging rights and to face better players.

90% of red ranks at the minute are no better than green rank survivors. This is because the game is making it easy for them to rank up and now they are facing killers who will destroy them. If it wasn't so easy to rank up as survivor then killers would be facing more sweaty survivors at higher ranks.

On the flip side as killer your less likely to face a sweaty swf since it will take you longer to rank up. If there was rank rewards then I may agree with you but since their isn't I don't mind the current ranking system as killer.

You talking as if mathcmaking working perfect and SWF with green and red ranks don't exist. Welcome to reality: killers don't gain pip with 3k and being genrushed. Not to mention, some adepts are painful asf for literally no reason.

And yeah, my proposal is to make killer pip system easier, not survivor one harder.

  • @CashelP14 said:

I actually think in maybe trying to be survivor sided on this, it's actually killer sided. If it's easier to rank up as survivor, your more likely to face babies as killer at higher ranks.

Also if it takes more to pip as killer then your getting stuck with players who are probably worse than you.

How the hell it would be killer sided if killers literally have to put more efforts to pip? Survivor is already easy asf while Killer have to play like Olympic champion to pip.

  • I personally like Clown. Something incredibly funny about his laugh, when he laughs so hard it transforms into coughing xD

  • So, we know that coins got through rift from Terra Prime.

In first tome we learned that all survivors in trials were selected by Entity from worlds, which

failed to understand the metaphysical relationship between their thoughts and the world they live in.

Basically, they don't know that there is no spoon. Or, you can create spoon with power of your mind, like Observer does with his wiskey.

Maybe, coins came from Observer's homeland? I mean, you can assume from the name, that Terra prime is one of the oldest realms, and their residents definetly have knowledge, which mentioned by Observer.

  • Can we just appreciate Trapper buffs?

  • If you think about it, his eyes looks very weird... As if he blind or something.

  • Maybe he need this thing to stay steady and aim better?

  • Or maybe, atleast make it fair, so points for pips became even

    image.png

  • Yes, pls. It's painful asf, especially when it's like this.

  • Welp, I used Deathslinger Memento Mori animation to look through ceiling. You can't say that I have a lack of creativity. Tho, I have a lack of luck: looks like it's not there. Tho, those boards really look suspicious.

    image.png

Another thought I had, is that golden toolbox might be inside of some building. I looked inside with Nurse, and also found interesting way to clip through textures. But, well, it's not there either. Atleast as far as I can tell.

Maybe golden toolbox is conditioned with EGC again somehow, but, well... lack of luck.

  • Kate - boob physics, lmao

I think I found golden toolbox on the new map, but Iam not sure completely. This could be just a vision trick.

@McLean, @Almo can you please confirm that I got this right?

EDIT: Guess not, because last time I checked this place, there were no lights in the ceiling.

  • Feng: lol gg ez killer. Treats this like a game.... because it is. Not like that. Oh well: Laidback person that still gets scared really easily. In the future will be the toxic person. Oh and objective main and likes doing challenges

Totally disagree with those D.Va vibes. You can't really put Feng in one line with that careless gamer girl, cause she is opposite of it. Feng is the one who had her downs in the past. Life almost snapped her, as her fans and parents dissapointed in her. She meets new challenge with determination and will to fight, because to some point she tries to prove to herself, that she is still able to win and stay alive.

She don't get along with other survs cause of she mostly focused on her survival. Language barrier also plays it's part for certain extend. Tho, I can imagine she will get along with Yui (Yui is also asian and represents challenger archetype, which is a bit like Feng), Jake (also asian and loner as Feng) and maybe Jeff (guy had troubles with parents and didn't had real friends).

  • Iam russian and I literally have no idea how can you even select your favourite word. Well, I guess 'родители' (parents) would work.

TBagging isn't toxic but ok. The sooner you get over t-bagging and just ignore it the better you'll feel. I genuinely have no idea why DbD players specifically get so triggered over it. Why does it provoke such a reaction in some of you? (I'm asking a genuine question here and want to know because I don't get it, I just think t-bagging is funny and have never been mad about it happening to me)

Sure thing, bruh, I bet this guy who I t-bagged to death had fun. He was named "teabagg is life" after all.

  • Welp, too bad I don't feel the same. Maybe I left my conscience in another pants.

  • @Clevite said:

Did he teabag you first? Or just his name got you tilted?

Have to admit, I t-bagged first. Do you think it makes me toxic?

  • There is a theory that Wraith using a bell to travel to another plane of existence called Spirit world. Survivors also travel there during sacrifice. Entity appears from there to take survivors. You can see special effect in all of those actions: black-orange sparkles.

  • What about Huntress, Clown and Plague? How do you aim at 3d person without crosshair?

Dont take my no mither away !

It's a full counter to two ENTIRE killers and my best anti slug build.

Why you wanna take my no mither ?

Plague? Haha no heals no problem.

Oni ? No blood from me vampire, no power for youu.

This ######### sounds like "I can't break my arm if I chop it off with axe."

  • Killer: insidious. I saw how OhTofu tried to use it NOT for camping. Guess what, it has no other use.

Survivor: No Mither. I mean, is it even a perk?

  • When Oni kills survivors, he rage out during it.

    ...Got it?

  • The perk Whispers implies that Entity can speak. So, it have it's own thoughts, motives and mindset. That's too much for just a plant.

  • Myers is a big troll. I like to dig in lore of DbD and he literally don't have one. How he ended up in Entity's world? What about Steve and Nancy, who both know about Halloween franchise?

Well, maybe iam asking too much for guest character.

  • Ineer strength

Sometimes I go Autodidact + Empathy just for memes

  • So, there are real worlds, where survivors lived before they were kidnapped. In those worlds Macmillan Estate, Coldwind farm and other locations existed. We know that Entity creates copies of those realms in her world from survivor's and killer's memories.

I like to think, if in real world random guy wander around, for example Autohaven junkyard, he will be transfered into Entity's world. After this, he will end up in trial without even realising it.

This theory based on Benedict journal. As we know, Benedict searched for missing people in Macmillan Estate. After he came inside, he ended up in Entity's world.

  • I always had theory that Entity is able to kidnap survivors from original locations to it's own created copies of these locations. So, bypasser didn't catch difference at first, but then he realised that he in trial.

  • Tips for new survs? Let's see...

I'd say, firstly prepare your build. Check out exhaustion perks, most survs use one of them:

Adrenaline and Sprintburst (both belong to Meg), Dead Hard (David King), Lithe (Feng Min), Balanced Landing (Nea), Head On (Jane Romero).

Try creating builds, which have synergy between perks. For example, Lithe+Dance with me(that's teachable from Kate).

Another thing you can try, is to make build, which have perks for different styles. Kinda jack of all trades. Either way, it's worth to check all perks.

Know your enemy. Try figure out some tactics for every killer and how to counterplay him. Worth to check all killer perks as well. When you understand killer perks, you can scout knowledge about killer loadout, making your counterplay more effective.

Know the maps. Maps in DbD are generated with tiles - squares with different elements and constructions. Every map have main structure, which spawns always at the same place (Thompson's house, Myers's house e t c). Other elements worth checking are jungle gyms, TL walls and killer shack. Iam not gonna explain all of them, just gonna give you names, so you can google them.

Knowing these structures are important for maximizing time, which you can waste from killer by looping around (running in circles as long as possible). Guides will help you.

Also, last thing I'll say that there are mindgamable and unmindgamable pallets. Or, simply put, unsafe and safe pallets. Safe(unmindgamable) are ones, which forces killer walk way too big circle to catch survivor while he vaults over dropped pallet. Unsafe are opposite. As surv you want to stay at safe dropped pallets and abandon unsafe asap. As killer you want to break safe pallets and trick survs to hit them at unsafe ones. Jungle gym and killer shack have safe pallets.

  • I call bullshit. Entity is the one who created trials and instill rules.
