No bedham?!?!
Oh man, sounds like the Switch version is the best version of the game then lol.

SC+BK is pretty solid regardless of rank.
SC on its own is almost half a gen's worth of time standing still.

How much does The Clown pay you guys?!

I get this message in either role - I've verified the files and they are in order...
Anyone else getting this?

This would make the addon completly useless on indoor map and for casuals.
Everyone keeps saying the game isnt competive, so why should you add something casuals wont archiv?
Where are all the people complaining about Deathslinger's similar add-ons?
The change I proposed still allows for Hatchet increases in addition to the IH.
In all seriousness, though, if you're implying that most players, casual or not either aren't going to charge a hatchet at that distance or won't be able to hit it (it's not a feat on either side of the skill line - it's literally about the range that survivors have decent chance to guess/dodge...it's still inside her terror radius), you either don't play much Huntress or do not play much Dead by Daylight.
-
@Zeus said:
It can be abused and players will start to block people who outplay them until they get weak opponents.
The OP's subsequent replies pretty much demonstrate your point / why actually blacklisting players is a terrible idea.
-
The hatchet no longer instant downs unless fully charged and a hit is scored from at least 16m away.
-
@RyRapsYT said:
No. BT needs a buff. It should not be terror radius, it should be anytime
Free safe unhooks would be very bad for the game, its ranking system (including mmr, I'd imagine), and have zero counterplay.
What would you give killers to compensate for the zero counterplay/ability to safely unhook whenever you want?
-
BT is fine as it is.
You can wait out the protection hit if you want to attempt to punish it, hit the person and force them to waste mend + travel time to mend while you then chase the rescuer, ignore the unhooked survivor completely, play stealth killers/perks, etc.
Regardless of how much it may suck to have your blow absorbed by the unhooked person, BT still had its activation conditions met and is still being used in a defensive manner.
It can be problematic end game, similar to DS, but it's not unbearable or broken.
Additionally, once it's used once, you know that particular survivor is running it and can adjust your play accordingly or prioritize that target.

Reminder that Last Second Switching is still a thing and blows out the integrity of matches, especially if you're locked into a killer with minimal perks/add-ons.
Now that MMR is coming back, looks like last second switching is a permanent 'feature.'

I am of two minds on this.
One one hand, folks are kinda taking it off topic with memes and it borders the line of bullying the person....
.......on the other hand OP is straight up insulting and passively aggressively attacking people just for playing a killer and with a nonsense reason behind it at that. (And no intention of actually discussing or hearing anyone's opinion but their own making the thread pointless anyways)
Moderation can be tough, that's all I am saying about that lol.
I would not doubt that the gameplan is to sow dissent, mark people for moderation, and laugh at the bans...given how these topics seem to be turning out.
-
Perks on both sides seem interesting to me.
The killer's base power needs some SERIOUS work, as it's boring/unrewarding for both sides in its current state.
-
Probably not worth getting if you're only that far in.
For the Red Glyph challenges, I usually pick Wraith and search for it before interacting with anyone/doing anything else.
-
2nd chance perks are a hot topic because they mitigate survivor failure.
Killers have plenty of perks that do the killer equivalent in terms of winning chases faster, stalling end game, stalling gens, dealing with pallets, and even just finding Survivors.
As someone previously mentioned, the roles and objectives are completely different. This is why the "second chance" perks for killer are all so radically different, even when compared to each other.
If you expect similarly styled perks for both roles when their objectives are so different, you're misunderstanding the design and intent of the whole game.

Yeah but you're the same person who runs Moris and tunnels streamers out the game just because you've a few bad experiences with them. Imagine hating an entire group of people and treating them differently just because they're different from you. Sounds like someone from the history books👀
Reading this leads me to believe that Stretch Armstrong and a Reach toothbrush have had a child.

Did the game crash or freeze?
There is a hack where you can freeze a killer's game, it's probably the most obnoxious one. You see people do it and then start using animation hacks and such to make it look like they are humping the killer and such after as well.

The new chapters are meant to be fun for survivors. Stop being entitled killer main, we have enough OP killers in the game with Spirit, nurse, freddy, deathslinger, pyramid, leatherface, huntress, and now soon wraith as well, we don't need anymore.

It doesn't take long to notice the elephant of all perks on either side: BBQ. A pay-to-win perk on a licensed DLC. Used on every killer for the tremendous advantage and value. This perk is literally spammed in every game. It should be a HEX perk or nerfed to lose the aura reading.
BBQ was released when survivors were much stronger along with maps. Maps were also easier to hide. Survivor perks are always nerfed only when considered being used on a good SWF. The same logic and fair balancing should apply to killers. To beat a good killer you must work on gens for every second possible. You cannot spend your entire match looking and hiding in lockers because the killer will have a huge upper hand as this is the only counterplay provided to stop the aura. He most likely has Ruin so the gen is losing progress when you leave it. Too much advantage for a perk.
There is another reason why being a HEX would be an excellent change to BBQ. A killer that camps can still be awarded BBQ stacks if he uses NOED or when saves occur. He is awarded for the thing the perk was originally designed to prevent in the first place! If the perk is a HEX perk the killer will be in a race to hook as many different survivors as possible before the totem is destroyed. This will create pressure on the killer to guard totems, gens, and hook survivors in the process instead of camping and being awarded for it with a perk.
If it is not a HEX perk it needs to lose the aura reading because it gives too much value for one perk alone. This perk has been overpowered and abused by high mobility killers way too long.
Here you go, OP :)

Not really enduring is a soft counter and you need to get to the pallet to use it unlike dead head where e to achieve destination
Enduring or not, you're still stuck on the opposite side of the pallet, requiring a break or movement to mitigate.
DH will probably still be king, but it'll be very interesting to see this park's usage in the coming days.
-
People are really missing the fact that a healthy survivor can force it whenever they want (about to lose loop) by standing on the outside of a pallet vs any M1 killer.
Additionally, people saying you can do the same thing with Lithe are really missing the picture / applicable scenarios.
-
@TheArbiter said:
Early game, and depending on how good your teammates are at conserving pallets, it is a pretty much free escape from chase, late game when there are non left i'd rather have sprint burst or dead hard
You can also force it to get to a fairly distant loop/map area (killer swings / takes stun / may or may not break pallet) where it's not worth it to chase you without wasting too much time in chase / away from gens. Assuming the survivor gets healed before their next encounter, they could just do it again until the killer commits - Probably not too crazy with one player, but if it's a team-wide strategy, it could be a very serious time waster.
This is just theory-craft, though.

Last game I had that was streamed was vs this guy and his friends.
I'm by no means a Myers main and was very shrekked (late Saturday for me).
Checked the stream after and everyone was pretty nice/chill - Had a wholesome conversation and left.
The experience has made me re-evaluate some of my previous TTV stereotypes.

"Game is trash!"
*looks at xK hours*
*logs back in for 5 more hours*
"Trash!"
Although it still has issues, it's my most played PC game.
I think the score is justified, given the game's history, theme, mechanics.
The game's success has also inspired other companies to try similar/varied takes on the genre, to varying degrees of success.
I'm also a fan, personally, of the dev presence on the forums - Regardless of whether you agree/disagree with their actions, they're still here, seeing information/complaints/ideas/etc from the community, firsthand.
-
I'm totally gonna expect a 4k in my next game.
Just got a good feeling, you know?

A few days ago, I was farming as Legion with the last two survivors after their teammates DC'd, and I idly remembered the tech when getting blinded at a pallet. So I decided to try the tech. It still works, laughs were had all around the end chat campfire.
Indeed.

I greed everything. Not always the best choice, I just find it more fun. If I die from 3 hooks in a match chances are I only used 1 or 2 pallets at most. I try to save everything.
Especially if it's a god pallet like shack. I'll go down before I throw that.
Sometimes, I'm just a 'tool' for the entire game.
I'll drop pallets whenever I want, stop healing people if they move part way through the heal, bring that NOED killer to you so that I can escape, take Hatch over a rescue, etc.
Other times, I'll be very stingy with pallets, chase people down to heal them super fast, take unnecessary hits for people, etc.
My friends that watch me are amused - they say it's like watching two different people play at times and keeps things fresh.
-
Demo or Pig - Seriously
They're both super fun to play and have interesting kits.

Probably won't be able to catch up to the goal posts at their current velocity.

Always a solid time when the community gets a little bit better and safer :)

@Sluzzy said:
It's unhealthy for so many reasons to list. Less will use decisive strike because it feels like a handicap to use it so killers will get a free pass to tunnel. Those that have it equipped will feel restrained and not doing objectives so killers will win even more games more easily. For the Claudette that thinks she is safe or tries to heal, the killer gets a free pass to tunnel again. And killers can still avoid it by slugging when they do tunnel. The devs asked killers what they wanted DS to be from its former self and they put it in the game the way killers wanted it. It should have been buffed instead of nerfed.
OMG
I know!
I was self-caring in the corner 20s after being unhooked and the killer came back when I was 31 seconds into my heal!
That's only 51 seconds, so I let him down me, hit that TREMENDOUSLY difficult skill check, and got away.
Filthy tunnelers!
Totally not fair that I didn't get my health state :(
-
Having three people that each take three hits to down swarming every hook while using BT on the hooked person seems very fair and balanced.

and we are back to saying nothing at all and pretending it somehow matters...
let me just repeat until you understand
DC penalty exists.
there is no penalty for lobby dodging.
DC ruins the match for 4 people
lobby dodging only delays a match for at max 10 seconds
DC wastes several minutes of everyone involved.
lobby dodging does not
you should stop adding extra things, it's not helping you. killer being afk is punisheable aswell
You're better off saving your keystrokes.

What you didn't understand about the game is this point :
- actually you need skill to win a trial
This game was made to be competitive and because cry babies killer mains, it's now a casual game and we always see the same killers, again and again.
If you can't get 2k+ giving good chase and map control with Demogorgon or Trapper then you are a terrible killer player, period.
Killer mains that rely on Freddy, Stridor Spirit or Hag to get wins and rank up are just noobs. That's why we meet so many red rank killers that are terribles with any other killers, it's because they are bad, not because the game is unbalanced.
It's the same for survivors, most of them are boosted to red ranks...
Seems factual and unbiased.
-
Hoarder was a pretty fun perk, in theory, until they were unable to actually implement it (which I'd assume would have been play tested wayyyy before PTB came around, but here we are).

I'd agree with you. But lately, it seems like if one person brings in any item (even a map), you get hit with Franklin's. I've straight up stopped bringing in items and offerings because I don't want them to be wasted. If I leave with an item I find, it's a trophy and nothing else.
I've never needed items to succeed, either, but I must admit, the Appraisal Build I posted was surprisingly nutty in how often it changed the game and, on occasion, allowed for free escapes.
As you have no item in the lobby with this build, you never get hit with FD :)

@Shaped said:
Why not just use medkits instead of sc and bk?
I will still use ds because I don't want to farmed and rehooked.
My other builds are
DS/UB/Soul Guard/Lithe (or DH) with a med kit on Bunny Feng
Hunch/Inner/QQ/Head-On on Ice Cream Steve
Appraisal/AitH/Plunder's/Lithe on Blendette
The OP build I posted is just an easy/casual build that allows for easy pips.
