His last paragraph said it all. He'd prefer to play a game that pits 4 people against ai, where there is no chance of it ever getting any more difficult.
But hey...that game will NEVER have nerfs or balance changes....according to the salt fueled time machine, anyway.
Complaining about DLC being changed in a live game is about as far away from rational as you can get in terms of gaming.
Gotta say, though, I was waiting a while for their "survivor bubble" to pop, and I guess DS was what did it - it was an amusing read, at least.

Watching this Demo guy commit forum sudoku is a pretty wild ride.

Only 5% hit rank 5 as killer? I'm confused. Why is that number so low? I thought everyone was red rank these days
How many % got Rank 1 as killer according to steam ?
The achievement stats are meaningless - There was a week last year where it randomly gave people every rank achievement after a few games.

First off I have to mention that at least in my eyes gg doesnt have the same meaning as good game. For me gg is a decent game.
- If you win at 3-5 gens with 3-4 people dying it isnt a gg.
- If you slug to get 4th person without knowing where that person is not a gg ( except for achievements).
- If you constantly slug at 5 gens not a gg regardless of how many people escape.
- If you bring a mori not a gg regardless of how many people escape.
- If you camp/tunnel for no reason not a gg.
- If you use spirit with stridor not a gg literally uncounterable vs a good spirit.
- Probably few more ...
*killer loads into your match*
Not a gg .

lmao "forum gamers" got to you. Point was that you will fall asleep against Freddy and there's nothing that can be done about it.
"He's like the NOED of killers - You can negate his lullaby and snares/pallets (leaving him with just a slow cooldown TP if everyone stays awake), but why bother when you can just launch a nerf campaign?"
You said he's like NOED and that his power can be negated by just waking up. You can't constantly wake up and you aren't going to be such a god gamer that you wake up at the perfect time and negate his snares often. You're right tho. Simply don't ever get hit by the Freddy and constantly find teammates that are awake or wake up with clocks. It's just that easy.
Golly!
You got 'em!
And this was even before Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer Freddy was a thing!
Admittedly, though, all those 60s Pops were really tearing up the game back then.
But yeah, you roasted that post from a year ago! Absolutely destroyed!

Took 10 months for someone to tell you that you’ll be asleep more than awake while playing against Freddy? Forum gamers
Another excellent contribution!
I believe further put downs and generalizations will really hammer home your superiority :3

I pretty much always give the last surv hatch unless I'm going for adept or they were toxic.
I usually give it to whoever is left, as well.
I've never had anyone tell me post chat that I gave the hatch to the wrong player or anything.
Usually, everyone's pretty happy that someone got some extra points :)

1. the fact of lacking importance: 2. the quality of complaining or getting…

I can see a lot of survivors killing themselves end game and lots of hatch giving if they base it off kills/escapes.
It's pretty depressing that the metrics are being hidden - it's not like they'll remain private knowledge forever.

I can think of nothing more boring in this game than being stuck in a high MMR.

Survivor Perk:
Resentment
You resent and despise anyone who hurts your friends, causing a boost in strength from anger.
Gain one token for each survivor sacrificed, after gaining 3/2/1 tokens, the perk activates.
While active, stunning a killer with a pallet will slam them through the ground, tripling the stun duration and will consume all tokens.
The pic above is just the reworked DS in action - I think it leaked to live!

What is the first thing you do when you start a new match?
As a survivor I usually jump on a generator. I always wonder what the other players are doing first, since I often see them just run by generators like they have a separate agenda.
Push M1 on the first thing I can push M1 on.
-
Remove Perk Tiers - All perks now have their Tier 3 effects by default
Each Bloodweb randomly awards 1 perk upon completion
Each Prestige Level adds +1 to the amount of perks awarded to lessen the grind for a character you've already leveled
(Dunno if this would be too crazy, but maybe have Pink Items/Offerings/Add-Ons replace the perk locations in bloodwebs and function the same way in terms of Entity consumption)
-
The killer trying to kill you is not toxic, tunneling or not.
Try playing the game without any magical rules, expectations, or sense of entitlement - You'll probably have a chiller time, regardless of what happens.
-
I'd rather it take a protection hit, a full heal, and Safe Rescue to activate.
Doing all three actions in a single game certainly "proves your mettle."

Only 10-15 4k's?
I hit a smooth 1000 in a row the first time I tried spirit.
Now, I gotta say, only 800 of them were against SWF (and only 600 of those had keys - I got lucky 5 sure).
All Rank 1, too.
Switched to EU servers so I would have a bit of a challenge, but I was sorely disappointed.
-
The metas for both sides are so 'set,' now, that the game is starting to become stale while simultaneously losing its horror appeal as a result.
More and more people are getting to "the stale point," but DBD's equivalent of Operation Health is always going to be a pipe dream :(

Victor disappears if you down a survivor with him on his back (reappearing back on Charlotte). If a survivor has Victor on their back, they cannot escape. Along with that, if you down someone with Victor on their back right at the gate, the gate won't let the survivor actually leave for a few seconds so if you grab them immediately, you can still grab a survivor and hook them.
Thanks :3

Can't blame you. This game can be infuriating sometimes. I'm definitely guilty of making at least 1 or 2 threads out of anger after a tilting game after I first signed up.
Over time you'll learn to not take it so seriously. I began to look at it this way.
When I play a match, its not like I've "bought in" like I'm playing a card table game or anything. So why get angry if I get outplayed? I'm not losing anything but a short amount of time and its not going to go on record anywhere. At the most I've lost an item that I can regain from just playing. Now I just try to take it easy when I play.
Not caring makes this game 1000x better.

I was hoping the with them remaking the item model/textures they would make a visibly difference between a broken key and a working key.
Should have had a broken key hanging off a chain or something. It seems like nowadays people sometimes bring a broken key to troll the killer into wasting a perk slot on Franklins or bringing a mori.
I dunno if dropping a perk for FD on account of one key is a good idea.
Maybe if they bring a key + another item.
The new map offerings that change hatch spawn also offer some interesting gameplay options if someone brings a key, as you can try to keep gens active near the new area to try and prevent a single (or multiple) hatch escape(s).
You can combine this offering with FD to puppy guard a key near the hatch spawn area if the game is going ok.
Not ideal, but it's a less boring option than tunneling someone with a key.
-
The change seems to have been made to keep the ratio of cleanses to hex perks the same (as per past intentions).
IE Current Undying can result in 5 cleanses for bringing 2 hex perks.
New Undying guarantees that bringing 2 hex perks results in exactly 2 cleanses.
While it's a direct nerf to the Ruin combo, I think the utility with token based hex perks is neat.
-
@gibblywibblywoo said:
There's something poetic about a users first post having "#stopbullyingkillers" with a Franklins Demise perk icon.
That said I agree with you OP. I'm surprised its been a thing for such a long time that I just see it as part of the game at this point. Thankfully items are a lot weaker than they used to be outside of medkits. You can still outwit flashlights pretty easily and toolboxes are nerfed pretty substantially.
At least it won't be as egregious in certain scenarios once keys are nerfed (depending on what the nerf is).

'You' as in the general player, not someone specifically. I said 'you' in my first reply to this topic and somehow you took that as an attack on you specifically? What?
"If you take everything as an attack/disadvantage and act like a little baby because of it, I'd say the problem is your mindset, not the survivor's problem for taking advantage of how the lobby works."
"If its that important and pisses you off to the point of d/cing, to get one over the survivor(s) who do this, then keep doing it. Your mindset is part of the problem."
Please tell me you're not that self deluded to think I'm talking about you, specifically, Raccoon. Stop nitpicking. This isn't about you specifically.
I never once said I don't think its unbalanced or that I don't care about the integrity, that was you who decided to attribute that b/c you disagree with my opinion. You can disagree all you want, but if you attack my opinion and condescend while also assuming this, don't be surprised that the person defends their opinion.
Given that you were quoting and replying to me directly while continuing the conversation for several posts afterwards, you'll have to pardon my delusion.
I'm terribly sorry.

Well you seem to have a problem with my take and want to condescend while assuming, so I figured I could do the same, yea? See how that works? Don't come at me and I won't either. This coming from the guy w/ 3.750k posts and has to defend every point religiously? Man the unawareness of yourself is astounding, bravo.
You're writing paragraphs about me leaving games, which are factually incorrect and irrelevant to the points being discussed - Of course I'd comment on them.
"Your mindset is part of the problem"
The mindset that attributes to the non-existent behavior you're ascribing to me?
Solid reasoning.
Personally, and of course this is just my crazy opinion, I think that most people that care about the game's balance and integrity don't consistently perform behaviors that undermine both.

Yea cause your judgement is always valid, right. You're the one upset, not me. Stop deflecting.
I could care less if you want to d/c over this. If its that important and pisses you off to the point of d/cing, to get one over the survivor(s) who do this, then keep doing it. Your mindset is part of the problem. Good killers and people who are confident in their skills, don't let things like this stop them from playing, will play the match out.
Never said I don't care about the integrity or balance of the game, although if that helps your 'internal narrative', I suppose roll with it.
I don't recall stating that I, personally, leave matches for this reason, though based on your replies in this and previous topics, it's fairly obvious why you'd have such a combative mindset.
-
@Volcz said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1874182#Comment_1874182
Don't get so triggered, bud.
If you're good and confident, you'll play the match out and still perform well. If you take everything as an attack/disadvantage and act like a little baby because of it, I'd say the problem is your mindset, not the survivor's problem for taking advantage of how the lobby works.
Again, if you want to have a temper tantrum and leave the game b/c of something like that, go ahead.
Until they change it (which I doubt they will), it will continue to happen, not just by me but a lot of other survivors. If thats all it takes for you to throw a hissy fit and d/c, not on me.
Judging from your language, you seem to be upset.
No idea why you're talking about me leaving the game, though I suppose it helps your internal narrative.
That was quite the diatribe from someone that doesn't care about the balance and integrity of the game.

I do this and I don't feel bad. I'm a solo que player 100% of the time.
If something like changing items at the last 10 seconds upsets you to the point that you quit the game, go ahead. 'I'll just make them waste time and get back into their 10-20m que'. Well its more like 3-7m (at least for me at red rank) and I don't mind it at all. Not like I lose my item. I think killers that do this think they're getting one off on the survivors, but its never been an issue for me and I just que right back up.
I'll keep doing this and killers who suck/can't play around it, will continue to d/c in loading screens. Its fine. Keep doin you, pal.
Sucks that killers can't play around an unintended exploit to gain the upper hand.
Reminds me of all those killers that couldn't play around having their killer choice exposed before the game even began a while back.
Silly killers.
Props on giving everyone a valid reason to disregard anything you say in the future, though - It's always nice to have an early warning.
-
I've beaten this to death in a bunch of topics....
It should be changed, but the devs refuse to even acknowledge the issue.
They literally do not care.

This is a great change, considering the recent changes to Thana.

'As a killer main, I've never once had an issue with DS. Why? Because i'd rather lose knowing I refused to tunnel someone.'
Seems a little elitist. 'My rule book doesn't let me experience something you all obviously do.'
There are absolutely scenarios where tunneling / camping are the correct / necessary plays if you're going for a 4K.
DS and BT are meant to mitigate these.
OP's unwillingness to make the correct play in these scenarios is just putting a hard cap on their skill level.
-
The Undying rework was probably done so that if a killer brings two hex perks, only two hexes have to be cleansed.
This keeps the hex:cleansing ratio at 1:1

No doubt about it.

I mean you're missing the point, but ok.
So then re-que if you're aware enough and realize 'maybe this killer isn't going to deal with this situation the best' or you just don't want to deal with SWF gen-rushing.
This guy had absolutely no awareness prior to the match, or even during the match. He could have prevented this game from being 2m 26, he played badly and got penalized for it, then decided it couldn't have been his fault and made a thread here.
Yeah, for sure.
He played badly because the game became unwinnable less than a minute in.

Its entirely acceptable. He saw 4 survivors in lobby with toolboxes. If you saw that, would you go Trapper or Freddy? That should have been a HUGE clue to this killer that they were SWF and planning to gen-rush, he did not pick up on it. He teleported once and that was only near the final gens being done. And then posts the thread b/c he feels this shouldn't be allowed. The first gen done was at 0:25 mark in the video. No alarms went off in this guy's head. The second gen done came at 0:51 mark in the video. Still laughing, still joking around with his chat, not realizing the situation, still tunneling the injured Claudette. And then people defend him by saying, he's a great killer main and has 4400+ hours in the game, a 2m26 second game is still ridiculous. Yea well that doesn't mean anything when the guy has no situational awareness.
He tunneled 1 survivor for 3 gens, realized too late what happened, lost, and then made a thread about it trying to point fingers and say this is ridiculous. Nah.
" If you saw that, would you go Trapper or Freddy?"
You'd go with whatever killer you're locked into because you can't change in the lobby.
-
-
Requires hooking multiple survivors, leaving the hook, and winning chases to activate?
Seems like a very fair perk from a survivor perspective.

Get shrekked or get wrecked @_@

Self-Care + Botany is not a terrible combo.
