Tbh the only problem I have with green glyphs is that everyone can them. I got 2 in 3 games bc everyone was stealing them (when i was the one doing the gens to make them spawn of course) before i gave up. Even if it's not your teammates stealing them the killer can stop you from taking it, it's kind of a pain lol.
I'll just wait a week or two so everyone is done with it and i can do it easily, it's what i did last time and it wasn't frustrating at all.
I've never encountered another glyph hunter...yet....

If I get the itch to play tombstone piece myers or just do gens and leave, guess I can't do that because I am ruining the event.
By using what is given to me in the game I am ruining everything.
I've already got my cloud ID filled into the report form.
Let's hope we don't cross paths.

When I say “take control of the match” I mean “kill one or two survivors.”
Ah, I agree, then!
Appreciate the clarification!

Yall complaining about the silliest things. I just do it with Wraith. Take control of the match, then circle at 150% looking for green glyphs. Cake walk and lots of bonus BPs.
You need to have a certain number of hooks for x amount of glyphs to spawn.
I use Wraith for the other glyph challenges, which tanks my mmr if I just meme after - it's why I gave that reply to @TheShapesMixtape

This community is hilarious and the entitlement of it.
I can't believe they had the gall...the absolute nerve to run a Mori.
I'm almost tempted to tag a dev in here and see if we can excise this scum, somehow.
Not cool.

Like the ones where I said bodyblocking with BT is fine, provided easy counterplay, and said that BT is a fine perk/not worth getting upset over?
Dooooo go on.
Maybe it's because I don't really get angry at my video games, but I do enjoy playing the forums minigame.

Another dastardly killer!
You sure do have rotten luck!

That's not going to be very hard for me to complete.

You get bloodpoints from it. I've seen a dredge get 54k because of green glyphs. So, it's a very rewarding challenge, and easy. And imo most challenges aren't really fun anyways so... what challenge would you rather do?
Any non glyph challenge on that page.
-
I'm interested to see how they handle the proposed icon implementation.
My primary concern is that if you know whenever someone is in a chase, stealth killer/stealth perk users will be lose some of their viability (IE you'll know when jumpscare Myers is chasing someone so you don’t need to pay attention / you'll know when the Discordance person is in a chase / etc).

I— - can’t say I disagree.
I’ve started playing Evil Dead lately and I am so happy there is no post chat in that game. You can tell a difference.
I think it’s the devs’ move at this point. The ball is on their court if they want to see players have a better experience. The game currently is full of RNG, whether it’s map design being against killer or survivors, whether it’s survivors wanting to play with non-meta perks only to be subjected to being camped and tunneled, whether it’s killer being subjected to false accusations… we could go on.
The game has the potential to be fun, and it makes me angry that we don’t have that. I know there is no simple answer or solutions and there are many hours and players who genuinely just want to have a good time. The devs should re-work the game from this perspective… that EVERYONE wants to have a fun and interactive game. Winning is absolutely fun, but much of the matches you win in DBD have some type of RNG attached to them followed by players cheesing the match via perks or in-game playstyles.
I remember I used to have more matches in the past where I was losing but I was still having fun, now not so much.
Glad you're enjoying Evil Dead!

I literally do whatever I feel like in the moment, on either side.

I love green glyphs, they give a poopton of BP and aren't all that annoying as you can chip away at it.
Blood Debt and that frigging No Mither one...urgh.
I only got to the No Mither one, recently....Got it in two, thanks to a Dredge that I came to a nodding agreement with/let hook me 2x instantly.

This. I just said this to myself 30 mins ago. They’re all easy but time consuming. I’m starting to see a trend with these Tomes/Rifts lately.
I'd like to see them all go, tbh.
Glyphs went from a novel idea to sigh some time ago for me.

It's very eazzzzzzzzzzzy - just a grind w/o any fun factor :(

Flantastic news.
I look forward to joining you in this BP flantasy.
Together, we flan all have some tasty fun.

What happens tomorrow?
-
There are a lot of nuances and even scummy self-preservation tactics required for solo play that a lot of players aren't even considering/are completely unaware of.
-
@bm33 said:
I don't question it simply because people will find a reason to camp. I more so question the survivors that don't focus on gens when someone is giving them time by staying on the hook getting 0 BP or pips while their teammates do nothing to progress the game and instead give the killer an easy 3/4k.
It's pretty amusing to see people wrack their brains wondering why someone camped as if some sort of justification is needed for player agency.
-
Sorry, I'm gonna can that flan for later.

Oh sorry. DCing and taking penalities just isn't a viable option for me. So camping on something as horrible as RPD is the way to go
Understandable.
It's something everyone should strive to avoid.
Some people are just more resilient.

No because when you play killer enough you understand how easy and cheap it feels, so I don’t necessarily question people who aren’t skilled enough that they feel they have to use that strat.

Yeap. That's me. ######### RPD. Garden of pain is quickly going that way too. Especially since BHVR just patched out a way to save both sides frustration
Most people would rather sit on YouTube/play something else if their DC timer gets too high than play those maps.
It's very negative, but true :(
-
You're very fortunate that they did not camp from Hook 1 on RPD.
Most times I load in there, it's either an instant disconnect from the killer/a teammate or camping from Hook 1.
-
I'm kind of surprised that so many people are upset with BT bodyblocking.
I play both sides and, under most circumstances/against decent killers, it's a throw/ticket to Tunnel Town.

It's just a general thing that always happens around endgame when all I can do is camp the sole survivor I hooked since there's nothing else for me to do. It's also the reason why I started bringing STBFL and Rancor to absolutely deter save attempts during that phase of the game. I only play m1 killers, by the way.
STBFL definitely helps, as do perks like Rancor and NOED.
Most M1 killers also have slight nuances that can help in the situation, especially in tandem with the above perks.

It's not a misplay, it's 2-3 healthy survivors swarming a hook to secure a guaranteed unhook just to shortly after trigger Dead Hard the second you try to follow up with another hit. The sheer audacity in all of this is the unhooked survivor bodyblocking you while you're trying to establish a hook-trade.
What killer/perks are you using?
Your statement has me curious.
-
That's OK.
I'll grab it on sale T_T
-
It would also be cool if I didn't know The Quarry had werewolves before playing the game :(
-
@Canas said:
No, it's not fine. It's basically one perk protecting two people at once, that's too much power. Survivors at high level of play will repeatedly abuse the perk with this advantage in mind, you're basically without a chance as a m1 killer. Especially during endgame when they're running off to the exit gate.
If you are experiencing this in all of your games, you're not playing mean enough to disincentivize it.
Generally, if someone tries it in my games, they're dead and the rest of the team knows better than to try it on the next rescue.
Allowing a hook save in endgame (without the guarantee of another down) is a misplay in and of itself.

Yeah and then they get mad, when you call their bluff and capitalize on it.
I don't personally care about their feelings or egos.
My chat is off...I'm playing the game with complete immunity from vitriol and idiocy.
-
@Tsulan said:
Survivors: we feel forced to use BT, because killers only camp.
Also survivors: i gonna body block you after getting unhooked, so you can´t touch the other survivor!
BT is fair in this regard, imo.
You can use it to bodyblock at the risk of the killer not taking the bait and downing you.
At that point, you're down a hook state or losing DS for nothing.
It's certainly not a free action against decent killers.

That’s what we kept trying to tell him.
“sometimes that’s all they got” and so on.
Yet he kept loosing his mind over it.
You don't need to justify your perks, play style, etc to anyone else in the game, regardless of what side you play.
Wasting time typing to a brick wall that's not going to care about your reasoning is a futile endeavor.
-
@Mazoobi said:
This is probably a hot take, but I don't think body blocking with BT is a wrong thing.
I can see why killers are annoyed with it, but isn't teamwork asked from the community? BT is one of the best perks for this because it gives a unique effect that isn't an "increase X effect".
If I'm a survivor and I notice the killer is hard camping every hook and always there when the unhook happens, I'm not going to let you get a free hook again because you wanted to sit next to me for the past 40 seconds.
It's the smartest move from the survivors in that situation because it minimizes the lethality that the killer can do. Hell, if players are exposed in any way, body blocking with BT is a smart play.
As many players have said, you'll go ahead and tunnel the body-blocker. Go ahead. I'm not discouraging you, but it seems like people are forgetting that body-blocking & any form of teamwork is allowed too.
When I play killer, I don't like to linger around. I don't have to worry about BT at all because that 12-second timer has nothing on me.
There are options available against a body-blocking Bt
EDIT: changed title
I think BT is fine as it currently is :)
-
NOED has minimal impact on my games as a solo player.
NOED has minimal impact on my games as killer unless I'm already overperforming.
NOED is pretty weak for decent players on both sides of the fence, imo.
-
Wait out BT if they try to bodyblock
Chase/down them as they are weaker than a healthy player, stayed in the area, and are already down a hook state
Pick them up
If you eat DS, see point two
Put them on the hook
It's very Important that most people need to realize that the survivor is not trying to bodyblock....they're just trying to jump back into your arms so you can rehook them, but lack the necessary mechanics to do so.
Be a dear and help them out, won't you?
-
It's refreshing to see that the universal consensus to avoiding end game DS is to tunnel/camp the person out of the game / eat DS early.
-
I like STBFL on her as she is an M1 killer.
-
If you're getting hit with DS a lot in the endgame, I guess you should just tunnel more before the gens are done to remove DS from the game at an earlier time.
As an added bonus, after you tunnel someone out of the game, gens go slower, totems last longer, your NOED is stronger endgame with less people to find it, etc.
DS in the endgame has very easy counterplay - make sure it is not in play during the endgame.
-
@Bennett_They1Them said:
I'd want them to try to make unhooks safer; either by using BT, taking a hit, or taking a BT hit after being unhooked.
Bothering to try to unhook would be nice too, dying on first hook with 4 gens left while not being camped is obnoxious.
Finish any gen they touch, obviously >_>

DBD isn't the only game I play either so..
