We ASKED for the dedicated servers. Stop putting it on the Devs. The game was BUILT for P2P not dedicated. OF COURSE there will be kinks to iron out making such a big change. Just be patient.
It's crazy how many ppl are mad about something the players harassed the devs for.
Im not saying im against the dedi server per say (i understand how useful they can theoretically be) im just wondering where the tipping point is. If there was a timeline that explains how things are going to be made better or a deadline where they are going to fix it or remove it then thats one thing. If they are just going to flip a switch and ask us to bear with it while they fumble around thats another.
"Just be patient." is the problem. I would rather hear "This is the current steps we are taking."
-
If survivors genuinely dislike that the majority of killers are Spirit/Nurse/Billy at the higher ranks then buffing the lower rank killers to their level is the best choice but i have a sneaking suspicion that isnt the real reason.
My suspicion is that if the lower end killers were to be buffed to the higher level there will be an increase in complaining, not decrease. "All killers are so over powered and this game is boring now!" will be the new mantra.
-
Its a balancing act, the servers are meant to upgrade the experience, but how long/much of the player experience are they will to ruin in order to make sure that they can improve the player experience.
I feel like its in part to see if the outrage can die down. If the game/profit can withstand the player rage for a couple weeks will people just move on and accept? Just a thought though.
-
Because people will still complain about that. People like a way to 100% counter stuff and Plague's idea is to give you a bad deal. Damned if you do, Damned if you dont.
Im worried about nerfing her because there is a good chance she would become Clown 2.0 if they decide to nerf her. Where she is an M1 killer whose power survivors tolerate while gen rushing.
-
We can always buff the lower end killers to the level of spirit, that way you wont see Spirit all the time.
-
I would say neither, instead buff the lower end killers so they have around the same viability as Billy.
-
Im sure the standard would be Thana/DyingLight/Ruin/BBQ
Some other goods ones would be Whispers, Corrupt Intervention, PGTW and Surveillance.
-
Leatherface, Clown, Doc, and Wraith.
Imo Wraith is just a worse Spirit. Remove the bell sound and have him walk faster while in camo to make him somewhat good.
Clown in theory sounds nice but the bottles dont give any good effects. I would like survivors to have the exhaustion effect while in the cloud and 3 seconds after leaving. Maybe injure players if the bottles hit them directly but that might be a bit much.
Doc is getting an addon rework although i am curious if he is getting a base kit rework too.
Leatherface is a mess, he has no map pressure and too easy to loop a deadly combo. Best insidious user though.
I know a lot of people say Legion is bad but i have pretty good games with him, he isnt in the top 5 or anything but he isnt bad. I would love to see him buffed as im sure half of the community is still sore from his previous iteration.
-
Not another clown, i would rather have Pennywise in and if we get Terrifier then the chance of a 3rd clown becomes non existent.
-
Majority of the playerbase are nice people, maybe a bit too competitive but if you get into the higher ranks its only natural your somewhat competitive. What i see is the vocal minority that out shines the silent majority so it just seems like a lot of people are toxic.
That being said if you as a rank 10 or 1 want to play a high level game and see a rank 20 failing each skill check i can see how it might get irritating. But thats on the part of match making, not the rank 20.
-
I like using Stridor, Surveillance, Ruin and PGTW. Ive had multiple matches where i essentially locked down the entire game because i have all gens marked with Survelliance so the moment one gets worked on i can hunt them down and return all progress to 0.
I feel like Surveillance is an under rated perk.
-
Didnt they increase the speed at which med kits healed and gave the best killer in the game a huge nerf? Dang those killers and their buffs.
-
He has a very slow start and no way to end chases quickly aside from planning ahead. Thats very bad since the beginning is something a killer needs to get control of as quick as possible and if you take time to set a trap while chasing they will just move on (though some can say thats the idea of trapper, to set traps ahead of time to end loops)
- Set sprung/used traps without picking them up
- Increase the hit zone of traps
- Replace the current way of getting out with the struggle mechanic
- Slightly decrease the time it takes to set a trap
- If someone who is injured springs a trap they get the deep wound status
- Carry 2 traps as the default amount
One thing ive been mulling over is how strong would it be if the traps that spawn in the beginning of the match are all ready set? I wonder if that would be too much.
-
Gotta huntress the huntress
-
4k is winning anything else is a loss, the only exception is last survivor escaping via hatch.
-
Hahaha poor Bubba getting the shaft with the one thing he is good at.
-
Billy, he is strong but there are counters, he makes you feel like the power role but survivors still have a chance, plus his zooming while gen patrolling is really fun.
-
Yea and its annoying while playing Spirit, its happened to me a few times though im not sure they were purposely trying to counter me or just being a dick. I doubt it will become a common tactic as it slows down getting gens done and its a very quick and easy way to get the killer's undivided attention.
-
Stridor lets you hear them better, if they get injured its basically impossible to hide unless you get far away.
Max brightness
Learn where common hiding spots are
Play the match and dont tunnel blendettes, if you see them then go for it but otherwise dont spend a minute searching every corner for them, unless they go full immersion you will eventually run into them throughout the match even without looking for them

No way. We don't need anymore Gen Slow down perks, and this just overloads the perk with way too many benefits. Sure it's a Basement Hook, but I really don't want killers to have any more incentive to force basement hooks.
I'm just thankful Killers don't think Agitation and Iron Grasp are good. If those two perks ever became Meta I might stop playing Survivor and just go Killer.
Dont want anymore incentive to force basement hooks? What do you think a rework of Monstrous Shrine will do? It will be interesting to see if the rework will make Agitation/Iron Grasp/Monstrous Shrine/Make your Choice a meta build. Demo and Hag would work well with it.
What if a reworked MS guaranteed basement will spawn and increases movement speed by 1/2/3% for each hooked person? I think thats a pretty good.
-
Does he have that as a copy/paste? The one is fairly creative though, gotta give ponts for using troglodyte i dont see that much (even if he misspelled it)
But, really man? That outfit? Im not one to criticize killers much but come on.
-
What i would like is;
Monstrous Shrine activates when at least 1 survivor is hooked down there.
- Get a token for hooking each survivor up to a max of 2/3/4 and at the end of the match get a 25% increase to BP for each token
- Each hooked survivor decreases the repair and healing speed of survivors by 4/6/8% and increases the speed at which survivors are sacrificed by 4/6/8%
- Each hooked survivor increases the movement speed of the killer by 2/3/4%
-
Its my guilty pleasure, when i rank down to just play around with the newbies until i get back up.
-
I would say Nurse is behind Billy/Spirit because the average Nurse is worse than the average Billy/Spirit due to the increased skill cap and how punishing blinks are now.
You might see 1 out of 100 Nurses playing at an OP level but it doesnt matter if the other 99 play worse than the average Billy/Spirit.
-
I dont mind the current NOED but if they change it i would want to remove the insta down and replace it with mori.
-
Didnt the devs say its fine? It might be a crappy thing to do but its not bannable.
My opinion on camping hooks is
- If your willing to throw the game to kill someone then go for it, your harming yourself more than the other people and good survivors can get gens done and rescue the hooked person
- If a potato decides to unhook you infront of the killer and the killer decides to down the unhooked person for an EZ kill then blame your hero, not the killer.
-
Old myers is nice, especially the builds that revolve around him staying in T1 those are really fun to play and play against.

No shirtless Myers, no interest.
Legion cosplay would look cool but everyone knows Spirit cosplay will be the highlight, as always.
-
I like exclusives that you work for. It makes them more special and having it brings a certain amount of pride. I dislike paid exclusives, and i dont really mind console exclusives.
-
Pre-Nerf Nurse is the strongest but Im counting nerfed Nurse in this discussion.
Nerfed Nurse has the highest skill cap in the game and a peak Nurse is still the strongest base killer but with how punishing Nurse is now I would say the average base Spirit player is stronger than the average Nurse player.
I voted Spirit because i feel that when its released to everyone I will see a larger amount of OP Spirits than OP Nurses.
-
Nice, i cant wait for the nerf Plague threads to start pumping out.
-
I started as killer.
- My first was Spirit because i like how she looked
- Billy is just fun to play and zooming around is neat
- Freddy's dream world looks cool
I main Feng because as a killer her screams were the most pleasing to listen to and i grew to like her. I rarely play survivor so i dont really change, Feng is good enough.
-
Makes me wonder if he will get the Freddy treatment and get a major rework putting him in the top 5 killers.
-
- I like Spirit's weapon and the face is nice except for the double chin, i dislike the body its not creepy or cool just disgusting.
- Every part of Clown looks amazing.
- Body of Hag is nice while hair/weapon is ok.
- Body and weapon of Plague is nice while head is ok.
I bought Spirit's head and plan on getting the Clown set, Spirit's Weapon, Hag's Body and Plague's Body via event.

What do you mean? I see no problem at all!
Oh god, put him back in the well.
Semi joking aside, i do like her long hair and i hope they dont shorten it. The red highlights in the Halloween hair is very nice, and i can live with the buzz cut during loading screens. My biggest problem with the Halloween event is the double chin.
-
No.
If you just pick a random person and tunnel them at the expense of the match, while thats a crappy thing to do the survivor should spend this moment wasting as much time as possible so the team can pump out some gens.
If your team mate is stupid enough to unhook you infront of me dont get mad at me for taking that EZ kill. Down you, hunt down and injure your hero and re-hook you.
-
Weird times to teabag
- While playing Spirit someone dropped a pallet and started teabagging so i phased around and downed them
- While i was patrolling gens, someone hid in the basement (assuming i wouldnt think anyone is crazy enough to hide there) and teabagged when i found them, they got hooked.
- They knew i had NOED and teabagged at the exit gates, i insta downed them and brought them to a hook
- While playing Billy someone teabagged me in the middle of rotten fields
There are the matches where the survivors run around like headless chickens. Those are the quickest 4k's.
One time i downed someone right next to a hook and the other 3 survivors wanted to body block me, this lead to 2 hooks and 2 injured.
Its crazy how sometimes survivors can be absolute genius' with balls of steel and sometimes they're potatoes.
-
I very much like Feng. She has one of the better screams when i down/hook her.
-
The biggest problem with this idea is that killers that run Ruin are only running 3 perks after its destroyed. Making Ruin a default mechanic essentially lets killers run 4 perks of their choice and Hex:Ruin.
The point of Hex:Ruin is to generate artificial pressure at the beginning of the match where survivors are at their strongest until the killer can generate their own pressure. My change would be;
Hex:Ruin no longer is a totem perk but lasts for 60/80/120 seconds.

The skins of the previous Halloween event are added back in with a 10% discount
The skins of the current Halloween event are in the game right now and can be bought with cash, but on the 22nd there will be a big update, you can then complete challenges (via archives) to get an event currency called 'Serums'
You can get a total of 60 'Serums' and you can get 1 cosmetic piece for 10 Serums which means you can get 6 event cosmetic pieces (2 complete sets)
Archives are a battle pass system similar to Fortnite where you get a free version and a paid version (paid costs $10) and you gotta complete various challenges. The Serums are only found on the free side though.
Also Nurse gets nerfed. But thats not an event only thing.
-
I can understand the sentiment that it doesnt fit with the theme of the game but i can also understand why it was added, the biggest issue i have with it is that it doesnt have any rewards that i find interesting.
-
-
Although Spirit isnt part of the update a lot of people are now eyeing her due to the nerf of the nurse so i feel like this is somewhat relevant to the update, and a lot of people have been speculating of her future.
Do you believe the Spirit will be nerfed/worked on in the future?
-
Shards are mostly there to keep new players to keep playing. Not much to do with them when you get your hours in. At this point i just like to save them up for the BP so i could max out any new killers.
-
The thing i dislike the most about Moris is how lame some of the animations are. The times i play survivor i dont particularly mind getting mori'd all i ask is to see me going off in style.
-
Ghostface/Pig with every other killer. Give every killer a command to tea bag.
-
There are issues with their copyright and while i am pretty certain they will be added in the future there is no set date. It could be in a week or in half a year.
I sent in a ticket regarding this question and this is the reply i got. They will be shrine perks, which is somewhat laughable since there hasnt had one of their perks (killer of survivor) in the past 3 iterations, when the switch players could buy stuff.
-
The queues will be interesting to see for this event. I wonder which side will have a harder time finding matches?
-
What do you mean? Just nerf Spirit now
