Shoot, I was imaging shirtless Myers at the campfire (For various audiences, some people wouldn't care except for the eye candy)

Look, I mean, we all want shirtless Myers. We just gotta spam the skin contest next year with terrible drawings of shirtless Myers.

Will dedicated survivors fix the BPS i lost because it. Lag hit by a killer 30 seconds in and camped and tunneled to death shortly after.

    @martin27

Nope, because there is nothing to fix.

Nerf Syringes: at least make them activate a 'tremendously difficult' skill check like DS or Overcharge. Those extra moments all but eliminate the times this is used for deliberate trolling play, and would promote healthier use overall.

Nerf/Adjust Iridescent Heads: as they are, they're actually mostly a detriment to emblems for both survivors and killers, because they promote fewer unhooks, chases, and general gameplay.

Buff Pig's UR addons or reduce rarity: both aren't really worth the rarity. Considering the visibility of the damn boxes, along with the length of even tampered timers, I'd argue that Rules Set No. 2 is base kit tier or common addon quality, and Amanda's Letter is just trash.

Buff Odd Bulb or reduce rarity: honestly, if they just removed the extra item consumption it'd be great. As is, it's roughly equivalent to a rare addon.

BNP seems fine to me. PGtW is getting more meta now, but frankly for every PGtW I see I also see a BNP - counterplay is fine, and they're not honestly that rare. I don't think the rarity of an addon is accurately displayed, whatever assurances BHVR doles out, but BNP seems on par with the general power level of most UR addons not on this list.

Separately, I'm not a huge fan of Tombstones, but Judith's is a particular problem. Given that the Tombstone Piece considerably drains EWIII, I'd like if JT moderately or slightly drained EWIII as well. That still makes either Tombstone pretty busted against mid/low rank survivors, especially when coupled with FToH, but mitigates some of the bullshit factor of not having to hook anyone for essentially a NOED/Ebony combo.

Even mid ranked Survivors can do gens and get out versus a Judith's Tombstone. It takes SOOOO long to fill up, especially if you are running infinite tier 3.

  • @Ksoni said:

Wanna get more points? Play killer.

Not for long apparently, didn't they say they were trying to equalize the BPS?

  • I'm sure this has happened to plenty of other people, you put up BPS you spawn next to killer and your whole game lasts 2 min if that because you are camp and tunneled to death.

This is like playing in a casino and losing, then asking for your money back. You take a chance with every game you play, you don't know what kind of player you are up against. Just suck it up and move on to your next match.

  • @purebalance7 said:

Also until you implement a blood point penalty for camping that is visibly showing the decrease on the screen, it should be 100% fine for us to implement our own if a camping killer downs us to deny them hook and sacrifice points by disconnecting.

Camping is only viable if survivors make it viable.

  • https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/935/YQBEN2VGZ19Z.png Based on how good the food will be if they cooked campfire food and served it to me.

Michael eats dogs and whatever else he can find. Not sure if he cooks them. That's in canon for the Halloween series.

I started playing the game with 2 friends during the free sale on PS4 (August/September 2018). We used to spend 10-15 minutes looking for a lobby just to be camped to death, and then repeat. After playing for less than 20 hrs, the camping pushed my friends away from the game and I switched to PC after 100-200 hrs. I am pretty sure that the playerbase would be at least twice as large if camping was not a thing.

After the recent rank reset, the matchmaking system decided that it is ok for me (as a rank 11 survivor and rank 3 before the reset) to play with rank 18/19 survivors/killers who just bought the game (some of them have less than 20 hrs of gameplay). It was very obvious that they were not having a great time; I felt really bad for them.

So yeah, the game is not friendly for new players and especially survivors.

Camping is only viable if survivors make it viable. You want tunneling to stop? Buff weaker killers or redesign maps so that they have SOME ability to gain pressure.

  • I was thinking: -Pinhead (Hellraiser) -The creature from jeepers creepers -Samara Morgan (The Ring) -Norman Bates (psycho)

I'd love to see the T-1000 from T2: Judgement Day. The hand sword thing would be SO cool. Also, I could totally see him doing that phasing through metal gates on the Rancid Abattoir center building.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

A Survivor on the ground is the same as a Survivor on the Hook, when it comes to Map Pressure.

Also, the 3 seconds (which it was before) was even without Enduring REALLY short. DS is fine now, even with 5 seconds Stun.

I would make one change, simply to prevent dumb plays. When you hook another survivor, DS is no longer active. It is supposed to be anti-tunneling, but many survivors use it as a free unhook since they know I cannot pick them up. Obviously, slugging would be preferable but 60 seconds of immunity is painful, you shouldn't be rewarded for dumb plays like that.

  • Even Billy Mains, some of them are now saying he is too OP or they don't have fun playing him, he is not balanced like the other killers and some like to play him due to a gurantee instant 4k.

Now I'm not the best survivor, but, if you stay in jungle gyms and loop him, Billy is an M1 Killer. Even on his BEST map, Rotten Fields, there are plenty of jungle gyms to loop him around.

What platform? PS4 is having a lot of issues right now. I play on Xbox and everyone is doing fine here.

  • The lag on console is terrible. No matter what we survivors do the killer always lands his hits. Every match I experience this.

Must be you, I'm not having any of these problems and I'm also on console. Maybe check your ping?

@Yamaoka I would not go as far as to say either of those are true. There can certainly be outstanding players on console that could wipe a floor with a PC player, but that is not the average case in my experience.

I also play cross-platform with console players in Paladins and Realm Royale, and a lot of the times you can clearly tell who the console players are. Whether it's pleasant to say or not, there is a discernible skill gap. Why? I don't know. But it isn't just a hardware issue. Read their forums and Reddit, others notice the gap as well. Hell, console players complain about it when facing PC players, and want the ability to opt-out (which Hi-Rez now offers).

    I don't believe DBD should entertain a cross-platform thought.

It is definitely because of hardware. Think of it like this, the two groups start with the same game. Some strategies that work on PC will NOT work on console. Some strats are unique to console and will NEVER work on PC. The playerbases have evolved differently. I do not think putting them together is wise, because of the obvious advantage PC players would have naturally. However, I've played quite a few competitive games in my day, and this has ALWAYS been true, console players adapt to the limitations and generally do not follow the same route as PC players, that does not make them less skilled.

  • @DenimChicken said:

There’s probably more immature kids and casuals playing on console than pc.

Not saying kids don’t play on pc but pc probably has a bigger pool of more serious gamers and adults

Because PC's are expensive and DbD isn't exactly well optimized.

  • @PigNRun said:

I was actually going to post about this as well. There are times when I can literally snipe-reveal him from half the map away while working on a generator. But, for instance, while being chased, it just doesnt even detect him.

In my own testing in KYF, it seems like as you are running away from Ghost Face, your own hit box blocks a significant portion of his. This makes it significantly harder to reveal him or sometimes it is impossible.

  • @Jdsgames said:

In these cases a 'end-early match' option should be given to both remaining survivor(s) and killer. If both teams agree to just end match everyone should be pipped/rewarded bps as the games current status. @Peanits maybe suggest that to the dev/design team. This way neither side loses. Although, it is wrong to hold either end hostage and both cases can be seen as 'principal' knowing the game has so many bugs to try and count this would make broken matches be able to have a quick end rather than 'wait it out' mentality. This was similar to a hatch standoff which did last way too long. Then say a match like this was to occur and the killer tried to end the match peacefully and it was denied on the survivor side the survivor is holding the game hostage. It makes clear judgement.

@Jdsgames Honestly, I'd settle for a kicked for inactivity feature, it'd solve these problems really fast.

Was the other player able to leave through the exit gate after they glitch out?

@martin27 No, they were not. I grabbed them off of the exit gate as they were opening it. They were not able to move, at all.

  • @RamiSamii said:

Found this a little late.. What was the result of the match?

  • @DenimChicken said:

How is she holding the game hostage it's not her fault it's bugged is it? Why should she have to DC?. I had a match yesterday on xbox couldn't recover on ground or wiggle on shoulder was lame.

Is the hatch or gate open?

I shut the hatch as she was the last one, I managed to down her right before the timer was up near a gate, I picked her up right as the timer ended, so my character dropped her, and then nothing. She says, "I won't do as what you want, you'll have to DC and lose all your points, toxic."

  • @Jdsgames said:

@Pulsar although, she is technically being bugged by the game. You clearly probably won the match otherwise. I would not only report her I would upload the footage to Youtube/Twitch for the devs to be able to see what had happened. She is taking the game hostage.

I am on Xbox, so recording is a bit of a hassle. I've been streaming on Xbox's garbage service called Mixer.

  • @Tsulan said:

    Yes, it does.

Who can I go to for help?

  • @Yamaoka said:

Just play killer. It's - BY FAR - easier right now than solo survivor.

    Depends on your rank.

  • @gantes said:

Firstly Prayer Beads has no reliable counterplay whatsoever and should be gutted. That shouldn't even be a debate. Even some Spirit mains agree, the reasonable ones at least.

Secondly, arguably every killer CAN perform if you pick the most OP add-ons (except for like Bubba). However, that's not good balance. Base killers should be viable at high ranks, just like survivors don't need items to remain competitive.

    That's all.

I agree with the Prayer Beads. They need to be looked at or swap places with the Glasses. You will almost certainly safety or de-pip if you play most killers at high ranks, even with pink add ons. But I do agree, every killer should at least be somewhat viable at high ranks.

  • Take away the ability for them to break you out of power while crouched.

They already said they have no plans to buff him in the coming months.

  • @Gardenia said:

Yes, I'm currently in Purple Ranks, I'm maining him now actually. With GF like @ClogWench said you have to have good situational awareness, good game sense, and a solid grasp on mindgames because your stealth will amplify your mindgaming ability. Especially in Jungle Gyms.

With his power, stalk when necessary and try to move around unnoticed. However, don't get too caught up in stalking. If you can sneak a hit do it.

His lack of map pressure is also deceiving, because of a zero TR, he can be any where if undetected.

I enjoy him very much even after this hotfix I'm getting consistent results.

Good luck to you. Oh and yes you can grab someone off a gen while crouching.

    Good luck :)

Currently at Rank 1, the whole "downed and hooked survivors knock you out" is really rough. His perks aren't great. I'm All Ears is okay though. Thrilling Tremors needs to be on a shorter cooldown to be useful. Furtive Chase just sucks though, it's like a poor man's M&A. His power is alright, he needs a boost to something while he's in it or out of it. Like Myers is Tier 3 with his faster vault and better lunge. Stalking is rough because Survivors abuse the crap out of the 3rd person camera. I wouldn't buy him if you expect him to be viable at high ranks, though admittedly, he FEELS fun as hell.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/551076#Comment_551076

how would you know? the only killer you play is spirit

every killer is "viable" at high ranks provided you bring the right perks and are good at killer, nurse and spirit will just land you more wins because they break the game

The amount of down votes should tell you how wrong you are. Try to play Freddy, Wraith, Trapper, Clown, Pig, Bubba, Plague or Legion at Rank 1.

  • @miaasma said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/551090#Comment_551090

    you got me

@Blueberry i've played vs you at least a dozen times and every game you played spirit (and every game you didn't run prayer beads you got destroyed)

Alright here. Ghost Face is incredibly weak at high ranks. It doesn't take a genius to see that.

  • Do you plan to look at detection perks and how they affect GhostFace while he is in Night Shroud?

  • @slammizzle said:

I'm an average killer at best and when I come across a good looper that's wasting my time I leave them alone and go for all the other survivors instead. Why do most people think unless they kill all 4 survivors they have had a bad game or unless they escape they have had a bad game?? Isn't the main purpose to pip??

    Because a 2k is normally a safety.

  • Your own hitbox blocks a good portion of his. That is why its harder to spot him while directly in front of you or when running away.

  • I have to say the reason the end game collapse was added was because survs tea bagged the killer at the exit gates and prolonged the game but now the end game collapse allows killers to do what the survs used to do what the killers complained about also the fact that the devs added a killer that can tea bag (ghost face) all im seeing is ghost faces that slug once all gens r done and open a gate and wait for the end game collapse to kill everyone on the ground and tea beg the whole game i thought the reason the devs added the end game collapse was to stop things like this from happening and now i just see it happening more often so just please remove the end game collapse or just rework ghost face (he is quite strong once again a pay to win killer like micheal).

    Bait.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I would say to any killer, starting at rank 6, you have to play nasty. No way around it. You're often dealing with multiple instaheals and Adrenaline. Ruin will usually be a non-factor if you run it.

Honestly, i've been dealing with two instant heals and two BNP recently. Wake Up has excacerbated the gen management problem.

Here is the common situation - a survivor saves you, the killer is coming back to tunnel cause he wants to catch you close to the hook to speed up the kill. The one that saves takes a hit to protect you and they often will take another hit and go down close to the same hook. Now he is on the hook in exchange for you and the killer is back to following your scratch marks in the direction you were headed listening for injured noises to continue the tunnel on you. Really easy on many maps.

Then he isn't tunneling. He is playing smart, is he supposed to LET you get away?
